This place was Excellent! Was everything I was looking for. The Food was very well done, very hearty portions and the service was great. Great patio dining with a smaller indoor area with great atmosphere. Food is delicious! Loved the brisket and bacon mac n cheese. It took a while to come out, which is fair because they had a sign posted indicating it would take 20-30 minutes. It took a while to get our order taken and our drinks refilled. That aspect could be more efficient to help the very busy staff. Lastly, no hairnets and I found two hairs in my food.

I truly wanted to love this place, I would say it's not bad. Service was sub-par you have to go up to the bar to order seemed more of a bar feel to the place. The food wasn't horrible, my issue was i got the meat lovers platter the ribs had good flavor but were cold but the pulled pork was steaming hot. The flavor of the brisket was good but seemed over cooked. Got all meats except the sausage and had to wait on that after the 30 minute wait on the other food. Again not a super big issue but for 45$ i anticipated everything would be equally heated. Employees seemed nice though!

Awesome surprise of a BBQ joint. Looks like an old auto shop and the layout is about on par with what you'll expect ha ha. Great place great food and great service. Went to Johnny B's for the first time tonight, won't go back again, went on a friday, and even though it wasnt very busy, it still felt very understaffed, ordered 2 drinks and dinner for 2 and recieved a buzzer. Nursing our drinks as we were operating on empty stomachs, 55 minutes later I went to check on the order and they never even put the order in! No apology or anything. What's more the person in line behind me had the exact same problem! Ended up leaving without getting food and leaving the majority of our drinks as we didn't want to get loaded on empty stomachs. They seriously need to get with the program over there, nothing but kids working there. The drinks were overpriced for what you get as well.

Let me first say for others that have I not been here before, this is not a typical BBQ stand where they have fresh meat cutting in front of you, don’t let those smokers out front get you like they did me

This place is a bar next to the water that has food with some bbq options that are crazy expensive for not fresh food

Stopped in after driving past this place for over a year and ordered a brisket and pulled pork platter to go

While waiting, I noticed them preparing other orders spooning out pulled pork from a water bath warmer and the brisket being scooped from a metal container sitting on the flattop

What killed it for me was watching a staff member open up an aluminum tray and picking up a “brick” of pulled pork and putting it into the warmer

I finally asked someone at the bar if the meat is fresh from today and cut in front of the customer, he replied with a no, “the meat was made a day before and warmed up throughout the day

For $25 bucks plus tax, bbq should be fresh, same day. Brisket coming out of the paper with a dark bark on n it and sliced in front of you with pulled port being no different or shredded each time it is opened from it’s wrapped blanket, not sitting in a juice bath

We have had the pleasure of visiting the quaint town of Pardeeville on numerous occasions, and we must say that it has become one of our favorite destinations. Our visits typically coincide with our annual shopping trips to the Amish community, but we now find ourselves making the 20-mile drive specifically to enjoy the town's charms. A half-day getaway is a perfect way to unwind, and we often begin our visit with lunch or dinner at Johnny's.

The location along the water offers stunning views, and the boat docks provide a unique aspect to the dining experience. Just across from Johnny's is a delightful ice cream shop, which we enjoy visiting after our post-meal stroll through the local park.

The main reason we return to Pardeeville, however, is the exceptional food at Johnny's. As southerners with a penchant for BBQ, we have developed a great appreciation for the pulled pork and brisket, which are served in generous portions. I recently had the "Beast" which is a huge burger composed of wagyu beef, elk, bison and wild boar. Un-Fricken_believable... The recent addition of a new IPA that is both mild and delicious has been a welcome addition to the menu. Although we haven't yet had the opportunity to experience Johnny's live music, we look forward to doing so in the future.

In conclusion, we would like to express our enthusiasm for the outstanding cuisine and charming atmosphere of Pardeeville.

We stopped in over the weekend for dinner. I had high hopes because if heard great things and the place itself is neat with awesome views and outdoor seating. They were busy and if I had to guess understaffed, we waited at the window to order some drinks and our food. The estimated wait time was listed as 25 min, no big deal like I said the views were great. At 45 min I figured I’d check in on our meals when we saw others around us getting theirs. Turns out our meal was never put through, to which I wanted to extend some grace given the way the world is these days and everyone being human. However when we did finally receive our platter it was not hot, in fact barely was warm and very greasy with the ribs being dry. We had onion rings and Mac and cheese as sides, they were good but again not very warm. Overall a bit of a frustrating experience for a platter that rang in just under $40. If we return it’d likely be just for drinks.

