We have loved this place for so long and frequented it OFTEN. Unfortunately the last 4-5 times we've gone our food has been wrong or not nearly as good. Tonight we tried again and everything was off.. our burritos were wrong, the beans were burnt for everyone, and we were missing items. Hoping this place gets back to normal but I think we will be taking a break for a while

So, the food was fantastic. The service was great. But here's what isn't right.
There's a 3% fee on cards, which i get. But you don't see it until you get the receipt. That's not cool. Then the tip machine is a default 18%? Tipping in this country is out of hand. 5* for the food, minus one for the hidden fee.

The 4 chimmi plater was awesome! The rest of my guests all got a burrito as big as my head. We had a couple pitchers of margaritas which were made well. I own a restaurant as well since I can speak on quality. Staff were fantastic, period full stop. Were were in for a business meeting and they let us take our time in the corner of the dining room. 9/10 definitely will be back!! Thanks to all the staff.

I have placed two separate to-go orders in the last month of zarapes. I drive to stoughton to pick-up which is 10 miles and grab my order. Each of the two times, they have not included the chili poblano that is the star of the dish and today there were many mushrooms in the dish, which were never mentioned on the menu. I've called and they want me to drive back after I have driven 10 miles each way to come and get the chili.

When I called today, the phone would not go through, not letting me place the order. I tried 6 more times before I had to drive there, place the order in person, leave to purchase groceries, come back and pick-up to find out when I get home that the order is wrong. I let the worker know the phones were not working when I placed the order in person, and when I returned to pick up the order, and no one knew the phones weren't working. I won't be going back.

So this is my second time being here . Last year October because we went to a haunted house then here for dinner. My wife on both times has ordered ground beef tacos and both times the meat if it's even meat was way to salt and the texture of the beef was almost as if we were eating can meat? I ordered the chicken enchiladas green salsa and the whole thing the flavor was not what I'm used to eating when it comes to mexican food. The salsa and chips was ok. My wife ate 1 taco and I had a bite and ya too salty and wierd flavor just like my enchiladas. If I recall it was the same last yr. I gave it 2 trys but wont be going there again . Also both times we were here it was empty not sure if this is the reason why?

The food is amazing here. We recently held an event here for a family birthday party - we had 25 people. Every order was correct, every bill was correct, every drink order was correct. We've dined there 10 -15 times so far and their food, with only one exception, has been some of the best mexican food I've ever had. It's the service...really only one server in particular... that is horrible. We think he might be a manager or an owner but don't know for sure. He's always there. As I read comments from other reviewers who have complained about the service, and hear how their experiences so closely track with our own, I'm sure we're all talking about the same guy. Honestly... this one server is the only one we've ever had a problem with; all the others have been great, language barriers notwithstanding. He's rude and provides very poor service. And the one time I had an issue with the food - my usual fajita was completely and uncharacteristically bland - he said he was the one to make the sauce for it that day and it was the same as always. Like I wouldn't notce such a difference in my usual dish. He offered no apologies, no alternate dish and nothing compensatory. With as good as their food has been, they could really build a large business if they just kept this guy away from the customers.

The food here is EXCELLENT - delicious and plentiful. The staff are courteous and professional, the dining area is spacious and clean, plus, there's a full bar. Definitely worth the short drive from Madison.

If you're a fan of Aranda's restaurant in De Forest, then you'll feel right at home here as the restaurants are owned by the same family - the menu is identical.

We have eaten here dozens of times. The same dish varies from excellent to ok, which is ok with me. The online ordering is top notch.

A chance you might get FROZEN SALSA with your meal which is ok when the right cook nails your meal but when your food is just OK with no chips and salsa it is NO BUENO. Happens 50 percent of time.

Ordered Burrito California and a shrimp quesadilla. The Burrito was to hv chicken quacamole sour cream&other ingredients. It was all rice except the middle was some of the other ingredients, it was terrible.
The shrimp quesadilla was $14.99, really sounded good. It was so soggy and had a strange sauce or cheese in it was suppose to hv sour cream and quacamole . It was enough for 1/4 of the quesadilla I asked for more sour cream, charged for it. Terrible food, charged for 3 entrees when we ordered 2. Never again.

To the person who responded to my review (owner?) I did say something, so did my husband he was really upset.But the young man didn't suggest anything but the waiter did correct the 3rd entree that was on the bill.The person who checked me out I mentioned the charge of the sour cream and he was looking for someone but I couldn't wait.We're not from the area we were on vacation.Yes we would of been happy if we could of at least got something off the bill.

She took our order, someone else brought our food, and she never stopped by once. Didn't get drink refills. Had flag down someone else for more chips. Most of the other servers are fine, but some struggle with English, and you have to ask for something multiple times because you can tell they don't understand everything. I still go there though. We've been here lots of times since they opened. It's a loud building inside. Noises travel, so if there's a boisterous group there, prepare to have your conversation drowned out by theirs. Me and my wife go here a few times a month, if you dont sit by the bar you forget they have a bar. Its the normal wait time for the food. The food is authentic mexican food. It has always been good in my expirence. Staff are respectful, dude went and brot a highchair for our baby with out being asked too. There salsa is the right ammount of spicy as an apitizer. Prices are a little bit higher du to inflation but are still reasonable, 18$ for a faijita for 1 and 24$ for a fajita for 2
