I am writing this review in hopes that the owner will see it and make some changes. My husband and I chose this restaurant for the atmosphere and knew the food was very good. We had reservations for early evening. The greeter is also the server and bartender. She was the only server up front and had 7 tables. We were given our drinks but waited a long time to put our order in. When she finally came to us, we decided to leave. Even though she told us she was caught up, we knew we would probably wait for awhile before our food would be brought to us. We watched her working hard and left her a nice tip for our drinks because we felt bad for her. There really should have been 2 if not 3 servers in front. This place gets very busy.

Wes & the Krimmer family are dedicated to perfection.
The food, hospitality, fair prices, friendly faces, Krimmer’s is your place.
We celebrated our wedding dinner / reception here and Krimmer’s knocked it out the park with literally e v e r y t h i n g.
If you are looking for a good meal& drinks, nice ambiance and an enjoyable staff, consider Krimmer’s for your next date night, or wedding dinner! Big or small, they do it all!

We came here with our kids on a Monday evening (they have a kids menu posted on their website, so while I realize it is an upscale place, we brought our VERY well behaved kids with us on what we thought would be a slow night for our anniversary). There were 3 occupied tables in the front (including ours), but there was a party in the backroom and only two workers to wait tables and make drinks, so the service was VERY slow to get started. We actually thought of walking out since it took so long for our server to get to us. We were given warm bread with two TINY squirts of butter (smaller that one butter packet combined) and I asked for more butter right off the bat, but we never got it. Our kids devoured the bread, but we were never offered more. Once our order was in, food came out pretty fast, but some things fell short. First, we got a cheese and cracker plate ($18) and were not even told what the cheeses were when it was served. If you are going to offer an artisanal cheese plate, at least tell your patrons what the cheeses are and where they are from. There were also croutons on the plate, which I thought was odd. Why not just provide a toasted baguette or crostini you could actually put cheese on? I added the croutons to my Cesar salad, where they belong. The steaks were good and cooked as requested. My kids ordered the macaroni and cheese (which was excellent) and the chicken breast. The chicken breast came alone on a plate, no sides. I thought for something offered on a kids menu it could have at least had a side (fruit, mashed potatoes, applesauce). Why even have a kids menu if you don't want to cater even a LITTLE BIT to kids or don't want them to come? We ended up splitting the mac and cheese and chicken between our kids, but I just thought the presentation was bizarre for something off a kids menu. Our bill was over $200. We won't be back. The food was good, but nothing wowed us, service was subpar due to lack of servers, and for the cost, there are WAY better places in my opinion.

They literally get their stuff from sending then just slap it on a plate and jack up the prices, I see them all the time before they open taking in food from sendiks and they literally have a menu item that was just 3 cookies with drizzle and put the tiniest pieces of fruit beside it to make it look expensive

This was one of our regular places for awhile but I've had to update this review after receiving 2 bad meals on 2 different nights and talking to the manager and basically being blown off we haven't gone back and won't at those prices every meal should be excellent and if there is a problem it should be fixed our average bill was usually 150 175 for two people that's too much for bad meals we stopped going there we go to Palmers now

Unfortunately this was not great. I spent 320 for family of 6 to eat dinner tonight. For the price this was sad experience but we just went with it since we were out celebrating. Steak overcooked ordered med rare and came med well, salmon was not like I have had it last 5 times (overcooked plus missing normal sauce on top just a small teaspoon on the side. No garnish on any plate, bread was small and dry, butter was size of half tablespoon and was for 6 people to share. Had to ask for more bread and butter twice because there wasn’t enough served for the people at the table. no lemons avail had to run to the basement, service was slow, cookies were not like they used to be either …. Idk what happened. Used to be a fan favorite. Waitress charged us gratuity for the 4 adult and 2 kids. She made $50 for not great experience. Good for her. Everyone was polite in my party as they were like it was fine…. Embarrassing when you want to take people out to nice meal. Everyone said when we left we should have went to copper dock or fox and hounds. Sad waste of money tonight, feel sad about our decision as no one likes to waste money.

First visit. All I can say is very disappointing. I had high expectations. I had one cocktail and was charged an extra $3.50 for ice. We had a crap cake appetizer and virtually no crab, just breading. I can’t recommend and I see no reason to visit again.

Way over priced for what we got!!! The food tasted great and service was good but $45 for a tiny piece of meat with no side is ridiculous. Plus you could taste the LP gas they cooked it on.
For a Saturday night at 7pm there was only 1 other group eating in there. I guess we should have realized why.

