Tried this pie shop on a suggestion from my inlaw. They regularly visit the shop. A forty mile drive from Mundeline. The salection of slices where limited to 6 choices per day. Definitely come early for best salection. I had blueberry peach. Outstanding! Definitely will come back for pumpkin but call first to see if it's on the list for the day.

My husband and I came here when went to Lake Geneva. It's a small place, but still has some seating. There are typical fruit pies, but also pot pies, quickest, etc. We felt the pricing was a little high, but it's a tourist town and that's the way it is in tourist towns. I had a piece of coconut cream pie and it was the best I have ever had. The crust was buttery and flaky and just melted in my mouth. My husband had a piece of apple pie, he said it was good but not exceptional. We will definitely be visiting this place again, at least for me.

Oh my goodness; the Cherry Crumb pie! Absolutely delicious! I tried my friends' apple crumble pie & that also was incredible. We tried the peanut butter cookies & they were so soft. Incredible place. I went in for a gluten free pie and they had one! We were going to our cousins for Thanksgiving in Illinois and stumbled across Lake Geneva Pie Company. WOW WOW WOW The Blueberry Crumble Pie is absolutely insane. I bought lots of yummy treats from here and everything was outstanding. I purchased some slices and also a few take and bake items. I'm not sure why this place has received any good reviews. We stopped by for breakfast before spending the day in Lake Geneva. The food was marginal at best. Half the pies advertised on the website could only be purchased whole, and not per slice - the pies they did have available were heated up in the microwave. Plastic silverware and paper plates would have been just fine if the taste justified the environment and the rude old lady who was working that day. It did not however, half our food went into the garbage. This place was a total let down.

I called at 11:00 asking for a banana cream pie and was informed they had none. However, they indicated they would bake one and have it ready by 3:00. I ordered two and arrived an hour early and found the pies ready to go ( I picked up a key lime pie in addition). Without a doubt, it was the best banana cream pie I have tasted. Combined with the terrific service, this is a marvelous shop. My first visit, but I will be back soon.

First of all, I hate cake and eat pie all the time and for every birthday etc. They didn't greet at the door or make eye contact. They had pies advertised in their fridges to go that they don't make anymore. There's no complete menu either. The lady did not use gloves to cut or get my piece of pie; nobody was wearing a haircut. And I saw canned pie filling in the back. Needless to say this does not look like it is a homemade facility with some of the pie. I saw that they had French silk, so when I went to ask for it they said they don't make it anymore they have chocolate pie.. And I asked if it was pie filling or pudding like filling and she said no. Unfortunately when I went to taste it I realized that the whip cream was it was like a ready whipped can of whip cream and extremely oily and melting right away. The chocolate chips tasted fake on top. The pie itself tasted more of a vanilla almost caramel chocolate flavor.. There was no actual chocolate pie flavor of what I'm used to when I order it at any other place. The pie was not what I thought it would be, and for almost $6 a slice, I'm not Too please that I spent more money than I would getting an entire lunch somewhere. The pie tasted like vanilla pudding that had slight chocolate added in. Even the color was very light brown. The only positive is the service was friendly once at the front of the counter and it was clean inside. But I won't be back.

At the end of the day I was going to get 2 slices of blueberry....my only option was a whole pie. Ordered a pumpkin pie ahead of time to get a fresh pumpkin pie. When I arrived to pick up my pie it was taken out of the the front case where I didn’t know how long it had been there. When I opened up the box I found a pumpkin pie’s crust that had not been cooked, I will know when we eat the pie if the pie was fully cooked. I was very disappointed as I was looking forward to the Pie Company making my pie for Thanksgiving because I have had their pies in the past years and they have been wonderful. Very disappointed!

Went there yesterday to redeem a coupon for a free pie. We were going to purchase a couple of other pies as well. When we got to the counter, we had three 6 inch pies and were told that the coupon could only be used on a 9 inch. I asked again and explained that a 6 inch pie is significantly less money than a 9 inch pie and they were saving money on me using the coupon on a 6 inch. The teenage girl emphatically repeated that the coupon was ONLY for a 9 inch pie - "that's what it says on the coupon" and again refused to redeem the coupon for one of the 6 inch pies. My wife wanted the pies for her parents so she still bought them but I would have ended our visit there. It boggles my mind how a customer facing retail store can be so short sighted about customer satisfaction.

Not impressed. 1st time there. I bought a pie, a whole quiche and a pot pie. The pie filling was ok. The quiche was bland. The pot pie was made with very little processed chicken and frozen veggies. You can tell by the taste and knife cuts. The crust on all was overly dry and missing the flaky buttery flavor. No golden brown color. I asked about some of the sandwiches but no one could tell me what kind of ham or brand of Mayo used. They could not make me one how I wanted it. You have to buy it how it is in the case. Makes me wonder if they make them or have them made and brought in. All of that made it all overpriced for me.

I can't imagine giving them less than a 5 star rating! We were in Lake Geneva for a day trip on Wednesday. After our mail boat tour and lunch, we decided to check this place out.
