Sooooooooo close to giving them a 5-star review. I ordered via Uber Eats and got the shrimp/mussels in medium cajun spice. It was super delicious. The amount of spice was perfect. Can't complain about a thing.

I also got the New England clam chowder, which was a little off point. The order I got was 99% broth with just a few potato chunks in it. I'm used to New England clam chowder having huge chunks of potato and medium-sized chunks of clam in it. Nothing of the sort could be found in this New England clam chowder. The broth was excellent. It tasted like a delicious New England clam chowder.

I didn't go in, as noted before. I ordered via Uber Eats. I won't dock the restaurant for service and atmosphere as a result.

Laughing and crab used to be the best seafood place two years ago during Covid I went back. I think the beginning of this year and got the seafood bag with the lobster tail and crab legs. It was nasty. Just got it today. Maybe it was a bad day when I got it earlier this year got it today. Oh my God nasty it taste like the food been warmed up in the microwave the shrimp was over cooked it had a weird taste to the food. The lobster tail did not have hardly any meat it just not the same how was two years ago? The sauce was not hot. It didn’t taste like no Cajun it just taste like straight butter I didn’t have no garlic no nothing in there just straight butter. It just ate the same. Do not waste your time. They cannot cook. There’s no love in the food anymore is whack. Do not waste your time. I’m never going back again!!!!

I had laughing crab for the first time and loved it. I went back the very next day. I am only suppose to eat crab one day out of a month but couldn't I had to have more. Better than Red lobster. The Shrimp are very big and the lobster tail but the crab legs are a little on the small side but the corn and potatoes make up for it. The season I went for was garlic butter a little on the blend side but they did tell me that when I ordered but I have heartburn and I put my own seasoning on that I like and it was very good. I love sea food and I will tell you that this is delicious. I can't finish it in one sitting. I got the 40 dollar deal so it came out to 43 dollar with a extra 5 dollar tip and I tell you it's cheaper and better than Red lobster. Enjoy!!!

I was being taken there for Father’s Day not knowing that it was take out only. It says dine-in in the description, such a disappointment. Also, just because it is take out only doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t clean up outside. The parking lot was filthy, trash was piling up right outside the door.

When to laughing crab to 6/11/25 I got the daily special remind u I always get the same thing but I don’t get lobster 🦞 becuz it’s to gummy so I asked to substitute it for another crab leg the guy tells me yeah charge me and everything for me to get home wit only two crab leg and they kept the lobster ripping peoples off and lying just to make money….then when I called about it I was told no they crabs legs are big so they only give 2 when I was clearly told yes I can substitute my lobster tail for another crab leg!!!!

I just tried to place a pick up order and I couldn’t get through the phone line. So I used my other device to call and place an order. The phone line rang with no problems. So I called back from my original number and it’s blocked. Mind you I placed an order a few months prior. My order wasn’t fully cooked. I called to speak with a manager and he said to bring the receipt in which I did the next day. I brought the receipt in like he asked. The “active” manager proceeds ask for the food in which I didn’t have. I referred back to the phone call and I stated that should have been spoken upon during the phone conversation because I was told to bring the receipt. Mind you I order a shrimp combo. The food was no more than $14. The shrimp weren’t cleaned and my eggs still had the shell on them. So I called to see what the issue was and the worker stated the manger doesn't want serve me in top of that the establishment had the workers constantly hanging up on me and put me back on the block list. Now I'm frustrated because that’s tacky and very unprofessional. So another worker goes to say WE CANT SERVE HER DUE TO HER RECEIVING A FEFUND. If that’s the reason a lot of establishments would be in jeopardy due to lack of service and food service. I will make sure every news stations, radio stations and more sees this post because that is very distasteful. I will be filling a LAW SUIT. A REFUND ISNT A LEGITIMATE REASON NOT TO SERVE A PAYING CUSTOMER!

Today I ordered a pound of crawfish and Shrimp with the head. it was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. the crawfish had mold inside of the body and the shrimp tasted like bleach. now i am suffering a terrible stomach ache because i ate a couple crawfish without noticing tge mold. ive had this before but this time it tasted very disgusting. its cheap so what can i say? you get what you pay for.

