I got takeout, two dishes: Blackened Brussel sprouts in a moderately spicy sauce and shrimp tacos. The tacos were bland -- the strongest taste for me was the corn of the taco. But the Brussel sprouts more than made up for it -- they were the best I've tested, rich deep flavor and just hot enough to be interesting. One out of two isn't normally that good, but this time I'd go back for the the sprouts.

Went in today for lunch and had above and beyond service. No where in the area serves a good nashville hot sandwich, so after finding out they have one on the menu here I had to try it. Ill give it a 1000/10 to be honest. Chicken had good crunch and the oil had a perfect mix of seasonings and spices. Hats off to the chef. Ill be back again very soon!

We make it a point to come in each time we are in town. This trip, we had such fantastic service, food, and drinks that we ate/drank here FOUR times in three days, lol! The Brussels are amazing, as are the smoked wings. We like the Robber's Rye. Be sure to try a cocktail. The staff comes up with recipes and they are delicious (I had the Live Lav Love). The customer service here is off the charts. Everyone was friendly and attentive, even when the place was full. Huge thanks to Addison, Tanner, Justin, and Ben for such a great time on our trip. We can't wait to visit again next Irish Fest time (or sooner!).

We dropped for dinner while staying in town. For a distillery, the (lack of) ability to customize drinks threw us off, but maybe that is normal for distillery/restaurants? For example, you could get their pre-made mule but I couldn't get a bourbon mule as the ginger is infused into the vodka.

The French fries were DELICIOUS and seasoned nicely. The fish sandwich was crispy and moist but had no seasoning. The service was good in terms of checking in with us, but it was a college student and felt like we were part of the frat. Sometimes that is ok and sometimes you want a little more upscale/refined feel.

All that said, we would stop again if/when in town.

Just stopped in to support local businesses and I will say their Rye Whiskey is pretty close to Jack Daniel’s in my estimation but be careful…bit stronger than Jack so you may need some ice enhancement! Very brief but positive interaction with the staff and very good experience overall! Staying in a local hotel at the time but had to give them a whirl! Recommended!

Stopped a couple times on our La Crosse weekend and had excellent and attentive service both times from Joseph. The Asian spiced Crispy Brussels Sprouts were terrific. The Rye Old Fashioned was in the top 5 all time for me and my wife liked her Nutty Blueberry just as much. Definitely will become a regular stop for us on future trips to La Crosse.

I am so over this place! Went a couple weeks ago (just me and my husband) and it was so busy, no one even acknowledged us for almost 10 min (just to check in or ask for a table). I get they were busy, but come on. They also just took some people’s to go orders (3 of them) while others waited to check in. I’m sure the manager or whomever it was, saw I was clearly frustrated, and said he “apologized” and gave me a free drink coupon for next time. Okay….so we go in today. Hostess takes awhile to even notice us or this other couple (seems to be a common thing here) and when she finally does, she tells us it’ll be 10 min at least bc they have one server. ONE?! How? It’s not like this place’s first year in business. I get college kids leave, but you know that every year. Plan for it. This was the last straw. We left and went elsewhere and don’t plan on returning!

Sorry I did not post sooner. We were up for the Frostbite Beer Festival which was wonderful in its own right.

We stayed at the Charmant Hotel which was just across the parking lot from Lacrosse Distilling. We had several meals there including a butternut squash pasta dish with shrimp that was phenomenal.

Want to give a shout out to Addison behind the bar who was great. And Aaron too - the tour was awesome.

I really enjoyed their barrel aged stout. It is on the thicker/more viscous side which I love. Thx for the tip on brewing this beer. Had several other beers which we also loved.

Absolutely our favorite date night location. Drinks are so good, love the different creative options for drinks. Food is tasty but a bit on the appetizer size so if you’re looking for a large meal I wouldn’t recommend it. But absolutely worth a stop in and try some drinks. I recommend any of the mixed drinks. This is always my go to place when I visit. It never let's me down and the menu is always changing, in which I love. The appetizer always seem to be the best part of the menu. The smoked wings are incredible and the Brussel sprouts are cooked to perfection. The beer choices are a hit or miss depending on the season, and for that I give it only four stars.

Food was very tasty and proper size. It had a bit more seasoning than I cared for, but I don't fault the restaurant for this. This is a personal taste that I just didn't care for. The service was outstanding! Even though I made a faux pass in my ordering of a non-local bourbon at a distillery, they ran with it and told me of a better choice that was well paired! Thank you very much for the excellent choice! The atmosphere was very holiday specific, but very college-level appropriate! I liked it a lot! Not very distillery-like, but very nicely done! I like my distillery to feature more barrels of bourbon or whatever they are distilling! 😄

Brought a date in the other day. First it was very cold inside why we almost left before we even ordered. The food came out quick but my tacos tasted like cat food like for real sole of the nastiest tacos I’ve eaten grease as all out. Food was very expensive drink also very over priced also didn’t have the drink I ordered then the drink I got instead wasn’t nothing special nothing I couldn’t have payed a 3rd of the price for at a neighborhood bar. Stopped in to try the Christmas gin. The drink was good but they added a credit card convenience fee to our bill even though we paid cash. When questioned the bartender said they add it to all bills regardless of how you pay. I'm not even sure that's legal. They did not offer to take it off either. I will not return because of it...

