Micky, not nicky, is an awesome and super cute bartender. She taught me to play dice again. Super pretty and super friendly she said I should post two reviews but I only have good things to say. I think she should go out with me I'd show her a good time. I think she's really pretty

Just across from our hotel. They only had pizza for food that night. Building is really cool, lots of options for drinks. Was fun just to look around at all the historical decorations.
If you're just looking for a quick drink spot, check out Milwaukees oldest.

Very cool old tavern, so many different beers on tap! The atmosphere of this place is awesome and if you also happen to be there on a nice day there’s a great outdoor patio you can watch planes takeoff and land from too! They also hand make daily food specials however I didn’t get the chance to have a bite.

We were so excited to go to this old bar. Its beautiful inside but the employees were horrible! We sat down and ordered two beverages and they tasted flat. So I asked about it and she was irritated. They never came back to see if I wanted another drink and then they tried charging me for it. Very rude! If you aren't a regular they dont seem to want your business

Probably the OLDEST tavern in Milwaukee. Incredible blend of old style and new finish. Amazing food (take from the foodie). Their pizza is equally good (if not more) compare to major itilain authentic places in New York. I personally know a bunch of places that advertise themself as "best of the best", but not evel close to these guys. Great cocktails, very wide selection of draft and bottled beer. And most important - ATMOTHPHERE. You should meet the owners! Mosts amazing people!

Blast from the past! Stopped in a week ago, didn't know they were open again! Used to go to this place in my 20's. This night they had a lady singing some good 90's songs, and the bartender was great! Didn't have to wait for a drink! Will be back!

Went in on a Friday evening, no wait for a table. Ordered the pizza and it was just awful which was surprising based on the positive reviews that I saw specifically about the pizza. The pizza was a cracker thin tavern style and the under carriage was cooked fine but the cheese was barely melted and the veggie toppings were not cooked. Service was good but overall a strong do not recommend.

***Edit: Received a response from the owner for my original review in which they state that it was a temperature setting that was wrong and that they fixed the issue. This is simply not true, I did not have the pizza re-run through the oven. I surmise that way that I received my two pizzas is actually normal because otherwise why would the waitress serve it that way. I wish I had a picture to upload, but oh well. I stand by my original review.

Ok. So I went there on a whim on a day off from my latest work trip and was I surprised!! So this place is recently reopened and all I can say is drop in as soon as you can!!! This place is fantastic! Some would say, "Hey, isn't! This just another dive bar???", and in this case they would be wrong. This is a great bar. Yes, unassuming. Yes, mainly a beer type bar. But it is a darned fun place. I did not have any food, but listening to the other patrons talk their food was awesome too!! Please just go there. Wonderful historic building and great local peeps! Just go!!!

Food was ok. Friday night was just tacos and pizza. If you ordered tacos, you could get a free margarita. Ordered tacos, but they were out. Comped our drinks for the inconvenience. Cool structure, original wood floor. Oldest tavern in WI. Cool place to go to if you ate a fan of old buildings. Otherwise it seems just like a local tavern.

Staying in a hotel near the airport and looking for a place to eat I'm glad I found Landmark 1850 Inn!

Walking in I was warmly greeted (both by the bartenders and patrons I posted up next to).

Started off with a rail old fashioned that tasted great. Followed it up with a fried shrimp basket and a glass of Ayinger Celebrator - both were great choices.

Definitely going to make this place a stop anytime I'm in the area!

10/10—no notes! As the oldest bar/tavern in Milwaukee, this place is an absolute gem. I tried Spotted Cow beer for the first time, and WOW, it was delicious! This would have been 5 stars all the way except for the fact our waitress/bartender didn't know how to make a regular drink on their menu?
Yes another waiter came over later and apologized (he might have been a mgr.) He comped us the next round and offered a fish dinner that was made for someone whe said they didn't order.
We will definitely be back.

I love this place. Haven't been there for many years and decided to try it under new ownership after seeing a story on channel 6. Prices very reasonable overall. They added several booths that match the decor perfectly. Very nice touch. The drinks were very good, the service was OK and the pizza wasn't good at all. Thin cardboard like crust and VERY light on the toppings and warm. They were short on help. I get it. As we were finishing up, 2 more servers arrived. The owner then came over later and apologized. Gave us 2 free drink tokens and offered us replacement pizza. We will give it another try in about a month.

Landmark 1850 Inn is one of the very unique old English "pub" style places left in Milwaukee. Wood decor with tin and copper, carved statue-esque accents, and cozy old world style vibe to it. Plus great owners and staff, and a general love for live and local musicians, really set it up for success. Try their pizza, it is up there among the best in town in my personal opinion, especially among pubs.

