Went a little after 9 and they were closed. I called ahead and they said they were open. The restaurant staff would not talk to us. Looked at us multiplet times and literally walked away from us. Kind gas station staff went to restaurant to help us determine that they chose to close when they felt like it, not when they were supposed to.

First got a shower, there was hair from at least the last 5 people from various lengths and sizes. Somewhat disgusted, I decided to get my first hot meal in 4 days, I've been trucking hard!

I took a seat at the counter there was 3 others already seated. 2 in separate booths, and one more at the counter when you first walk in. Server was Somewhat busy with the 3 others. Back and forth, not a smile, not a welcome, not even a "I'll be right with you!" ... 2 other gentlemen came in and sat down. Must be regulars, they got menus promptly. Two more individuals walked in and sat at tables. Another waitress showed up and started talking to them. When the waitress walked past me yet again without even acknowledging I existed, I got up and left. I don't understand what went wrong in this world, but THIS is part of the reason the trucking industry has truly went to crap! This exact place 20 years ago you would of had water or a cup of coffee in front of you before you sat down. I get it, its a new era. Full of fast food and ZERO respect for one-another.

Everyone is entitled to have a bad day. I'm not sure what's going on in this establishment, but I'll give the corporate a hint! I've been all over this country the last 4 months. From San Diego to just West of Boston. From Portland to Miami and all over in-between. PAY FOR GOOD HELP! PLEASE! I wish I had a YouTube video to show what every truckstop was like 20 years ago! It didn't matter if it was noon or midnight, places like this needed 3 cooks to keep up with the waitresses! I bet those ladies made $200 in tips each shift! They treated each customer like they were family! This parking lot is huge, and I doubt 75% of the drivers dont even bother going inside! Why? Because all of them have had service like I just got! You couldn't pay me to give it a try next time! I'll take my money elsewhere next time and not bother with disappointment again! Feel free to read my other reviews. As we waited for our food another couple a got up and said they refused to watch everyone else get their food before them when they had arrived before they paid their tab and left then the employees started talking bad about the poor people that were just trying to get the food they had waited so long for one of the girls didnt stop making smart remarks even the cook came out and had something to say all this while they had a new employee 1st day on the job. My fish tasted like it had been fried more than once it was super hard no taste to any of it. It was all around a bad experience. Hope yours is better

I asked the waitress to come back in two minutes, but instead she disappeared for a very long time. When she finally came back, she was more focused on her own tasks than on me, completely ignoring my table. It was very unprofessional and disrespectful. The waitress was a white woman, older, clearly over 50, heavyset - I don’t know her name, but this description should be enough for management to identify her. Because of her lack of attention, I walked out without ordering.

Food was all overcooked or undercooked. All of the eggs were undercooked on four of the meals. We waited a long time for our food and didn’t even get everything. Our server with the glasses didn’t check in with us once and we had to wait over twenty minutes after we were done with our food to get our check. The other serving who was actually working had to find our server to get us our check. Everyone felt sick as soon as we were done eating.

Service is good, but tell me how when the waitress looses the money my boyfriend and I paid the waitress Ashley why are they complaining to my hard working boyfriend that he never paied at all and that it was 100% discount? It started off fine when we walked in. Yes it was close to close but my boyfriend and his breaks at work are determined on if they are dead at the shop. They were incredible and nice to us both regardless of how late we walked in. Food was warm and delicious! When it came time to pay she gave my boyfriend the receipt which he paied with $40 CASH. The waitress started doing stuff and got slightly distracted and forgot about our payment we had on the receipt, but came up once she saw us still and said, “oh I completely forgot to grab this. I’ll be right back with your change. I’m so sorry.” We said it was not a problem at all. She gave us our change and my boyfriend and I got up to leave. Everything was paied for. Today happens where my boyfriend gets told that he never paid? Like if you guys lost the money that’s on you. Not very professional of you to blame it on your customers for something you as a worker lost. We deserve an apology. No free meal. No discount. An actual APOLOGY. keep your customers out of YOUR drama. I said what I said. Do better.

