Experience was wonderful but my food was not good at all. My lamb was beyond overcooked. Like a pork chop someone forgot in the oven. My scallops, one side was seared the other wasn’t but still rubbery, the both of them. Best part of my meal as the onion soup. Was too embarrassed to say anything during dinner last night because our waitress was wonderful.

Always have a great meal at Johnny Manhattan's. I usually get scallops, but this was a quick stop in and we wanted to try the pizza. Since the restaurant only provides excellent service, our pizza was taking a bit long, not that my husband and I cared since we were enjoying the atmosphere, but the manager came out and apologized for the weight and said the pizza broke in the oven so they had to make a new one and it was on them. It came out with lots of toppings and was delicious. I wish waived closer so we could go more often!

My wife and I ordered drinks and a pizza. Excellent supper club. The vibe here is so Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin. Manhattan's and old fashioned's were superb. We tried the beer battered cauliflower for an appetizer. I would highly recommend it. The shrimp Alfredo was excellent and the fried chicken was the best. We will definitely be back!

I chose outdoor seating as the weather was perfect for it. I enjoyed the comfort and style of the patio. The service is amazing. And with the one meal for dinner that I've had, the fish fry, the champagne battered cod, is made just how I like it. I look forward to returning to try another dinner maybe the salmon or ribs.

While there are clearly many people who rate this place high and on the night we were there it was crowded - but, this was one of the worst meals my wife and I have ever had (and we dine out often)!
Both of our salads had a hard solid "chunk" that was obviously part of the "core" of a head of lettuce. I've eaten hundreds of salads from dozens of places and never have been served part of the core. The bread was so hard in was almost impossible to cut and very difficult to chew. My wife's filet had very little flavor and my NY Strip was so tough I rocked the table trying to saw through it.

We've had steak dinners here before and they were not bad - but that was a few years ago. We will not be going back - a waste of $160!!!!!

Classic dinner club, great atmosphere and setting. I would recommend the double pork chops, spaghetti, walleye…. Basically anything but the steaks. My last 4 steaks have been overcooked. I lean more towards medium rare to rare, so having medium or medium well in a huge disappointment. I’m not sure what’s going on but beware if you like rare or medium-rare you’ll probably be disappointed.

Johnny's has gotten to be one of our regular go to places. They serve nothing but prime meat and seafood. I've had a lot of prime rib and most places are very inconsistent one time it's great and the next time it's just okay not at Johnny's they are my go to for prime rib Saturday it's always exelent. Rose loves their seafood and lamb. The filet is literally fork tender with wonderful flavor without any of the "peppercorn encrusted" or smothered in something BS just such a great piece of meat that stands for itself the same for the 24oz bone in prime ribeye great marbling full C cap and juicy flavor.
We've been going there for a few years now typically stop at least several times a month and haven't had a bad experience. The worst thing I could say is that we have found several better fish frys so remarkably Johnny's is not our go to Friday fish fry it's ok but there are better

Johnny’s dropped the ball on my birthday yesterday. Our server was wonderful, as well as the food. We were really disappointed to not get the table we requested. The gentleman I made my reservation with over the phone over a week ago told me we would be able to sit in the main dining room since my mother has never gotten to sit in the main dining area. We get there and are told it’s not guaranteed and shoves us in the back dining room. It was very embarrassing standing there waiting to see if we would be able to get the table I requested over the phone, then we’re told they can see what they can do if we wanted to wait at the bar for an hour. I manage at a gastropub and know it’s very possible to not seat tables at a table someone had made a reservation for. Just very disappointed.

I made reservations for the private and cozy booth area for our family of 6.
Nancy was our server and she was outstanding. Everything was timed wonderfully, she was cheerful, made many suggestions, and anticipated our needs. She consulted with the chef to be certain our gluten-free daughter had a meal that met her dietary restrictions.
Our group ordered prime rib, steak, walleye and shrimp dinners. Each plate was intentionally elegant and prepared to perfection.

The policy change on pizzas is a greedy cash grab. Ordering a named pizza with less topings on it shouldn't cost more than the actual named pizza. Having to pay $80+ for two pizzas with LESS toppings than the actual named pizza is a rip off & not worth my business.

