I’ve never had a waitress as bad as the one I had at this restaurant. She never came to our table in the beginning. I had to ask one of the food runners to please see if we had a waitress?

We ordered an appetizer, soups, and Main dinner, we waited forever. Meanwhile, I got up and went to the bar to get a round of drinks for us because I knew she was not coming back. Finally, when the food did arrive appetizer, soup and main meal, all came at once! She never came back to the table to check to see if everything was OK if we needed anything. And I had to go to the hostess and ask for our check in order to leave. Very upsetting, because the food at this place is wonderful! But I don’t know if I wanna deal with super bad service!

This place got new owners a few years ago and they've turned it from a fun spot with a ton of issues to an incredibly well run bar and restaurant.

The food is incredibly good and the atmosphere cannot be beat. Sometimes I eat here 3-4x a week.

Wings, mini tacos, burgers, pizza, etc. All fantastic.

2025 update: My only beef is that they don't have a Gluten Free bun. We've been going over to Turtle Lake Tap and Grill or Annie's Burger Town instead this summer because of a family member with celiac disease. Both of those places offer a gluten free bun which means pretty much any sandwich or burger is an option.

And that bums me out because I want to eat at the Landing 3-4x a week but I lose out when voting on a restaurant.

Came here to celebrate my brothers birthday, we stood at the hostess podium for roughly 15 minutes before being acknowledged (that should have been the first sign). After finally being seated, we ordered drinks and that took 30 minutes to get. Then we ordered our food and that took 2 HOURS before we started getting it. Plus some of the food we did get, it was made incorrectly.
Please know, I’m not usually the person to ask to speak with management, but the delay and wrong orders were frustrating. Asked to speak to manager and the owners son came out to address our concerns. He approached the table looking obviously frustrated and proceeded to start getting loud and lecturing us about how they are “perfectly staffed” and that “their regulars know the wait time is 2 hours before getting them food and they don’t have a problem with it”… clearly he did not know that we are regulars and we have NEVER had this issue before the new owners/management.

Went here because of the location. Very pretty spot. However, that's where the positive impressions end. It took an hour before we got food! These beef finger sandwiches were gross. Cold and soggy with very little beef. They had obviously been sitting there for a while before our server, who was standing around behind the bar staring off into space, remembered to get them. Steak sliders were not medium, as ordered, but instead well done and tough. Wings were decent. No way will I be back. A pretty lake isn't enough to make me want to throw my money at an establishment that clearly has low standards. Oh. And the bathrooms were icky. Overflowing garbage cans and almost no toilet paper. Sheesh.

I have eaten and drank here many times throughout the seasons. They have never failed to deliver an excellent experience. The food is always great. Half price pizzas on thursdays is a must. We always love stopping here. Such a great vibe the moment you walk through their doors. Plus, the scenery in their backyard is unbeatable. Lake is right there! This was our first time here and we got there at the right time. It got pretty busy, which is a good thing. Nice decor with plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Nice view of the water. Service was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. My wife and son ordered the steak dinner. Unfortunately, the steak was fatty and veiny. They did not finish eating it. My son ordered a hamburger. He took a bite and said it tasted funny. My wife and I tried it and we agreed that it was not great. On the other hand, my older son ordered their chicken wings and he devoured them. I ordered the crusted flounder fillet and it was very good. In all, we would go back for the decor, drinks and atmosphere but we would not rush back for the food. Give it a try for yourself!

There is no host/hosting system. People grab tables while others wait two hours and get told "there's no list anymore". No one buses wheb people leave so tables seem occupied until other people sit down without seeing the host.They write down what you're wearing instead of texting. Bizarre and inefficient. Our group ordered ribeyes. Each one was very different in size. The cook was extremely liberal with the salt so much that was all you could taste. It was low quality beef and very difficult to cut with a steak knife. Only about half the ribeye was chewable. The garlic mashed potatoes had zero garlic flavor and had the taste and consistency of boxed potatoes. The dinner salads were extremely small. The vegetables were not fresh but rather directly from a frozen bag just warmed buttered and heavily salted. The service was extremely slow…… took 15 minutes to get waters to the table. Nice location but the service, and quality of food were the worst. Big waste of money. Not one single healthy appetizer option on the menu either.

Our first time finding this out of the way hidden gem and we're so glad we did! Beautiful inside and out with plenty of seating right on the lake. A cozy tiki bar where you can also get food. The service was amazing!!! Ours had only been there a few weeks and the other girl 2 days! Being in the service industry for over 30 years, I would've never guessed these girls were new. I HIGHLY recommend the Reuben rolls but we also got nachos, Italian beef and the Landing Burger (I think). It was huge! Three patties with cheese, bacon and egg. My only complaint was the bacon was very, very undercooked. This was a definite "we'll be going back again and again" place!!!!

My cousin and I met for dinner here because it was a halfway mark for us. I knew that by looking at the pictures of the selection of beers on tap, he would be thrilled by this choice. Turns out, the food was fantastic also!

We don't get together often, and we really appreciate the friendliness of the patrons as soon as we walked in the door, I mean that literally, he hadn't even let go of the door yet to let it close!

The single bartender serving everyone was efficient, friendly, and very understanding of the fact we were "new" and needed a bit longer to decide on our food choices.

Went there on a Friday night. Ordered a menu cocktail of Driftless Bourbon old fashioned. Bartender didn't think they had that even though it was on the menu, so I changed it to a Korbel. Didn't think they had that either, which is a sin in WI on a Friday night. They didn't think they had old fashion mix either, which is a Cardinal sin on a Friday night in WI. My daughter ordered a chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese and got provolone. I ordered cajun grouper and received prepared with parmesan sauce instead. The worst was that the typical grouper meal comes with garlic mashed potatoes and vegetables. On Friday's, it must come with a potato pancake and a half "dessert" type spring roll that appeared to be stuffed with apples. It turns out that it was bananas, which I am allergic to. I attempted to call the manager the next day when I felt better to politely suggest that the menu mention what is included that is being served, but never received a return call. If you go here, I suggest you just stick with half price pizzas on Thursdays and a beer: It's hard to screw that up and at least you know what you are getting. Their pizza is really good though. If you're thirsty for an old fashioned on a Friday night, then definitely visit the Lake House, as bartender Kelly has at least over a dozen prepped and he makes the best in WI.

The Landing is a Lauderdale Lakes staple. I have visited MANY times over the past 35 years and have seen many owners come and go. While I'm happy someone purchased it, and it's not condos, the service needs an upgrade. The staff just seems miserable. I don't mind the slow service, but I friendly demnor would go a LONG way! Food is ok, you're paying for the convenience after a long day on the water.
