Who would have guessed that I would find excellent Indian cuisine in a gas station in Sturgeon Bay? Great food, dine in or take out. Atmosphere is what it is -- the inside of a gas station-- but some outdoor tables too. Good food, great service, good price

Good food, no A/C, it’s inside of the middle of a gas station with no separation. Wraps were not as flavorful but the traditional Indian sides were awesome. Very friendly people. Expectations were a bit different given the photos on Google. The photos of the food didn’t match at all which leads me to believe they’re stock. It’s a lot less scaled up.

This was an unusual place for a restaurant as it was part of a gas station. All the same the food was good and the people were nice and I enjoyed the chicken tikka roll

Kinara is this quirky little spot inside a gas station that feels like a Midwest version of a bodega (not that I’ve been to one). The Tikka Masala is solid, and sometimes I just pop in to grab naan and curry from their fridge for a quick fix. Lucky to have something this great in Sturgeon Bay!

The curries are pre-made and in the fridge. Our food was made fresh but the flavors were just okay. My wife ordered a "bowl" with chicken. The fries were good and there were plenty of them, but the salad was disappointingly small. It needed some additional lettuce and veggies, especially for $12.99. This place is in a gas station and what I would call "a hole in a wall", which I don't mind if the food is spectacular. I gave a four for service because it was not explained to grab a drink from the gas station fridge and pay up front at the gas station counter. A little better explanation about the food would have been nice as well.

Picked up the Kinara Chicken Bowl with Rice for lunch. Good sized portion for 1 or 2 people. The rice was cooked to perfection with a hint of cumin, the chicken was flavorful and tender, and the peppers/veggies gave it a nice fresh, semi-spicy kick. Definitely adding Kinara to my lunch/dinner rotation.

Butter chicken was flavorful. We had 2 orders and one had quite a bit of chicken in it and the other didn't have as much. Thankfully the flavor made up for the difference. This is located inside a gas station and the food is available as a grab and go option or as a call ahead or sit down and wait option. The ambiance is that of sitting in a gas station 🤣 better off getting it to go and walking up the street to the park and checking out the freighters at BayShip

I live in Denver and go to Indian restaurants regularly. The Chicken curry here was as good as any curry I've had and at a great price. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and flavor - it immediately made me want to come back for more.
They are located in a gas station which doesn't bother me but i could see that being a turn off for some. There is some limited indoor seating available.
Definitely a hidden gem and the only place to get Indian food in Door County. I will certainly be frequenting this place many times in the future!

Great little local hole in the wall spot for take away Indian curry (we had a tasty palak paneer) and hot cooked Indian rolls (had the lamb koti roll) and both were delicious. Highly recommend it!

Hidden gem in Sturgeon Bay. Only Indian food in Door County! Made fresh, curries with rice, naan, samosas, Lassi and more. Made to order katti rolls.. Vegetarian options.. Mild to spicy.. Owned by a nice couple. It's inside the Mobil gas station. There's also a Boar's Head deli inside.

Tried this place out for the first time. Their Chicago dogs were amazing! Located in a gas station. If you’re looking for atmosphere, this may not be the right venue for your occasion. But if you want a great meal while on the go, hit them up! I will definitely be back.

5 for food quality and friendliness. Forget the gas station distraction. They easily accomodated my request for the Paneer Kati Roll to be spicy by adding a red curry and it was de-lic-ious!. Wife would like to try the lamb again, but as a plate with rice and more tzatziki. Also want to pickup some to-go food on our way back. Seating is fast-food style, between the kitchen, deli, coffee bar and beer cooler.. Drinks and order are paid for up front.
Will come again!

Good food for take out. Nice variety, basic ham and cheese for the kids and gyros and other more exotic choices for grown ups or more adventurous palates. Would be 5 stars but charged me same price for gyro without fries as one with, why should I have to pay for something I didn't want?

This is probably some of the best food in Sturgeon Bay. The Lamb Kati roll is unbelievable, the gyros is real nice and they cook an excellent burger on top of it. Lovely family owns the place - just shows that you don't need a big fancy restaurant to serve up delicious food. This is probably my favorite restaurant in Door County.

Food is good and tasty. Service was quick.
3 Cons:-
1. Very expensive - I mean one small roll for $11 + tax, too much. Maybe because nobody serves Asian meal in sturgeon bay, WI.
2. very limited choice on menu
3. The place is actually inside a gas station- so dont expect a proper restaurant or proper bakery place.

Delicious Indian food, American food, and gryos. There is a meat and cheese counter that sells Boar's Head products as well. They have a cooler with premade sandwiches as well as Indian to-go. The cooks take 10-20 minutes usually, so call ahead if you are in a rush.

We were roaming around Door County on a Sunday in April and there wasn't much for dinner options. We both love Indian food, so we thought we'd give this place a whirl. It's located inside a gas station, so that might be a deterrent for many folks, but I strongly recommend bypassing the gas pumps and the shelves of convenience store food and making your way to the food counter in back. This food is the real deal. We grabbed the dal and rice with an order of naan and headed back to our inn to eat. This is, hands down, the best dal I've ever eaten. Just the right amount of spice and so flavorful.
The menu offers lots of options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The coolers feature a full spread of take-out and, when the food counter is open, there are many other options. It's traditional Indian and really, really wonderful at that. If I lived in Sturgeon Bay, I would eat here regularly.
