Lakewood’s events are truly unforgettable and create the most beautiful atmosphere! Nolan and I got married there this summer and the venue, food, and hospitality were all around a 10/10 experience! Phil, Kathy, P.C., and all of the lakewoods staff were so helpful and made our wedding day perfect!

But aside from weddings they host incredible events, shrimp boils, weenie roasts, bingo, etc.!

Cable is a beautiful place and the resort is beautiful as well. The gym was less than clean and the equipment was quite old, plus it has a giant window to the pool which is awkward. I stayed in the lodge and I had other family staying in one of the houses. the house was gorgeous and the lodge room had a walkout to the back lawn/lake area. I cannot wait to return with some friends.

The staff is actually very good, and we enjoyed the restaurant, which is the only reason for the second star, the lodging itself is one star. |We were in town for the Birkie, and this is actually convenient location-wise to Mt Telemark Village and the Cable parking lot for the main Birkie. Outside of that forget it.|Their cancellation policy is absurd: "If the American Birkebeiner Association cancels the races for any reason, within 60 days of arrival, any paid deposits and non-refundable booking fees will be forfeited if you choose to cancel." Anybody that's paid attention to the Birkie the last two years knows why this is a big deal. |It appears most of this place doesn't get much business in the winter. We reserved a two bed, two bath condo. We were very surprised how cold our condo was when we got there. Two reasons: 1. the seals on the doors and windows were shot, so it was exceedingly drafty, and 2. The heaters (baseboard) in the living room and the master bedroom didn't work. This combined to make the floor (vinyl tile) very cold, probably close to 40 degrees on one side of the master bedroom. Additionally, we couldn't even move the king bed out from under the drafty window, and even stuffing blankets/pillows into the window still only made about half the bed useable. The window didn't have any drapes and the bed didn't have a headboard, so no way to block the cold air coming down onto the bed. On top of this the fan and light in the master bath were on one switch and the fan made a loud squealing/grinding noise when you threw the switch. The staff came out twice that evening to no avail on getting the heaters to work, though they did provide a portable heater to help in the master bedroom. My wife slept on one side of the king bed, barricaded away from the windows and I wound up in a bunk bed in the other bedroom. We eventually found out that the electrical wiring in the living room and master bedroom was set up to be either air conditioning or heating. Apparently the wires needed to be swapped, and it had yet to happen yet this winter (keep in mind, this was mid-February). Due to the draftiness of the room we asked to be relocated. They did this somewhat reluctantly, to a one-bed, one-bath condo that was much smaller, but refused to discount the price. I met another couple the following day that was changing rooms, and had to wonder if maybe they were the next tenants put into our original room. In our replacement room the fireplace didn't work, but at least the heat did (though on at least one night it took multiple attempts (5-6 cycles) for the furnace to light causing a lot of irregular noise as we were attempting to sleep the night before the race). The two condos we were in were poorly stocked. For example, the second one for silverware had two bread knives, three forks, and only two tablespoons. At breakfast there were three small bowls available. There was no way to go more than one meal without having to wash dishes/utensils. Then there was the dishwasher. It claimed to be a Maytag QuietSeries or such and we made the mistake of setting it to run as we went to bed one night. It was louder than what your parents had back in the 1970s. Then there was the rodent problem. This was especially evident in the middle condo building. Traps set everywhere. The wax room was supposed to be the laundry room, where the floor was covered in what looked like rodent droppings. Not a surprise when I looked around to see the broken baseboard heater and torn out sheetrock along the heater and utility sink. They do a lot of business for the Birkie, maybe due to lack of other options.

We went to Lakewoods Saturday evening for dinner. We like Lakewoods dinner variety if you're looking for more then bar food. There were 7 of us and the place was packed. Our server "Mel" did a great job checking in while waiting for our dinner and kept our drinks full. Our food came out in a timely manner and hot! I had their BBQ ribs and they fell off the bone (Granpa's meatloaf is another one of my favorits). We always enjoy our dinners at Lakewoods and the servers and bartenders are great! Would highly recommend trying Lakewoods for a night out!