"The Spicy" is $26 as it comes. If you remove mushrooms the pizza becomes $32. Maybe you order the "Nana Rosie’s Favorite" for $27 but you want no green peppers the pizza becomes $36 dollars. Now imagine you show up to pick up that pizza expecting to pay ~$50 but the bill is ~$70. Two pizzas, with LESS toppings that the orginals, costs you almost $20 more. RIP OFF. I can 100% understand if I add MORE toppings to a pie but to charge more for less is the absolute definition of a rip off.

Called acouple weeks ago to reserve what I thought were a few more tables near the fireplace for our anniversary not realizing there was one table for two and requested if I could have it for our anniversary they said they would see what they could do low and behold we got the table which was just absolutely fabulous the food is second to none ,service is second to none ,and atmosphere, is amazing this is my new favorite restaurant hands down ..I drive about 40 Mi to enjoy what I know will be an amazing dinner.... always an exceptional evening at this restaurant ...I couldn't recommend it more..

Johnny Manhattan’s is a great steakhouse for a group or date night. We had a large group and had various appetizers with my favorites being the burrata and shrimp cocktail. The meatballs were okay but nothing special. Their large filet mignon cooked to medium rare was a delicious steak—about what I had anticipated. Lastly, their Tiramisu was some of the best I’ve ever had. You must get this for dessert here. The pistachio cheesecake was also very good, but didn’t seem to have the same consistency as a typical cheesecake. Overall, great place to dine, and their service and atmosphere were top-notch.

We had meatballs for an appetizer. The meatballs were amazing. The sauce was very flavorful but very thick.
We both had steaks. Both were excellent (I preferred the filet over the 20oz ribeye but but both were awesome). The baked potatoes were a bit overdone / burnt.

I had the scallops which were delicious but they didn't come with any vegetable on side my husband ordered the short ribs were also delicious. I have to say the dinner salad is pretty weak iceberg lettuce? I would expect dark leafy greens salad based on the prices you pay for dinner. Long wait between courses, restaurant very loud, hard to have a conversation, ordered filet which came with mushrooms and ordered mashed potatoes.
Warm bread came with a bowl with balsamic vinegar and oil. Bowl was too deep to actually mix them so ended up with bread soaked in oil. No butter was offered.
Filet was very good, 4 small mushrooms were cold as were the potatoes. Definitely a disappointment.

We had a party of six and were told we could not split the bill between the three couples, only two couples max could use a credit card ( the third had to pay with cash) and finally we had to calculate who owed what on the total bill. Unfortunately, a Birthday dinner that we spent here was ruined, first by one of the three steaks we ordered being of poor quality and overcooked and then by the exceptionally rude response of management when we expressed dissatisfaction with the steak. We had three well behaved children at our table and when we expressed that the one steak was not of as high a quality as expected the manager angrily said “I bet my kids lives that it is a prime quality steak.” It was a really strange, aggressive and off putting way of communicating especially to a table that included children. When we mentioned that we found the comment inappropriate, she stormed away from our table laughing under her breath at us and the seven year old with us was asking why she was laughing at us and being rude to us. Her behavior was so clearly inappropriate that it was identified as such by a seven year old. The same seven year old that had been complimented by staff earlier because he was being so polite and well behaved. They then proceeded to basically disappear and be totally inattentive to our table, making no attempt to offer us dessert even though we were there for a Birthday and had pre-ordered cake for the Birthday upon making our reservation. We were ready to just give up and get dessert elsewhere but the four year old with us excitedly said to the waitress “we need a cake with a candle for him!” pointing to her Grandfather whose Birthday she was excited to celebrate. The waitress just coldly said a reluctant “ok” and walked off. She brought a piece of cake 15 minutes later. Being rude to a four and seven year old who are excited about their Grandfather’s Birthday is really uncalled for. We still tipped well and tried to enjoy the end of our meal, having spent several hundred dollars, but as we walked out, the manager gave us a dirty look from the bar. Two if us then walked back in to share with her that we felt the customer service was exceptionally poor and that the kids were asking why she was being rude and laughing at us. She made no attempt to make amends, apologize, or show any sincerity. Everything she said to us was said in such a way as to sound like an “F-you” Her main issue with us seemed to be being extremely offended by the fact that we disliked the one steak, but she also acknowledged at one point to us that occasionally there is a steak that just isn’t as good as expected. No idea why she wouldn’t just have apologized and expressed regret that we somehow got a grainy steak and tried to make sure the rest of our meal was good. They never even asked how we were enjoying the rest of the food. In case you are reading this review and wondering how the other food was, the other two steaks were pretty good, but the potato sides were just so-so. There are a lot of other places in the Milwaukee area where you can get a nicer meal both in food quality and in presentation and especially in service at the high price point. It was shocking how bad the customer service was and how little they cared about being civil with children present or ensuring that our Birthday celebration was a good one. I definitely wouldn’t recommend entrusting them with your loved ones’ special occasion. Sad and disappointing.

