The gentleman was so kind. Ordered my food. Said it would be out in ten minutes. Went to my car, after 5 minutes he hand delivered it. Plenty of napkins silverware, crackers for the soup. This is the best Chicago style hot dog I've ever had. My lady is going to enjoy the French dip and soup. I would like to give this place 10 golden stars. Just amazing everything. Plus! I've ordered from this place twice since moving to the area and I have mixed feelings about it. I like the closeness of a gyro spot and the food is fresh however that's where the positives end. The menu is repetitive at times even offering the same meal with slightly different portions, but the biggest thing of it all are the large prices for what you order. Lets say If i order a burger combo that comes with fries and drink why would i have to pay 3.50$ extra for toppings? Or why is condiments that would normally come with a meal a la cart? I can get way more food for less money by venturing out further.

Had to edit this review after my 2nd visit.
Food is heaping hot and fresh. DEFINITELY good gyros, but this is where it gets interesting. 1st visit i paid $23 for a gyros supreme dinner ( gyros, fries and a beautiful salad, no drink) Thats alot for one meal. Today (one week later)I came for the same thing and it was $25 and I didn't even get a salad or a drink. Good food but it's NOT worth that much money feeding 1 person. There's even better gyros for even cheaper elsewhere

Place is expensive for a hotdog stand. 2 hotdogs one small fry large drink and moz sticks was 32 dollar. That’s 20 bucks anywhere else. Granted I’ll give him the fact they are jumbo dogs but not vianna beef or red hots. .when ordering online his prices are not updated. Overall there are better places to go for less.

Best Gyros !
I used to work in Milwaukee and would get Kings Gyros all the time, I live in Madison and haven't found any place that I like as much so whatever I'm anywhere near Milwaukee I make a special trip to Kings to get a few Gyros to take home.

This I'd say is the closest gyro stop I have around my house. It's great for a 20$ ish dinner or lunch but yet I actually think 15$ should have been the best pricing. I called in an order, as my co workers and I only have 30 min for lunch. They said it would be ready in 10-15 for 4 dishes. I get there in nearly exactly 15 minutes, and come to find out the order was wrong, so it had to be remade. The previous customer's order was also wrong. I spent nearly 25 minutes waiting for the order to be remade. I am not sure if the cook was new, or the clerk, or both, but I could see the look on the clerks face that said he probably had been going through this for a while, and they had not so minced words after my order wasn't right. The food was good, though, and I would certainly give it another chance, as that may just have been an off day.

First time going here…Shortly after ordering and paying for a Gyro Sandwich, asked to make it a combo and pay the additional cost, about $1.95. I was told I couldn’t change to a combo because I already paid, I would have to purchase my side order separately, which would have been more than the combo price. Not a good first experience. We need to give this place a shot once again. They endured through a two year long road construction which cut them off of any passing traffic. And just when that finishes a pandemic hits. So they've been held back by circumstances they cannot control for four years. What restaurant can endure that? I've been back recently a couple of times a month and my gyro meal always shines. It doesn’t look like a lot of food, but in reality the portion size was just right. Price was a little higher, but I suspect this will now be the post Covid norm. It was once something else, a large glass canopy over the eating area, but at least at lunch while we were there the shades and other things on the windows blocked most of the light.

One thing I would have liked to have seen was the shawarma cooking. It can be behind glass but a gyro, doner, or almost any other Mediterranean meat dish is better fresh, and not from a microwave. If there was a vertical spit back there they do themselves a great disservice having it completely out of view. For the price these things would have made a difference.

There is a lot of potential here. There are a number of other middle eastern grocers and restaurants in the area. The person who helped us seemed like a nice guy. But some very simple and inexpensive things like cleaning, redecorating, and showing the food is fresh would probably elevate this from “hot dog stand gyros” to the kind of place I wouldn’t mind taking business customers for a quick bite to eat. I’ll round up to 4 stars just because I think they deserve the chance to step things up.

Not a lot people talk about this place. I was beyond surprised. Not the most plentiful gyro or most expensive...the quality soooo made up for it. The gyro meat was a flavor explosion. I've been so used to that same flavor and the difference between places was how fresh the meat was or was it dried out. This had a slightly different flavor which woke up my taste buds. The meat was very moist and tender. Tomatoes and onion were extremely fresh. The tzatziki was also very good. I was extremely surprised with this experience. I set myself up expecting a mid - fair gyro. This place is far beyond that. This certainly stands up there with any other top notch gyro in our area.

Ate lunch at Kings Gyros today. Our first time there. It was recommended by a friend. Delicious gyros! The meat was tender, juicy, and very tasty. The pita bread was fresh and delicious.