I had reservations last year for the snowmobile drag- races. I had put a deposit ($131) down a few months before the event. Unfortunately, it was canceled, and I was not given an option for a refund only to transfer the deposit to the next year. I called a couple weeks ago to check on my reservation and had said I would need to adjust the dates a bit. I would call back and let them know. |I called back last Wednesday (February 5th) to make the adjustments, and the lady said "your room has been cancelled" I could not believe what I just heard. I was told I would receive a call that day. I did not get a call back. I called Thursday again and was assured I would get a call back. I did not. I called Friday and asked for Ken and he had no answers for me. He said he would get back to me by Saturday. No call back. Now I'm very upset! They said they emailed me. I no longer use that email and have been slowly transferring to a new email. I have had a deposit on this room for over a year. Why was I not called to confirm before it was just cancelled and given to someone else? I told Ken that the right thing to do is to call the people that got my room and explain the situation and give the room back to us. I have been preparing for this trip for months! |The manager called back the following Monday to inform me there was nothing they could do, and they would not refund my deposit back. I'll never stay there!

Our family of 10 stayed at Lakewoods Lodge over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were all aware that this is a lodge that is older, however it offered two amenities important to us: a pool for the young kids and an attached restaurant with an excellent reputation. |Though we experienced a couple issues with our rooms on check-in the staff was quick to respond and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Every employee went way beyond to assure our family enjoyed the adventure. They even hauled wood to the outdoor firepit so we could have a Thanksgiving Day bonfire. Lakewoods Restaurant serves great food (our waitresses were attentive and service was efficient.) |This is not the Hilton...it's a Northern Wisconsin resort and it is in a beautiful location. It's all about expectations and we were more than happy with our stay.

We rented a cabin for a family vacation, cozy but had small maintenance issues. Location was nice, right on the lake. Nice size yard for having camp fires at night. Lots of activities provided by the resort, bingo, shrimp boil, water aerobics. Indoor and outdoor pool available. Nice little beach to swim in the lake. Had pickle ball which the kids loved. Close to Cable and Hayward for nice day trips.

We stayed for three days. Customer service was poor at best. Our prior arrangements, planned over six months ago, were not ready. The service was poor and the staff did not communicate well. We were told several different things by the front desk workers and spent thousands of dollars on an event, only to face many issues. The event did get done and looked decent, but no thanks to the staff.

The food and bar were great. However, one day we ordered breakfast, and after an hour of waiting, "they" claimed the orders were never placed.

Many of our guests, including us, didn't have working AC. Rooms were 85+ degrees and were neither fixed nor did we get moved to other rooms. Our first room was unusable, and the next had terrible beds with sheets that looked like twin sheets on a queen. They didn’t fit, and if you even touched the bed, the sheets shot off like a rubber band.

The door in our cabin after the "lodge" was broken, and several doors didn’t even close. When we first arrived, there was a burnt pizza still in the oven, so it clearly hadn’t been cleaned.

Fishing was good, but not much else.

Update: added photo and emailed the given address the end of August. Still no reply.

My dad and I did a quick fall trip this past weekend to the lake and we were wanting a MEAL rather than some fried food or sandwiches. So we decided to give Lakewoods a shot and all we had to say was “WOW” and “I’m STUFFED” when we were done! Dad had the white fish Marsala and I had the Tuscan Chicken Pasta - it was all YUM!

The rooms wreaked of mold and the carpet full of stains. This place is screaming for a renovation. We are pretty easy to please, this place was pretty gross though. Customer service was great.

