Location was excellent. Beds uncomfortable. Paid $180 a night and slept on the couch! Beds were like a trampoline and mushy! Food good in restaurant, but they didn't have enough help. Taking order and waiting for food took forever.

My wife and I have been staying at the Lighthouse Inn for several years. It a clean, friendly inn with clean, quiet rooms, good bar with view of Lake Michigan, and good food. The complimentary breakfast gives you a choice of meals OR a discount on a higher priced breakfast. I had a two egg omlet with toast and drink. If that isn't enough, the Lighthouse Inn is on Lake Michigan, 30 minutes from Green Bay, 45 minutes to Door County, and 5 minutes to Manitowoc with is many pubs, great dining, maritime museum, tour of a submarine, and live music. You can't go wrong staying at the Lighthouse Inn.

Great place to stay with spectacular views out back and a great restaurant attached to this place... i was there for fishing but they have multiple beach locations very near if thats what you like, as well as a bike and walking path right out in front of the place also.

We stopped to eat as we were biking the Mariner bike trail. The bartender, Scott, was very attentive! We sat outside, so he was our wait staff too! The food was just ok. I wouldn’t stop again because the eating area outside was filthy dirty and even though the view was great, the unkempt area was disturbing.

Beautiful views from the lake rooms! It is quaint and memorable. From the iron gates closing the reception area off to the quilted bedspread in each room. The restaurant area has a wall of windows overlooking the Beautiful lake! Our room was always clean and the staff very friendly! The shower head, sink and toilet were....short! But worked well! We really enjoyed our stay!

This place is absolutely the worst place to stay in two rivers. Go elsewhere save your money and go somewhere where the desk agent doesn't hang up on you.

We spent 2 nights at the Lighthouse Inn and enjoyed our stay there.|The guest rooms are large, there is a convenient dining room on sight and a delicious made to order breakfast was included. The staff was so nice, too.|It’s a convenient location for a walk along the beach or a walk to town or a bike ride along the lake.||The bathroom and furniture were dated but the rooms are spacious and included a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave. The beds and pillows were comfortable. My only suggestion would be to add grab bars in the bathroom for safety. I could take one star off for the dated decor, but it didn't really bother me that much, but it might bother others.

The furniture in the room looks like it's original from the '60s. That being said, it is comfortable, and with the alarm clock and hub on the desk, there are plenty of outlets including charging options.|Breakfast is in the on-premise restaurant. You get a voucher. You can choose from a half dozen options, or just six dollars off anything on the menu. The food was good.|Note when you book that rooms facing the lake are slightly higher, so if you want a lake view, book a "lakeside" room. A "parkside" room overlooks the parking lot.

The only major problem i had was during check in. They had me on the wrong dates when their conformation email had the right date. How is this possible? Then I had to get downgraded room because the room i wanted was not available. Better than sleeping in my car, but scheduling has to get better.

Made my reservation ahead of time and requested an upper floor with lake view. Was told I would get a confirmation email. Never received one.(yes, I checked my spam folder). Since no confirmation email, I called to confirm my reservation. She confirmed, yes, upper floor with lake view. Arrive at the hotel to check in and they have us on the first floor and by now the hotel was almost booked full. Gave us a room on the upper floor with not much of a lake view. More of a view of everyone out on picnic tables eating and talking. NOT WHAT I RESERVED. Booked this hotel specifically for the lake view. Extremely disappointed and feel I should get some sort of compensation. Again, very disappointing that they made errors in their end and didn't even apologize for much less make right.

Terrible experience. Last room in the area so we booked it. Only had a single king bed. I was traveling with my 4 kids. Was told we couldn’t have the whole family in the room.

We’ve done this 1000 times. Girls are little. They sleep on couch or recliner. No hotel has ever had a concern. They appreciated our business. Not these guys.

Front desk clerk actively seeking us out, kicking the family out of the pool area. Saturday night, place was empty. No one else in pool. She asked the family what room they were in…they told the clerk the number…she immediately said, β€œYou can’t swim here. Get back to the room. You only have 3 people registered.” Totally ruined my wife’s 50th birthday.

To avoid the harassment, I asked if there were any other rooms available. She said no, sold out.

The place was a ghost town. 9 cars in the parking lot. They stated sold out…but it was likely due to a lack of cleaning staff and no rooms cleaned.