Busy spot. Good service for our meal. Wife and I split a burger and the reuben. Flavors on the reuben were exactly how they should be, I just wish the rye would have been grilled/toasted more as otherwise it turns into a slop fest. 1st time patron. We were waiting on 2 other people to arrive and sat at the bar. I had a whiskey old fashioned (Wisconsin) sour. I finished that and had a whiskey old fashioned (Wisconsin style) sweet! Both were awesome. My wife had a screwdriver and she liked the in house made vodka so much we brought a bottle home. The Brussel sprouts were case. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich on a Linda’s bakery bun with seasoned fries. She had the burger and fries. The food was excellent. The drinks were outstanding. Staff was very good, dining room was comfortable, but this was the first meal I’ve sent back in years.
I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with cole slaw, and my wife and I split the Papas Machas appetizer.
The appetizer was flavorless, whoever made the coleslaw has never tasted cole slaw before, and the only flavors discernible in the sandwich were fryer oil and possibly cayenne.
My kids liked their kids menu selections (cheeseburger, quesadillas, and chicken fingers) and Tyler the server was attentive and friendly.
I’m sure this is a fun place to have some drink.

Ended up sitting outside on a beautiful day. Waitress was very attentive. We all 3 had the "Yellow" beer and each of us liked it. My companions had the wings and the Cubano which they both commented to me favorably. I had the shrimp tacos which were also good. The french fries that came with were just the right amount of crispy goodness.
Parking was easy considering the downtown location. This was the middle of the week at lunch.

As a Trane employee I often have to travel for work and this trip took me to the OG HQ.
Out of all the restaurants/bars/gathering areas in the area I was the most impressed and delighted by Lacrosse distilling company.
They explained to me that they try and source as many local ingredients as they can for their courses, and they were more than happy to help xoalin little bit of the backstory on the location and their distilling plant.
If you are looking for fresh, local places to meet - I highly recommend you hit this spot up or add it to your itinerary.
I had the burger and fries as well as a 1 oz proud of their coffee whiskey.
All I can say is that I am looking forward to the day I can bring my spouse, my customers, or the next won’t trip to lacrosse to dine here again.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner at this venue. Cindy (manager) was amazing to work with, especially since we were planning from a distance. The food (fajita bar) and apps were delicious - most everyone went for seconds and a couple of guests went for thirds. The bartenders were super fun and fast, particularly when mixing the specialty cocktails. We were upstairs and the atmosphere was fun (shuffleboard) and beautiful; perfect for this type of event. The only "downside" is that it is an open-air loft space and thus the noise from the lower level bar/dining room did make it a bit difficult to hear at times. But overall the space was gorgeous and Cindy and her staff made the event run perfectly. Highly recommend consideration for a private group event.

We stopped in after receiving some BOGO drink tokens at the St. Patty's Day parade, and it didn't disappoint! They have a wide range of drink options with both house brewed tap beers and mixed drinks using their house-distilled spirits. I tried both, and both were amazing.

The atmosphere was great, and while I couldn't personally speak for the food, those in my party tried a few of the apps and entrees and said they were amazing. The only drawback is that the drinks and food were a little on the pricier side, but all were well worth it!

We came to La Crosse Distillery just for drinks before our 4 sisters reservation! The drinks were incredible and the bartenders were extremely friendly, breaking down the drinks they were making for us as we sat at the bar.

My friend and I went out for dinner to try La Crosse Distilling, myself for the first time. We got sat right away and put in our order for drinks and appetizers. The drinks were amazing and the appetizers were delightful. Our entrees, rigatoni and smokehouse platter, we’re unfortunately not as tasty. The rigatoni looked and tasted like it had been under the heat lamp for a long time, looking and tasted like microwaved leftovers. The smokehouse platter was also very dry, but the pickled onions were delicious! Our server was attentive and lovely but we were just disappointed in the mains.

The salmon appetizer is (at this time) great! The once out of this world good cubano has returned, but unfortunately, with changes that have made it taste rather disappointing. Unfortunately, the other item we favored has left the menu (queso and chips). I've not had any drink here that I loved, but most are tollerable. It's a shame because I think the alcohol made here is rather nice. It seems like they try hard to make dishes/drinks more interesting by adding ingredients you might not have considered, and they certainly do make those ingredients taste better. The original dish/drink, however, is rarely improved by the addition. I've not tried everything on this new menu, though, so I will be back to try again.the location is nice, with excellent parking, staff, and vibes.

