I love Laine's but I usually drive thru, the music in the kitchen is way too loud and the drive thru attendant can't even hear you talking at the speaker or when you're sitting at the window!!! It's ridiculous that they have to stick their head out of the window just to halfway Hear you because of the music

I enjoy the food at Laynes and the staff is polite and efficient, but the dining room is typically dirty making the experience less than optimal. Unfortunately a dirty restaurant can really inhibit positive reviews although this is easily correctable.

Annoying to access, fries taste like the frozen you’d buy at the grocery store to cook at home and chicken is just bland. The garlic toast was not garlic, literally just a slice of bread. Cane’s is the same price with excellent service and MUCH better food.

I absolutely love the chicken fingers here. I always get 1/2 spicy with the 4 finger meal and the honey mustarrd and jalapeno ranch dips are the best!! Now they have curds too!! I was surprised when Raising Canes decided to locate across the street from Layne's in Janesville but after trying the fingers there there was nothing to worry about!! As long as Layne's keeps up the same quality hot and delicious fingers they have me wrapped around their fingers, literally, 😂.

I really love this place. It has excellent food. I hope that everyone can try it and make sure that they give it a chance because it’s such a great place. The staff is very friendly. The only thing I would ask them to do is get cushion seats so when you eat inside, it’s not painful. I intend to keep eating there as much as possible.

I was a Laynes Fan when it first came to janesville but after they got settled into their location the quality and service declined. The food is good and I prefer it over Rasing Canes but I have had multiple occasions when ordering online receiving a 3 piece tender instead of a 4 piece and missing sauces. I'd be happy to leave a 4 star review if they were more consistent but paying more money to not get what I ordered is never ideal. There is no obvious way to contact them online to leave feedback or contact them about missing product which leaves me feeling unheard and not helped.

I had the spicy club sandwich combo today. Not being cut in half, it was a bit difficult for me to eat. I decided to eat two tenders off of it, and the top slice of Texas toast, then folded the last tender into the bacon and cheese smothered piece of Texas toast. we stopped in to try it. ordered at the counter. they give you your cups and a number. they bring your food to your table. actually a place that brings out hot food. where it seems like a lot of these chain places(McDonald's, Hardee's,Burger King etc) send out Luke warm to cold food. let the food sit for a few to eat it. but the fries were perfectly done, crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. my wife got the original, I got spicy. both were good.Laynes sauce was surprisingly decent. the spicey chicken was a little spicy but not overpowering spicey. I'd recommend the place to try at least once. it's a place I will return to again when In the area. oh ya, also came with a slice of texas toast, next time im ordering extra, that stuff was good.

Super fast chicken fingers. Traveling 4th of July weekend. I pulled off the highway and so many businesses were packed. I went here because the parking lot was dead. Im glad I did. Food was out in like 2 minutes. I had the jalapeño ranch dip with it. It comes with fries that were really good as well. I recommend it if you want something good and quick. I didn't have my kids with but it would have been a perfect spot to just out, grab a quick bite and go.

Edit: I've been back to Layne's a few times and consistently happy with what I receive. They go the extra mile, each time! I've been getting the fries extra crispy which is awesome, they're perfectly salted now. The toast is still "meh." Overall, very happy to have them around!

This was my second time eating Layne's, both via drive through. The chicken was good (I got the "spicy" variety) with a thin batter, although it wasn't very crispy. Very juicy inside, but a few of the pieces could have been larger. The fries were cooked to my liking, which is slightly crispy. The toast was greased on one side but not the other. The Layne's sauce is peppery. I also tried the jalapeno ranch, both good. Overall, I'd say about four stars; five would have been for seasoned fries and more crispy chicken. Overall I enjoyed it more than the (three) times I've been to Cane's locations, and it's a tad less expensive.

Stopped here randomly on the way back from a road trip. Felt like Popeyes, but saw this and was interested. 1000 times better than Kane. The chicken is crunchy and scrumptious, the bread and fries are bombed in flavor, the dipping sauce, oh my gosh. I didn’t know they had shakes until it was too late and I already ordered. But I am desperate to take the hour and a half drive just to get some more. We need more of this everywhere. Please come to Saint Charles Illinois.

I've never been there before. I was driving through with a friend coming back from Wisconsin into Illinois and decided to stop here in Janesville. I'm glad we did. I had the chicken club sandwich that included three pieces of chicken tenders, bacon, Laynes sauce in between t slices of Texas Toast. My friend had three chicken fingers. All the chicken was served hot with tender white meat with some light breading and big pieces. Great place, fast service, clean restaurant, and the chicken was great! Good fast food restaurant without the feeling of eating fast food.

This is the first time at Laynes. We were greated when we walked through the door. Chicken fingers were great, I had the spicy. Service was fast, food was hot, restaurant was clean. Wife used the bathroom said it was clean. Watched the staff while I was eating, when they weren't tending to customers they were all cleaning tables, stocking inventory, or sweeping. We will be back!

Today was our first time trying Laynes and it's one of the best chicken places we've been to!! The chicken is so tender and juicy and the portions are good too! We got a 3 piece fingers, 2 club sandwiches (one original and one spicy), cheese curds and the laynes sauce, buttermilk ranch, and Jalapeño ranch. I have absolutely no complaints on the food. It's delicious. But I will never eat inside the restaurant again. On multiple occasions, the male kitchen staff will sit in the pass through window and stare. They will not stop. My family is always with and it's so uncomfortable I refuse to go inside now.
