We have been enjoying Island View since Erin and Alex bought the resort and love the little slice of old world lake resorting. Originally came by snowmobile but now more by UTV. We bring our dog now dogs and always have great pub food and fun atmosphere. They make everyone feel welcome and entertainment is in the menu decor and people. Love hearing of their travels from the past and plans for the future. If you are there on a Saturday ask for a perch fish sandwich with cheese it's not on the menu but mm mm good!

Very cool out of the way place. Has a very nice screened-in porch. On that day we were there, it was quite hot in the bar! It was very cool out on the screened in porch, where you had dining tables also. We had the all you could eat fish fry. Everything was very good! And reasonable.

I took my boat from way down river and stumbled across this joint. Unfortunately they weren’t open as I was going by pretty early, but there were two people cleaning one of the units and I chatted with them. Super nice and offered me a pile of worms for free. I will be back later in the day next time to spend some money, and we will be rending a cabin from them as well. The place is your perfect up north hang and away from any Illinois people. Beautiful.

The nostalgia of camping in northern Wisconsin is alive and well at Island View. From the quaint rustic cabins, sweeping sunrises, the buzz of nature every morning, this place is breathtaking. Anyone who’s traveled and vacationed in beautiful nature scapes, knows how difficult it can be to go out to eat for a decent meal or a properly crafted drink. Not at Island View. They have a fantastic family friendly bar and restaurant right on site! I had the absolute best damn Old Fashioned poured at Island View and amazing pickle chips! The burger was phenomenal and filling. I quickly realized why the place was such a busy local watering hole and busy for the whole week I was there. I absolutely recommend staying and eating at IVL for your next vacation!

The food is very good and reasonably priced. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. The cabins are well kept and nicely furnished. Fishing's great too. I always look forward to my yearly trip with my buds around Labor Day weekend.

What a gem of a place off the beaten trail. We came here with friends after hearing others rave about their time spent here. It was a Tuesday so they were only serving Tacos on the evening. There was only two choices to be made, hard shell or soft. They were small but delivered 3 at a time and were both delicious and all you can eat. The place was packed to the brim for taco and trivia night but we were still taken care of in a timely manner. We spent a few hours here and enjoyed the food and their interesting take on trivia. The announcer had a unique personality and was quick with a joke when walking around to hand out the papers for the game. We all had a great time here and will definitely return when the opportunity arises.

Just like anyone knows a first time staying at a new place is a gamble, but not here. Everything on the website is true to how it is. Erin was very helpful with any questions. She was quick to respond and has a great sense of humor. If you're looking for a laid back experience this is definitely it. Food at the bar at the resort is really good too. Definitely recommend the fish fry buffet on Fridays.

Alex and Erin run an amazing little slice of heaven on Fisher Lake. If you haven't stopped in for their Bingo nights or Fish Fry you're really missing out on something special! They are constantly improving their offerings and selections to mix things up and keep the experience fresh and original.

Whether visiting in the summer pulling up on a pontoon or in the winter on our sleds, we always find time to stop in for a good time! A MUST if you are in the area, even if you aren't it's worth the drive out!

Have loved this little spot since the first time we stopped. If you love old school, lake resorts this is where you need to go. I've only been in the winter months but we've anyways had good food and good service. If you are looking for fancy, go somewhere else. This is a small family owned business with all the bumps and bruises that come along with buying a hundred year old resort.

A remote and yet accessable getaway. This long established resort just North and a pinch East of Mercer, WI., this homey and quaint lodging, bar and eatery facility is worth seeking out to enjoy. Island View Lodge is one of the few places that take you back in time in a great way! Your hosts, Alex and Erin, are super friendly and helpful, and everyone there is either an old or new friend. Probably the best place to "Get away from it all." There are mosquitoes here, which nobody has control over, so bring bug spray, and don't complain. Complain that you only booked one week instead of two!

This is hands down our favorite destination bar in the area. At first glance you might not see the attraction, but the minute you step into the place and meet Alex and Erin, the owners, you will be hooked. We're not bar people, but we intentionally go out to Island View as much as we can throughout the year to support them and their business. They are always trying new things and making it fun, which is the biggest draw for us. So, if you're in the area, or even if you're not, you should definitely make a trip out there. You won't be disappointed.

Great place to stop while on the trails winter or summer. I have been coming to Mercer for over 20 years and love it. We saw the new snowmobile signs on the trail shaped like a Palm tree and had to stop. The food and service was great. Keep up the outstanding work and never give up. :)

Make sure you bring cash to this restaurant.They only accept cash and checks.We ate there several times and paid with a credit card yet today the waitress refused to take our credit card.This policy is not posted on their menu or any where I could see.If their policy has changed the owner should post the policy in plain sight or on the menu.As I was leaving another customer had stated they ate there three weeks ago and paid with a credit card.I left the restaurant bewildered.

John and Judy are wonderful people. The resort is remote but town only 15 minutes away. The Lodge has bar/restraunt and game room with pool table, jukebox and couple video games. There is Monday night potluck to meet everyone, Tuesday morning fishing contest and Friday night Fish Fry. My entire family been going there over 30 years.