We had a party of five. We called ahead and were told come out anytime as the night was slow due to the Easter holiday. We arrived at 6:50pm and waited well over 10 mins. Nobody around…no waiting staff, no bartender, no hostess. Absolutely terrible! We walked out and went across the street to an amazing authentic Mexican restaurant called Sabor A Mezcal. Had such a great time! Will be going back to Mezcal! WILL NOT be going back to Krimmers.

Very limited beer selection.
Eight steaks, all grey, no sear, no au jus, all overcooked. Missing vibe in the atmosphere and a steep price to boot.

If you are looking for a delicious steak, I highly recommend the fillet at Krimmers. The 10oz was a great size, had a delicious char on it, and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender.
Special thanks to our server Jack for being fast with the drinks and always was checking on us. I highly recommend eating here. :)

This was a great little upscale supper club. Was invited to attend a retirement session. Was a little hard to find as the signage isn't the best but once inside it was perfect, cozy and quaint. They have a small private room in the back and a cute patio as well for those perfect outside dinning days. I had a fillet, mash potatoes and asparagus. Everything was perfect, the steak was amazing and the lemon sauce on the asparagus was perfect. While waiting for my friend I also tried the White Peach Sangria - Well all I can say about that is make room for two.

I came by before eating to see if they have bernaise sauce before deciding to go…They said yes. Lie. NOT BERNAISE… tasted more like a seafood sauce. Knors sells a packaged brand I cooked my large family for years and very easy to make… mix with butter and milk, tarragon… I spent . $70 for steak dinner for 1 . Without any bernaise. Not impressed.they lied to get me to eat there

First time at Krimmers. Small but really nice.
My wife had the Filet and I had the Ribeye. Both were very good.
Only issues in the night were I had a Brandy Old Fashion, when I asked for another I was told they were out of Brandy. Strange because we were the second customers of the night (Friday). Had one side of the snap peas and they tasted as if they
had barely been cooked. Only ate a few bites as they were not good.

Very disappointing experience last night. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation and was told they gave our table away. They wouldnt seat us at an open table because it was for another reservation. 25 minutes later we were finally seated. Drinks are overpriced. 16.50 for a bullet bourbon on the rocks. Meals were supposed to come with salad, we were told they were out of salad. Appetizer of 4 grilled shimp took 45 minutes. Main course took an additional 30 minutes. Steak plates were cold, steak was overcooked and not hot. Asparagus that I ordered didnt come with the strak. When I asked they said they were out. We asked for bread, they said they were out at first but the server came back and said the owner is going to pull some out of the freezer for us, geez thanks. Final bill was $240.00 and had to be sent back because we were charged for food we didnt receive.
On the bright side, the server was very nice and we tipped him well.
All in all, we will not be back.

1st and foremost, who runs out of bread for table service on a Saturday night when the place is VERY slow. 2nd, when have you ever had to tell your server to please remove the dirty dishes and empty glasses, twice in 1 night. 3rd what type of establishment takes orders for 5 of your most expensive steak, to only turn around and say 4 of you will have to change your order as we are OUT!! And then miracle of miracles, 1 minute later they have all the steaks. Drinks were top notch, and the bartender was super nice. It is too bad the same can not be said for the entire staff. For 1200.00 for 8 people, we will not be returning. And to force a 20 percent gratuity on me is over the top bad business. It will be a big suprise if they are open 1 year from now with this staff. Totally unacceptable!

We had another outstanding meal at Krimmer’s. It’s become our favorite place to go for a nice dinner. One of the best fine dining establishments around! The waitstaff is awesome, very attentive and friendly. Anytime we’ve dined here we always have a pleasant experience. The steaks were cooked to perfection. We love the crab cakes as an app. You can’t go wrong with any of the sides and the strawberry creme brûlée is a must! I highly recommend this place.

Cute little place. Outdoor patio was pretty sad and full of spider webs so sat inside. Crab cakes were delicious! Salad was good but small portions, mushroom soup awesome. Ordered two 10oz strip steaks medium rare and they were cooked very well done which was very disappointing. Very dry and tough to get through. Did let the server know.

We wanted to try dinner here. Their website says they are open until 9 on Mondays. We arrived at 8:10. The front door was wide open, nobody in the front room so we walked back and there was a table eating dinner in the back. We waited about 5 minutes and no employees were to be seen. Finally, I knocked on the kitchen door because I saw two guys in there. I said we were there for dinner but the guy said “sorry, we’re closing”. We went elsewhere and had a nice dinner. Maybe this is the new normal and maybe I’m old-school. If you say you’re open till 9 then that should be the deal. We won’t be going back again.

