I cannot attest to the quality of the rooms, but I can attest to the quality of the bartender service at the bar. Myself and some friends came in during the harvest fest- bar was somewhat busy, which I understand can be stressful. Bartender was a woman wearing a purple shirt and had brown hair, flower tattoo on her arm. When it was just me and two others service was pleasant. When the rest of the group came in she then demanded that we all go on one tab because she didn’t want us paying separate. When a friend asked for a water as they weren’t drinking she said “you can get a 1$ water outside” refusing to serve him. Her attitude to the rest of the group was unpleasant after this. I have been to many bars and never received such an uninviting attitude out of the blue- it was as if a flip had switched for no reason. Very sad as it is a beautiful place and the service was fantastic at first.

My husband and I enjoyed our dinners; especially the soups (black bean and chicken and rice), the bbq baby back ribs (best in Door County) and the finale - deep dish Door County Cherry pie which they make in their in-house bakery (ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS)! 🍒

Missed seeing the Chicken Pot Pie (my personal favorite) - SO GOOD, but only available in the winter… We’ll be back!

We had a group of 14 in for a birthday visiting from Green Bay, and literally every single person had amazing things to say about their experience at the restaurant here. We didn't stay at the inn but we ate at the restaurant last weekend. As the only vegan in my family, sometimes it's hard to find meals without asking for a million changes (which I know can be annoying to any kitchen). I was elated to see VEGAN COCONUT CURRY NOODLES on the menu. Oh my goodness, this dish was AMAZING!!!! It was the best meal I've had at a restaurant in ages. Thank you so much for being considerate different dietary choices. You absolutely knocked it out of the park. The other three non-vegans loved their meals, as well :)
Lastly, we had an excellent, attentive, kind server - but unfortunately I didn't ask her name. If you're reading this and you remember the vegan from Sunday dinner, YOU ARE LOVELY! Sorry I didn't ask your name. We will definitely be back!

We did not stay there but just went for drinks in the bar. My wife had the elderflower cocktail and really liked it. I tried a Wisconsin old fashioned and it was not my type of cocktail but I had to try one when in Wisconsin. It had 7 UP in it. Not the bars fault. :)

Terrible dinner: smelly and hard roasted Brussels sprouts (ordinarily I love them) grease soaked Walleye, Elote salad which was 99% greens. All served without a smile, no meal check in, no water refill, and the main arrived 5 minutes after the salad was served, so it got cold.
Room was ok in general, but bed firm *and lumpy, sheets scratchy, no glass or plastic drink ware, no bath soap, no shampoo, no conditioner, no wash cloths.
This is my second sub-standard meal there and first stay.

Stopped in the bar for a cocktail on Saturday, October 19, waited approximately 15 minutes for service. Bartender seemed to be struggling to keep up with orders from both bar and restaurant. My brother had an old fashioned, which was good. My mojito was not. Though mint leaves were in it, they couldn’t have been muddled as their flavor didn’t show, nor did any simple syrup. The only flavors evident were club soda, rum and salt.

I have been to Cedar Crossing Restaurant three times in two weeks. The menu offers a wide variety of offerings. The Sunday chicken special is excellent, although some gravy would be nice. I also had the walleye, which was also excellent. Service was very good, although I found it odd that upon leaving the person as the desk looked at us, but didn't say "goodbye" or "thanks."

The ambiance is very nice, which sets a tone of elegance, yet the servers wear cheap tee-shirts and the menus were creased and soiled, both of which undermine the ambiance.

The cutest inn! We absolutely loved our stay! Our room was quaint and had a cozy fireplace. The staff were very nice and helpful. Coffee, tea, fresh pastries in the morning were all wonderful. The downtown location was convenient and only about half hour from numerous state parks.

Super rude staff in the restaurant. I can’t speak on the hotel itself. We weren’t greeted but glared at by the hostess with the heavy eyeliner and large hair. I asked to be seated for two and she said nothing and we followed to where we sat for ten minutes while they chatted about. Took a day trip to Sturgeon Bay with a friend. I was looking forward to lunch because I've been there before. I ordered the Mediterranean Salad with chicken. First ingredient listed is mixed greens. It came in a bowl with no mixed greens or feta cheese. I questioned the waitress. and she said that's the way it comes. So, I basically paid $22 for tomatoes and cucumbers on a bed of croutons. If you don't have the ingredients to make something on the menu, it would be nice if you would just say so. And I guess I must look like a moron that she felt she could lie to my face. I won't be going back.