Besides the anti-family abuse, the place was a dump. Stairwells stunk like damp mold. Same with the rooms. One elevator that looked like it was straight out of the
70 β€˜s. Pictures online looked great… in person, it’s a nightmare. Seeing the lake from the window was pretty, but that’s the end of it.

Since she told the family 3 people were registered, we let my 16 year old go down with the 11 & 8 year old. Final straw was the front desk clerk telling by three young kids she was calling the police on us. Scared my 8 year old so bad she cried in the room. We packed our stuff and left just an hour after checkin. Not worth the hassle. All my kids were doing was watching the window for the police.

What was likely a beautiful destination in the 60’s is now a musty mess. Signs are all faded, grounds are in disrepair, and the staff doesn’t realize the empty parking lot and lack of upkeep will ultimately end in bankruptcy. Hope they straighten themselves out.

When I walked up to the place and saw overgrown weeds and faded signs, I was worried. When I walked in, the rich smell of mold and dampness was overwhelming. We got to our room and it was even worse. The room smelled like a damp basement and the entire room looked like it was out of the 60s. It felt like I was in The Shining. The beach access was dangerous with no real good steps or paths since a three foot drop followed the first three rocks used as steps. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

This hotel has the most beautiful views. The front desk ladies are always so nice and helpful. Housekeeping does a great job. My only thing is I don't understand why they don't put some money into the landscaping and into the rooms. Needs to be an ice machine on the first floor. They need to get the shower curtain that is rounded out, so you don't feel the shower curtain sticking to you. Although the bed spreads were okay. They really need new ones. But we were paying for the view. The restaurant had good food and awesome coffee. They even had my french vanilla creamer.

I have to say I was a little worried about staying at this hotel due to the pictures looking pretty outdated. However we were pleasantly surprised! The hotel was classic, quaint and really grew on us. The rooms were standard, nothing fancy but very clean. And that’s what matters. The beds were extremely comfortable and we got good sleep here each night. The view of Lake Michigan was beautiful and the trail nearby was really nice. I would definitely stay at and recommend this hotel to everyone passing through.

This hotel is one of those places that the first impression is a bit lacking, but once you're settled in, the place takes on a charm that ease your concerns.
The rooms are generally dated but clean. We noticed some recent improvements in the room, but more could be done.
Then there is the view! You are about 25 feet from the lake if in a lakeside room. The window opens so that you can fall asleep to the sound of waves. Very excellent indeed.
The Mariner Trail is right outside the door, and the in house restaurant is excellent as well.
Overall we would stay here again, but would like to see some room improvements.
My wife and I agree that the mattresses were extremely comfortable. We slept very well. Also our room A/C / heater worked very well and was quiet. Something that's hard to find.

We just needed a place to clean up! We were in town for a week and decided to camp the first few nights, then end our adventure in style at Lighthouse Inn as part of our event. We arrived later in the evening on 6/20 around 8pm for check-in after a long, hot day working our event. Upon check-in, we were informed we couldn't check in without the credit card used to make the reservation. No big deal, been there before, and our friend was on her way. What I cannot get past, is the rudeness of the lady attending to us. Never once did she look at us or make eye contact. In fact, she was tending to another matter while we were just trying to figure out how to get into our room. Her tone made it seem like we were interrupting something much more important than us getting a much needed shower. Which, brings us to our 2-star experience. Once we were finally able to check in, we discover that our shower was broken and could not get any cold water. New lady at the desk, Holly. Super friendly, but could not offer any help til, maybe morning. There is NO WAY we could wait until morning for a shower. I asked "Do you have a screwdriver?" No! "Do you have a pliers?" I don't think so! "May we please use the shower in the pool area?" I can't let you in there! After an hour and a half (it's approaching midnight) she finds a channel lock and we were able to fix it ourselves and take a shower. I am pissed off about the service we received. We were more important at the $25/night campground we were in than what we experienced here. To end on a good note, Anna in the restaurant is FABULOUS! Five stars to Anna for salvaging our weekend!! To Jim, measure up!!

AVOID this hotel, they are crooks. Checked in with my confirmation THEY sent me via email. Lady told me I didn’t have a reservation and they had no rooms. I was in town for a marathon. We had to search for another room, and ended up having to pay $300 for a room. Then today they charged my card for the room they told me I didn’t have. Called them and they told me I never showed up. I have proof I was there but the lady refused to help me. They have not heard the last of me. I will get my money back.

