Hands down the most incredible staff.
Every time we come in our kids always feel very welcomed and adored. Going out with small children can be stressful, but they make it so much more comfortable.
On top of that, the food is always incredible. Huge portions always fresh. Affordable prices.
This has become my favorite restaurant in Platteville.

Overall meh. A large menu with pretty small font. First time in tried to sample a staple (chix ench supr) and found the chicken inside dry, portions conservative, and no rice or beans included. The chips at table are good, salsa is weak & soupy, but 3 kinds of hot sauce at table was nice. Other member of party got a burrito they were very happy with. Kids menu has quite a few selections. 6-8 taps of beer but 3-4 were out. Plenty of seating at tables and bar, bathrooms are outdated but not dirty, and parking was plentiful. Overall prices are a bit high if not shopping from the lunch 11-3 M-Sat Menu. No lunch menu on Sundays. $8.33 for a large tap beer, $3 soda, $4 Mex soda. Beer mug had a large glass chip on drinking side, waiter was not 100% with communication so interaction was brief. Card fees are automatically applied which becomes confusing when paying with ca$h a second print out would be nice to see how they were removed.

I have been to los Palmas many times and will continue to go. The food is great, service is swift, and the staff is friendly.

I recommend the Platteville Combo for first time goer's because of the variety of meats.

I ordered through door dash to have my order delivered, when it arrived, we had 2 rices, the cheesecake, chips and a taco salad, our order was 2 refried beans and rice, 1 taco salad that was supposed to come with refried beans and rice, fried ice cream, cheesecake, and a side of sour cream. Food is good, overall am very disappointed I was missing half of my order. I’ve always had great experiences eating in here, I wish I could’ve said the same about there preparation and delivery through door dash.

VERY BLAND!!!! Came out with family for some "authentic" mexican food and got slop! We ordered drinks first and my sister ordered a strawberry daiquiri and it had no flavor. When we ordered food, it was very confusing. Once food came out, my older sister wanted a chicken fajita and was given a fajita with shrimp in it (she has a mild shellfish allergy) and they acted surprised when they review the ticket with her. When the food was remade, it was brought out with raw pepper and 4 pieces of chicken. All the food at the table had very little seasoning and was very small for portion sizes. When my younger niece at the table asked for a refill on her lemonade, they never returned. After 15 minutes, they returned with the bill but didn't have any explanation with the breakdown of the check. When getting ready to pay we asked to have it broke down by item and ended up with a completly different price. They had mystery charges on the bill and awful service! Would NOT recomend!

The ground beef has NO seasoning! I ordered tacos with ground beef and they did not taste at all like tacos and they were greasy. My husband had some combination platter but his ground beef burritos were very bland (his words). I asked for raw onions for my tacos and got some fried onions and tomatoes....communication problem. Had some burritos, fajitas, enchiladas. All of it was great! Really enjoyed a pitcher of the house margarita too.

Update! So I wrote the above review two years ago, since that day this has been our regular Mexican spot in town. We get very consistently good and fast service here. The queso dip is your favorite white queso with nothing else. My girlfriend exclusively eats the fajita quesadilla and loves it every time.

I try to bounce around a little, the pork section is very good. Carnitas with or without bbq is . I love the burrito Banderas and their chimichangas are top notch! I got the trio of enchiladas once and I don't think it was for me.

Make sure to grab a dum dum on your way out!

I have been here many times, it's my go to Mexican Retaurant. Good food great atmosphere reasonable prices. However, my last visit was a bit off. I didn't get what I ordered, and the wife's order was missing items. The music was way too loud and had it been not so loud perhaps then waiter could have heard what I ordered. Instead, it was the item next on the menu, but I hate it anyway rather than complain. The wife told them about her issue, and it was corrected.

last night we ate here and at the end my husband paid our server Jorge on the computer scanner that each server has, he accepted my husband's card and offered a receipt, a few minutes later he came back and entered our meals and drinks again as my son had gone to register to pay , Jorge did this after he had just taken payment from the table. we find out we got charged twice, it was difficult to explain and took quite a while to get one payment backthe man running the register did not know the system and did not speak alot of english. In addition we asked for extra sour cream and were charged $2.60 for a small Cole slaw size serving. not again.

I had a large take-out order today for work and was treated amazingly while I waited for my order. Chips, salsa, and even a sample of the tomatillo salsa. It was a very smooth process and very happy with the service! Because of the large order, the host even helped me carry my items to my vehicle. Great overall experience, once again!

Let’s be honest. This absolutely is not good Mexican food. There is no seasoning aside from salt, fat, and generally way over ripe avocados. I ordered through door dash bc I normally cook, but wanted a break tonight. Door dash did what they should… picked up the food and dropped it off. Unfortunately, this restaurant left out an entire meal. So I called, only to be told I should call door dash bc the restaurant doesn’t deliver. I’m sorry, the restaurant makes the food and puts it together, the restaurant left out the meal. The manager said it was their fault, but I need to call door dash. There is a delivery fee and a tip for the driver.., so the manager wanted me to have them go do it for free or have me pay again bc the restaurant messed up? It gets better. He told me that I should pick it up and he won’t discount the cost of the door dash cost. I’m sorry, I paid in order to not pick it up or cook for a change, and the driver did their job. Then, this manager kept telling me I didn’t pay the restaurant. Whether I paid them directly or they received payment through door dash, they do not cook meals and hand them out for free to the entire community or the restaurant would not exist. They perform a service of making meals and are paid for said meals, but he kept stating I should pick it up, he wouldn’t call them, and they aren’t paid for the meals- door dash is. No… they get paid to drive, restaurant gets paid for the meals. No clue why this was so hard to understand, but I wasn’t about to feed everyone except one child. So, we picked it up. He essentially threw the food at us and ran. Lost 5 customers tonight. Unbelievable. How can u admit it was ur restaurants mistake, but then say everyone else should pay or it twice, and try to claim door dash is paid only, not them, they don’t get paid but don’t do it free? Can anyone make sense of that?

NEVER GO HERE! Okay. So the food was okay (just okay). Wouldn't go back just for that. BUT will not go back because of the price difference from the menu to the bill. I looked at the menu and added up what the price would be, and it's a good $30.00 off the price they charged us. We brought it to the attention of the manager, and he said it's posted on the door if your paying with a debit/credit card, you are charged more. I've had good experiences here before but more often then not lately it feels like it's gone downhill. Service was few and far between.
