We went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday as we have done for many years. We were seated by a window which was so dirty you couldn't see out of it. I ordered a drink which had a lime on it. However, the lime rind was brown. It was not very appealing. I ordered the Prime rib and fries. The prime rib was not very flavorful and the French fries were way over done. They were dark brown and had no taste of potato left. The waitress did replace them with a baked potato which I appreciated, but I'm not sure why they would have been served in the first place. However, looking at others who got French fries, they all looked the same. My husband got the Walleye and a gratin potatoes and he said it was okay. I think for $80 plus it should be better. We used to love this place but I don't think we'll go back again.

I recommended this place because my husband and I had previously come here for a date night and really enjoyed it — the food, service, and overall experience were great. Unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to that memory.

We arrived around 7 p.m. — my husband, our three kids, my sister, and myself — and were seated right away. We started with drinks and ordered an appetizer for our 2-year-old (he gets hangry!).

The three of us adults ordered the fish fry with the salad bar. While you only get one trip to the salad bar, that was fine — the homemade ranch and blue cheese were absolutely delicious. Our son got the chicken Alfredo (also very good), and our daughter had mac and cheese with fries. The mac and cheese was tasty, but the fries for two of the meals came out cold.

My sister had to remind our server — who was sitting with other staff — that our daughter still hadn’t received the drink she ordered. We also ordered another round of drinks, which she forgot about. She was again sitting at a table on her phone near the bar with the other staff. It wasn’t until she returned to our table that she seemed to remember. When she went to the bar, we overheard the bartender ask her to bring over the ticket — confirming she hadn’t put the order in yet.

To her credit, she did offer to bring out fresh fries, but by the time they came, we were already wrapping up.

Overall, this experience was a letdown. It’s disappointing, especially after having such a great first visit. Unfortunately, we probably won’t be back

Went here for a date night with the wife. Hoping for a fine dining experience. It wasn't. Ordered the bacon wrapped scallops as an appetizer. It wasn't seasoned at all. It was placed in garlic butter, but I think they forgot the garlic. The wife ordered the stuffed shrimp. Six tiny, and I mean tiny, shrimp stuffed with maybe a teaspoon of basic seafood mix. My seafood Alfredo was just meh, not bad but not good either. I've had better alfedo from a jar. Surprisingly the two shrimp that came with it were big. Which made me wonder why the stuffed shrimp on my wife's plate was so small. No free refills on soda or tea. I did have a bloody merry, it was the best part of the whole meal. There were two other couples there, but somehow they decided to stack us all together within whispering distance of one another. I don't mind spending over a hundred dollars on a dinner date with my wife, but this was definitely not worth the price. I tipped my server well, the food isn't her fault.

There were hardly any patrons on a Friday night. There is a reason for that. It's sad because the Country Inn used to be our go-to place. It's not what it use to be.

Since The Country Inn became KINCAID'S Country Inn, we have ceased going there, which is quite sad. It was our hang out when Monte owned it. The restaurant was dragged down in food and service quality and the prices were raised unreasonably. *I am aware most places have raised prices in this economy, but they didn't sacrifice quality in doing so*.

Great place to stop and have a relaxing dinner. My husband fell I love with the chicken and ribs, my son had the chicken Alfredo and my daughter had a burger. My favorite was the spinach and artichoke dip! So flavorful! My husband won’t stop talking about the chicken and ribs. I overheard someone tell the server that they had the best prime rib they had ever had when we were there.

The restaurant is family friendly, and the owners are always present which makes you feel good about being there. I’d much rather patronize a locally owned business than a corporation.

Horrible experience and food. If i could give 0 stars I would. Here was our Friday night dining experience: Seated relatively quickly. Waitress came to take drink order and gave answers to menu. Did not give a chance to order an appetizer before walking away. Once placed the order had some mediocre soup from the salad bar (the only good thing I can say is that it was hot). Appetizer (duck wontons - looked good but just cream cheese in a wonton wrapper... good luck finding any duck) came out and the waitress forgot the plates and extra napkins that we asked for when ordering drinks. She said that she would be right back and when she returned with the plates she had our food order. They have prime rib daily so we split that with au gratin potatoes. Asked for well done (expected a little pink) and it was medium rare at best. Au gratin potatoes were just Obrien hashbrowns with cheese... no flavor. Very disappointed. Waitress finally came back and we asked for the check. She asked if we wanted a to go box, no thank you. She asked what was wrong and when we expressed our disappointment she agreed that the prime rib was not well done. She offered to get the manager and said that they should be able to help. The manager came up to the table and asked what was wrong. We explained and the response was that they could cook the prime rib longer. We declined and said that we just wanted to leave. She took our check and my card. She came back and had charged us full price for everything. She said "I guess that's what happens when you try somewhere new. Have you ever eaten here before?" We both answered "Yes. Many times in the past". The manager asked what was different and we told her the food. So we paid almost $50 for a mountain dew, a water, 1 1/2 wontons, 4 bites of prime rib and 3 bites of potatoes. Ended up going to Burger King for dinner. We will not be returning. A good manager would have apologized and offered a discount...

