Always plenty of cilantro and lime if you want 😋I really like the vibe of the restaurant and appreciate the lack of waste/efficiency with how they are set up and run everything (e.g. a station to serve yourself water, a place to put dirty dishes) I think it helps keep prices down and the quality of food up. Also. It’s great that I can pick up a few things from the grocery after.

My favorite thing of all, though, is getting a big order of takeout when we’re hosting an event or something, because they really know what they’re doing! The big aluminum tray full of tacos always has so many delicious extras like onions and salsas, and we can get another tray with empanadas, chimichangas, etc. Great way to go for a party or whatever. Wish I had photos - maybe I’ll grab and add some next time!

I had an outstanding experience at Las Milpas. From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly, and attentive. The food exceeded all my expectations; every dish was beautifully prepared with fresh ingredients and rich, authentic flavors.

We have eaten here a few times and try to support this place, but the food and margaritas yesterday were terrible. The street tacos were OK but the chicken fajita salad was not edible and had almost no chicken at all, just a few 1/2 teaspoon sized bites. It was a soggy bowl full of just bell pepper slices swimming in something like a cheese sauce... yuk. The margaritas on the rocks were the worst ever from like some sweet mix. For 50 dollars for a taco salad, three street tacos and two margaritas, and with the quality going downhill, we will not be coming back for awhile.

Went there for the Peruvian independence weekend menu very unsatisfactory. I know Peruvians were not cooking this. The chicharron was not crispy, It was boiled. The empanadas were made from a pastry that is not traditionally made from. I must say the Lomo Salado was decent. Please they are not many Peruvians in the Wisconsin Dells Baraboo and southern Wisconsin area. I know it’s not easy to get help. I spent over $100 plus on dishes. I was not satisfied but thank you for trying.

I’ve gone plenty of times, and have never been disappointed!! I love their street tacos especially, and they’re always super friendly and relatively fast interactions. They even now have a little portion that is a bakery, which I have yet to try anything other than the blueberry cheesecake, but the blueberry cheesecake is legitimately THE BEST cheesecake I’ve ever had. I went here for the first time today, and I am absolutely blown away! The menu is huuuge, prices are fantastic and the quality of the food is absolutely incredible. I haven’t ever had food at a restaurant taste this good. The vegetables were very fresh, staff were very nice and the inside is so fun and bright! The attached bakery hands down makes the cheesecake I’ve ever had. I’m definitely throwing this one in the date night rotation and cannot recommend this place enough; especially for vegetarians that have a hard time finding good food at other restaurants.

Went for an early dinner from friends recommendation. Six of us ordered something different and all was spectacular. Excellent sauce on the very large Las Milpas Borrito. I’ve given this place several chances, I try to buy groceries and I always get ignored while customers behind get acknowledged right away. The tacos were the best I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve came here twice. The steak and the Al pastor. Juicy as hell. I was not a fan of the rice or the salsa for the chips. I love the food. I've had it several times typically brought by another person. Today I walked my kids to the restaurant we were treated terribly. Tried to order and the woman just walked away. After several minutes she walked back and stared at me. No hello no hola no what would you like just stared. Then after waiting thirty minutes and watching several people being grated chatted with and served I walked to the counter and waited another five or so minutes to find they had just put my food off to the side and left it there. I tried several times to get help from the staff being ignored. I write literally said it's this because I'm white and another person suddenly appeared from the back gathered my food and gave it to me and said sorry for the wait and immediately walked away.... So, yeah, do recommend the food not so much the service.

When you walk in you will be in the store part where you can find all of your Mexican staples. Of note is there are some great house made moles and sauces in the fridge/freezer section worth checking out.

The restaurant has super friendly staff and excellent food. My fav is the tamales. There are different stuffings but I really like the pork. It is a deep red filling with a slight spiciness. Absolutely delicious. I have also tried the chile rellenos which were also very good. Will definitely come back again.

Absolutely loved this place! 🤗 Me and a friend came out to Baraboo (Wisconsin Dells) for a hiking trip to Devil's Lake. We stopped into this place after reading some of the reviews, and it did not disappoint.🤗 At first I personally was wondering if this was a restaurant since the main entrance is a small storefront (something that is super common in Chicago). We proceeded to walk into the store and as soon as you walk in, you can see the restaurant entrance straight ahead. Once we were in the actual restaurant the menu was pretty large. We ordered the pablano pepper fajitas and about 5 tamales, both were really good, let me rephrase, the tamales were fantastic! 😋🤤. Staff was super nice and attentive. They have bottled drinks and no fountain drinks, which honestly, no big deal (something that I have noticed is quite normal for most home-style Mexican restaurants). The color scheme and decorations gave you a feeling that you are not in an average 'Wisconsin' restaurant. I will definitely go back when we are out this way to visit the dells. Also, if you looking for a pinatas, they have those as well, in the store front part. Great people, great food! Loved it. 🤗🥳😁👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Over the last 5 years, my family and I have been meaning to try Las Milpas; we got our chance at SkyHigh Apple Orchard and their tacos were amazing. We ordered a big meal last weekend and were blown away at the quality and taste. Las Milpas has much better quality and taste than Jose's and we regret not giving our business to Las Milpas earlier!
