Staff were very nice and helpful. Location is prime for downtown activities and Lake Michigan. The rooms.. yuck. OLDEST bedspreads I have ever seen. Laminate flooring but my socks were BLACK after walking around the room. Blankets had hair all over them. Also housekeeping was staring into our window in the morning, even after he saw we were still there. Only 8:30 am .

Other then the dead bed bugs I found when I took off the sheets the hotel wasn't bad. When I showed the front desk person in the morning he stated that the bug person was coming to spray that day but offered nothing else. Basically treated me like I had brought them with me. Check-in was personable and staff were friendly! The location is prime right next to a beautiful park and around the block from the best down/up town Sheboygan has to offer. The rooms are super clean and updated. The AC is cold and the smart mini fridge is awesome. I feel safe and comfortable which is the most important aspect of my stay. We just returned from a one-week visit to Sheboygan and among the highlights as always was our stay at Inn of Sheboygan (formerly named Fountain Park Motel). Frank, Michelle, and Zach are unfailingly friendly and kind, the room and location excellent, the price unbeatable, the restaurant a cool place to eat. Already looking forward to next time!

Check in went well. We got to our room, and we had gotten the extra blanket & pillows we requested. For some reason our window was open though. We had requested the room be cooled, but not cold when we got there.
We didn't like that the room had no carpeting at all (all hardwood/laminate flooring), was cold & uncomforable to walk on. The room was lit up all night like it was the middle of the day because of all the lights in the parking lot shining through the top, bottom & sides of our curtains; it would be very nice if they could put in some room darkening shades behind the curtain that can be pulled down for darkening the room. It was super noisy--could here car & room doors shutting, people talking, etc all night long. There were people smoking right outside their room, so when we walked out, poof, a nice cloud of cigarette smoke in our face and in our lungs. The soap dish in the shower has a very sharp corner on it, very dangerous, someone could hurt themselves on that pretty badly. When someone is showering, the water splashes out from under the shower curtain. The people that clean the room were standing outside our door like they were waiting for us to leave so they could clean, and this was pretty early, like 7am or before; checkout is 10:30. We thought that was kind of rude, annoying, and imposing on our privacy. We were putting things in our car, and they were right by our door with their cleaning cart. The restaurant right next door is unreasonably pricey--we were pretty disappointed in how expensive it was. We went somewhere else for breakfast the next morning.

This isn't a fancy place to stay, but the room was clean and the price was right. Not sure what all I signed off on at registration (things like no smoking and no drinking outside of your room), but the list was lengthy! We had a basic room with two double beds. At check in, we were told that the water would be off at 7:30 a.m. because of construction; wasn’t super happy to hear that news, but then that didn’t end up happening as there no construction happened on the weekend. Free coffee was available at the motel’s restaurant for registered guests. We only picked up a coffee for the road in the morning, but the menu prices seemed to be very reasonable and the two ladies working in the restaurant were awesome! We had read mixed reviews about the Fountain Park prior to booking, but it was located very close to a concert we were attending at Paradigm Coffee and Music so we took a chance.

Guy in the office was nice. Other than that, the room had a weird stale odor. The guy that was sweeping the parking lot decided to sweep around my car and repeatedly struck my car over and over til he noticed me walk towards him. And finally did not get much sleep since they were working on the roof so early in the morning. Find a different place.

We stayed here for a night for an event in the city. The rooms are nicely renovated and overall pretty clean. There was quite a bit of hair in our shower and the room had a unique odor to it, perhaps from renovation? It really did not bother us but worth noting. Check in was a breeze. The desk has someone at it all evening which was nice for late check ins.
The restaurant attached had great breakfast before we hit the road after checking out.
It is not the Hilton by any means, but it's comfortable, safe, and conveniently located.
If you're looking for a budget friendly place to rest while you're out exploring the city, this is the spot for you. 😊We will stay again.

