We stopped here for a lunch while boating. Wait staff was very busy and seemed a bit discombobulated. Once we ordered our lunch, it was a long wait to be served. One server said the kitchen only had one cook and they were backed up. On the high side...the server did bring a bowl of water for our dog. Overall, I have had a better experience here in the past.

I really liked this place. A little hard to find, nestled in a community, you could find parking, just a little difficult to find this quaint little place. They are dog friendly, so we sat outdoors on the deck that looked out over a lake. We saw a couple Eagles flying and the weather was beautiful the day we were there. The food was delicious, and the service was friendly!!

Great place to stop for a meal right on Tomahawk Lake! The outdoor seating has an amazing view, and it’s perfect if you’re boating through the Thoroughfare. The servers were super friendly, kind, and really thorough—great service all around.

A few downsides: boat gas is pricey ($6.99), the pier is a bit worn out, parking for cars can be tricky, and there’s not much indoor seating if the weather’s bad. Also, it’s closed in the winter.

Overall, a fantastic summer spot with great food, great service, and even better views. Definitely worth a stop if you’re out on the lake!

We were one of only 3 tables and the staff were more interested in their phones than any level of acceptable service. We had to interrupt them twice - once to ask for a rag to wipe off a dirty table where we sat and then for menus. Coconut shrimp were good, burger was only okay - not fresh, frozen patty, and the fries weren't hot. Probably won't be back.

The staff at Lakeside Grill is the best!!
We had a group of 11 family members, 3 of whom were under 10 years old and "starving!"
Our pleasant waitress promptly took our drink and food orders, and thanks to an excellent kitchen staff, soon returned with our DELICIOUS food.
It's an annual tradition to stop here whenever we're Up North, and we definitely will continue this!😎

Pros - The food was phenomenal (I had the Mahi Sandwich), especially the fries and sweet potato fries; the lake views are gorgeous; fun outdoor games to pass the time. Food came out fast.

Cons - Difficult to find if you're not from around the area; drinks (alcoholic) were not very good especially for the price; but most notably the staff was not very attentive and they were on their phones A LOT, also making a long straw out of many straws which is very wasteful and probably not what the owners would want their employees to be doing. Our server was sitting at the bar with her back to us and on her phone when we needed her. Didn't check on us often even though there were only 2 other tables with customers. Pretty disappointing considering that the food was delicious.

Overall - I would probably come back for the food, and hope that the staff was under better shift management.

The bartender was green but very nice. Our haystack onions sat for 10 minutes without being brought out and salads sat as well as we waited and watched everyone that was “working” on their phones and just looking at the food in the pass through. We needed a quick meal so we didn't miss our escape room reservation. This place worked out great. Really good burgers, their fries were between really like and love, somewhere between fries and potato chips for texture. We thought service might be slow, but our server was working at a hectic pace to keep up and the food came out on time. Good nachos and cheese curds too. Good place for a american grill meal. They also have lots of outdoor seating with good views. It is tucked back between some condos, so don't worry if you feeling like you're driving in the wrong place.

Our favorite spot to eat in our area. We just bought a house up here but have been coming up to Lake Tomahawk for 30+ years. Great fish tacos, BBQ sliders, appetizers like the spark plugs, and good cocktails. The only drink we didn't like was the Summa Time Lemonade. Margaritas were on point, so good. We went here last year for our anniversary, loved it, came back this year to celebrate w dinner again. Same great experience as last year, some menu changes but still awesome food and fantastic service. The employees are all so nice and cheerful.

Small bar makes a good use of limited space. I was disappointed that the menu they had was far more limited in comparison to what was advertised. There are only a few parking spots for vehicles as it's mostly an attraction for boaters. Food prices seemed a bit high but nothing out of the ordinary for a summer tourism area. Food was good aside from the pretzel bits that are advertised as fried and are most certainly microwaved instead. The ones we received were still semi cold in the center.

I was first here 30+ years ago as a kid. We like to stop here by boat whenever we're vacationing in the area, which we were last week. I'm so glad this place is still in business. I'm mixed on this one. I love anything on the lake, and this one has been a standby for years. Food was fine. Service was just ok. I think the do not enter sign on the entry to the bar sums up what's wrong with this place. They can get kind of snide and surly for things that are simple mistakes. They need to take some of the pieces that work and connect them with better overall hospitality and service that is customer focused.

We like this place but our latest visit was a little disappointing. Unfortunately it was cool and windy at the outside tables (certainly not the restaurant's fault). Wow - really enjoyed our first visit to Lakeside Grill. Beautiful boat trip between Lake Minocqua and Lake Tomahawk on the thoroughfare. Sydney took great care of us on this beautiful Northwoods day. Easy boat parking and a friendly hand at the dock. We shared the walleye fingers and pork wontons - plenty of food for two. She sipped a Tropical Chugger - malibu rum, peach/ orange mixtures with a splash of cranberry - delicious, even better sitting "lakeside". I had a cold Leinie's Summer Shandy. Hard to believe we had never visited this Northwoods gem but believe me, we'll be back - we loved our visit.

What a beautiful day on Lake Tom, Lake Minocqua and Kwaga. Awesome fish tacos and chicken bacon ranch wrap on Waters edge at Lakeside Grill. Our server Kaitlyn, a soon to be UW-LaCrosse alum, was the best - we really enjoyed our conversation, absolutely the best and most personable service we've experienced in the Northwoods. Mojito and Ice cold beer is the best at Waters edge.

Been coming to his spot since it was Klipple's Landing in the '50's through Bonneau's Harbor in the '60's ("Beer, Bait, Broads", the later definitely not PC today and there were never any "around" as it were, anyway). The place has changed hands many times over the years and was often short handed as it is these days. ( One year, decades ago, my sister and I as guests, even pitched in and served food, tips weren't even on our minds. Just service.) That's my only gripe. This sumner, they were severely short of help again and we were told that people were quitting in droves, as is happening everywhere. Also, they evidently close whenever they like when business is slow. We saw one boater do a U as he saw the folded table umbrellas (a pretty good sign.) This may also be a reason they supposedly can't retain staff. (Okay, that whenever style closing is my 2nd beef, as it were.) It's often packed though. No reservations, of course, and we had to wait 20+ plus minutes for an outside table (Only 8). The weird thing was no patrons were inside! Everybody said the AC was way too cold and its was a perfect, sunny evening anyway.
Lakeside is seasonal, meaning unusually closed by Labor Day, opening Memorial Day. In these 100 days, they've got to be as profitable as a short season allows. No Fall Hunting season traffic or Winter sports business (ice fishermen walking over for lunch? Unlikely, ever).
Oh yeah, the food. Great and varied, though the prices may seem high to some. The drinks are great! (Bahama Mama: keep 'em comin'!) Our poor harried server, Thomas, was excellent and suggested, at least half jokingly, they could use our help. Our 13 year old wish he could've worked. Some things never change. Good luck Lakeside: next year the 8 of us will come midweek instead. Love the Friday Fish Fry choices, though. Cheers.

We are here frequently over the summer via boat. In years past they had ice cream treats which were great for the kids! Unfortunately, new ownership has removed those treats. This is one of the only places, on Lake Tomahawk to grab food and drinks via boat. So it stays pretty busy when the weather is nice. Servers and staff have always been nice!

Stopped by Lakeside Grill for a bite to eat as we toured the lake on a pontoon. Dockhands guided us in and helped dock the boat. Ordered food and they delivered it to the boat. Families everywhere with an unusual number of activities keeping young kids engaged and happy. Unexpected, but very cool. Food was great. Service was exceptionally friendly. We'll be back.