I wanted to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt from the beginning but. I should have went with my first instinct. So, I arrive and I am greeted by a cashier whom let's me know right away that my only option is take out, no option to dine In. When I inquire why??...he states that the franchise has attempted to open to the public one atleast three prior occasions but because of slow business and lack of sales the owner chose to close its doors. I appreciated the gentleman's transparency and proceeded to order as I wanted to form my own opinion of the establishment and why their revenue lacked. I ordered two soft shell crabs without the fries. I paid 15$ for my meal. I waited 15 minutes for my food to be prepared, inspected my food before leaving, it looked decent so i proceeded to leave. I decided I wanted to "dig right in" while in my car and we'll let's just say......it was HORRIBLE. I could tell that the crab had not been properly cleaned nor prepped for deep frying as the after taste left an extremely fishy taste lingering in my mouth. I then decided to dissect portions I had not eaten and discovered that the area within the crab located under the shell called "the mustard" had not been removed /cleaned from the crab and I imagines that's where the pungent bitter fish taste was coming from. I then spit my food out to pick through it to see what the deep fried coating was hiding just to discover what looked like a very limp, underseasoned, crab carcass, not appealing at all to the taste or eye. I rate this restaurant a .5 a little less than half of a one star rating. It looked like it's should have been closed down and was merely operating out of desperation to say there are employee or an employee there....I can definitely see why their revenue is little next to none and I would NEVER recommend dining at this location. A complete waste of 15$ and the nerve of them to have signs posted about NO refunds, no exceptions when you walk out with your food....I just donated to charity so I will chalk this experience up to the game.

Sucks getting delivery and your order is wrong. Ordered snow crab legs and shrimp. Never got the shrimp. But black mussels instead which weren’t properly cleaned. I went to Laughing Crab. They have the best service and very fast. In my opinion, you get very large portions for the amount you pay. I love the Ed sausage the best! The only thing is the sauce was not very flavorful. It really seems like it was only butter. My boil consisted of shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn. Yummy!!! Not bad at all. Grandmother was looking for some fish, googled fish spots and this location popped up. Staff is professional and quick! I've learnt of this place during the pandemic restrictions, they don't do dine in but it has topped all the seafood joints I can think of in terms of taste. I Ordered the catfish lunch basket. I'm going to say this. I cook catfish all the time, so i know how it taste. And develope your own opinion on the taste, but that tasted like swai....I do not like swai and im almost 100% positive that's what I've just ate. My friend recommended it. Today was my first time. And if I wouldn't have went with my gut the reviews alone had me spectical of ordering and just stick to what ik KING CRAB SHACK.
Well it was 🔥, DELICIOUS , sauce , quantity was way more then what my husband and I got for $125 at king crab shack. My 2 year old daughter even tried the shrimp and ate half my stuff lol plus corn and potatoes.
Definitely very satisfying and can't wait to go back.

I’ve eaten food from here 4 different times and I love the flavor and the sauce I get (Cajun extra hot). I only gave four stars because I feel that they could give more sausage (they give about 4-6 thinly sliced pieces in their lunch & combo specials).They could also cook their potatoes longer mine is always under cooked. However they do give a nice amount of shrimp 8-10 pieces. The shrimp are nice size not skimpy at all. Try them out you won’t be disappointed!

Update: I’ve ordered from this restaurant A LOT and I’ve always had a fairly positive experience. Good food, decent portions, nice flavor etc. Last night I ordered my normal order create your own seafood combo (shrimp & snow crab) Cajun extra spicy. This morning I woke up with a terrible stomach ache, diarrhea & vomiting. The food smelled and looked fine but obviously it wasn’t. You guys need to check your cook (idk if their cross contaminating things) check your staffs cleanliness. DO SOMETHING because sadly you guys just ruined my love for your restaurant. I was a frequent customer but that will no longer be the case.

If you are looking for the taste of good gumbo don’t go here. Their gumbo is closer to a seafood soup than the traditional Louisiana gumbo that I expected. It is milk white in color and is not made with a roux to give that distinctive gumbo taste and appearance. I was disappointed in their version of gumbo and I DO NOT recommend it. Don’t waste your $8 on this dish from the Laughing Crab, it’s truly a laugh and a disappointment if you are expecting a real gumbo.

I’m sorry, this is NOT seafood Gumbo (picture below). It had no taste of any gumbo. First of all Gumbo is made in a roux which is made from scratch. I suggest this establishment go online to Pinterest and seek out a gumbo recipe!!! Gumbo is NOT a white creamy sauce. This is disrespectful to call it gumbo. Louisiana would be sooo upset with what you made called gumbo. Never in my life I seen a white non-roux gumbo.

I have ordered a few different crab boils from LC over a period of time. I have noticed some inconsistencies with items, they have forgotten my sausages and sometimes my eggs which is okay sometime to overlook. Today they forgot my lobster tail, so I called immediately seeing I would have paid wayyy more had I not done the daily special and just building my own bag. When I called he informed me that he would check the camera, he then calls back to say he is 100% sure they loaded my boil with the lobster tail! I did question how this camera method works because I for sure did not have a lobster tail. I honestly don’t think they wanted to give it to me seeing that the lobster tail was the same price as the daily special. I pretty much got all the other contents “free” if you think about it… Low country would never!

I called because my both my orders were wrong and I was willing to drive back up there to replace my order that they messed up the lady hung up on me. do not support businesses like this there are so MANY BETTER crab leg places than this one.. trust the reviews