They’ve raised their prices on their Monday specials (understandable) and don’t even tell you about them unless you ask (only the regular menu was on the table). By the time we got our waiter back with the other menu, the place began to fill to capacity, including a table of 16 loud patrons next to us. The food was good, but no side (potato or even a few veggies) was served with the steak. It also seemed like the two waiters were overwhelmed. The place was packed. In fact, when I finally was able to flag ours down to get the check and dessert to go (we could no longer hear each other speak), he apologized and admitted there were a lot of angry customers. We had to wait another 15 minutes for him to return again with the receipt. I’m glad a local place is doing well, but they were clearly unprepared that evening. They accepted too many reservations, at which point you alienate patrons who expect decent service. Note: I was willing to send them an email instead of this review, but there’s no email info for feedback on their website.

Food was excellent even though small portions for price. We ate outside on patio and the table should be larger to fit everything. Also another customer was smoking out there which I think is illegal even though you are outside it is part of the restaurant eating there. We didn’t say anything because we didn’t want to ruin our evening but I would go back because food was so good.

Would prefer the owner/manager was not walking around on the phone with her newborn and that her other children were not hanging out at the table right next to where we were sat. Then watch them run back and forth after changing into their karate uniforms until she herded them out the door. Would have liked to not have dealt with that at all when it is advertised as higher end, plates are at least $40-50 to start and we were trying to enjoy a much needed evening away from our own kids and have an adult conversation. 5:00 on a Wednesday evening with over a $100 bill watching other people’s kids run around and lick sugar candy from an empty table- 🤬. Food was very good!

I had dinner with 3 friends here and I would say our experience was not amazing. The price does not match the quality. We happened to find out that the owner was the “Chef” which was surprising considering the “wedge salad” was 3 pieces of romaine lettuce. The side dishes we ordered were very good (snap peas, mashed potatoes and lobster Mac) but the rest of the food was lacking. The strawberry crème brûlée was a gross runny mess and the peanut butter cheesecake was more like a mouse. And lucky us, they had a bartender trainee making our $15 drinks with no alcohol and only filled 1/2 way. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1 is because the place has potential. They need to do better but I won’t be back anytime soon.

Very nice cozy space. Front dining area more intimate then rear dining area which was overlit and noisy. Drinks were unique and tasty. However service a little slow. Seemed to be short staffed with only two waiters for entire restaurant. Scallop appetizer was delicious. House chopped salad consists of iceberg lettuce with bacon bits, cheap. Salmon was good but extremely small portion for the price. Ribeye steak was grisly, fatty and flavorless. Would have hoped for better quality meals for price. I don’t think we will be back.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I made a reservation for my mother and I because I previously enjoyed eating here. However, when we got there tonight, everyone who worked there decided to ignore us and act as if we didn't exist for FIVE ENTIRE MINUTES. I'm sorry, but for the price of the food at this place, you would think that someone could at least acknowledge that you are waiting. I've worked in the service industry, I get it. Everyone's busy. But a smile or a nod or a wave of the hand goes a long way. All of the customers seemed to notice us standing there, but none of the employees did. Weird right? You would think that the people at these restaurants downtown would be groveling for business now that the streets are closed all summer. I walked 2 blocks to get there and then proceeded to walk 2 blocks back to my car just to go to Culver's. Because I can just as easily spend $10 on my dinner as I will $100+. Shame on you people for treating customers this way. It will not benefit you in the long run, that's all I can say. Hope this validates someone else's experience upon leaving hangry and disappointed.

We went to Krimmers for dinner and in a nutshell everything was just average. I ordered a cosmo and my husband looked at me like, the color on this isn’t right. It was fine.
We proceeded to order and it took about an hour for our appetizers to come out. I ordered the soup which was a loaded baked potato and it was watered down and bland. It then took forever to get our meal. My sister ordered a rib eye and the steak was blackened charred, she took one bite and I could tell she wasn’t happy. My nephew and I ordered strip steaks. When I saw what came out I was surprised at how thin the steaks were. My nephew ordered his rare it was medium well.
We had reservations for 6:00 and left at close to 9:00 pm. I don’t want to be rushed out of a restaurant, but also don’t want to be waiting all night for food to come out.
The prices they charge are high end steak house, but the quality wasn’t. I wouldn’t recommend it and I won’t go back.

Hostess was not very welcoming. Our waitress was accommodating and friendly. The wine was good but very little of it. The bread was plain white with little flavorite. By the time I added a salad and potato to my steak it was 65$ not counting the beer. The steak arrived medium when I ordered medium rare. My wife's chicken was tough and overcooked. The bathroom was fridged. The restaurant was well decorated and had a pleasant atmosphere. Maybe it was just a bad night as others seemed to fare way better. It was my first and last visit.

