Absolutely fabulous experience, Donata is fantastic! She interacts so well with the costumers, and is kind and attentive. I’ve been here a few Fridays after work and, even with a full bar, Donata is on top of all of it. The food was made quickly and was so delicious. I highly recommend this place. We attended the pull tab tournament. Our table (team of 4), were charged $200 ($50 each), but were only given 100 ($100 worth) of pull tabs. We literally donated $100. We should have received 200 pull tabs. Absolutely unfair.

The food was great but it took a long time to get 2 Taco Tuesday orders and 1 hamburger. One of the 3 guys at our table gave me his order BEFORE he left home off Monona Drive. I placed the order and he arrived and we still had to wait for our food. Not all the tables were full but the 1 cook could not keep up.

Stopped in on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised to see they offer a Fish Fry. Service was friendly and prompt. Beers were cold and the fish was hot! I ordered the fish and shrimp combo. Fish has a light coating (not battered). Nice chunks of cod that were seasoned well and flaky. I'd skip the shrimp next time as they were way overcooked. Nice thick tartar that added a tang to the fish and the coleslaw was your traditional creamy variety without onion (which is my fav!)

Service was quick. The fish fry was solid. And at 6pm on a Friday in Wisconsin, no wait for a Fish Fry is a 5 star experience for me. We will be back!

I stopped in for breakfast. My order was given to another customer who ordered after I did. When his order came out the staff had to put cheese on the hash browns and the place in the microwave. While that was going my eggs became ice cold. I was never asked if my food was OK. Poor service and even worse customer relations. I doubt I will ever eat breakfast there again.

I was told this place has the best burgers in the Madison area. I knew nothing could beat Dotty's, but I'm always open to trying new places.

It's a neighborhood bar. All of the patrons seemed to know each other and the bartenders. A bit of a hole, but not in a bad way, and clean. They only take cash. The prices are very reasonable.

In addition to burgers, I tried their special that day, which was prime rib. I was under the impression it was a prime rib sandwich, but it turned out to be a HUGE hulking cut of meat. It was a decent cut, with decent flavor, but not the best cooked, best seasoned, or most flavorful I've ever tried. I dont know if I'd get it again when I'm specifically craving prime rib.

The burgers are equally huge, hulking monsters. I got bacon cheeseburgers for both my wife and myself and I got a runny egg on mine. I enjoyed mine. It took me two days to eat, and I'm a big eater. Came with an absolute STACK of bacon on it. My wife was less impressed. She found it to be lacking in flavor, the burger and bacon to both be overcooked (we asked for pink in the middle for the burgers, and she is correct, they were not pink) and her patty was falling apart. I think it took her four days to eat it, she is not a big eater like me. They came with chips that, if memory serves, were homemade.

Definitely not the best burger (or prime rib) in the area unless you give extra points for size. But might be the most burger you can get for your money. And not bad by any means.