Came here with 3 others fairly late on a Saturday night and at the time there was no one else there so I told the bartender that we'd have absolutely no problem not coming in if she was trying to close up and go home, but she invited us in with open arms and insisted we stay. Her name was Selena and she was incredible; she gave us some great facts about the bars history and we talked shop with her for awhile since 2 of us are also in the bar industry. The interior of the bar was badass, the drinks and prices were great, and I can't say enough good things about Selena. She provided the perfect end to the day. Definitely making this a must-go bar anytime I'm back in Milwaukee. Thanks again for the hospitality!

This was our first time back for a Friday Fish Fry since Landmark reopened. Walking into this beautiful, historic bar, I had high hopes for a great meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The Old-fashioned was good. We got seated right away in a mostly empty restaurant, which should have been a clue. (On a Friday night in Milwaukee?) Our food came out quickly, but was disappointing. The cod sticks were okay. Maybe heated up from frozen? The cole slaw tasted old. When I asked about it, I was told it had been made that morning. Okay. It still was inedible. The "rye" bread listed on the menu looked and tasted like white bread. And only half a piece of bread? Really?! Not even a full piece of bread.
A most disappointing meal.

They were open til 2am even Sunday night! Flew in late staying at a nice Hilton hotel across the street and this place made my day. I'm on west coast time and every time I fly back to Wisconsin to visit family and friends it's dead as a doornail and everything is closed. Cool historic bar and friendly chill atmosphere. Felt chill and safe in the area as a female traveling alone. I'll certainly be back!

I wanted to really like this place. Great ambiance and friendly staff. Was staying nearby, read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Craft Beer selection was weak IMO and food options limited. Tried the cheeseburger, meat tasted freezer burned with no veggies to offset taste. Another patron at bar had nachos served without any toppings. Owner possibly manager did a good job in inquiring if food/beer was ok, but I didn’t want to “be that guy”. Sounds like staffing may be an issue as it was both bartenders and cooks second day. Because of the staff’s effort I want to try again on my next visit.

Bar looks to be fully stocked and hopefully they can check that box for patrons who aren’t looking for a beer and burger.

I absolutely love this place. It's a perfect old timey Inn and really feels like stepping back in time. The interior is beautiful with tons of original woodwork. The food is good by barfood standards. The bartenders and clientele are always friendly and love to make conversation, and the drinks are excellent and fairly priced. They are, unfortunately, suffering from some short staffing issues right now that have resulted in limited kitchen hours, but I've been told that the regular hours should be back in the fall. Also, be aware that some of the older reviews are from when this place was under different management. Ownership has changed since then.

Just got back from a trip to Spain where we had the opportunity to have dinner in the oldest restaurant in the world in Madrid (Botin) - 16th century. Tonight we had a fish fry in the oldest tavern in Milwaukee - Landmark 1850! Get the cod! They have Wisconsin Spotted Cow beer from New Glarus Brewery on tap which you can only buy in Wisconsin. I attached a photo of their latest beer offerings They also sell Crowler cans with an old black and white photo of their 1850 tavern on them and people were having theirs filled up with their favorite tap beers to go. (we did too). I have no doubt these cans are something a beer lover would want to have in their collection. The staff and management at Landmark 1850 are super friendly, genuine and will make sure you have a good time and good eats with friends or family. Special thanks to Linda Garcia for making it such a special night! We will be back!

The oldest bar in Milwaukee! Lots of original fixtures including 3 registers, the copper ceiling, and a large pot belly stove. But the best part is all of the original wood! Even the old window used by the cowboys to order is still there!

Aside from that, the food offerings are solid, yet simple and include unique burgers and other staples. Crystal was our server and she did a great job, even letting me know they have Chimay Blue on tap, which is not that common. Plenty of TVs for sports at their lengthy bar. Great looking old building inside and out. Very limited beer and food selection. Pizza, burgers and about 6 draft beers.

This is one of my favorite places to grab after work drinks and dinner with coworkers. The staff is friendly, their wings are delicious with great sauce options, and I enjoy the atmosphere.

Great local, genuine and original pub. It has been a part of Milwaukee since the cities inception. It is a must for anyone who calls Milwaukee home. Calling it a staple of the city is an understatement.

Interesting old building with plenty of wood and pressed tin accents. Comfortable atmosphere.
Perch fish fry was plenty to eat, had nice flavor and the breading was not too thick. Although they no longer have potato pancakes, the French fries are either plain crinkle-cut or straight sour cream & chives. Beer selection was good, too.