We rented two lodge standard rooms. We were attending a wedding with our daughter, her husband and our 1 year old grandson. These rooms are so disgusting. Number one concern was the nasty black mold issue on all the walls. When we would approach the lobby desk, we were greeted by a very crabby desk attendant that told us there was no other room. She kept telling us they were full! Even though we walked by many empty rooms all weekend! The sinks smelled when you ran water, the carpet was so stained we had our special room socks we kept by the door. In our daughter’s room 433 there was a carpet tack exposed! Not a good situation with a crawler! Everything was dirty! The air conditioner unit hadn’t been maintained in what looked like forever. It gave off a musty smell and I’m sure was spraying more mold everywhere.We felt stuck due to the weddding but wanted to put this out there for anyone considering this resort. Just don’t! If they would reinvest profits into this place it could be a nice resort! If The staffs attitudes reflected the managements, no wonder it’s falling apart!

Initial contact with the Resorts Activity Director was great, got my family setup for a reunion. Booked 2 villas, and 2 cabins for July 21 - 28, 2024. Upon arrival on the 21st one of the cabins we rented was called Nam Shores (7 Bedroom Cabin). Roof was sagging, moss growing on and underneath the shingles. Cabin needed a face lift, trim around the windows were all chipped, small roof over the front door is rotting. Door handle came off in my nephew's hand. This was just the start. Bed collapsed, Bdrm 1 door wouldn't close, Bathroom on 1st floor toilet wouldn't flush, Bdrm 3 base board heater in bathroom fell off the wall, Bdrm 2 the sink in the bathroom leaked at the base (water running across the floor). Kitchen had an older but nice large gas stove (2 ovens, with a large flat grill). Was making bacon, eggs...... hood didn't work, wall exhaust fan didn't work, thank goodness the windows opened (got pretty smokey). Noticed grease running on the floor (the grease pan for overflow off the grill was full to the top).
We pulled the pan and emptied; it was obvious this had not been touched in a very long time. Power at the docks wasn't working. Maintenance gave us 4 extension cords to run from the cabin to the docks with a 3-way splitter to get power to the boats. The cabin was advertised with a private beach. The beach was approximately 20 ft wide (between the docks) with a large boulder in the middle, no sand and was full of weeds. There were two orange cones, one on each dock. They were both covering broken boards on the docks. I contacted Olivia (activity director) who I worked with to book the reunion; she ensured me that she would get back to me on getting discount on this cabin (I asked for 50% discount). Cabin cost us $5100 before taxes for the week. I received a call from the owner, she started the conversation with a storm that happened couple weeks prior.
Blamed the family that stayed the week prior. She also said that the family prior to us probably broke things and housekeeping didn't see it when they cleaned. I mentioned the orange cones on the docks covering broken boards, owner said those cones were there so we would see the docks when bringing in the boats from the lake. Had to bite my tongue. I very matter of factly stated I had picked the cones up and seen the broken boards. Midweek we noticed the boards on the one dock were fixed and they screwed down the other cone to the dock so we couldn't move it. The issues with cabin were clearly from neglect not someone else breaking things. Owner said she would send maintenance down to get everything fixed. I stated that the maintenance crew had already been there and fixed what they could, they were working on hood and exhaust issues when I left (Wednesday morning). She asked me to check and make sure things were fixed, I said I would check when I returned back from our trip to Hayward. I called Thursday morning and left a message as the activity director (Olivia) and the Owner (Kathy) were not in. I received no response from either. Called Friday, left message, went to the lodge and run into Olivia, she stated she would get with the owner and let me know the decision for a discount. Needless to say, I never got a text or phone call from anyone before we checked out on Sunday the 28th. I can't believe a business (especially of this size) just ignore their customers. But then again if you ignore your customers in this business long enough, they check out and leave. Resort gets their money, and the customer gets overcharged. Have to leave a credit card on file so they get their money no matter what. The only good thing I have to say is the maintenance crew was awesome, always there within 15 minutes after we called with issues.

Beware if you stay at this resort. What they advertise is not what you get and don't expect any type of compensation for their neglect and false advertisements.

