Kestrel Ridge is a beautiful wedding reception and ceremony venue. Their event space held our 130ish guests very comfortably and everyone had a great time. The reception ballroom has beautiful chandeliers and is painted with neutral gray colors to fit with any wedding color scheme. We were able to decorate the day before which made our wedding day much less stressful. Nicki, the event coordinator, was great to work with and met with us in person multiple times and each time she made us feel at ease about the day. She also did a great job directing people during our rehearsal and during the ceremony on the day-of. The food was delicious. We decided to do family style which gave everyone the opportunity to try both meal selections without having to walk through a buffet line. This made dinner faster and allowed us to get to the dance floor sooner. They also had a great bar service team! Overall, we had a great experience hosting our wedding at Kestrel Ridge.

Have had dinner a Kestrel numerous times. It's our favorite spot in town to treat ourselves. We brought along some friends last night and the food was amazing but the service was really top notch. We ended up being there for 4+ hours, it felt like every employee in there engaged with us at some point and made sure we were enjoying ourselves the whole evening. Thank you!

Our son was married on September 14th, 2024 and the reception was held at Kestrel Ridge Golf Course. This was our first family wedding and Nicki was easy to work with and made sure we were comfortable and informed on everything at the reception and dance. There were many food options to choose from and the chef did an amazing job preparing our choices for which we received many compliments. The wait staff did a great job making sure everyone was able to eat in a timely manner. The bartenders were very friendly and were accommodating to our guests. Overall we had an outstanding experience and would highly recommend using Kestrel for any event.

First of all, the food was phenomenal!
The staff, although shorthanded, was friendly. However, we were literally the first people to be seated… and we waited about 15 minutes or so for our waters… then (as the restaurant was filling up, and orders were taken seemingly from front to back) it seemed as though it was about a half hour before we placed our food order. Once we placed our order… people who had arrived well after we did - received their food?! Again, the food was great! But, it seems as though the logistics of ordering and expedition of the food needs to be addressed!
(We walked in at 4:25… we were early, we didn’t walk out until 6:20?!).
Hopefully it can be “chalked up” to a bad day?!

My husband and I were married here on 8/27/22. Everything leading up to the wedding was amazing: Nickie is extremely personable, communicative, and on top of it. She made us feel at ease from the very first day we booked the venue, because we knew we could trust her. It conveniently rained the one hour we were supposed to have our ceremony, moving us unexpectedly inside: while it was disappointing we couldn't enjoy the gorgeous outdoor space, the indoor ceremony all came together without a hitch. Our guests had a BLAST and loved the beauty of the venue and the amazing food. I fully recommend that other couples get married at Kestrel Ridge!

Everything was included with the space (tables, chairs, linens, etc) so we didn’t need to worry about renting anything. Nickie is the day of coordinator and was amazing to work with. Her expertise and communication made it as stress free as possible! The entire staff the day of were very helpful and friendly. They helped set everything up and took it all down for us to pick up the next day so we didn’t have to worry about anything the day of. And the food was amazing!! We received so many compliments on it (some even said it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had). I never had a doubt that my wedding day would be perfect thanks to this venue and the staff.

We had our wedding here on 7/30/22. We loved everything about our day! Nickie was so accommodating and really helped relieve stress off this bride!!! We toured and we’re back within the week to book because we knew it was perfect for us! We were engaged & married in 9 months and everyone was so helpful with our timeline. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we knew exactly what was going on during the day & had everything ready for us. They packed everything for us to pick up sometime within the following few days but there was never any rush to get out! The place is gorgeous so there’s no need to go crazy on decor! My boyfriend and I golfed 18 here this past weekend. The course, fairway, greens and sand traps were well groomed. The portapotties were about the cleanest ones I've ever used. We had a lot of fun even when it downpoured and rained on us for about half our time.

The holes were well marked, but perhaps there could be better signage for Hole 16 (men's tee was set further back from the women's tee - wasn't apparent we had passed it until we saw the "Hole 16 Forward Tee" sign) and we didn't see signage for Hole 17.

The entire staff at Kestrel Ridge was amazing to work with! Nickie was so helpful through the entire process. She was responsive, helpful with all of the details, and extremely organized to work with. Wow. The new owners have gone above and beyond. The venue space is beautiful, but a clean pallet. You can make the space fit your vision! They’ve updated the ceremony space. It’s picturesque! The best part of the experience was working with Nickie Klahn. She is calm, patient, and professional. You can tell she loves what she does and does it well. From the day we toured the venue to the changes my husband and I elected to make due to COVID-19, she made happen. Our guest raved about their food and the bartenders pour a strong drink! Came here for the first time two days after the area received 4+ inches of rain. Despite that, the course was in great shape, and only one hole had any standing water and it wasn’t in play. The bunkers were a bit rough, but that was to be expected with all the rain. The fairways were in great shape and were dry, as was the tall grass.

Add in the friendly clubhouse staff and the very reasonable prices, and it was worth the 20 minute drive from Madison. I’ll certainly be back!

I played nine. Course is cut through flat farmland, with some subdivision housing surrounding parts of it. Holes were mostly straight, there was maybe one hole where I couldn't see the flag from the tee. Lack of irrigation made it seem like a links course. Crabgrass abounds in the bunkers, fairways full of bare dead spots, hard greens. Lots of little hills along with clover in the rough areas to frustrate finding a shot that isn't in the fairway. Not many mature trees in play, water wasn't a factor.
Nice building, good friendly staff, beverage cart was a welcome sight.

The course was in better shape than I was expecting for such a low price. The new owners have plans to renovate. The greens were in great shape, tee boxes were good, fairways and bunkers need some work but did not take away from a great day of golf! Half hour from Madison--this might be my new weekend golf club since it's such a great deal. I chatted up a couple of the employees and everyone was really nice and accommodating.

I have been to Kestrel Ridge several times since the new owners took over this year, including the Mother's day brunch this weekend. They had a wonderful selection to choose from. It was by far the best brunch I've been to. Brandy slush, mimosas and the home-made mac n cheese were my favorites. Great bar food downstairs as well. I might even take some golf lessons.

This place needs to brush up on their customer service skills. The wedding event planner/coordinator, Lori, was HORRIBLE. She was no where to be found on the day of my sister's wedding. We arrived at Kestrel at 9am and were told that there was no wedding taking place that day. When we finally got that part all straightened out we were met with a messy reception hall. We asked to have someone come vacuum. The vacuum ended up breaking and someone else came up to fix it and made an extremely sexist comment...'You couldn't figure out how to fix this with all these women up here?' Absolutely absurd. That same man was a bartender and told his customers he will serve them when he was ready to serve them. Among other things there were staff members making out in the back that my sister (bride) happened upon.
I was just overall completely dissatisfied with the service and attitudes of the staff. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
