Such a good vibe in a cool spot! Get a pressed sammie, and all the drinks are good that I have tried. Also a chill venue when they have artists performing in the back.

I give up on this place. It has so much potential. Great seating, indoor and outdoor. It’s cute. But the service! I’ve never successfully made it to the counter to order. I’ve waited 20-30 minutes each time and still not gotten to the counter. It’s baffling how slow the service is. This has to be the slowest coffee shop in Madison. Only go during off hours during the week maybe?

Awesome atmosphere for the classical guitar nights. It was a bit loud for the Irish music night, not bad, just loud. They only serve drinks at night, no food, but still, I love the atmosphere.

The only things they have going for them are the atmosphere and location. Service is terrible, food is overpriced, and one of the two bathrooms has been out of order for several weeks! For a restaurant of this size, one functioning toilet is unacceptable. There is a line of 2-3 people to use it at all times.

Great food, drinks, and views. Sadly there never seems to be enough seating so people act like vultures for chairs. But if the weather is nice stop in and take a stroll through the neighborhood or just show up early

Don't come here if you think you'll be able to get on and get out. Not sure if we came during a one off day but it took 20 minutes waiting on line to order two coffees then another 10 minutes to get our coffee. The operations were terrible. Two people were making coffee and food. The person taking orders at the host stand was also running orders to people. There was another person who seemed to run an order out every once in a while. The place easily holds 100 people with two large rooms, a basement and outdoor seating. I don't know how you're supposed to be effective with one person making coffee and one person making food. The property is nice but they need to find a way to be much more efficient. Mocha was 7/10.

Least efficient set up I’ve seen. Stood in line for 30 minutes to still have 8 people in front of us. Once we got close enough we learned what the delay was. They just weren’t taking peoples orders. No one at the counter. Avoid this place unless you’re trying to waste your time and money.

To be honest, the most poor run coffee shop I’ve ever been to in my life. Avoid at all costs. Takes forever to wait in line (even though there are dozens of tables open) then they give you a number to sit down and wait. All for extremely average coffee. Not worth it at all.

This place is a hidden gem. Lakeside Street Coffee House has a little bit of everything, and that’s what makes it awesome. You walk in and there’s a quiet space if you want to study or work. Then there's another area where people are talking and hanging out — totally different vibe. You can sit outside right on the water, or head downstairs where they’ve got these cushy chairs and a chill lounge setup. The decor’s cool, a little artsy, a little quirky, just feels good to be in.
Sometimes they’ve got live music, which makes it even better. I had the pesto melt — and yeah, it was really good. Solid food, not just your typical coffee shop snacks.
Overall? Good food, great atmosphere, and enough different spaces to fit whatever mood you’re in. I’ll definitely be back.

Really spacious spot, the whole building which may not look like a lot from outside. Plenty of sitting areas for anyone looking to be within the action with everyone else or sit to the side for personal space away from everyone else. Their breakfast bowl is delicious plus their oatmeal latte on ice. Over all very great vibes and friendly staff.

This is a very unique coffee establishment that you do not see very often. The writing orders by hand on prices of paper and passion from welcoming stand to the bar staff is rarity to see. They do use square to take payment but do not utilize to create orders which square is designed for. This makes things slower by a lot.
The food came pretty tasty, specifically grilled cheese with garlic and fresh tomatoes was very good. The lattes also great.
Plenty of street parking around the place. Indoors and outdoors seating (when warm). Very simple place with no extra special ambiance. All chairs in this place are random and seem more like collection of random items than decor.

Went to this coffee shop on a nice Saturday morning. It was very nice with a super cute interior and plenty of seating but quite busy. I gave it only a 4/5 because I find it odd it closes so early on a Saturday and because the service was a little slow due to what seems like slight understaffing. All the employees were very nice however and definitely working to get everything done asap. I ordered a double shot cappuccino and it was decent, had a good amount of foam but was a little milky. My friends got a variety of breakfast sandwiches and also thought they were average. Their lattes were good however. Overall, cute place with cute vibes but not 10/10 food and drinks. Will (probably) be back.

Great vibes and drinks. Food is bit overpriced for what it is. Service (at least on weekends) is very inefficient. It seems like only one person is taking orders and delivering them, which makes both processes incredibly slow. Waited to order for 30 minutes. When my drink finally arrived, it had been sitting for a while and the foam on top had dissipated and was cold. I've seen the line get insanely long but the dining room is pretty empty - ordering process needs to change!
The place itself is very charming and cute, and a great place to hangout or work. Lattes taste great.

I've never been to this coffee house before. I was out walking my dog and wanted to get a latte. Con entering the building. I walked up to the coffee bar about 2 minutes. I was acknowledged and told to go back to the hostand to order and waited at the host stans for about 5 minutes. Finally, someone took my order. And I waited about 20 minutes for a single cup of coffee. The attitude of the staff was not pleasing. Not very friendly at all. My experience of the restaurant atmosphere was loud with screaming children everywhere. I will never set foot in this place again

Hidden gem! This coffee house backs up to the cutest beach and park! It has beautiful views of Monona Bay and lots of gorgeous artwork throughout. There are tons of seating areas between at least 4 separate rooms. Each is unique (the store front bar area, the open floor plan coffee shop, a room in between, and at least 1 seating area in the basement). There is also ample seating outdoors, although the weather kept me indoors. There is street parking for cars, and lots of bike parking. The staff is friendly. My dirty Chai tea latte was delicious!

My wife and I had an informal welcome breakfast here for friends and family. Be warned: the service is not necessarily fast, but that's not really why you go here. Food is pretty good and the coffee is excellent. WAY more room and seating than you'd expect and the staff are friendly. There's awesome outdoor seating, weather permitting, but even inside, you get a great view of the lake. Highly recommend!