The service was a bit slow and noise level a bit strained at the end of our meal because of a large group.

regarding carols review....I was there when they begged to still come in and be seated at the bar to eat. They were told they were at full capacity and had not planned on taking any more for dining This couple was impatient waiting for food and very rude to the staff. I witnessed it sitting 4 seats down without having any connection to them or the restaurant personnel. With all the staffing shortages and other issues for all restaurants these days I recommend these people stay at home and cook if they can't be more supportive!

Food was okay but for the price I was expecting excellence. Steak was good but nothing special. Lobster Mac was the best thing we had. Everything else was so so. Service was good but slow since there was only 1 server who said she normally works by herself on Wednesday's (so not a staffing issue). We're pretty sure our creme brulee was spoiled. It was super runny and although it was a fruit creme brulee it was way more sour than it should have been. Seemed like it had been made over a week ago, we didn't eat it after a bite.

Moving my review from a 2 to a 1. As an owner you need to address people who had a horrible experience at your restaurant. I would be ashamed to run my busines in such a manner and try to make it right. Not as much as an apology or an offer to come try it again. I see you have responded in the past, but now it's as if you could care less. You have had months to make it right. You failed, it happens, now fix it... ******************************************For my first experience here, my honest opinion is... I'd never go back. Every steak on the table was cooked incorrectly. My lobster mac had zero pieces of lobster!
What ever the seasoning is they used for mac... they either accidentally dumped the whole bottle in, or the chef is lacking taste buds. The other meals ordered were flawless, but with dropping just shy of $500 including tip, everything should be... I fully understand the employee crisis our economy has put us in, but certainly they could pay a little extra and find someone (hostess took our order) who can complete a sentence and write down an order correctly. The only thing that was 100% flawless about our experience was how wonderful our waitress was. She was slammed, no help, smile on her face, and doing above and beyond. If you were to lose her, you may as well close the doors. If you're going to have 5 star pricing you may want to have 5 star service. If it wasn't for your waitress you'd be 2

I think that this dining experience was overall fantastic, the service was great the food was great, it’s a place to consider
I think that most of the negative reviews are laughable, being it’s a chef driven place with that persons style and pallet shining through, they post a menu on line with pricing look at it
If you walk out feeling this steak place is expensive look around because it’s not
It does have a good value for the price
I’d personally favor a signature cocktail drink menu to be added but it’s no means a deal breaker stop by and enjoy

This was the first time eating here. I was recommended by a friend. I was looking forward to a great evening for my daughter's birthday. I will never be returning..the bill was almost 400 before tip. We waited at least an hour for salads. The waitress was fairly new as the chef blamed her for everything when I asked to speak to the manager. He doesnt take any criticism very well and tried pushing me out of the restaurant. The steaks were mediocre at best..not made the way we ordered them..and the waitress forgot to add a steak on the ticket. So my son had to wait to get his steak as we were done eating. The crab legs were 80.00 and u literally get 2 legs. I don't think this restaurant will be in business very long.

Small but beautiful space with cozy, romantic atmosphere. Perfect for a date night or couples night out. Six of us went for a New Years Eve dinner and were impressed by how only two staff members were able to handle pretty much everything. (Special shout out to our girl Hanna who took care of us and made an excellent dirty martini!) The Clam Chowder had a hint of spice after each bite, which I enjoyed but my husband wasn't sure about. The Alaskan Red King Crab Legs (1 lb) came out to be about 2 legs, and were a tad overcooked, which was disappointing at $80/plate. While the steaks were all good, the Bernais sauce had too much lemon. The consistency was not thick and creamy. Everything else we had was very delicious however, and we would definitely go back. The Grilled Asparagus and Mashed Potatoes (skins on) were very good as sides, and the Seabass was flavorful and flaky.

If you have yet to attend this restaurant; you're in for a pleasant treat upon your first visit. My wife and I got together with several friends and had a dinner reservation for 5 people. We were imediately greeted by a lovely hostess and promptly shown to our seats where the place settings were neatly laid out. Our waitress who was very sweet and well mannered presented us with menus, warm fluffy bread, and poured each of us ice water from a glass decanter. For those of you who enjoy a drink, there are a plethora of wines and imported beers, as well as a very elegantly laid out bar with several charismatic barkeepers that have been great conversation during our visits. While taking our order the waitstaff kindly answered questions regarding the menu. We ordered the prushetta as an app, the chicken, salmon, and the dry-aged bone-in ribeye. We were presented with the main dishes after finishing the pruchetta. Each dish was plated beautifully. After dinner Wes Krimmer the chef and owner of the establishment walked out to the dining room in a clean white coat, stopping at our table for a very pleasent conversation. He took the time to give us a tour of the project under way being a wine room, a larger dining ares, and a large outdoor patio where we learned that Mr. Krimmer is not only the man preparing food but also the one responsable for the renovations you see in his establishment. Krimmers has been an exceptional addition to Down Town West Bend.

