La comida tiene un sabor original de Puerto Rico, lo malo fue los precios que no coincidian con la carta, la pagina y el cobro en el recibo, pedi unas wings con mofongo y me cobraron 3 dolares de diferencia, al preguntar solo me dijeron, incrementamos los precios, pero en ningun lugar estaba especificado.

If you want a taste of Puerto Rico then just come here. Johannas Cafe is by far the best Puerto Rican restaurant here in Milwaukee, facts. I’m convinced a perfectionist works here because everything that comes out of that kitchen is made to perfection. With just one bite, it is going to remind you of all your puerto rican ancestors. My favorite is both their sandwich de pernil & hibarito de pernil con arroz blanco y habichuelas guisadas. & their piña colada 😋

Ordered a jibarito with pork and alcapuria, relleno de papa, also the besitos de coco,quesito, pastellio de guava.. everything was delicious like omg so good and filling and the customer service was amazing. The lady was so nice and understanding when I was asking questions. Definitely going again

I was too excited to eat and took the picture in the middle so i think that says it all. The food was absolutely delicious. I went for lunch; mofongo, rican rice, pernil it was Puerto rican food with flavor to take you back and feel like your at home. We also ordered some baked goods; some were a little too sweet for myself. But overall a good experience.

Estuve buscando un lugar en especifico que mi hija se sintiera como en P.R. con su desayuno y sorullos. Al entrar la joven con una sonrisa muy alegre y amable el cabello muy atento a otros clientes. Mi hija Génesis, quedó enamorada del lugar, me dijo mamá estar aquí es como sentirme serca de la playa, fui chef en P.R. y sólo se logra ese despertar en un ambiente relajado y con buen sazón. Ordered a Jibarito sandwich, eat about half of it, got a little taste of sourness, stopped eating it.
Within acouple hours I was laying in bed sick from that sandwich.

If you are in the area and have not tried Johanna's cafe....you are missing out! We had the Cubano and thin steak sandwiches (to die for) as well as the sweet fried plantains. I would plan to pickup and drive home or to a park because it gets busy and is a small place but I am so sad we live in Chicago because this would be our new spot if not! Everyone was super kind and I am still thinking about that Cubano 🥪.

I love this place the food here is so good! I’m expecting at this time and this food my baby loves I love it too! The white rice and beans are so good so flavorful and the Cuban sandwich’s are so good they are pretty big and I can finish a whole one by myself because it is so tasty. Our first time going here but definitely not our last.The vibe is so calm and relaxing.The staff is very respectful, welcoming and they treat you with such humility. The place is Clean and well organized. The food was great and very reasonably priced. Two dishes , drinks and 3 desserts for a grand total of $42 😀
Juan was very helpful guiding us through the menu. I’m Mexican so there’s a culinary difference between our cultures. So I was very appreciative of that . I highly recommend this place , I know it looks ghetto around this part of town but this place is an oasis, a canary in the coal mine

I usually get take-out. The jibarito is a sandwich made from fried plantains instead of bread. As a gluten-intolerant person, this is an excellent lunch choice for me. And it’s so delicious!! Make sure to save room for the cheesecake!

Unfortunately not my cup of tea, I went there for breakfast and because of the look I assumed that it wasn't a MacDonald's.
But by the service, they are working on becoming a corporation where all it matters is money.
The flan: It is supposed to taste like vanilla but it doesn't 😔
My eggs were cold and I don't understand the point of eating in, if I'm not getting service as such🤔
The 3 leches, and the Bavarian cone were ok.
Now about the place: There is only one bathroom, but it is clean and pretty, hence why I wanted to eat in.
The music is nice and the people are welcoming.
I wish they had vegetarian choices 😞

My first time coming here to the place to eat something small for lunch with my mom.
Everything tasted delicious, and they had a good customer service. Our server, she was very nice and very respectful. They greet you really fast and you can seat down anywhere you like, or stand up if you're taking it to go.

We took our apps to go, from the Alcapurias, some quesitos, coconut macaroons, one relleno de papa and some drinks to go, The Malta India and Cola Champagne. We also bought some pan Sobao, and a pastelillo de guayaba for my mom.
After I got home I tasted and ate my Cubano Sandwich, it was the best with a Uva Colony grape soda. So delicious,yum.

When I come again, I'll see if try some dinner and try other appetizers. Also try the piña coladas and passion fruit juice. Bring my other half of my family so they can try it too!!! Thank you very much .

Very delicious! We were looking for a nice home-like meal and this just hit the spot! We ordered mofongo,pernil, and a jibarito and honestly was one of the best Puerto Rican food I’ve ever had (and I’ve been to many) love this place super flavorful and we had to get dessert!
