Its not a large place , stopped for a quick dinner on my birthday. Only people there were at the bar. Kind of a rustic looking inside.

Employees are publicly degraded and it makes for an overall uneasy atmosphere. Was fairly disappointed by the conduct by Management, owners in particular.

Bit of a hole in the wall but good food. Bar tender/server was very sweet and on top of her game even though she was the only one working the floor. Can't say a lot about the atmosphere because it was quite slow, but food was pretty decent. Didn't get any kind of liquor so can't comment except to say they had some beer choices that I had never heard of, many sounded quite interesting.

The fish fry is the best around. The pulled pork mac & cheese is also one of my favorites. The house salad has a lot to offer and is a very generous portion. It is also my favorite place to have crab dip. It’s also only one of two places in Wisconsin for adult Soft Serve! If the bar area is busy, it is always quieter in the dining room. Rachel and James are excellent hosts!

We had the Rib Eye steak meal. Steak was very thin not even 1/4" thick and almost shredded consistency. Not very tasty. Cold Canned mushrooms. The room itself was so cold we had to eat quickly before the food itself turned cold. We kept our jackets on the whole time. Waitress was nice and attentive. Will not come back again

From reviews we thought fish fry would be great; however, average at best. It appeared waitress was overwhelmed, she put in drink and food orders but food came out 10 minutes before she brought drinks. Sign out front says #9 fish fry in WI. We think it could be at least #8! It was really good, good portion size, crispy breading that wasn't overbearing to the fish, and price was very reasonable $13-$15 per plate. Server was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Would definitely eat here again if we are ever back in this area!

Very popular bar, at least partly because of the wonderful, award-winning food. The bar was a bit crowded for my liking, but as soon as we were seated, it was fine. The waitress was very polite and friendly, and the food really was outstanding. Our family all ordered something different and we were all happy with our meals.

Last night we ate there at 430 i could not eat my fish cold and greasy the batter was falling off !!! I would seriously consider cooking every order fresh and taking more pride in your number 9 in the state ! This was our first visit to Kellner International. We had heard about their fish fry and how good it was. Recent articles rated k I as number one in Wood county and number nine in the region. I am sorry to say that k i did not live up to the hype.
We were promptly seated in a booth and the waitstaff was prompt and attentive. I ordered a vodka martini and the bartender came out to find out what kind of vodka I would prefer. This was a nice touch and I appreciated it.
We both ordered three piece Alaskan pollock fried with baked potato and coleslaw.
The meal promptly arrived, sooner than I had expected. Unfortunately, while piping hot, the fish was mushy inside a bland batter. The baked potato was underdone. The coleslaw was very good as was the marble rye bread that came with meal. The martini was not as good as mom's but excellent nevertheless.
On a scale of one to 10 with 10 being the best possible, I can only rate Kellner International at 5.

Pretty disappointed in the fish. We waited 25 minutes for someone to come to our table and never got checked on the whole time. Had to ask someone if they were going to come to our table to take our order. Moved to the Area last fall and realized I lived right around the corner from this place. I love the old school bar style so of course I loved KI. My wife and I go from time to time and the owner (Rachel and James) always remembers us and is super friendly. I love the Friday fish fry, the breading is light and crispy which I prefer over the heavier style. When COVID wasn't around it was always fun to go in and have a beer or 10 and just relax. Post COVID I have ordered takeout from KI and it was decent for what takeout is (Takeout is never as good as eating it hot on the spot). Thanks for adapting KI - my family and I will continue to support you and hopefully soon we can get back in person!

Update - New parking lot and I’ve been in a lot since my last review. Love this place, best Miller Lite in the area. Wait what? Yeah Miller Lite and best were used in the same sentence. I don’t know what it is.. the temp, the glasses, or something else but the Miller Lite on draft here is way better than anywhere else lol

The commercials make this place look really nice, but walking in we discovered a place in serious need of an update. No ambiance, very old diner-ish. Hubby and I shared the tasty garlic cheese curds, hubby had the Friday fish fry, pretty standard for a fish fry in this area. I had the special, which was a parmesan and Dijon cod. It was served on a bed of "southwestern" rice, with corn, black beans and peppers, as well as baby potatoes. It was a bit salty for my taste, but very good overall. We waited quite a long time for our check, I finally went to the hostess to ask for it. The place was quite busy, obviously a favorite of the locals.

If I could give 0 stars I would. We received HORRIBLE service when we placed a to go order of one item over the phone. Our order was supposed to take 20-30 minutes and 45-50 minutes later we received our food after standing their waiting. While waiting we were told our food would be out next multiple times and out would come an order for someone who had gotten there after we had been waiting. I will be sharing with EVERYONE I know about this disgustingly horrible service. The food isn't that good too be treated like that!!!
