Visited this spot with my family based on a coworkers suggestion. The place is pretty unique. We were a bit confused when first arrived because it seemed like it's a bar only and they had gambling machihes. We had our kiddos. It is advertised as kid friendly. I can say if maybe during the day is okay, I certainly would not bring my kids at night. Other than that the service was good and so was the food. I got the Spicy Sriracha Bacon Burger. It was so good. As you can see, they gave a great amount of oinion rings. I would definitely go back, but just without my kids.

I used to love licaris! Used to be my favorite burger in town. But then a few years ago for a couple times I felt the burgers were not good. Tasted like a frozen burger. I stopped going there. Well this past week I thought I'd give them another shot and so glad I did. I got the pull tab burger and it was delicious. All the food we got that day was great. I am so glad I tried them again. I will come back again as the food this week tasted like Licaris of the past. Great juicy hand pattied burger. The other burger were cooked just as well. Thank you !! I'm back as a customer!!

It was a great experience. Service was quick and consistent. They have a lot of delicious items on their menu, and I went for a BBQ bacon burger. This burger is huge. I had to eat a few layers of the burger before being able to attempt to eat like a normal human with a normal sized mouth, lol.

Ordered a FAF burger for pickup. Bartender was really polite while I waited for my burger! Once I got home, I saw that there wasn’t a fried egg on the burger (paid extra) and that the burger was pretty cooked (ordered medium). Patty was nearly inedible (thin, more medium well/well done, and charred) after biting into it, but the good avocado, generous cheese, and delicious ranch helped! Curly fries were delish and so was the garlic aioli I got for dipping. Bummed about the patty and especially about the missing egg. ~$18.

If I could give it negative stars I would. Went in today and ordered 2 pc cod and got it served cold. Bit into it and the fish was frozen talk about loss of appetite immediately. Must be new owners, all new staff and they are running with their heads cut off but doing nothing. No one came to check on our table after we returned the cold food. Had to flag the waiter down that was focused on serving beer at the bar more than anything. None of the old staff are there anymore and you can definitely see the difference. Food has changed, customer service is shady. Won’t be coming back after today!

Very friendly staff! The burgers were amazing. Loaded with toppings and more bacon than I have ever seen on a burger! I like that food is served on a large tray instead of craming your big burger and side into a tiny basket. You have to try the garlic cheese curds! I like that you get a fork and sharp knife. UPDATE: Still love this place!!! Called on a snowy Thursday night around 9:15pm to see if they were still serving food (we'd just come from seeing the Harlem Globetrotters at the coliseum) and Adam said they'd keep the grill going for a bit. We cruised over and had a lovely late dinner with them, complete with cocktails. Service and food were both great--we love Licari's and will definitely be back plenty of times in the coming months!!!

I got the FAF Burger on sourdough & it was good. My husband got the steak sandwich and he liked it. The food was good but very simple, like just put a patty on a bun and not any sauces or a buttered, toasted bun and a white bun vs a brioche bun. It seems like more of a place to go to drink and hang with people then get a delicious meal.

The atmosphere was a local, bar vibe and the staff was nice.

I saw a review online that said this is a great family restaurant but I disagree. The whole place felt like a bar and was filled with people age 40+. It would be uncomfortable with kids.

Had the Pull Tab Popper Burger they had for Madison Burger Week 2024, it was awesome. One of the best burgers I have ever had, and cooked perfectly medium as I asked for. The jalapeno poppers, pepper jack cheese, and Stella's Bakery spicy cheese bun made it have a little heat, but a great taste without too much heat where it was overpowering. Jennifer Street Market for the hamburger is always a great choice, very flavorful.

Stopped in for lunch, the food took over an hour. We finally asked refills on our beverages when the food came & there was something floating in the water glass so I went without. I ordered my burger medium rare and it was over cooked, no pink at all. The sourdough wasn't toasted so the burger completely fell apart. The chips were cheap bagged chips. One of my favorite places to stop for a bar burger. We also try to get here on sunny afternoons after work to enjoy their patio!
This is no Applebees or Chili's. The bar, staff, and patrons have personalities and "character". They have very nice rotating tap beer options: dark beers, IPAs, medium bodied, light, etc.
One thing is, and I hope they read this review, I wish they would move that vintage beer truck somewhere other than the patio. It takes up too much room, and also the best spots to sit in the sun! It IS cool, but put it on the roof so people can see it instead of it being in the way.

After coming from a small town this bar was a home away from home. From its small town bar set up to its friendly and down the to earth staff I felt at home. However after trying out the diverse menu my husband and I decided this place was a keeper! Arrived later on a Monday evening and it was quiet. Quickly greeted, lots of beers on tap. Met the cook Austin and had some of his recommendations. I like spicy and asked about the wings which are mostly breaded but I prefer the naked ones so tried the naked garlic butter. Very good, nice crunch (May have had a dusting on them) and tried the blue cheese sauce which is very good. Austin also recommended the spicy sriracha bacon burger. Wow. Made w a fresh beef from a local meat shop, Jenifer St Market, and dwarfed by bacon and toppings. There is an outside dining area too. Food outshined the atmosphere which was average.

It’s really too bad that we won’t be stepping foot in this bar/grill ever again as my husband and I were treated like dirt as soon as we walked in, because we do love the food. As soon as we walked in the back entrance door, we received many evil stare-downs from every single (Caucasian-dominated) person in there except the bartender. In fact the bartender didn’t even acknowledge us and we waited for several minutes to sit down and be greeted, but nothing. My husband has a rare health disorder that prevents him from walking normally, so as we entered the establishment, I had to assist him to walk or he’d fall (phsychogenic non-epileptic seizures) and be severely injured. Some of the patrons were pointing and laughing at us and some just staring so rudely. There is a possibility that others believed him, myself or both of us to be intoxicated because of that but neither of us were. We felt mistreated, unwelcomed, unwanted and most of all, violated. I also feel like I was profiled due to my Hispanic race. I’ve never felt such horrible energy entering an establishment like this one before. We will never return and if we want to order food, we will order via Uber Eats, or through another delivery platform.

We picked this place because of a local coupon. We'd never been there before, so it was kind of a whim. We both ordered the walleye and shrimp meal, as well as the loaded tater tots. My husband loved the tots; they were okay to me. The fish baskets were the stars of the meal. The fried shrimp were wonderful, fried perfectly. And I'm not a fish fan, and I'm not sure why I ordered it, but it was excellent. But I have to say, my most favorite part of the meal was their coleslaw! It had a zing that was surprising and so good! I want some of this slaw for every meal! Our first server was okay, but the second woman who came out was friendlier. It's just a neighborhood place, but I wish I lived in that neighborhood!