Our family gets together every 3 years, we will return to Namakagon Lake, but it won't be at The Lakewood's.

Was at the resort for family reunion, 21 - 18 July 2024. ||The cabin I will be referring to in the following is the NAM Shores cabin/cottage. It is advertised to include 2 docks and a Private Beach. Take look at the photos, the beach is a joke. 20 feet (between the docks) with a large rock in the middle and is nothing but weeds. Each dock had an orange cone on the dock, they were covering broken boards on the docks. (See attached pics) . The pics only include one orange cone. The cone that is still there was actually screwed to the dock so we can't move it. The other cone was removed because they replaced the board.||The maintenance crew was great. Was on first name basis after two days. Not impressed with the Nam Shores from the time we drove in. Cabin lacks up keep. Roof is sagging and has moss growing underneath the shingles. The front entrance overhang is starting to sag and looks unsafe. In the first two days we had the maintenance crew there 4 times. Front door knob came off in the hand when we entered, bed in bedroom 5 broke when sat on, bedroom 1 the door wouldn't close, Bathroom on first foor - toilet was broke, Bedroom 3 the baseboard heater fell off the wall, Bedroom 2 after 1 day was leaking water at the base of the pedestal , water running on the floor, the kitchen has a large flat top grill, two large ovens (all gas). Was frying bacon, making pancakes, eggs, etc... hood fan didn't work, wall exhaust fan not working. Needless to say filled the kitchen with smoke. Amazing the windows opened. Noticed there was grease running on the floor, grease pit was overflowing, we were able to get the grease pan out and emptied it. Power at the docks wasn't working so had to run extension cords from the cabin to the docks so we could plug in the boats for charging. The cabin is in rough shape and it is obvious has been neglected for some time. Definitely not worth the $5100 for a weeks stay. I've paid less for a really nice AIRBNB. ||Because I worked very closely with the activities director to get this reunion setup. I spoke with the director and was ensured she would talk with the owners and fight for us to receive a discount on the cabin. I asked for 50% break. I did receive a call from the owner but was not given any assurance of any discount. I was told about a storm that had hit prior to our arrival and they had water leakage in the cabin, it was mentioned that the family that rented prior to our arrival had no issues (did they or did they just not report anything) and that the family before probably broke things and that house keeping didn't catch it when they cleaned. With the issues we had I doubt that was the case. The orange cones were on the docks so we could see the docks when we came in with the boats. I picked up the cones and seen the broken boards. Owner wanted to know if everything was fixed I said they were working on couple when I left. She asked if I could get back with her when everything was taken care of. Well, never spoke with her again. I left messages with the activities director and visited the lodge several times, finally got lucky enough to run into her. Activity Director said she would get back to me on what the owners had decided, she would either call or send a text. Never got a phone call never received a text. I would think the owner would have tried to get back in touch to ensure things were taken care of but nothing. || If you ignore your guests long enough they leave and they never have to be delt with. ||The lake is great when we return it will not be at Lakewoods.||Kris B

After years of coming to Lakewoods for dinner and the Easter buffet, we decided to stay a few nights to check out more of the resort. We had a great time, kids really liked having the pool and arcade games outside the room. We had a few meals and drinks in the bar/dining room, the staff was friendly, good bartenders as well. The Easter buffet, like in the past, was great too.
We will definitely stay here again.

