Was there with a small group for lunch. Half of the group ordered the salad bar and two had a side off the menu plus the salad bar. The other two ordered hot sandwiches. Hot sandwiches and appetizers took a very long time to come out (20 minutes) and the fries were not hot on either plate. One member of our group ordered chicken wings (app) and asked the server about her order when the hot sandwiches and the other app came out. She asked a 3rd time and the wings arrived just in time to put them in a "to go" box. I could understand if they were busy...but they weren't. 4 other tables of 2-3 diners. One was seated and had already ordered, one came in the same time our group arrived and one came in 15 minutes after we arrived.

I brought a group of flatlanders up to Fond du Lac for a bike race. Many of them know my affection for wisco supper clubs and family restaurants. The pressure was on.

Katy’s was only a 15 minute drive from our hotels and had a menu with something for everyone. We shared some appetizers including the 3 for $12 assortment, who isn’t happy with fried cheese curds?!?

The salad bar was better than I expected from these reviews. They also had two soups, broccoli cheese and seafood chowder. Rolls and butter also available.

It being Saturday night we had Wisconsin’s greatest hits available - fish fry, broasted chicken, prime rib. So many potato choices. A small but clever hack of putting the butter pats inside the baked potato so the butter melts right on it. There was something for everyone, even one ice cream sundae made it to the table.

All of the staff was great but I especially want to shout out to our waitress Kendall. She likes her job and it shows. She said she’s been there for a few years and I hope that stays true when we come back for the race next year. She communicated proactively and by the end of the night we were communicating without even having to speak.

The food is very affordable and tasty. I definitely recommend.

Great food and wonderful service!

Our group of 8 ate here the night before Race the Lake. The restaurant wasn’t crowded despite a Saturday night, and we had no trouble getting a big table.

Appetizers were quite tasty, and the main meal was even better. Kendall (sp), our server, customized my really tasty burger, and I heard other meals were just as good.

I’d certainly come back here when I return to the area again.

Since we live near by, we grab fish fries and burgers from here, to go, now and then, but I never wrote a review. Gotta say, the burger I had yesterday with red potatoes and onion rings for the sides was especially awesome. It was actually a little better than I've had previously, not say the earlier ones weren't great, but this burger had that nice crispy almost smash burger taste. The "reds" are always a favorite side with us too. Hope you folks stick around for a long time to come! Support local! :-)

Drove 30 minutes to have dinner here because we wanted to try something new and the reviews looked good. For a small town bar/restaurant I wasn’t expecting much, but even going in with low expectations it left much to be desired.

I got the Haddock Oscar with crab, asparagus and a cream sauce. Given the restaurant’s vibe (small dining room next to a rowdy bar, mounted deer heads on the walls, etc) this entree seemed out of place from the rest of the menu. The “crab” was imitation, which I should have expected. The cream sauce was a grainy, gelatinous consistency and didn’t taste right at all. The whole meal was bland, not worth the $17 by any means. My boyfriend had the battered walleye which was just okay. The service wasn’t great either. Overall this experience was just disappointing :(

We played in a basketball tournament in Oakfield on a Sunday and the team dined at Katy's for lunch. The service was wonderful and the waitress super helpful and seemed genuinely happy to be serving our large group. It was a very cozy restaurant and bar with plenty of seating for our group as well as the other patrons who were there. The menu was fairly robust and the food was very good at a reasonable price.

My wife and I decided to try this place after a hard day 🙂of rummaging .Walked in on a early Friday afternoon not to busy had quick and friendly service we both got the six piece perch plate .Fish were very good but the best thing about this fish fry was the all you can eat salad bar with a nice selection of food and two soups one was a very good clam chowder.We spent less than forty dollars .The only downside was a guy sitting in corner that talked loudly on his phone for 45 minutes.

We were on a day trip and found this restaurant. Every aspect was wonderful! Very friendly staff and the food was incredibly good. We had the Papa Bear Prime Rib and 8 oz Tenderloin, both medium rare. They were fantastic cuts of meat and cooked perfectly! Highly recommend!

Our server never came back to the table after giving us our meals, so drinks were never refilled...is it because we were not drinking alcohol, only soda? Didn't know salad bar came with our meal until sitting there 10 minutes after we ordered then the waitress told us. Salad bar was ok. Breadsticks tasted old, the cottage cheese had green chives or green onions over the top but the soup was really good. We ordered food to go also and that took forever, 40 minutes or more. I think when you have take out they should get salad or coleslaw with it if the price includes salad bar.

Decided to go for a hike and ended up at the Horicon Mash. Very disappointing...waited 40 minutes for a table then another 10 before a waitress came to the table. Then another 15 minutes to get our drinks and I had to ask the waitress for them. Less the Average - Granted we did go for Friday Fish fry an hour before they closed the kitchen at 9pm. However the salad bar was a joke, barely any salad toppings, everything was picked over & almost gone. They should have refilled & restocked considering we had a group of 4 that ordered the salad bar. Then when we ordered the Walleye plate, it took about 5min before they came out and told us they were out of it. I feel they should have known that when we first ordered.