We had a group of 11 come in for dinner. Cocktails were good, and food was good. 2- 3 stars for the service- at the end of our dinner, the waitress asks if we want another drink or dessert, which would indicate that there is no rush for the table to be turned over. We decline, and then she comes back with the bill and says she can’t split the bill for us and can only split evenly per person, or in two checks only (as someone who has worked as a waitress, this should have been made clear when we sat down). She then says that she could split it up for us, but that it would take her a very long time and that there is another large party coming in 30 minutes and needs our table. As we try to figure out the bill, the waitress comes back a few minutes later again and says “the next party is here now, so not to rush you but we need the table”. When we supposedly still had 30 minutes! So now we feel rushed and pressured to pay with one credit card, and end up leaving the restaurant to stand on the sidewalk to Venmo the one person who paid. We also didn’t see anyone waiting for a table, let alone a large group. I understand that large parties are stressful and time consuming, but a forewarning of bill splitting and table reservation time would have gone a long way in having good service. I had also called the restaurant several times about our reservation prior to the day, and that would have been a good time to mention these two things as well. As it was, we felt rushed and it ruined our dining experience. I would only recommend this restaurant if you have a small group.

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend recently. We were so pleased with our time here!! The rooms smelled so fresh and clean. The decor was pretty and added to the ambiance. The breakfast (specifically the pastries) were a smash hit! Our first night we decided to eat at the restaurant and were blown away. My steak was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. And when I say try the fries… TRY THE FRIES. I’ve been dreaming of them since we left.

The staff were so helpful and friendly! And we happened to be in town during their farmers market which was just around the corner. The location is ideal!

We will most certainly be back again.

I have never been more sure of a 3-star review. This place was mediocrity by a thousand cuts. I have no complaints about the quality of the food but wasn't impressed by anything. I also felt that the price wasn't quite right for the experience and would have liked to see a little better value. My wife had the risotto and I had the burger. The risotto was cooked well but—again—didn't leave any major impression on us. The burger was tasty but not wholly different than a $6 In-N-Out double-double. Our cocktails were completely serviceable but just so forgettable for what should have been a slam dunk. The flavors were good but needed to come through more strongly. We got the mousse for dessert and wished we had done the cherry pie; I won't claim that it was from frozen but I certainly would have a hard time telling it apart from a Sara Lee product.

Service was friendly but not outstanding. Weird pacing to our dishes/drinks coming out but that's no fault of our server.

I was disappointed because this restaurant was lauded as a must-do and at the top of every list. Overall, I think it was fine and an option if you're traveling but you'll be just fine if you elect to dine elsewhere.

Had dinner last night at the CC, and as always it was incredible.

It was a very busy evening, but the food came out hot and the server, I think her name was Olivia, took her time with us so we didn't feel rushed.

We enjoyed my favorite appetizer, the lemon feta dip, and I had an incredible Walleye for dinner. All followed by their Cherry pie, which is out of this world.

And, please try an espresso martini. Not sure what they put in there, but delicious.

We went here for the first time last year on our vacation and the food was extraordinary, the ambiance was lovely and the service was incredible. We raved about it to all of our friends. Oh what a difference a year makes. We went tonight for our anniversary and we were seated at 7:45. Drinks by 8. Our food didn't arrive until 9. An hour and fifteen minutes after being seated. We were the last table in the restaurant to be served. A 4-top, 2-top, and 8-top that arrived after were all served first. The food was still amazing, but I was so irritated that we just took it to go just to get out of the place. Completely disorganized service. There was obviously no manager or coordinator on duty and it showed. At this point we're unlikely to return.

Good service but surprised when we said we hated a drink they didn’t take it away or remove from bill. My drink was like drinking maple syrup out of a jar (supposed to be old fashioned). Their burrata dish with crostini is a bit weird. The combination is a bit strange and the fact they serve it with toasted bread with cheese on top makes no sense to me. We asked for soft bread on the side and was a bit better. We had the cherry pie but it was nothing to write home about. It was just ok. Too sweet for me but maybe that’s me. People seem very nice but not a place I would go back for for food. Do not recommend unless nothing else is open.

We used to be able to go see the rooms but they don't allow that anymore since covid. I have stayed here in the past and loved it! This time we just ate dinner at the restaurant. I love the menu options, the atmosphere is very cozy and lovely. It's a nice place to go dressed up, but they made us feel very welcome even though we were in jeans and sweatshirt. We enjoyed the restaurant only and want to give a shout out to a super dining experience. Our server, Andrea, was amazing from start to finish, as we relied on her to recommend some of her favorites. My Door County Cherry Cosmopolitan was refreshing with a generous pour. I decided to do an app/salad dinner and WOW. The lemon feta dip was one of the best I've had--the lemon flavor was pure and pronounced with plenty of feta throughout, paired with a generous portion of tender pieces of naan. Quaint old inn with attached restaurant and bar. This is a place that I'm sure is overlooked by people passing Sturgeon Bay while visiting Door County.