I appreciate the tough challenges faced by small, family-run businesses and didn't intend to write any review. But our last night just pushed me over the edge.||My husband and I stayed here because he was skiing he big Birkie race last Saturday. One good thing about Lakewoods is that they are located very close to the race start (and in this year's case, the entire race loop).||But we will not stay there again. Overall, we were disappointed and irritated. ||First issue was that we were required to buy a "Birkie package" starting *Wednesday* night. We didn't really need to be there until Friday. But we came up on Thursday and just "ate" the Wednesday night stay. (More than $200, BTW). ||Probably because we were later "Birkiers" to check in, we got what I can say is not a desirable room, in the main lodge. It faces the indoor pool on the door side and shares a wall with the restaurant bar. The hotel has quiet hours from 9am to 9pm, but the pool is open from 8am to 11 pm.... so every night, we had issues with people yelling around in the pool from 9-11pm. The staff were responsive, but why not just close the pool at 9 pm and alleviate the problem?? ||Overall, the lodge is outdated and shabby -- it probably hasn't been "resort" quality in decades. Worn and torn carpet, dead plants, cobwebs, abandoned Xmas decorations, rusted metal everywhere. (The "gym" was sad, with rusty equipment, some not even working, no hand weights, junk on the floor.) ||Our room was an adequate size and had a small fridge, but the bed was old and had no support. Bathroom had uncleaned splatter on the walls and hairs in the tub. There were some ants on the dresser.||The kicker was our final night there. All I can say is, thank god my husband was running on Saturday and not Sunday, because there was a live band on Saturday night. The walls of our room were literally vibrating from the noise. We asked how long they'd be playing, and staff were blase about it, "oh, 11 or midnight." So much for "quiet hours."||YMMV. But this was a one-off stay for us.

Our room in the lodge had no heat when we checked in. After 6 hours they relocated us to a very nice one bedroom condo. The food in the restaurant on Friday night was below average. The breakfast buffet was disappointing, certainly not worth the price. Saturday evening buffet was just OK. I'd recommend trying one of the many other restaurants in the area. I wouldnt stay in the lodge again. The condos, however seem to be better maintained and in much better condition.

I just returned from a four day fishing trip on Lake Namakagon and I stayed at Lakewoods Resort Cabin 631 I believe. I had a wonderful time at Lakewoods Resort. I ate several meals in the restaurant and the food was piping hot and delicious! The cabin I stayed in was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location is great for being on the lake. We went kayaking and loved it. We stayed in the lodge. The room we had was musty and the carpet looked like it had stains. The bathroom was clean. The resort needs updating. The dining area had good food and good service, it is not fast so be patient. I had mixed feelings on how to rate this place. It has its good and bad parts.

The Lakeside Restaurant is a gem in the north woods. Ribs, steaks, seafood & comfort foods.... it's hard to decide. We really enjoyed sharing a birthday meal with good friends.
We went on a Wednesday, at 4:30pm... amazing care (and drinks) while we waited for the dinner menu at 5pm!

Very poor accommodations. We reserved a one bed condo. Extremely dated with stained and worn carpet, water stains on the ceilings, chipped paint, small air conditioner in the living room, no air in the rest of the living areas, kitchen sink wouldn’t drain, slow drain in the bathroom, garbage disposal and ice maker non working. It smelled stale and old. Couldn’t get the odor out even after opening windows. We discovered that the condos are independently owned. The resort needs to have some set parameters to maintain the integrity of the property. We specifically asked for a view of the lake which maybe would have been somewhat visible in the winter with no leaves. The manager appeared shocked of our concerns and thought it was a “recent” issue. No, it’s been this way for a long time. A 4 night stay turned into a 12 hour stay after a 6 hour drive. We departed as soon as we could and made last minute changes to our vacation plans. Very disappointing. Not even close to what is indicated on the website. To top it off the cost is over $400/night.

this was our first time at this resort. I think important to say that this might be a very good place for bigger groups but not a necessary get away for a group of two. the rooms were good-kept up, clean, neat and nice to have a sliding glass door to a cement patio. Didnt like that door was in the indoor pool area so humid entry. The front desk was not friendly and usually had to get their attention when approaching as they seldom looked up or greeted. Both pools were very well maintained. The beach area and outside was weedy and not easily accessible or well marked. Restaurant and Bar were up to date and very pleasant. The wait staff was excellent, and the food was excellent- would highly recommend. The outdoor entertainment mid week was superb. the golf course was great but very challenging and staff there was helpful. Lastly, i did have a complaint at departure and management was easy to contact and addressed promptly. Conclusion: Inconsistent.