We have been going here for years, it's one of my favorite places to eat. Even though it has new owners, everything is still the same including the food. Extremely disappointed!!
Wife and I moved back into the area after 11 years. Was excited to go here after so long, especially since I grew up eating at this restaurant and knew what the food was like.
We've been to several restaurants in, and out, of town since moving back, and I can say this place disappointed me the most by far.
The food was way over priced for the amount, service was horribly slow, and the meal was extremely bland.
Wife and I ordered the same meal, and after our food was brought out to us (almost an hour later), we noticed the amount on my plate was half the size of hers. So I got the same meal as her, payed the same price, but got half the amount🤔
Will never eat there again. Very sad and disappointed in the place.

Ordered a whiskey sour with southern comfort. Got my drink. No whiskey at all. Had 3 other people try it also. Ordered the king cut prime rib. The meat was good and tender. It was however, over 50% pure fat. Paid $31 for maybe 8oz of meat. Ordered first drink at 5pm. Didn't get check from food until 645. Then had to wait half an hour for waitress to grab check and ring me out. Will never go back absolutely worst drink I've ever had, and a prime rib that is mostly fat. Not worth the drive or the overcharged food.

One of the worst meals ever. Thursday night primetime 630 and we are the only folks in the place. Not a good sign but we went in anyways. You could not cut the prime rib, so tough. The food wasn't good overall. Steak was ordered medium rare, over half of it was at least medium. Potatoes were served so hot, I had to wait 20 minutes before eating. The deep fried shrimp were very good. One of the dinner salads had frozen lettuce. The prime rib was marginal at best. It was like it was reheated from a week ago. Awesome food. Great Wisconsin supper club. 2 things though. Brandy/whiskey old fashions need to be made right, muddle the orange, cherry and syrup together. Dont use a pre made mix. They should not look like a Shirley Temple. You dont put the fruit as a garnish. It should still be dark, and taste like booze. And the waitresses need their own till. Other than that, this place is aweaome.

We were passing through on the way home to Madison and stumbled upon this place, after looking on Google for a good supper club that serves Prime Rib (on a Friday). I would rate it 6 stars if I could! We are prime rib fanatics and very rarely are we 100% satisfied with flavor and tenderness! It is a very laid back and friendly environment. The service was great. The owner was sure to check in as well to ensure we were enjoying our meal.

The owner was extremely prompt & courteous. Ordered a diet Pepsi, the can was brought to me w/o a glass of ice. Husband asked for a water, got a juice glass of ice water. I mean everything was slow except the kitchen. It was slow to get our menus,slow to take our drink order,slow to get our drinks, slow to take our order, slow to get our bill and for them to process our card...

Felt like we were there 3 hours..once food was ordered soups and salads came quickly..relish tray and food timely. One person in our party had cold food but decided to just take to go rather than wait for it to be reheated...definitely needs more waitresses for dining room!!

First experience won’t bring me back. We were told that it would be a 10 min wait and an hour and half later we were still waiting. We were sitting at the bar and asked numerous times to order food and said we could but kept saying 10 minutes. My husband and I stayed two days in the area. Friday night we had the prime rib. We consider ourselves "meat snobs" and critical of taste and quality. Their prime rib was excellent so we decided to come back Saturday night for their Valentine's Day special. We had the crab legs and the sirloin/lobster dinners. The food here is fantastic. The salad bar is good, the service for food was fast. We were asked if we had reservations and said no because last year when we came they didnt take reservations. We typically come for birthdays to get prime rib as a special dinner. We were told we had to wait since we didnt have a reservation, which would be fine, but they just left us standing there with no time frame or waiting or direction for where they would like to us wait. We tried to stay out of the way of other guests but there is barley any space for anything other than the tables to sit at.

Service was good & staff friendly... but the food was AWFUL! Chicken Kiev was processed chicken stuffed with a stick of butter they must have bought frozen. My friends prime rib was tough & the hamburger was tasteless & dry. Only saving grace was the salad bar which was decent. Prices high for the quality. Won’t be back

Had the Friday night fish fry, actually baked fish. It was awesome, salad bar was great too with clam chowder and pasta salads. Waitress was great and we were served spiced cake out of the blue. Owner (Monty) came out of the kitchen and greated us all. Food was great, very affordable, very good service, awesome experience!

My wife and I came here with 2 other couples and have enjoyed biking & hiking the Tuscobia trail over the years. We were cold and the hot soup was nice on the usual cramped Wisconsin salad bar.

(We are lifelong Wisconsinites) We know better not to order a low cost steak or non-prime rib, so we ordered ribs and please take a look at what we got. My wife said it would look better with all the sauce but what is there to hide? You can see it may be leftovers from night before or just an old pig?

We did take home a doggy box and when mixing up the ribs with my hands they really felt very creepy...almost like rubber covered with Vaseline. We had to wash our hands with dawn 2x. Then we also noticed they actually smelled sour, so we just through them out.

God bless them but where have all the supper clubs gone?