This place is a real surprise, the food is incredible, the food is fresh and delicious. The best seasoning and the employees are all super friendly. Here I tried the best tiramisu and risotto.
I highly recommend this place, it has become my favorite restaurant in the United States 🇺🇸.

Great service and lively place complete with well done Christmas displays. Nice building and ample parking. Bathroom could use more light. Once the stall door is closed the one lightbu the sink isn't enough. The rest of my party enjoyed the lobster and steaks. For dietary reasons I needed to stick to salad that night which were little more than iceberg lettuce and a single grape tomato. One shave of brussel sprout. Realizing the focus are the meat dishes but it's 2024 in a few short days...there are many more who may come in a party or as a guest who don't/can't eat meat....and it's not that difficult or expensive to have a decent salad. There is one meatless pasta which was an option but I could not have heavy food that day. So did not enjoy not having a true dinner salad but everyone else was happy and waitstaff were great so still giving 5 stars.
Update: went back to use gift cards from Christmas. Had the Rosa linguine which was great. They also had a good looking salad on the Specials menu, which I really wanted to try! But my meal came with salad and tried to keep the check to a minimum. Next time!

Well, where do I start? It was my birthday meal, and I am so disappointed! We've eaten here before several times. We've always liked the food but this time was not a good experience. My Salmon was mushy, and the sauce was tangy, and my husband's steak was undercooked. He requested a medium well temperature and received a medium rare. I'm not sure what is going on with the restaurants in our area but I'd rather eat at home.

Been there twice. Got the broiled pork chops both times. Gonna be hard to convince me to have anything else ever, but I assume the steaks are just as fabulous.

Had the tomahawk rib eye this time. Tremendous.

Went back to the pork chops (broiled) and was delighted again. And Troy is the best at the front desk!!!

My wife and I visited Johnny Manhattan's for the first time tonight and we will definitely be back!!!!! From the captivating ambiance, to our most attentive waitress, Rebecca, to the reasonably priced entrees and the large portions of exquisitely prepared food, the restaurant did not miss a beat. My wife's pork chops were HUGE (she now has take home meals for all of next week). My champagne battered cod was the best I have ever had (sorry, Culvers, you are now in second place). But, all that aside, it was Rebecca that raised our experience to another level. She was knowledgeable, attentive and, above all, most pleasant. As I wrote earlier, "We will be back" and we will be sure to ask for Rebecca.

I’ve always had great food and a great experience here. It would be a 5 star review, but tonight we just stopped in for a couple drinks at the bar and I was charged $52 for two pours of Buffalo Trace. That’s just criminal. I know nice places mark up bourbon, but charging $52 for 2 pours from a $24 bottle is ridiculous. I’ll return for the food, but I’ll get my drinks elsewhere.

We enjoyed a very good dinner here. Spiedini, prime rib, scallops, and a rack of ribs were our main dishes.
Like all restaurants today, quite expensive at $76 per person, but our waitress Laura provided exemplary service and the food was delicious.
The atmosphere and setting here is wonderful as well. Definitely will be back!

First off , The Restaurant is Absolutely Beautiful inside with all its Wood Furnishings. It was my Girlfriend’s and I’s First Visit. Our Waitress ( Abby T ) was A+++++++, My Girlfriend had Fettuccine Alfredo which she Loved , I Had NY Strip and Baked Potato Which was Absolutely Perfect. We are already planning our next visit their with my Nephews (My one Nephew is who recommended It to Us ) to Sample there Friday Fish Fry.