Been snowmobiling here since the early 90's. However, the past few years have been a let down and we won't be back. Unfinished 2x4s are in front of poolside room windows as the previous wood had rotted away. Looks to be the same situation with some of the hotel room doors as well. The manager on duty (Ken) attempted to remove us from the hot tub as there were younger kids being loud in the pool, about an hour before the pool area was scheduled to close. He insisted we leave because someone was trying to get their child to sleep in their pool side hotel room...they should know when scheduling that they're next to the pool and it won't be quiet until it closes. Pretty obvious. However, seeing as there were 4-5 of us sitting in the hot tub we didn't leave until it was schedule to close, because we're grown adults behaving ourselves who also paid to use the amenities despite what other people's kids are doing. Their sauna broke a few years ago, and it's pretty apparent they have no intention of repairing it. The place needs a major facelift. We'll be looking elsewhere for future family vacations. The only reason it gets two stars is due to location, otherwise it would be one. Disappointing to see it go downhill the way it has.

The staff made you feel like you were a inconvenience for them. We ate in dining room Friday night. Waitress was not friendly , the host was yelling at us, that it was a 45 minute wait and we better not try ordering at bar. The pasta was good. Went to pay bill , waitress said go to front desk I don't do that. 2 people in our group asked for garbage bags for room the cleaning person very rude. Pool was very cloudy all weekend. We rented boat, the dock guy told us before we went out they had to tow the boat in 3 days ago. We ended up coming in 1 hour cause boat was not working well. No discount, still had to pay the full amount.

We were just there with our 3 grandchildren 14, 11 & 8. We had a fantastic time. Kids loved the pools and fishing from the dock. Had the the Amazing Shrimp Boil while listening to The Tinglers outside. Fantastic!! Best part of the trip for Grandpa & I. Workers were very friendly and helpful. Only downfall was the air conditioning in the room didn't keep up as well as we would like. But our room was right off the hot pool area and kids were in and out of the room a lot. If we would have brought a fan, that would have helped. Next Time. We will be back again. Loved it. Thank You .....

I had my 40th birthday party celebration at Lakewoods from July 19 - 23, 2023. I rented two Golf Villas 671 and 672 - they were perfect! The doors opened between the two so you could go back and forth with no problem. They were spacious and clean and everyone had their privacy. We rented a pontoon and fishing boat and they were great. The bar was a TON of fun - the food at the restaurant was fantastic. The 6 person golf cart we rented was pretty junky - but it got us from point A to point B. I couldn't have asked for a better place to hold my party. Angie and Allison were probably sick of me calling every month with new questions - but they handled me like champs.

Service was excellent. We were welcomed by a friendly hostess and our server checked on us often.
We ate outside on the patio, overlooking beautiful Lake Namakagon.
Took off 1 star due to grilled turkey sandwich being made with a thin slice of smoked turkey lunchmeat.
The nachos appetizer was delicious and plentiful.
On our previous visit to Lakewood's, two years ago, we enjoyed breakfast and it was awesome.
We will be back.

Just had an excellent breakfast at Lakewoods. Our Fisherman Breakfast was cooked to perfection....with golden brown crispy hashbrowns, large sausage patties, eggs and the best part is our waitress give me a carafe full of coffee....for just one coffee ordered. I like my coffee screaming hot and I was not disappointed.....drinking a quarter cup of HOT coffee at a time made each sip hot.
My husband commented on the wild rice toast. He said it was really good.
We are both "Foodies" and very picky.
I added a star back.

Three different rooms in our group did not have functioning air conditioning and it was really hot. The hotel rooms just need a lot of upgrades. I found out from my mom on the drive up they were painting the room I had reserved and they were not going to let us know until we showed up. Got a smaller room to avoid fumes all night. Just disappointing compared to the good experience we heard from people at the condos.