Have driven by this place several times, decided to stop and try it out with my son. We're both fans of smoked wings, so we decided to try them as an appetizer. Don't recommend them. I'm not sure how they were cooked, but they definitely weren't cooked on a smoker. The brisket was ok but super fatty and tasted more kije a chuck roast. He got smoked pork, and I tried the ribs. Came on a Friday night and not too many people there got our drink right away but 3 meals took about 30 mins with hardly anyone there. Which was fine honestly, food came and that where we were disappointed one person got EXTREMELY stale chips that should not have been served. They seemed good but they wouldn’t even crunch and so chewy. Next the brisket was half fat that should not have been served at all. The only good part we’re the fries. They used What appeared to be homemade potato chips which was really good. The nacho cheese was not my favorite but personal preference is real cheese melted. The brisket is way too salty and has no smoke flavor to speak of. All I could taste was salt. The pulled pork was okay but again no smoke flavor.

I've had a lot of BBQ from around the country, and have made lots of smoked pulled pork, beef brisket, pork ribs, and chicken myself. The "beef brisket" isn't beef brisket. It's more of a beef pot roast, like you would make with a chuck roast. It tastes fine, but to call it brisket is lying.

The pulled pork is on the dryer side. For how easy smoked pulled pork is I would expect a smokehouse to be able to have this nailed down.

The one bright side was the chips and barbecue sauce. And being on the lake is neat. But if you go for the food, lower your expectations.

If you like dry, salty and bland this is the place for you. Had the ultimate sampler with the mac and cheese and kegs. Only thing "ok" was the sausage and the kegs. I think we were there for an hour and a half.
But it's good food and it will be a nice place in the summer. Also we went on a Sunday and granted it was the only place open for lunch. It just needs more space for how much they are trying to do with it, it's a good idea but a big idea for such a small space.

WOW. We were headed home on a Sunday around noon, were looking for a lunch spot, and this came up as a suggestion for us in Google Maps.

We just returned from Austin, Texas and ate at Terry Blacks, Salt Lick, and Rudy's.

This was just as good as authentic Texas BBQ!

We shared the Rib and Brisket platter with smoked bacon Mac and cheese and Potato Kegs. Think of it as an oversized tater tot with amazing goodness inside. We also shared the Brisket Sammitch with onion rings.

Everything was prepared to our liking, fresh, perfectly smoked (very hard to do!).

We ate on their rooftop overlooking a lake. Live music was staring at we were departing.

Great food, great views.

Went there for the fish fry. Tarter sauce was on point and the Wisconsin beer cheese soup was amazing. Deep fried fish to perfection. Cole slaw was delicious as well. Plus 2.50 old fashioned. Can't go wrong with this place.

Absolutely take your dining dollars to this local establishment. We had a handful of items between us all. Do: brisket, it's melt in your mouth with not-too-greasy goodness. Pulled pork: also nice with the little crispy bits. Sauce is rather sweet for my taste, and need more of it, but decent. Chicken strips are a familiar favorite. Burger was super dry and massively overcooked, but the flavor was excellent. They did not ask me how I liked it cooked. Sides could be improved, cowboy beans and Mac n cheese were stodgy, like leftovers warmed up. Onion rings are not battered and cheese curds were weirdly dry and chewy. French fries were solid though. No ribs were available, so we'll save that for next time, when I am likely to just order yummy meat and take it home. It's worth it, just for the brisket alone. I'm picky, so you might love the sides.

Had the full rack of ribs, bacon Mac and cheese, and sweet potato fries. You could grab the bone and just pull it out of meat. Great rubs. Mac and cheese was amazing too. The full rack of ribs is enough for two people unless u really hungry. Will he going again. Friendly staff and patrons.

We saw this place an the way to the campground. We planned the final day around going here for lunch and we're so glad we did. The Ultimate Meat Lover's Platter was enough for the 4 of us(2 adults, 2 kids) to share and was delicious! We had the fries, rings, and smoked mac n cheese. YUM! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. If you're near here, don't question whether to stop. DO IT, you won't be disappointed!

This is another new gem for the little town of Pardeeville. This place is wonderful!! Food is amazing, people are incredible and the atmosphere is awesome. We ordered the brisket and pulled pork platters and while it may seem a little pricey (for the area) at $18 each, it was well worth every penny. We took home more than half of each meal and could have easily split one. Others were telling us the sampler platter is also amazing. Glad this place is close to home as we will definitely be making it a regular stop. They are still working on the outdoor patio and looks like an upper deck will be open next summer which will be perfect looking out over the lake.

Beautiful setting sitting out on the back deck looking at the water, Great selection of beers tapped, mixed drinks were good also. The pulled pork, Smoked brisket,And wings were amazing!!! Amazing ribs and brisquit! Amazing. Bones slipped right out of the meat and were so juicy. Yes, they were out of a couple menu things, as people suggested in other reviews... like there was no coleslaw. But whatever, its a small local kitchen that is fresh daily and believes in first come first serve. Im ok with that!