Not a place for families as the rooms are smaller. Its a restored building with antique woodwork and updated baths. They did a good job maintaining the charm.

The Inn is a nice getaway for couples. Very convenient process for checking in and out. Innkeepers are super kind and helpful. Kindness is way above average.

Stayed here for two nights in July. Very nice little boutique hotel with excellent service! If you're looking for a quiet hotel for a couple, this is it. Great location downtown Sturgeon Bay that allows you to walk to everything. The breakfast had was a nice selection of local bakery items, good coffee, juices, fruit, etc. We loved the local cookies in the room, the snacks in the breakfast area, the bagged ice and waters.

Restaurant review: We made a reservation at the restaurant downstairs for dinner on a Friday night. I ordered a Ribeye and my wife Chicken risotto. Her risotto was excellent and we both had some it was thay good and a good portion. My steak was good but my sides were a bit disappointing (baked potato and green beans). The reason they were a let down was because they were very plain. No butter, no seasoning, no flavor. I would have preferred something to jazz those sides up or even the option of potato wedges or fries. Other than that it was a nice, quiet date night spot that I recommend trying.

We decided to take a trip to Door County and had about a month or so to make reservations and plan. Knowing how difficult it can be to find a place to stay, especially so last minute, we were excited there was a room here and booked immediately. Never having stayed in Sturgeon Bay we didn't know what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised by how cozy and charming the inn was. Our room (#9) was cozy and homey, we loved sitting out on the balcony, the baked goods were delicious, and the atmosphere of the historic building was wonderful. We also had dinner at the restaurant one night and it did not disappoint. This was our first ever trip just the two of us in almost 8 years, but we won't be waiting another 8 to visit again! Will be recommending the Inn and restaurant to others!

This was my first time to Sturgeon Bay. I stayed at the inn on June 27, and I will definitely be back. What a great cozy place to stay. The staff is amazing! They were very friendly and helpful, and their hospitality was outstanding. The room was very clean, and the bed and pillows were most comfortable. I stayed in room 9 and enjoyed the porch for evening drinks and morning coffee. Their bakery provided very tasty scones and other baked items in the breakfast room. I also had dinner at the restaurant. The beef tenderloin was delicious, and I somehow found room for the cherry pie, which I highly recommend. I wish I could have stayed longer. I felt at home here and can't wait to come back!

My mom and I recently took a girls trip to Door County, it was the first time we stayed at the Inn and we will be back! Both the restaurant and hotel were impressive, we loved the vibe here. Shoutout to Tom who assisted us with checking in and giving us a tour of both our room and what they offered for complementary breakfast - He also had great recommendations for what to do around the area during our stay (This was our first time in the area in about 15 years!) - Our bartender Monday evening was super nice too, though I can not remember her name.

The location is great, staff is friendly and sleeping room was comfortable and quiet. The provided breakfast was nice and convenient. We only stayed one night in order for my husband to go fishing for business, but we'll definitely be back for a longer visit!

Dinner was really good!! They source locally and you can tell there is intention behind each dish. We started with the goat cheese and olive tapenade. It was nice and the crostini was crispy and delish. I had the in bone pork chop - it was topped with a tangy maple garlic glaze that was subtle but nice. The Chop itself had a great char. My husband had the perch. This dish was a bit misleading as it read “lightly dusted/floured” but instead was very breaded and seemed to be deep fried rather than pan fried. That was disappointing but he consumed it all - so there’s that. Kids menu was standard but offered an organic hamburger for the win - I took a bite of my sons and it was amazing! Ambiance is so charming and very cozy. Our server & the hostess were all really nice and attentive. We will visit again from Chicago soon!!

My wife and I stayed at the Inn September 23rd and 24th. The rooms are very nice. The staff was beyond nice. The only problem is that starting at 2AM until at 4AM there are MANY drunk people in the halls and in their rooms being extremely noisy. I am not being dramatic, it was impossible to sleep. Unlike a hotel there is nobody at the front desk to talk to. Again, the staff was so nice. I would never stay here again.

