Five stars! This place is a must-try. The combination of great food and great prices is hard to beat, and the service was truly amazing. We went deep into the menu, trying everything from appetizers and the tandoori platter to the naan, a variety of curries (the butter chicken was a highlight!), and four different desserts. Everything was great—a genuine culinary gem that we will definitely be returning to.

I went back on 11 Oct 2025 and everything ordered was beyond delish. Especially the Lamb Tikki Masala. Matter of fact, I just ordered 2 for pick up at the time of writing.

It's about time we have a true Indian restaurant in Kenosha.

This restaurant is located where Charcoal Grill once was. Place was remodeled, giving it that Indian decor. Upon walking in, you would expect a bigger place, but don't fret, there is a bigger banquet hall next door for larger parties. I was immediately greeted and seated. Not so loud Indian music is playing in the background. There are plenty of booth tables, bar height tables, and a square like bar area with counter height seating. It is a full bar. I myself have never tried to drink any alcoholic beverages whenever I've eaten Indian food. Ruins the taste to me.

Honestly, I have to say, I didn't experience any of the negatives that were posted on Yelp. They have made a lot of changes since my first review.

I know, you're probably saying come on dude, the foooooood! Lol

First, they have a large selection of appetizers and meals. My food overall was a 5 out of 5. I had the Chicken Malai Tikka Rolls, which was outstanding, especially with the mint sauce and the cream sauce. I don't understand why my taste buds went crazy when I added the red onion to my fork. Flavor was all over my tongue, and no it wasn't spicy. For my main course, I had the Lamb Saag with medium spice. Medium was just enough heat for me. Good lord, that meat was so tender. It's a delicious dish that comes with rice and I ordered the Garlic Naan. I do believe you will be pleased with the food, but if I say I'll be back, that means the food is pretty decent. The prices are pretty decent to as nothing is over $19.00.

For dessert, I had the Tres Leches Cake. Yummy it was. Soft and spongy in the middle and not too sweet. I was surprised when they told me it house made and not store bought.

The wait staff was awesome. I can't count the number of times I was checked on. I really appreciated that a lot, because it allowed me time to ask questions. They even explained some of the menu items as well.

Couple of things to note. They have a lunch buffet Monday through Thursday from 11 to 3. Menu items expected to change daily. Lastly, they will allow payment of your bill at the table. I asked and they obliged.

It might be obvious the staff might be new at this, but to me they are willing and able to make a few changes as needed. I wish India Masala House nothing but success. I'll be back for sure. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Very bad English from the guy taking the orders and VERY poor hygiene. It was bad. He was also very rude and pretty much told me what I could or couldn’t add to my order which all I asked for was extra sauce. The guy who gave me the food was nicer and pretty much saved my experience from being all around terrible. Food was decent.
I won’t be returning to this location. UPDATE: I just got the notification that the business responded and I wanted to add IT MOST CERTAINLY HAPPENED AT THIS RESTAURANT. Will upload receipt if needed.

We tried fish and paneer butter masala and goat biriyani. Fish was ok, but didn’t liked the butter masala much. And for biriyani, I give 1 star. As a biriyani lover, I don’t think that was even biriyani, that was kind of pulao with goat in it. Overall ambiance is good, nice and big.

We have been here multiple times for dinner and ordered off the menu. FANTASTIC food everytime we have been there. Had the opportunity this week to try the Lunch buffet, and all I can say is WOW! The Dal Makhani is possibly the best tasting dish I’ve had that isn’t American food. We will definitely be back. The Butter Chicken, the Dal, the Curry, all of it you could tell was made with authenticity. India Masala House has some of the best Indian (mainly Punjabi) food anywhere! It is always hot and fresh, tasty and delicious; the staff are very friendly and polite, and will answer your questions about many of the dishes and tell how they are prepared. The atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing; there are very big windows on the side and you can look out at the sky while you are eating.
The food is excellent; the spice levels vary across the different dishes so be sure to ask your server. They are happy to heat them up or cool them down for you, and will also bring you little samples before ordering as well.
The samosas are almost as good as Mummie's, absolutely bursting with flavour and spice.
The Hyderabadi chicken is a treasure. Oh, my god. It's so good. I can't stop eating it.
The Chicken Biryani is wonderful, as is the Vegetable Masala. Oh, my goodness!
There is also a buffet Tuesdays through Fridays which is terrific; there are lots of dishes and you can try them all.
This is a terrific restaurant and I plan to return, very soon!

I 10/10 recommend this place. I can’t emphasize enough how flavorful the food is! We ordered appetizers and the Chana dal Tadka (my favorite), Chili Channa, Shrimp makhini, and the Fish Curry. I was excited to try this since there’s so few Indian restaurants between Schaumburg and Milwaukee. Unfortunately this was a case of false advertising..I ordered the mixed veggie platter thinking I’d get to sample a smaller version of everything in the picture. We normally travel much farther (over an hour each way) either towards Chicago or Milwaukee to find an authentic Indian buffet, so was so excited when this opened within 30 minutes of the house. The first time it was not bad, especially the fresh naan that was brought to our table.

