I recently visited Johanna May’s Fine Teas and it was an absolute delight! As a longtime tea lover, I was so impressed by their selection of loose-leaf teas… each one was full of flavor and brewed to perfection. The atmosphere was cozy and elegant, and the attention to detail made the whole experience feel special. The food was just as amazing… fresh, beautifully presented, and paired perfectly with the tea. The staff were warm, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about what they do. This is a hidden gem of a tea room, and I’ll absolutely be going back!

We came with a large group for formal tea. They were very patient with us and the fact that most of the group was very late. The teas were plentiful, delicious, and loose leaf. They had little sachets to put the tea in. I do typically prefer a strainer, but the sachets allowed us to try each other's tea, which was nice. They give you plenty of leaves that you'll probably go home with some. The food was all delicious and presented so beautifully. The scones were to die for and served with what I'm pretty sure was real clotted cream. The scones were warm, cakey, and fresh. I'm so very pleased with my experience, and I cannot wait to go back.

Wonderful experience. I took my boyfriend here and he actually really enjoyed it. The tea list was extensive. Make a reservation here for sure as they are busy! Delicious menu. We would recommend this to anyone and will back again! Service was fantastic.

Can’t review! Looks great from outside. Their website says open! Sign on the door says closed for vacation. Drove 2 1/2 hours to celebrate my wife’s birthday. And they’re closed. We will call ahead next time .

I'd been here once before with a friend/mentor for a personal tea service (and lunch) and wanted to bring my mother-in-law. Of course, I happened to choose the day of their special Christmas sampling (announced only by email)! They had at least 15 different teas to try with different treats to cleanse the pallette in between. A FABULOUS selection of teas to choose from, and the quaint setting is the perfect match for an afternoon tea.

Was so surprised to find somewhere that does a formal tea meal in Wausau, WI of all places. Made a mother-daughter date of it. Three of us loved all the teas we tried. The food was all so beautiful and delicious. They have such a large selection of teas (and I am not really a tea drinker) but I LOVED the Raspberry Vanilla Black Tea. I can’t wait to go back to try more varieties!

A little off the beaten track but lovely when you get there. Very busy this Mother's Day weekend. Tables set with very pretty linens and china. Wide range of teas and scones to choose from. We chose from the lunch menu and the lunches were very tasty and attractively presented.
If authenticity is important: the clotted cream offered is certainly not clotted cream. I inquired what went into it.....cream cheese and icing sugar.....yikes. Clotted cream🇬🇧 should be..well....simply real dairy cream that clots when it's been put through a heat process. No ifs, ands or buts.
Apart from that ..highly recommend Johanna Mays.

Great little tea place! They have a great selection of loose leaf teas as well as a collection of tea accessories. You can drink tea and have a tea party (I have not done this) but it is recommended to call ahead if you plan on doing so. Love this place.

I went more for the company than for the place, but I enjoyed it. It had a wide array of teas (I'm not a tea-drinker, so I can't comment on the taste, but I saw several that I think my sister would enjoy), and also had coffee and hot chocolate (pictured below - my personal favorite!). There were also soups salads and sandwiches - the ham and cheese croissant sandwich was quite good.