This is a great, unique play to stay in Sturgeon Bay. We stayed in Room 6, which had beautiful woodwork and a separate sitting area. The staff is welcoming and the whole place was well cared for. The downstairs restaurant was also enjoyable- be sure to have the cherry pie for dessert.

Me and my boyfriend were driving by and decided to stop for lunch. The place is super cute inside, but sadly the food just wasn’t up to par. I ordered the chicken curry wrap and the potato salad and it was the most bland food I’ve ever eaten. My boyfriend ordered the egg salad and steak fries which was a tiny bit more flavorful, but also not very flavorful. We left feeling disappointed.

The food here is incredible. We had the grain salad and hummus platter last night and the black bean chili and curry noodles tonight. We were in Door County visiting friends who live in the area. There were 8 of us and we were lucky to get reservations for Saturday evening! Our entire experience was outstanding! Our server was friendly and professional! The menu offered a variety of choices and each selection was delicious! Wife and I travel a lot and we both agree that hands down, Inn at Cedar Crossing is a must place to eat!

We have nothing negative to say about anything! Drinks are amazing, cheese curds and Hummus are amazing, vegetarian Curry with Samon, and the falafel burger are AMAZING!!!!

On top of amazing food and drinks, the service was inviting, and made us feel welcomed!

My wife and I stopped in around 820pm after getting back to our hotel late and they were the closest place. I had the chicken piccata and she had the chicken risotto. My piccata was immaculate, the sauce was blended perfectly and the chef read my mind. I don't like capers so I asked for it without. The chef being brilliant still cooked them into the sauce but pulled them out while plating my dish. The wife's risotto was also made very well. The service was exceptional even though we stopped in 40 minutes before close.

It's our first time visiting the area and decided to try this place after seeing it had several 5 star reviews. We were not disappointed! Not only are the servers and bartenders friendly and knowledgeable, the hostess/manager Ann Marie really takes the time to welcome you and makes sure your experience is great from start to finish. For our meals we chose the Chicken Piccada and the chef's choice Tuna special which was rare and blackened. Everything was fresh, made from scratch and very tasty. We would definitely return and try their desserts another day!

We were very disappointed that they do not offer outdoor seating and they would not allow us to place a takeout order. We called on a Sunday at 4:30 pm. They were open and not that busy. Our preference was to do a takeout order, but they just said no. (They even have tables outside. Those tables have notes saying no outdoor service.)
This used to be one of our favorite places to eat in Door County, but no more. It's hard to believe that they would have this attitude when they are doing business in a tourist area. They should be able to accommodate a takeout order.
We went a few doors down to Crave restaurant and asked about outdoor dining service. They said "absolutely" and provided a good meal with great service.

If you are driving through Sturgeon Bay, Wi, make sure you stop at Cedar Crossing-it is a hidden treasure. First, every staff member displays a smile that lights up a room and they are genuine. From the very engaging hostess to the waitstaff (and even the owner) they couldn't be more welcoming. The food is excellent. They are committed to quality from the appetizers to the deserts. The deserts are homemade on-site and the mouse and cheery pie are unequalled. My wife had the perch and said it was the best she has ever had. I had the tenderloin and it was done perfectly. Given the quality of the service and food we will certainly be back again. Top notch from the food to the people - a rare find these days.

An unplanned jem. We had planned to eat at the Italian place across the street but they closed early due to "an emergency situation". So we went to Ceder Crossing and inquired about a table. Not having a reservation they said it would be up to 45 minutes wait, but we had a table in closer to 20. We had their Olive Tepanade with Goat cheese and the Crab Cakes for appetizers. The Tepanade was awesome. The creamy goat cheese was very mild and complimented the salty sweet olives perfectly. The crabe cakes were also very good, a little small, and less unique, but but very good. For entrees; my wife had chicken picatta, it was fantastic and I would bet money the noodles that came with it were made in house from scratch. They were tender but not mushy. It also had a lot of capers which she appreciated. I had the Ribeye steak with green onion and gorgonzola butter. The steak was cooked well, I order it rare, and the coumpound butter was perfect, not too much funk from the gorgonzola. The mashed potatoes that I ordered with it were a very pleasent surprise as they were clearly real potato and super buttery and well seasoned. The green beans were just ever so slightly overcooked, but since there were clearly fresh they still had great flavor. For dessert we shared a chocolate mousse. The mousse came on a nice short bread style crust, which was great, but I will admit the mousse itself was a little dense. It walked a line between mousse and chocolate cream pie. Still had a deep, rich chocolate flavor, but was not exactly what was expected when ordering mousse. Over all a fantastic experience, would highly recommend, and will definitely be back next time we are in door county.
