I had a decent experience but it’s sad that a business that was as busy as it was is passing on the credit card fees to its customers. There was no posted notice or no notation on the menu, credit card fees are a part of business. Since this establishment doesn’t understand that, I’ll find one that does.

We love Izzy Hops! We used to come extremely regularly, but it’s been a while.

Came for the bucks game, and atmosphere was great, as usual.

Where it went wrong?

One server, who was also the bartender (working his tail off, I will say) on a Friday night.

Where else? We used to RAVE about the food, we were more than disappointed. The food was cold and extremely underwhelming. AND I didn’t realize that fries (which were God awful) were not included and $3.25 each. That part I’ll take responsibility for.

Lastly? There were a few deals because of the game, we were charged full price. Bartender said lakefront beers didn’t count as “local”… not sure what else was more local than that.

Not sure we’ll be back now.

The food was beyond horrible. I'll give it 1out of 10.. PIZZA..was cooked to fast, so the dough was still gummy..CHEESE CURDS...taste burnt..ALL THE DRINKS.... (liquor, lemonade, sprite) was watered down like they do in the comedy movies... And I think that I might be the first African American to spit out chicken after eating maybe 2 pieces...Now the service and atmosphere ill give a 10

I had an absolutely fantastic late brunch at this charming restaurant right in the middle of the day. The prices were quite reasonable, and their menu, featuring super fresh and simple brunch items, is available all day. The mimosas were delightful and plentiful enough for three people to savor. As for the brunch burger, it was expertly grilled and cooked to perfection. On top of that, the wait staff were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive. Plus they are dog-friendly for certain sizes and breeds.

While searching for a late-night dining spot close to home, we stumbled upon this establishment with over four stars, prompting us to give it a shot. Our order consisted of a burger and some cheese curds. Unfortunately, the cheese curds smelled and tasted of old cooking oil which translated into an unpleasant flavor. Despite the menu indicating marinara sauce as an accompaniment, none was provided. Upon requesting it, I was informed that it had been put away for the night! It almost felt like the condiments were under lock and key with a time-delay mechanism. On a brighter note, my wife did enjoy her burger.

A really broad selection of taps, we're talking Iceland to New York, Maryland to California, and beyond. Food isn't bad either. Staff is local and friendly, would recommend beer afficionados check it out with an open mind on finding one or two they haven't tried before! Bartender was a gem. Told him I didn't like bourbon but I heard this was a bourbon bar. I don't like bourbon, so I challenged him to make me something that I'd like. He mixed me a bourbon sangria, testing the flavor all along the way, and hands over this amazing drink. Everyone at the table took a try because I like it so much. Very fun time and thanks to the bartender with those amazing eyes who indulged me that day. You are amazing.

Terrible customers! Went here for a meeting. The food eats pretty good and the service from the staff is mostly great. I sat at the bar because the tables were taken and a fat guy sat next to me. He kept using his phone while wearing wired earbuds and breathing extremely heavily. He had a foul odour and and kept muttering “no child” while scowling at his phone. I caught a glimpse of his screen and he was looking at a photo of a woman’s cleavage. Then he started muttering something about stalkers. This made me very uncomfortable. In my opinion the staff should have picked up on this behaviour and moved him on from the establishment or offered me a different seat. I won’t be going back.

A fun place to eat and socialize. They have a lot of different weekly specials, like $9 pizzas on Monday, Tuesday Triva, and Thursday Karaoke (and that's only the ones I remember). Most days they have the front wall open, and you can sit outside. Super easy to order food to your table when you go up to the bar. The staff are nice, and their food is good. The food is definitely not your traditional American style, so not everything may be your style. Personally, I didn't like the fried chicken. But many things are great imo! I recommend the meatball sub. Super nice. I also had their Italian sub on another visit. For their appetizers, the curds are ok, absolutely love the ranch with them though. And the pretzel is great. They say 13 inches, but I think that's a large under estimate lol. It took up the whole table I think. Overall, a really cool place.

My family and I recently found Izzy hops after a mix up of mother day plans. Our first visit was mother's day brunch. We found parking right outside and tables were open inside to sit right away. Service was quick and food was delicious. Brunch mimosas are a great deal, you just need to tell them how many you plan to consume at first order, starting at $10 for 1 bottle.
We've since gone 2 other times in the last month and each visit has been great. Even enjoyed bingo on Wednesday from 7-9pm. Small cozy spot to chill

Izzy Hops is my favorite spot in Milwaukee. Thomas used to be my favorite bartender, but Paul has quickly taken his spot and made me forget that Thomas ever existed. The sour beer selection is unmatched. I also love Nadia and Ric. I have been coming here for several years. I'm moving to Minneapolis and going to miss this place more than my parents. Bingo on Wednesdays, pizza deal on Mondays, the best beer list in the greater Milwaukee area - you really can't go wrong. Perfect for bigger groups and a cozy night at the bar. I truly love this place! There's nothing else like it in Milwaukee. They have the friendliest staff and best bar food. Truly life-changing. Staff was very nice and quick. The big pretzel was good and my friends enjoyed their wraps. Only thing that was a bit of a bummer was the Mac n cheese, it was explained as a 4 cheese mac n cheese in a bechemal with rigatoni pasta. I'm pretty sure the sauce was the same that came with the pretzel, it seemed very processed and came with shell noodles. The chicken on it tasted like oregano, it was a bit odd. Other that that it was a nice experience. Good drinks, good music, nice staff.

If I could give 0 stars I would. It was a waste of $40. We started off with bloodys that were so spicy I’ve never had a bloody be that awful. But fine, those are bound to be hit or miss, hopefully our food would be better. Sadly that was not the case. I ordered the Nutella pancakes, and for $12 I was brought two paper thin pancakes that weren’t even fully cooked. Each bite fell apart and it felt like I was drinking the pancake batter. Other person got biscuits and gravy, which the biscuit was hard as a rock. We will NOT be back.

I come here all the time. Happy hour gives 4$ deals on full pours of a wide selection of well-selected midwest craft beers, they have beers for everyone (in a very well organized menu). I tried brunch here recently and I got the biscuits and gravy and my partner got the brunch burger. She loved the burger! It came with smashed garlic parmesan fingerlings which were awesome. My biscuits and gravy were incredible. The biscuits were like these crumble in your mouth honey biscuits and the eggs were cooked perfectly to blend in with the gravy. And btw the mimosas were $12 for a bottle, total steal.

Had visited Izzy Hops 2/3 times before and to be honest, I wasn't all that impressed. Especially with the food. I give this a 5 now because based on my last visit, and the food experience overall - it was above and beyond what I was expecting. I try to make it here once a quarter since I live in the neighborhood and want to see it succeed but now that frequency will increase given my last experience. The atmosphere of this bar is lovely, especially in the summer when the garage door front is open as Lake Michigan's breeze flows through it. Sometimes, the patrons of this bar are too loud. I am so invested in this place that my budget plan includes Izzy Hops as it’s own category. Our server Sarah was awesome, if I were to pass out on the floor here I am confident that she would fetch me a blanket and pillow while the bartender Thomas comforts me emotionally with his beard. We hosted a work event at Izzy Hops and had an excellent experience! We were able to reserve the back room for a group of about 15 people, and Kelly the manager was extremely helpful for us via email prior to the event, and the night of the event!
