This is hands down the best Mexican food we’ve had in years! Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor and made fresh. The service was just as wonderful — friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Why the heck did we wait so long to visit here? Ughhh. Highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food and great service!

Food is the best. Chori-Pollo is the dish I order to rate Mexican Restaurants, La Familia has the best!! The amount of sides to pick from is also a happy surprise. My husband loves the esquite. If you’re in the area, you should give La Familia a try. Don’t forget to order a margarita—the blue casamigo is amazing!!

This is THE place for good, down home Mexican. La comida es muy sabrosa, mis amigos. Starting with perfect chips and a home made salsa and contingencia through the sea food, beef and cheese enchiladas, this is why franchise food doesn’t cut it. The place is a small bar, cafe, and patio with soulful salsa music on the speakers and soccer (what else) on the tv behind the bar.

If you are anywhere within 20 miles, don’t miss out.

I am exceptionally picky when it comes to Mexican food even though i love the food...it takes alot to actually put a review on here for one. However with this place I absolutely had too. The waiter was just amazing even though he said it was his first day do the job he was just really good at it the guys a natural. Now onto the food like I said I am very picky with Mexican food but this was delicious if it wasn't the best I've had it's absolutely a strong second and that's saying alot since I've been to alot of Mexican restaurants... I was sad to hear that due to staff shorages they may have to close.... PLEASE DONT! this place will be a regular for me anytime I'm in the area!

I’m a foodie and I was gobsmacked by this restaurant. Who’d a thunk a little place like this- in HILBERT WISCONSIN- would serve the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The complimentary chips, salsa, and bean dip were heavenly. The salsa was clearly very fresh. The enchiladas topped with pico and queso blanco were rich and muy sabroso, and the waitress was very attentive. Loved it- totally made my weekend. Will be back.

I have been here many times, and I can't believe I forgot to write a review.

La famila has amazing food and always have a very friendly and welcoming staff. I usually get takeout, but the times I've dined in have always been excellent.

Takeout is great, and the food still tastes delicious out of the takeout box as well.

I know some people complained about soggy bread with takeout, but unless you want it un toasted or unfried or even cold, that's what moisture and steam does to breading. The steam comes off the hot food, collects onto the top of the takeout box, and creates moisture. Actually crazy how people don't know how steam works.

All in all, I've referred friends to LA Familia, and they say it's the best mexican food around, and they live in kiel/appleton/green bay.

I love the food, I love the people, and I love how they remember my name whenever I come in. Keep rocking, and I will definitely come in soon!

Great food, wide variety of options and friendly, accommodating staff! This location has gone through a lot of changes and several owners. If you haven't been there for a while, I highly encourage you to stop in and check it out. Not only is the food delicious, but they have a great selection. I use to come here often with my coworkers but have switched jobs and don't come here as much. Let me 1st say it wasnt busy when we got there. 1st.... we ordered drinks. It took over 10 minutes to get them. They were super strong. I got the emapanadas. I didn't even eat 1. They came to the table looking orange like a dorito. They tasted nasty like they were cooked in old oil. I told the waitress this and all she did was laugh. There were gnats all over the place. When my husband went to pay... with cash.... they had to dig in their purse to get change because there is no cash register. We are definitely done coming here. We will drive the extra distance to Brillion or Appleton. To comment on the comment you responded with. The oil tasted like fish. I have had emapanadas before. Yes. I ate 1 of the 3. No. I didn't make fun of a server who didn't speak English. She laughed when I told her about our issue. Also... stating I was just there last week? No. Maybe a month ago. And we have never had and issue. I was upset the waitress laughed when I told her the issue.

If I could give this place MORE than five stars, I'd do so without hesitation. From the chips, salsa and refried beans beforehand to the meal itself, absolutely *EVERYTHING* that my wife and I tried was simply incredible. I had a chimichanga ( with queso and sour cream along with a double order of Mexican Rice, since you could pick two sides to go with the meal, which is something new for me in a Mexican restaurant ) and my wife chose the sampler plate ). On top of having amazing food, the servers ( especially Saul ) were very attentive and personable, which was icing on the cake.

I can't recommend this place enough if you have the urge for REALLY good Mexican food !!
