We have been getting John’s pizza for 30 years because we think it’s the best around. Not this time! I was told 35-40 minutes, which I questioned because this is way too long at 5:00. The kid said again, 35-40 minutes. When I got home with the pizza, it was cold! Not even warm. This had been sitting in the box a long time before I picked it up. It not only was cold but the middle was doughy and undercooked! The kid also forgot to ask it we wanted fresh or canned mushrooms. His choice was canned, not our choice. He should’ve called. The sausage was the weirdest I’ve ever seen on a pizza. It was like large meatball sausage vs smaller pieces scattered evenly. There was one meatball for every 2 slices of pizza. Hardly distributed well. I even left a 15% tip on a carryout order. I really feel ripped off. If this is the new norm we will be going elsewhere. The kid needs to go!

I should have read the reviews before ordering. Ordered carryout a week ago. First off, They said it would take 90 minutes to make a pizza and a bucket of chicken. Menu said chicken bucket comes with fries. When ordering, I said 24 pc chicken/with fries. When picked up, there were no fries and the chicken was over done. Called to say, order was missing the fries. Response was, we don't have any fries. This would be something they should have told me when I ordered fries with the chicken.
They told me the owner went away and left them with a shortage of supplies including fries and lettuce. No one knew how to fix the fact that I paid for something I didn't get. They wouldn't credit my card. Said I had to come back when the owner was there. I'm never going back!

Don't expect anything special if you go in person. If you have a delivery made double check with the order taker, I can't tell you how many times I have ordered from this place and they get the address wrong after being given a very clear address spoken very slowly and concisely.

The manager was understanding but pretty snarky. I paid $29 for a pizza that was delivered to the wrong address for like at least the third or fourth time; and not a single concession was made. Do better.

I will say this was the first time I was able to place and order and the person taking my order wasn't annoyed or sounding like I was bothering them by placing a single pizza order.

After peeping online at a menu, I ordered a pizza that was priced at 19.50. When I got there, my total was 26.40. I only brought $21.00, so I had to scrounge for change in my car. Pizza was just ok. I can get the same sie pizza at even odds for $10 less. So, don't go by their online pricing, bc they never bothered to change the online prices.

We’ve been ordering from John’s Grafton for over 20 yrs. Ever since new ownership the quality of food has declined. I’ve never been to the restaurant we’ve always had delivery. I should have looked at the reviews. If you’re in Grafton think twice about eating or ordering out from this place. I ordered a carry out and even gave them a tip. But they still could not get out 16 inch pizza in under an hour. A waste of my time on a Thursday night. They appear to be under new ownership and can’t live up to the former. Also crust is partially burned and they use canned mushrooms. They should end the pizza side and put more work into the bar because they like to service bar people with pizza before they service carry out…I’m done with Johns.

6 of us went for pizza here for the first time. Pizza wasn’t bad, but the experience was horrible. There were only 2 other tables in the restaurant while we were there, and we could see at least 6 employees in the kitchen (typically on their cellphones). Our server barely came back to our table. We never got napkins, utensils or refills on our drinks. We ordered 3 pizzas, one for each couple. Pizzas came out 1 at a time with a good 30 minutes between getting each one. The pizzas were decent, but all came out at different levels of cooked. One was a little under cooked and one was a little over cooked. Our server then went ahead and added a 20% tip onto the bill and didn’t say anything. I noticed and let the rest of my group know cause they didn’t notice. We looked at the menu, and no where did it say tip was automatically applied. If we weren’t so tired from a day of moving our friends into their new apartment, I would have argued the tip, because there was no way he deserved 20%. I absolutely would not go back and would not recommend this place to anyone.

I generally had good things to say about John's Pizza in the years past. Unfortunately, something must have gotten lost in the hand-off to the new owners.
We ordered four pies and the baking was rather inconsistent, ranging from blackened on the bottom on one, to nearly raw on another. While the cheese was the usual generous amount, the other toppings were rather inconsistently applied. The amount of sauce used was less than in the past...possibly to compensate for the now cracker-thin crusts. Most disappointingly, everything just seemed to lack much flavor. Even the garlic bread seemed like a hastily assembled concoction.
To their credit, the service was good, albeit inexperienced. I have no complaints about this, as everyone needs to start somewhere. They also quickly remade the burnt pizza without question, so this was handled well.
Admittedly, I don't visit John's a regular basis, but the pizza was completely off the mark of my expectations for what I normally get here. I actually looked forward prior in the day to come here for dinner and enjoy a Johns Pizza the way I've remembered them for years. I never expected to leave feeling so unsatisfied and disappointed after eating half a pie.
I'd encourage the ownership to take a close examination of the recipes used for decades here and try to more faithfully recreate those to keep the customers familiar with Johns Pizza. Either that, or totally reinvent things to build a new base of customers on a different style, as the present day rendition is just not worthy of revisiting.