This was a great place! I loved the atmosphere, and the service were great. My friend and I came here for drinks one night and supper the next day. I had two gin drinks - they were actually on the NA list, but I added gin to them. One was Blue's Clues, and it was great - refreshing, but not too sweet. I had the walleye tacos, and they were spectacular. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the green sauce (jalapeno cilantro something) was not too spicy with plenty of flavor. The whiskeys were very nice, as well as their honey brown ale. Our server, Madi, was excellent. It got very busy while we were there, and she was the only waitress covering both inside and out. She handled it all while still taking time to answer questions and make everyone feel welcome.

I 100% recommend the wings if you are looking to get food here. The wings were the best wings I’ve ever had. So much flavor. Also the loaded fries were absolutely outstanding. I have in the service industry for my entire life and this was by far the worst service ever! Never once checked in, took about twenty minutes to get eye contact to order food. We had previously had a disappointing fish fry in early September and I had left a bad review. After being contacted by the manager, Christian, who invited us to give them another try, we were there today 10/21/23, and it was a totally different experience. The Brillia beef tacos and the pork schnitzel were both excellent and the cheesecake tartlett to die for. As before the drinks were wonderful and so was our waitress. We will definitely be back even though it's over 3 hours away from where we live. Thank you, Christian, and please extend our thanks to your staff for helping to make this visit truly enjoyable.

Lovely distillery. I enjoyed my time on the patio. The smoked trout dip was 10/10. However they didn’t have vermouth so you can’t try their liquors in a lot of classic cocktails which is sad. I hope they acquire some vermouth soon!

The food is a little sub-par and tends to be under-seasoned. Quality ingredients, but the taste is a little lacking. They used to have this amazing trout dip, but then they deconstructed it. Plain trout with cream cheese on the side. Something you could buy at a grocery store. A real disappointment. 😢

It was okay I guess. Very nice looking olace. Service was mediocre at best. Food was nothing special, I just had a burger and fries. Fries were just the way I like them but I barely got a handful. The burger was seasoned well but I suspect it was a frozen patty, it was not very thick, you know it's going to be a thin patty when they don't ask how you want it cooked. The brioche bun was quite good though. I don't remember what my wife had, some kind of pasta, she said it was okay. I tried the buck dancer bourbon and it tasted young. You can see the potential but I won't be buying a bottle until they have some with more age. Frankly it was too expensive for the inattentive service and mediocre food.

Ordered the smoked chicken wings. Flavors were on point, the meat WAS NOT. Pretty dry, and I have never in my life paid $17 for less total food. I'm talking a pile of bones for $17 + tax. A.k.a $1.42 a wing for good flavor and non-equivalent calories. Plus, almost ate a few employee hairs with my wings 🙃... 👍🏼

Tough first impression, as I have heard so many good things about this place, and it came highly recommended, but I WOULD NOT recommend this for your satisfaction. Maybe I was just given the bottom of bag wings with some lack of care, I'm not sure. But a tough lunch at work for my satisfaction, stomach and bank account.

Stopped by for some snacks and to sample their beer. The Dog Soup Stout was delicious. It had notes of black cherry, hazelnuts, and chocolate.
I recommend the salsa and chips but upgrade to the poblano artichoke dip. The warm, flavourful dip is a nice accompaniment to their spiced tortilla chips.
Also, the smoked wings where juicy with a crisp skin.
Definitely a place to stop for a craft beer and fresh, farm to table food.

Called ahead for patio for 3 people. They said 40 min. Arrived about 40 min later and waited another 45 min, standing outside (I am on crutches btw). I was never offered a sest. Groups of 2 were seated at tables of 6 and staff would not separate tables. Food was underwhelming for the cost. Distilled gin in my gin-and-tonic was pretty bad. Our server was kind, but not very quick to return to check on us. Overall, I wouldn't visit again.

Had a great time in the restaurant. I made friends with an older couple from Prairie Du Chien. The Bloody Mary was great. Paired it with their "Yellow beer" per the bartenders recommendation. Was not disappointed :) The bartender had just gotten a sick chest tattoo and was more than happy to tell us more about it when we asked about it. The catfish tacos without the salsa was a bit bland but the salsa was the best that I have had! Come check it out and have some fun with the staff and the other patrons.

Stopped in on a chilly Saturday afternoon for a beverage and lunch. We started with a Bloody Mary and Wisconsin Bulldog which were both tasty, but our favorites were the La Crosse Mule & Cucumber Lemonade (NA).

For lunch we went with the grain bowl and Fried Chicken Sandwich. Both were delicious and would definitely get again. The grain bowl was light and fresh and the chicken sandwich was crispy and cooked to perfection.

10/10 would recommend.
