Had the weirdest BLT I have ever had in my life there. It was on a very thick bun that was burnt in places.I pretty much ate the bacon and that was it. No way you could get your mouth around it to take a bite even with cutting it.

A nice little supper club tucked away on a residential side street. Wasn’t overly busy for a Friday night. The waitress was nice, and checked in frequently. Sadly my meal was lackluster. Tasted like microwaved beef tips and was really greasy. The prices were nice, which was why we chose that one over the other 2 in the area.

I’ve always had great dinners at Jeff’s, but tonight things were missing. They served us dinner rolls which were warm and delicious. I ordered a N/A beer that they didn’t have, but my old-fashioned drink hit the spot. I’m not a fan of French fries, so I asked for potato salad that they don’t have. I then ordered potato pancakes which were very good. Other places I have had potato pancakes and they are served with syrup or applesauce. Wasn’t offered either and didn’t ask for them. Another member of our group was told that they were out of ranch dressing. We also ordered coleslaw and were not served any because they were all out. Run to Pick and Save down the road and buy some! The rest of the meal was good.

We ate at Jeff’s for Restaurant Week and it was superb. The place was very crowded and we had to wait about 15 minutes for a table even with a reservation but it was worth it. The meals was terrific and the overworked waitress was amazing and friendly. I learned that they are under new management and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great meal at a very reasonable price. I had the Duroc Porterhouse pork chop and it was delicious. My wife had the salmon on a bed of risotto and she couldn’t say enough good things about it. The appetizers and desserts were also excellent.

Went for dinner wanted to stay local and support small business and was extremely disappointed. The liver was black burned and like a hockey puck. Wasn't what I wanted to order but out of alot of other options. Out of baked potatoes.no french dressing and no olives for drinks. Food use to be amazing really has gone down. And we said something about not being able to eat the food due to it being burned and all she did was give us a drink chip, never offered to remake it.

What can I say? The food was amazing, the prices didn't hurt my feelings, and the atmosphere was fantastic. My wife and I met a friend for dinner tonight. Lucky for us we ended up sitting at the bar next to the owners. I wanted chicken strips and they were out, NBD. Ordered the smoked chicken bacon ranch wrap(very tasty) and while we were waiting, unknown to us, the owner snuck away and came back with a huge platter of homemade chicken tenders. Best I've ever had! Talk about service!! Duck bacon wontons, also a favorite!

TLDR: Food awesome, prices great, owners and staff fantastic. They want you to be happy and to leave wanting to return.

Fish was soggy portions smaller. This used to be our go to place fir fish fry but last time we didn't get our sides. This time fish breading was soggy, perch tasted very, very fishy(not like fresh caught). Chowder was just a thick sauce with not much else. For 50 bucks not counting tip there are much better options.

This wasn't my first visit here but Google asked me to do a review so I will. I loved the atmosphere and the bartenders. They made a decent old fashioned and were fun to talk to. The Cajun Haddock Oscar was one of the best I've ever had. The French onion soup was great. The seasonal vegetables were straight from the freezer and straight from the microwave though. My wife's beef tips and mashed potatoes were less than desirable. Tasted like gravy from a jar and instant potatoes. They weren't awful but I expected better. Still overall had a good experience and will return.

This is a great old supper club... It's been around the block per se. The entrance and the address have changed from one side of the building to the other. From my understanding the original building was circa 1891 and was the home of Joseph Fenzl where he sold groceries and ran a saloon. So Jeff's on Rugby has been slinging drinks for awhile. The food is normal Supper Club fair with the very ample portions! The drinks and food are well priced. The Chicken Alfredo is spectacular!

When we sat down we were served warm rolls. The wine & Whiskey selection is minimal. Our server was wonderful and even immediately adjusted the heat when she noticed the draft and that we were cold. My husband had the New York strip special, the steak was done to perfection and tasted delicious! He asked for sauteed onions on top and got two or three onion rings but that was okay. The vegetable medley was a little lackluster as it consisted of a California blend where the broccoli was mostly stalk, but overall his meal was a do-over! I ordered the salmon stuffed with crab and asparagus in a yellow hollandaise-type sauce. Stuffed Salmon Oscar? It was very good if you like crab. My meal came with a salad of very nice greens, perhaps arugula and other dark leafy greens and I believe they have several homemade dressings to offer. We had chocolate cheesecake for dessert. Definitely try it! The desert was excellent!
Overall if you like Wisconsin supper clubs, this one has a really good menu, knows how to make a steak, has wonderful kind service, and a decent atmosphere. You won't find fancy wines or tablecloths here, But you'll get a good meal at a fair price. ($25/plate)

Really good food at a fair price. The only reason it is a 4, is because I called earlier in the day and was told we would be seated at 5pm with a party of 6 (including 3 young kids. When I got there at 4:45pm, we were told it would be a 45 minute wait, which actually took an hour. It was definitely busy, but we would have gone elsewhere if we knew we had to wait as we were in a hurry to get the Herd game.

Lake perch are tricky to get done just right. Sorry to say that Jeff's missed the mark. The perch tasted fishy and I found a few bones. They fall into the category of many, short staffed. We sat 20 minutes before being asked for a drink order. Our food order took another 10 minutes to give to the server. Food was wonderful as always. Tables were quite cozy. We went on Friday about 5pm. Be sure you like the people you are eating with because there is plenty of conversation time. Jeff's On Rugby is a place we've been coming for almost 15 years now when we visit Oshkosh.
Food choices are plentiful. There's salads and burgers and steak and chicken and fish. Good for kids and adults.
They take reservations if you have a larger party, and have enough room to handle groups if needed. The staff has always been very nice and helpful.
From the outside it looks like another hole in the wall bar, and the inside isn't going to win any awards, but that's not saying it's unclean at all. There's a comfortableness that a neighborhood restaurant and bar has. When you are inside and looking around it becomes obvious that the majority are regulars and friends. They keep returning for some reason, and I think the reason is the same as why if you are in the area you should visit also.

The service was spectacular and so very friendly. I had the Bistro burger,med rare. It was overdone, burger, mushrooms, and the Asiago was nonextistant.