I waited 20 minutes before someone came and asked if I wanted anything after 1 waitress seen me sitting and walked by me several different times and even helped 2 other couples that came in after I did, the other waitress helped 2 different people that again came in after I did, before someone finally asked if I had been helped. I didn’t want anything having been looked over several times during the 20 minutes that I waited patiently. I hope the manager goes back and watches the camera footage to see what happened. Some people need more training and awareness of the customers that come in especially since Iron Skillet wants the customer to sit anywhere upon arrival. I will not spend money in a place that over looks me like this. What would have happened if I had already ate and just over looked the bill, I bet that there would be a problem. I actually like to eat at Iron Skillet when I do get a chance but it will not ever be here at this location.

This Restaurant has some bad rep because of one of the past cooks, that only cook was the one who didn’t do his job correctly or with much effort, but now I believe they got rid of the guy because I’m a pretty regular diner at this place and I haven’t seen the guy in close to a month, I know the workers here and I will tell you, this restaurant has good days and some bad days, not often, just like any other restaurant really. But I will tell you this, recently I’ve been getting only chicken dishes, and I’ve had no sickness, in fact the chicken has always been perfectly cooked and even juicy and tender! Simply the bad reviews only got unlucky unfortunately. But I will give you this information, as a little cheat code. If you see the head chef, he’s a decently sized man who is middle aged and bald, a bit rough looking, his name is Scott. He’s an incredible chef and does his job perfectly, if you see the man when you come here, I can tell you with absolute certainty that you are safe to get ANYTHING on the menu, and it will be amazing!

Listed As a buffet and there isn't one the anymore completely gone. We went to Portage for lunch at Pizza Ranch instead. we won't be back to Iron Skillet. UPDATE: We went back what a mistake service was slow waitress was nowhere to be found sat for 10 min. Before she showed up, the cook was wandering around the dining area, so I asked if they were open, and he said yes, we've been open for hours and then walked away. Never again this, I promise. The owner only responds to good reviews, not to the dissatisfied ones like they should those are the ones that won't come back because of non resolved problems.

It's all about the times they're open for me. My God there's supposed to be a truck stop. Now after covid, they close at 9:00 every night. What kind of truck stop closest at 9:00. We used to like to go here later at night specifically because they were still open. After spending a day in the dells. But now that they close so early, we very rarely go there anymore. Open the restaurant up 24 hours a day again. It's a truck stop. Truck stops don't close at 9:00.

It was pretty empty when I was there, which is good (hence 5-star rating for "atmosphere"); the service was lacking, especially when I asked how she was doing, she responded, "How good can I be, I'm here!" She could be assigned to the parking lot on a hot summer day (she probably doesn't need to pack a lunch working the lot. I cut her some slack because the food was VERY horrible. I'd have a bad attitude if I had to bring those plates to hungry people.

Don't order eggs "sunny side up." They are cooked on bottom and completely raw on top, as in, totally clear. Waitresses will tell you "that's how they come." Cook needs additional training.

Service was great... except for the hour long wait for the food, which showed up piping hot, except for the mixed vegetables, which showed up halfway through the meal. You'll need GPS to find it, but it's a regular stop for me when traveling to the Dells.

The server was friendly, prompt, and checked on us periodically. She would look at the empty creamers on the table but didn't clear them. Trivial, in my opinion. She was wonderful.

I had steak, eggs, hash browns with onion&real cheddar on top.. Food was hot and cooked to order. Delicious, fairly thick (1"?), tender, steak, that was not marbled with fat or riddled with gristle. Hash browns were crispy and the onions perfect inside.I opted out of getting the pancakes or toast that came with the meal.

They may have been short-staffed in the kitchen that day -- It took longer than expected for the amount of customers.

Atmosphere? As far as truck stops are concerned, it was clean and has a functionally warm feeling inside, with smallish window views of the interstate and parking lot.