Family of four, two kids and two adults.
Ordered an appetizer and four entrees.
Three tables in the dining room were populated including our table.

The appetizer took approximately 20-30 minutes to arrive. The first entree was delivered about 15 minutes after the appetizer.

The second entree was delivered about 5 minutes after the first entree. The third entree was another 5 minutes and the fourth (Macho Nachos) arrived about 5 minutes or so after the third.

The timing and delivery overall was terrible. The nachos did finally arrive about 55 minutes after initially ordering and they were burnt. I took them home and tossed them.

The server, though polite, was in a different world. After expressing that we needed to leave within 10-15 minutes, I still had to prompt her for the bill that she still had to manually calculate.

All in all, I dropped about $75 and this was my first and last time going there. Taco Bell is a better use of time, money and experience than this place.

Maybe the staff/kitchen people were new? I don't know. My advice is to try somewhere else.

I asked for a free pizza and was spoken to very rudely. I told them in addition to being late it wasn’t even hot and still nothing. My friend and I were looking for somewhere to go and grab a few drinks and get some grub last week. Because of Covid everyone was closed by 9, but John's was open so we headed over there. We were the only people there and it was about an hour before they were closing. The waitress looked less then thrilled. I got a bowl of soup and some french fries, along with a cocktail (Tito's vodka and cranberry juice). I asked for Grey Goose, my friend asked for a certain rum I can't remember at the moment but they did but have it either. The soup was really gross. It didn't even look appetizing, but I still tried it. The french fries were pretty much unsalted and had zero flavor. I was not impressed. The best part of dinner was my cocktail! None of it was cheap either. But I'm not one to make a fuss or complain so I paid the bill and left hungry and frustrated...I will not return here again.✌️✌️✌️

First time customer trying something new in the area, food arrived timely, but my family received a side salad in a large dish for $8.75. The pasta was so overcooked we couldn’t pick it up with our forks. We ordered fired wings which were soggy and under cooked. When calling the establishment, they said it was due to our distance from Grafton when our residence is right off Hwy43. Truth is this agency doesn’t take pride in there presentation or taste. They blamed the customer. Gave them a chance despite the other bad reviews. They didn’t even offer to compromise or resolve the situation. I understand due to Covid people are enduring hardship, but families in need of a decent meal due to work are due that when spending $60 +&10 tip for delivery. Unfortunately this is our first and last time. In most cases I chalk it up but all the food but the pizza was inedible. 1 star given for the polite delivery guy! Bad customer relations. I don’t expect a freebie but I do expect an edible meal when I order. There’s not much to choose from in the area. Btw this is my first review.

We have ordered from John’s multiple times because their food is good and they deliver. The delivery drivers are kind as well. Order accuracy and customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Many times Italian Beef sandwiches have been delivered without Aus Jus and a few times French Fries have been missing. Pizza is good, but beware: no one at the bar (including the bartender) were wearing masks. We went in to order and to have it delivered outside. While looking for the server to order, we caught a glimpse of the inside of the kitchen. No masks worn by anyone. I love John's and am so happy they have not only a gluten free crust but a cauliflower crust also. These are prepared along with their regular pizza crusts so if you have celiac that may not work but they are some of the best pizza's I have had since I found out I have to avoid gluten.

There is no packs of Parmesan or red crush peppers. This was 1st time trying their pizza, my son loves pizza. Phoned in the order I got so many lackluster answers to my question....just so mono tone even when I told her it was my 1st time trying their pizza. I'm sorry I can't give a very good review. Delivery of Chicken Fettucinni with mushrooms, onion & spinach was very disappointing. Bland sauce with a can of sliced mushrooms, and onions that would be put on a pizza. Should have been fresh mushrooms saute'd with onions. Garlic bread wasn't even toasted!

Let’s start with the Pizza, it is good, not consistent, but really good especially with the Sahale Ale Works beer from next door since Johns will serve you on their patio. I travel for a living, so often my go to meal is
pizza. I ordered a sausage Pepperoni pizza and hot wings and I would have to say if I lived here this would be My go to place. Everything tasted very good and quick delivery