We tried it a few weeks later and were so disappointed. Many of the sides were the mini versions of things you can find in the freezer of an Indian grocery (samosas, etc.). No fresh naan. Blaring music through the ceiling speakers. Oh - and in that short time the price went up by $3 per person!

We will have to continue taking our long journeys near Chicago and Milwaukee to get something yummy. I think this place must know they pretty much have part of the very small market of Indian food in the Kenosha area and can get away with this.

Very first time at the restaurant and first time having Indian food. My boyfriend loves Indian food so we went somewhere local for his birthday. I was pleasantly impressed with the service and quality/portions of food! Our server Krish was very friendly and professional. He answered all of my questions & remained patient even though the restaurant was closing soon. My boyfriend had a wonderful birthday made even more special by dinner at Masala House. I've been meaning to try this place for over a year. I waited far too long. This is one of the best restaurants in Kenosha County, top 5, easy. The best Indian food I've had in a long time, better than anything in Lake county IL. The lamb tikka masala was SO delicious. The chicken curry was very good too. Wow!! This place is great!! The atmosphere,service and the food was out of this world! My wife was hesitant, but she was on cloud nine! We've had Indian food all over the world, and honestly this is some of the best. We had the Aloo Tikki Chat appetizer, which was exceptional. For entrees we had the Masala Chaap, a vegetarian dish you'd swear contained meat, the Lamb Kadhai, and the Lamb Biryani. Every bite was delicious. Our server was attentive, friendly, extemely knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. The restaurant is spotless and beautifully decorated. We will be back again and again!

I have enjoyed this restaurant numerous times in the past. Whether I've been solo or with friends. I love it so much that I helped to set up an outing with my church family. I wanted to them to experience great Indian food and service. Indian Masala did not disappoint as usual. Church fam fell in love just as I have. Food was excellent and the service was even better. We dined in there banquet room and it was an intimate setting. The manager (RD) provided us with tasty cuisine such as butter chicken (my favorite), chicken pakora, tandoori chicken, naan bread and so much more. Most of our church family had never eaten Indian food. They came away very satisfied and vowed to frequent this establishment in the future. This is a hidden gem in Kenosha. Good service, good food and reasonable pricing. It's doesn't get any better than that!!!

I was so excited to see an Indian restaurant open pretty close to home and couldn't wait to try it. I decided to give it a shot by making it my birthday dinner meal with my dad because our tradition is usually either Indian or sushi. It was absolutely amazing, it blew away our expectations. Everything was delicious as in we ordered a bunch of stuff and we genuinely enjoyed every bite of every dish which is so rare, the vibes of the decor were pretty & inviting, the staff was super wonderful especially Kish and the prices were so surprisingly reasonable with big portions in the dishes. When they found out it was my birthday they brought me a dessert and even sang me happy birthday which I totally wasn't expecting. They have some guaranteed return customers now. My dad and I want to make it a regular thing and how could we not? A delicious Indian spot only 20 minutes away was a dream come true. Some of the best Indian food my wife and I have had. Very pleased with how friendly and attentive the staff was. Finding places to bring a toddler out for dinner can be difficult, and messy. Our waiter Harry was very welcoming and patient with our toddler daughter.

With the quality of the food, prices, and atmosphere…it’s shocking this restaurant is not more packed.

Excellent Food! We tried Samosa Chat for the first time and will have to get it every time moving forward! Excellently spiced sauce and crispy samosa. Ordered takeout - their butter chicken is above average and the paneer makhani is phenomenal. Mango lassi is also recommended. I am extremely spice sensitive, so I asked for no heat. Considering the type of food, I think they did a great job. The butter chicken was a little much for me, but the paneer makhani was basically fine. Someone with normal palate will find the spice levels totally manageable, no matter how white you are :P

This is a great find in Kenosha, Wisconsin! Authentic Indian cuisine, served in a pleasant atmosphere by pleasant and professional staff. The decor is very relaxing and inviting. The tableware is very nice, not chintzy or cheap. The service is outstanding. Our server, Harry, must have been trained at a fine-dining establishment or dinner club. He was prompt, courteous, and professional as he explained the daily specials, the anniversary pre-set meal, and answered our questions about the various dishes. The price is also extremely good considering the amount of food, the complexity of the dishes, the luxury of the surroundings, and the professionalism of the staff. We will be returning whenever we are in the area and craving Indian food, and we hope that Harry will be our server again!

Best restaurant in kenosha, honestly best I've had period. Staff is always friendly, restaurant itself is beautiful with tasteful decor. Seating feels intimate and not exposed like most restaurants.
