We had the Beef Enchilada and the Butter Chicken Bowl — hands down, both were really, really good!

However, the service from our server, Grace, could have been better. She seemed more focused on chatting with a coworker than checking in on our table. We ran out of drinks, and she didn’t seem to notice. Eventually, we decided to close our check and move to the bar.

The very tall bartender completely turned our experience around — he was attentive, engaging, and made excellent drink recommendations. We left happy thanks to his great service.

Hopefully, the owner or manager sees this feedback for coaching purposes, as the food and bar experience were fantastic overall.

We were a bit skeptical about the menu after looking at it online, but the food is absolutely incredible.

We got the naan bread beef barria tacos and the mild goat curry with garlic butter naan bread. Both dishes were warm, filling, and incredible delicious with awesome complex flavors. We are so happy we have this place a try and can’t wait to come back and try something else.

The food was incredible! It was so hard to choose as everything sounded delicious. I ended up choosing the chicken curry with garlic naan as I’ve been looking for a good curry dish. Every bite was full of amazing flavor. It was exactly what I was looking for and made me and my belly happy. :) They also have a great beverage selection. I went here last night for the first time and I was by myself and absolutely loved it! I had the Falafel wrap and fries and the flavor in the wrap was so good!! I am picky about my fries and these were yummy! There are so many things on the menu that I want to try that I will definitely go back. I am hoping to get my husband here as it would be a very nice place for a date night. The only downside was my server. I don't know if it was because I was by myself, but she wasn't the friendliest or the fastest for service.

This is a real great place. We got a postcard in the mail said hey come on down to the IVR bar so we did.

On Tuesdays they have a hidden special where if you buy one of their signature cocktails you get two tacos for 7 bucks.

Quite a deal I suggest anybody that lives by that place gets their butt over there and checks it out.

You'll be glad you did I promise.

Went back a second time and ate at the bar. I had the chicken with yogurt sauce.

This was the best chicken I have ever had in my life and one of the top 10 things I have ever eaten in my life.

UPDATE- I got a response from the restaurant, claims she tipped the plate onto the to go boxes for the fries to fall into the box, what they failed to mention is she put her hand on the wrap and put it in the box. Pretty sad they feel to argue with me via google instead of finding a way to contact me personally. Now I’ll never be back.

This was my second visit here and I was pretty disappointed. The food quality wasn’t as great as it was the first time. Our waitress was nice, but at the end when we needed a box, she broke a very important FDA code. The FDA prohibits bare hand contact with ready to eat food. She physically touched our food with her BARE hands. Did she wash her hands first? Doubt it. She brought out a tray and a tray stand, were those sanitized along with her hands being washed? Doubt it. She just took in someone’s dirty dishes and took care of someone’s bill. So that’s how many surfaces? When I tried to stop her, she just looked at me and I said, I probably wouldn’t actually touch someone’s food with your bare hands. She tells me it’s process. Process? Disgusting. Feel free to use our forks, so you’re not actually touching our food. I don’t mind them putting the food in the container to go, but you should NOT be touching food with your bare hands, that’s an FDA violation. I will not be rushing back to this restaurant.

This place is phenomenal. The butter chicken pizza on naan crust is crazy good and their bowls are delicious. Dont be intimidated by their spice levels because they will let you know when ordering. The medium has a gentle heat and the hot/spicy has a good kick. We did not care for the fusion of Mexican and Indian together in the same dishes, but enjoy both separately. Felt like they needed to pick a lane.
Also, felt that some of it was attempted to be too Americanized.

My wife and I were in the area visiting family (she's originally from Chilton, WI), and I was thrilled to find a restaurant offering Indian/Mexican fusion dishes (amongst other cuisines!) The meal itself was nothing short of fantastic, with the coconut korma enchiladas noteworthy standouts. This review would be remiss if we didn't mention the outstanding attention paid to the myriad of dietary restrictions/intolerances our table of 7 presented, all of which were handled with aplomb. Chicken tikka masala is one of our favorite meals, so we were excited to try a new place in the area that serves it. However, the chicken tikka masala hardly had any flavor or spice. We ordered a medium spice level (which is typically our preference) and it was extremely mild.

The dish was $21, so we were expecting quality for the higher price you’re paying (I’ve never seen chicken tikka masala in the Fox Valley area for more than $18).

The Samosa’s didn’t have much filling on the inside (had a lot of empty space inside like it wasn’t filled all the way) and was also lacking flavor. Also, the outside pastry part had a super strong taste of fryer oil.

Our experience wasn’t completely disappointing, the workers were very friendly and it’s a very well decorated, clean, building with nice outdoor seating. They have a lot of interesting and unique fusion menu items.

We had such a great experience at IVR Bar! The food was absolutely delicious—our main entrées were the Tikka Masala and Curry, both rich in flavor and perfectly cooked. For dessert, we tried the tiramisu and gulab jamun, which were both outstanding and a perfect end to the meal.

We were lucky enough to be served by the owner, Gary, who was incredibly kind, welcoming, and clearly passionate about his restaurant and the food he serves. Pro: Beautiful restaurants, they have great drinks and alcohol selection, Bartender was very good and same for the servers. I also really like the Mexican Indian fusion concept.

Con: We had 6 ppl, and 2 of our entries arrived at the table around 10 minutes before the rest of the table. Three of us ordered the Tikka Masala (extra mild w/lamb, medium w/goat, and spicy w/goat). The extra mild lamb had the same heat level as the medium. The person ordering it expressed they wanted a negativeheat level. If it couldn't be done, they would have ordered something else. The medium goat most likely came with lamb instead (had no bones). The spicy goat basically was all bones. I dont have a problem with bones, but it had 4 large bones. There was almost nothing on the bones to pick off, which made it more annoying they were served. On top of that, you dont get more added cause of the bones. I ended up maybe two bites of meat that were substantial enough that you could taste it. Also, how are you expected to pick meat off the bones in spicy, saucy dish at an upscale restaurant? It just doesn't seem like a great idea to chew on the bones with your fingers. I also thought the Masala was missing cream. My understanding is it's an orange colored curry cause of the cream added at the end. This had more of a tomato sauce profile, but that just might be their style. Im not an expert on that.

All that said, I know the restaurant is new and going through some growing pains. Cause of that, I was a little lenient on the score. I will probably be back to give it one more try. Hopefully, it was just an off night.

Edit: Had to lower the review. Found out we were charged an automatic gratuity of 20% on a group of 6. Ends up, our party has now way over-tipped. No clear warning or heads up.