This place is the the former Fountain Park Motel and is very well known locally as being a drug motel.||My Niece her boyfriend and their 11 month old son came to town for a visit and advised them to not stay there because of what goes on there. They chose to do their own thing and now regret it. They came for 2 nights and on the 2nd day at around 11:00 am. Mt niece received a phone call from the motel telling her that they all had to leave because of drug use. Apparently somebody smelled weed near their room. When my niece was trying to tell the woman who called her the woman was laughing. I'm not going to say that my Niece is an angle but will say that weed would never be used around her 11 month old. Without any proof or evidence and while my Niece was not even there, she was kicked out and charged for that night. This place does not have a good history or reputation and it continues with this type of behavior of the staff.

Every time we come back home to visit, we would stay at The Inn, no different this time. Saturday morning I received a call from the hotel that they were kicking us out, saying that we had been smoking marijuana in the room, which we absolutely had not. The woman who called was laughing on the phone saying it doesn't matter, you're kicked out. We could even smell someone smoking the previous night, so we are unsure why this woman decided to accuse us and kick us out, but we definitely were not pleased, especially with her laughing.
We had NO WHERE TO GO with our under 1yr old, but this woman wouldn't even let me speak. Assumptions suck, especially when they are untrue and totally ruin a vacation. We absolutely loved staying here with the location, renovated rooms and amazing service every other time, not sure why this time was different

2 star motel says it all. Literally just needed a place to crash after a night out as to not have to drive 2 hours home after visiting a friend playing in a band. Place is decorated like a 80's horror film. Owner is extremely rude, hot headed. Bed might have well been springs with a sheet on it. At night the park across the street had homeless people begging for money, cigarettes, anything (literally verbatim). Daytime the park looked nice. Would never recommend this place. Do yourself a favor stay elsewhere and Uber to your venue.

We recently returned from a week in Sheboygan where we stayed at Fountain Park Motel, our place of choice whenever we visit and have stayed there for a week's time for going on a decade. As always, the motel was comfortable and clean, the staff friendly and accommodating, the restaurant delightful with good service, prices, and food. If you are looking for a charming, centrally located, locally owned motel, Fountain Park Motel is the place. Every time we leave I miss it.

We drove a long way (6 hours) from St. Cloud, MN to visit family and explore Sheboygan for the weekend. When we got there, the receptionist was a lady with glasses, and she was very hostile and unkind. (Racially motivated??) It was not off to a good start, and we began to feel like we made the wrong choice to stay here.

The motel room was outdated with a TV that played staticky cable with horrible quality. 2/4 of our room keys didn’t even work to open the door. The bathroom door didn’t close all the way, so we couldn’t even lock it. The water pressure in the shower was very light, and we showered with room temp - cold water because there was no hot water at all. (They give you 3 mini bottles of 3 in 1 which is shampoo, body wash, and conditioner in 1, and two mini bar soaps.) The towels in the bathroom had stains on them. At least the beds were comfortable.

$364 for two nights and one day in an unwelcoming motel with a small parking lot, small room, horrible bathroom, and terrible wifi internet connection and TV. (By the way, they charge extra for additional adults, and every guest must have their ID scanned at check in.) The guests in the room next to us were partying loudly, and when we called to make a noise complaint, the person on the phone was very dismissive and quickly hanged up on us.

We didn’t even want to try the on-site restaurant or get some free coffee after the negative experience of checking in and the fear of experiencing more discrimination. The stay was definitely not worth the money, and the next time we’re in town, we will not be coming back here. I’d only recommend this motel to white people who need a quick place to stay. If you’re any other race with more than 2 adults, you’ll have better luck spending money elsewhere with more amenities and a modernized room.

My family needed somewhere to go in between places. It was just me,my boyfriend and I have a three-year-old son. I rented a room for 4 days explaining the situation, however when I got there he immediately started complaining about the four bags of clothes and one bag of food items that I brought with us. I assured him it was no more than someone would have brought in a car, as a stroller can only hold about less then half a trunks worth of stuff. He asked me about visitors, something any other hotel has zero issues with. I told him the only other person that might be there for a couple hours was my son's babysitter. He again took major issue with this and issued me a refund due to his utter ignorance. I brought clothes. I have a child who needs to be watched. He tried justifying his behavior saying what other people have done in his hotels, but those events occured with people I had never even met, so I cannot be held liable for them. No policies were going to be broken. Maximum occupancy is 4, me and my boyfriend both work. At any given time there would only have been two people in the room, my son and whoever he was in the care of. This is quite literally blatant discrimination. I'm a 22 year old single mother trying to keep a roof over my toddlers head. I paid in advance for assurance we would have that roof, only to be told that because my toddler needs to have an adult with him, I was unwelcome. Disgusting. I told him I would be writing a review and he snarkily told me he would be replying. I hope you do sir, because this is not a good look for you or your company.

