Food was flavorful, but extremely greasy. We tried the Al Pastor quesadilla, just dripping in the oil so it became soft . The steak encebollado (onions) was flavorful. Also ordered The arrachera taco and carnitas. The Carnitas was ridiculously greasy. It was just in a pool of oil and grease. fortunately whatever I could eat was very yummy.

First impression with bits of trash all over the front of the property and parking lot wasn’t good. I can’t find good papaya anywhere in Wisconsin usually so I went to try their whole papaya and the papaya was bad inside with disgusting fungus making it completely inedible. I live 40 minutes away and don’t make it into the dells every day. I wanted to bring the whole uneaten refrigerated papaya to the owner for a refund 1 week after purchase but was denied. Almost $20 down the drain. Bad business 👎👎

I come here every Friday, every week I come here the food is always so delicious, and so fresh! Its phenomenal! The service is good, the waiters treat everyone with respect! They make the food pretty quick, so there’s not much waiting time. Some server’s know me and my grandpa’s order pretty well since we’ve been coming here for a couple of years! I never had a bad experience here at all! I always recommend this place to my friends and family, when they do come here they say the food is so good and they would definitely come again! Kimberly mexican restaurant was an unexpected anc welcome surprise. For its location it was u expectedly authentic. The parrillada was amazing. The chicken was juicy, pulled pork was flavorful and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. Their flan and tres leches are a must try! Another recommendation would be the tamarind jarritos which was nostalgic of a Tamarindo when I had visited mexico. The drink elevates the experience.
This restaurant was an unexpected find and turned out to be one of the highlight of my trips when I visited Wisconsin.

I normally don’t ever do food reviews but I have to for this place. When you go to the dells and are looking for real taste in Mexican cuisine this is the place to dine in for your cravings. The flavors are on point, the food is seasoned very well. Spice level depends on you, but I say nothing is better than some heat in your food. We order tons of dishes so we knew by the taste of everything the chef knows how to cook. And for trying it the first time I’m impressed. Being a Madison restaurant owner myself and a picky eater I can pin point what elements in a cuisine is lacking. Again 10/10.

I was on my way home and found myself hungry. Of the options on this exist, I am glad that I picked this one. Because they had Molcajete, I was obliged to order it. The chips and salsa was more of a tomato sauce than salsa. Choriqueso was a white nacho cheese (no stringy melted cheese to it) with chorizo that had no red to it (a little odd) came in a small bowl (the kind for extra limes). Tinga had dry chicken breast just a hint of chipotle flavor, Al pastor should be more fried, and arrechera (very inexpensive so a pro) tasted more like no flavor steak. Masa for gordita was a bit raw.

I did like the barbacoa it was very good.

We also bought milanesa bought was overly salty.

Last place I would go to eat Mexican food.
1. The restaurant looked more like a fast food place or a hot dog stand. So i recommend eating outside as the dining area is by far more inviting than inside.

2. The service was a little below average. The waiting staff spoke very little english, good thing my sister speaks spanish.

3. The worst part of this whole dinner which my brother paid over 100 bucks for was the food. My brother and his wife had the steak burritos and my sister and I had the steak fajitas. This is the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten in my life and Mexican food is one of My favorites. The steak burritos were almost all rice and hardly any steak. First off most Mexican restaurants use sirloin or flank steak. Kimberly's uses chuck steak and it was very fatty. None of us finished our meal and when we tried to tell the waitress but she acted like she didn't understand us my sister who speaks very spanish well explained to her that our food wasn't very good. The waitresses walked away and just left us the bill. The food was burnt and smelled like it.

Go anywhere but here. You truly will be disappointed and with the way the economy is today you will thank me for saving your taste buds and money.

Stopped in last Wednesday for lunch on our way to MN. Fast, friendly service, and some of the better Mexican food we have had in a long time. I had the chicken enchiladas, and my husband had an al pastor burrito. The sauce on top of my enchiladas was the bomb, and his burrito had jalapenos in it, yum! Super reasonably priced also. Delicious food at affordable prices. My family of four came here for lunch. Excellent service, the menu offers a variety of options for all. I regret to leave a one-star review for our recent dining experience at Kimberly restaurant. Despite sitting at their largest table, we were dismayed by the lack of hospitality and excessive charges for basic items.Firstly, we requested additional chips and salsa, only to discover they were charging extra when we were a table of 10 and were not panning in passing the salsa and chips form corner to corner - a surprising and disappointing practice. Moreover, when we ordered Mexican beers and requested limes, we were shocked to find an additional charge on the bill for the lime wedges, which should have been included with the beverages.Furthermore, the rush to clear our plates and glasses by 9 p.m., while we were still engaged in conversation, was highly intrusive and unwelcoming. It felt as though we were being rushed out the door, despite the restaurant's closing time.Overall, the combination of being overcharged for simple requests and the lack of consideration for our dining experience left us thoroughly dissatisfied. We will not be returning to this restaurant and cannot recommend it to others.

This restaurant isn't much to look at on the outside. But as we got close to the door, my sister said and I agreed that the smell was delicious and we had to eat here. We got the last table in the dining room. The dining room is fairly small. Food choices are authentic, priced very reasonably, and there's enough on the plate to fill you up. My only complaints would be that they never refilled my drink and never came back to ask if we wanted anything refilled or wanted any dessert. When we got ready to leave we had to find them in order to pay the check. I've already told other people about the delicious food here and would recommend you give it a try.