Everything was amazing! Even the butter-which is homemade daily. I tell everyone about this place! Also, if you go on a Monday you get a 3 course meal for $25!

We were given someone else’s bill and then given our correct bill after complaining. We were then changed for a different amount about $45 over the bill they gave us. We were told it was for drinks, but that was a lie because we were being charged for someone else’s tab. We complained a second time. They needed to void it and we were charged again for our correct bill. They then did not give us our credit card back until my husband complained for a third time. They claimed they gave it to us until we made them search for it. The food was decent here and we have no problem paying for a high end restaurant but with that being said we would never return. We were considering coming back Monday but after this experience we do not trust them to not scam us out of money and won’t return.

Nice place! The food was good, no complaints there. I would say that they are a bit over-priced...but it is a "fine dining" restaurant, so paying more is kind of expected. The staff was great! Very friendly and attentive.

Here because of a retirement seminar. We began with drinks, bread & butters. 15 minutes later, the food that each seminar attendant ordered arrived & 5 minutes later the fresh vegetable & lobster Mac & cheese arrived. None of the foods that were supposed to be hot were hot/steaming. Plates and bowls the food was delivered to the table in/on weren't even hot. Website reviews BRAG about the peanut butter cheesecake, but it's seems to be a whipped cheesecake, not baked. The 3 fresh berries served with it are good, but could serve a few more. The food, except for the temperature, is excellent & very tasteful. Both the meats & the fish can be cut without a sharp knife. Sauces seemed noticeably salty. Lobster Mac & cheese sauce seemed a little dry. I know this was a free meal, but that should be the reason the experience should be worth the price of admission. $$$$.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing service. Went on a Tuesday night and used a giftcard we got for Christmas. Didn't even know this place existed before getting the giftcard! The location is perfectly located in the middle of downtown and the atmosphere is quiet and intimate. The food was what we'd call "special occasion pricing"; but the quality made it worth every penny! My husband and I each had a ribeye he had a chopped salad and side of asparagus and I enjoyed a side of lobster mac and cheese (which was HOT and absolutely delicious) and a Cesar salad! They clearly care about both quality and detail because I was even impressed (odd as it seems) by the croutons which were freshly toasted! The Ribeyes were also beautifully cooked! We finished with a delicious, rich peanut butter cheesecake.
Last, our server, Carly, was very friendly, enthusiastic, quick-to-serve and helpful!
Will absolutely go back and recommend to others! A great gem hidden in downtown West Bend!

Food was fresh. Steak was cooked to the right temperature. Service staff was good and attentive. But overall the food lacked good flavor. Chopped house salad was bland. I had the 12oz dry aged bone in ribeye and it was cooked correctly (med rare) but wasn't that tender and lacked good flavor. The cream corn side was very good. All in all wasn't worth the price of admission.

The food was exquisite but not very plentiful. They asked how I wanted my duck breast cooked. I was startled because I've never been asked that before. I should have said well done because I ordered medium because it came bloody in the middle. Fowl should be completely cooked. Everything is a la carte.

The food was excellent. The bar is small but it's all about the food here. The only reason for the four stars is the service wasn't what I would expect for a nicer restaurant like this. I would only suggest that they pay a little closer attention to the tables and serve the customers at the pace the customer's set.

The steaks are excellent, the sides and appetizers are mouthwatering. The apps are perfectly cooked to your desire if you ask then to make small changes.
The cooks are very catering to your requests yet do not skimp on their professional and mouthwatering talent they can do with your food.
I am normally not a fan of mushrooms at all, yet when I had them here they melt in your mouth and are not pungent like at most restaurants.
Nothing I have tried here was a disappointment at all.
If I had to pick one thing that I found a little disappointing it would be the drinks. Between my friend and myself our drinks were served in two different sizes of glasses for the same drink. Felt a little off but the food was the main attraction and since that was not at all upsetting I would not complain really about it.
I would recommend anyone that wants a great steak made how you would like it (even black and blue) they would accommodate.

People get served before you. The waitress was friendly with other patrons but older patrons we're jusr ignored .We waited for our food even when patrons came in after us. The owners wife and kids were at the bar and didn't even worry that we we're waiting. She told them to serve our food and really after we waited she said serve the food. Don't go here if you don't think as a patron you should come first. The waitresses don't work together . Just think you want a meAl where it's good and the food is great.