Was in town to go to a Packers game and our usual hotel was closed and we had a last-minute switch and these folks were very accommodating. Travelling to Green Bay on a packer weekend I knew better than to think we’d find anything reasonable there so we stopped about an hour south in Sheboygan. Although I grew up in GB I had never been to Sheboygan. What a nice little town! Motel, though a bit dated decor, was nonetheless very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Our king bed room was larger than average with a small sofa and a chair besides the usual desk and luggage area. Great location in the downtown area. Easily walkable to several eateries and pubs, including a family restaurant on site that serves 6 am to 4pm. Great breakfasts .. in fact it quickly filled up with locals. These had to be the friendliest, nicest servers I’ve ever seen all in one place. Hotel staff ditto. Motel is right across the street from a nice little park that hosts farmers market on tues and sat. Easy walk to several churches and a 10-15 min walk to Lake Michigan and a lakeside walk including beaches and a marina. We liked it so much we stopped again on our way out of town.

We had a great stay here! It's not a fancy Motel but had everything we needed and was squeaky clean! Located right downtown Sheboygan in walking distance to all that it has to offer! I have a disability so I was checking to see if they had air, and the lady said “it’s common sense” then transfers me to a man that hung up on me 3 times and would not give me his name after being so rude and said “I don’t care about your disability I don’t have time for all your questions.” When I simply asked what the rates were if I were to stay 3 nights. The Fountain Park Motel is ok if you are only staying one night. My towel bar in the bathroom broke when I tried to use it. The shower head isn't that great and the middle table between both double beds needs an electrical outlet. The restaurant is good and if it's after 4 pm then go to Rupps which is around the corner. Also, there were ashtrays outside of rooms and so it's not really a non smoking hotel in reality. I think the price was too much at $100 a night when it was $61.00 on a travel site.

We recently returned from our ninth annual weeklong visit with family and friends in Sheboygan and stay at Fountain Park Motel. As always, the room was comfortable and attractive. The motel is locally owned, shows pride of ownership, and is centrally located across the street from a park, around the corner from downtown, and a few blocks from Lake Michigan.A family restaurant is on site. We always look forward to our trip to Sheboygan and as part of it our days and nights at Fountain Park Motel. And who knows, maybe Tiger Woods will stay there for the 2020 Ryder Cup.

Very large rooms with an okay diner attached (meal vouchers with room). Staff wasn't very helpful, especially at night. Prices are best in the area, especially with it being in downtown Sheboygan.

Registered in at 3am lady at front desk very rude called cops on us cause we parked in the back since no parking was available in front area after she said we could,me and my wife were discussing politics mind you in the privacy of our VAN!!!! She made a whole false report stating we also had a child in our van which we had left in the room mind u he is 20yrs old!!!!!This whole situation is SaD!!!!So this morning went into make a report and the lady in the front desk says that’s my mother I don’t care who she is and I’m still sitting out here waiting to get results..Enough is Enough!!!!!!!Funny she also stated we drove 14 hrs to come make problems here,oh yes since we called the cops RiGht still not sorry they way we look was not to their standers!!!!!!Facts discrimination is Real!!!!!!!!!!!

I came to this motel just because I thought it would be simple and easy to get to and from work. But when I woke up in the morning to pay for another day, the unbelievable happened not only did the first shift front desk clerk yell at me to come to the front desk but he also came to my door pointing his finger in my face and screaming at me. I closed the door and he continued to yell for me to check out. And so I did. I was fortunate enough to get a full refund. But that was not a good experience.

My parents used their CC to pay for a room and it was charged nearly 200 extra dollars because the motel accusing us of stealing sheets and pillowcases, which we did not do. Will NOT be going back. I suggest others stay clear of this place, they'll only take additional money from your card and accuse you of stealing.