I've been snowmobiling here for many years. The rooms are clean, just not updated to the most recent times. The heater in the room was loud, so sleeping with that was a little difficult. The hot tub was too hot for our group (and others we talked to). The restaurant has been up and down the past decade or so, this year our meal cost more, but it also was much higher quality. The resort is centered around a lot of snowmobiling trails so it is a good place to stay for that.

Cabin was nice. Shower had black mold stuff coming out from behind the plastic shower walls. Staff is nice. Food is subpar. It used to be REALLY good. Last time we were here was before CV but now it’s pretty bad. Steak was horrible, didn’t even try to eat it. Breakfast food looks like microwave “warm and eat” food. Really disappointing.

Fantastic night out at Lakewood for food! We were looking for a place at the last minute and a local restaurant owner in Cable, who was closed that evening, recommend Lakewood. Most staff was good but had quite a few guests complain about rude wait staff in the restaurant. The bar and restaurant were nice but the hotel rooms were old and a few guests moved after they discovered mold In their rooms.
Had a bad experience with the wedding planning staff after our initial contact retired abruptly.
There were a few situations that were handlers great but over all I can’t recommend this venue for your events.

We had our wedding here and it started out great. The lady we met with was open and clear about everything and was all for making our dream wedding come true. She retired and we got stuck with someone who had never run weddings and did not know how to communicate. It took almost 6 weeks to get a reply on questions we had. Their staff were extremely rude to my guests, the rooms were moldy, run down and not well out together. Many of my guest had to be moved ti new rooms. Some of their smoke Detectors in the rooms did not work. They gave us one invoice the night after our wedding and then almost 3 weeks later charged us another almost thousand dollars without our permission. The owner Kathy was extremely rude and disrespectful when I confronted her about the new charges and actually hung up on me and said she would only speak to my husband. The food was cold and dry and one of their staff ate one of our cup cakes we had saved and set aside. Save your money and have your event somewhere else. You will regret using Lakewoods.

Excellent place, i was here for a friends wedding and i was a bit worried being a Golf resort that i wouldn't have anything to do, i was wrong. They had a valley ball Court, several docks and lake access for fishing or swimming, pool, hot tub, small arcade. And a nice bar to settled in and relax in the evening all in all it was a good experience.

Our family has been coming here for years and my husband had been going since he was a young child. The old decor never really bothered us but up until a few years ago, the quality has gone down. We are very sad we will not be continuing to come back. The carpets in our condo was all torn up and dirty. The biggest complaint over the years is all the hard beds! If we can’t get sleep, then we cannot enjoy ourselves. We left a day early because of it. We are very sad it won’t work out for us anymore. Please fix the indoor pool heater and turn down the hot tub heater.

We had a big group with many rooms. The rooms haven't been updated in many years. Although it looked clean, there was an "old" smell. In one room there were wrappers under the beds, one room had dirty carpet, and another the air conditioning didn't work.
Breakfast each day was excellent. Although more staff was needed in the restaurant, the young server with the long hair pulled back was kind, sweet, great with an elderly man with special needs, and did a great job with our large group.

I ordered the Super Burger at the bar and asked if it would be possible to get a pineapple slice (an option from another burger) on it, and the server looked at me like I had kicked his dog and told me “no”. I have to say it was probably the most unremarkable burger I’ve had in my life, I have dirt in my teeth from the nearly raw mushrooms that came on the burger, they served me a hockey puck on a bun, weren’t able to split a bill, and the bartender was incredibly rude.

This is one of our favorite stops and we often plan bike rides with a stop at the restaurant. ALL of their food is well prepared and good tasting. We love to stop for appetizers and a drink - our go to items are the cheese curds and walleye fingers. We take friends there for dinner and it has always been a wonderful experience. The view of the lake is beautiful and it is fun to talk out by the lake after a meal. It has been a number of years since we stayed in the hotel BUT it is an experience that we both fondly recall.