This place was a truly unexpected gem a close jaunt from the hubbub of Chicagoland or the greater Milwaukee and Madison areas. I was truly in awe at the beaches and the view, and going right before Memorial Day was treated to the pelican migration. The free breakfast is great and the restaurant is a good value. Visit the Art and Martime Museums and enjoy the local coffee shop. The rooms are a bit basic, but it's more than made up for by the view and location.

Lighthouse Inn banquet facility was our venue for a celebration of life for over 150 people. The event included a social hour, sit down meal, program and after meal socializing. Candice, our event manager and her staff were exceptional and very friendly. Candice was extremely prompt during the planning of the event details and very accommodating for my special requests. I am a detail nut and the Lighthouse staff didn’t disappoint. The sound system and video display were very easy to run and the sound was evenly dispersed. Everyone, including the people in the back of the room were able to see the display. The food was very good and prices were reasonable. Location, location, location… you can’t beat this view! I highly recommend Lighthouse for your next event. If you are treated the way we were, you will extremely satisfied.

Wont be coming back... hell, the carpet was ripped up from the floor joint in our room adjacent to the bathroom.... don't do it. Absolute disaster regarding third-party billing! This ungrateful place who wanted to charge me for printing, Did not use the Priceline orbooking.com credit card that was most definitely given to them to use. They conned me into putting a credit on file and claim they don’t take a damage deposit. Which makes no sense because they charged my card the full amount of the room and they didn’t use the virtual card that was given to them That works at every other property that I stay at! Instead of making payments on my virtual card at $26 a month my regular card was charged $225 in the end, a 10 fold cost for my stay. Which this property should appreciate during off-season. I believe they did this on purpose because they didn’t want to use the third-party card. The other alternative is that they’re too stupid to work with third-party cards. I am now staying at my 6th straight property using that system through Priceline and I had have no other problem, thank you, at any other property and this through my budget off because it’s a weeklong trip. Having to pay an extra $200 when I unexpected it really disturbed my plans. And I tipped excessively at the bar and restaurant on the two women at the desk wanted to charge me $.10 to print, and I print for business and numerous properties and it’s all a service. And they were worried about $.80.!

We had an incident and instead of finding ways to problem solve because apparently the only people who can swim are the people who are β€œsigned in” so if you want friends or family to come join THEY CANNOT. An old woman walks in with a paper yelling for my family member. She then proceeds to tell us β€œTWO ADULTS TWO CHILDREN” as we are all confused what the original issue is. We spoke to someone before going there and they told us we could all swim, and she said that the phone number was through a third party and β€œnot their problem” and threaten to call the cops and told the guy she was with to β€œcall 911” and based on other reviews many have had the same experience. There were many other ways to solve this problem, and she did none of those, we would have paid even more for all of us to swim. She then told us β€œThis isn’t partyville”as we have a 9, 12 and 6 month old, like seriously? There were solid 7 cars in the parking lot, 5 of them were us. The lady with the glasses at the front desk was very nice. The other old chick with blonde hair needs to figure herself out.

We chose to stay here again because we have been allowed to have family swim in the past.
The front desk lady was PEER rude and because of how she was to us, we will not be returning in the future nor will we Ever recommend this place.
For what we paid to stay here, the quality of the rooms, the beds and pillows are flat, and the food.... And then not being able to share the pool with family, not a happy customer!

"The Old Gray Mare" (Roud 751) is an American folk song. If you know this song, you know the Inn. Sadly, she just ain't what she used to be. The Inn is perfectly adequate, but with great views of Lake Michigan. The exterior and interior are work and faded. Our room was clearly a smoking room for many years and still reeks of cleaning fluids and very old smoke. The bed was, again, adequate, but not special. The pillows thin and marginal. The interior bedspreads were dated. Everything worked, but was not close to modern and clean. The building clearly shows signs of significant wear (and tear) and lacks modernization. The best point of our stay was the staff. Generally all very pleasant and helpful.

Stayed here for the third time in September. The room was perfect as usual, but we had a horrible dinner experience. We waited nearly an hour to receive our food after ordering while all the tables around us that came in after us were halfway through their dinners. On top of that our food was cold. Complaints to the management received no response. How disappointing after two very pleasant previous experiences.

This is a really nice inn right on Lake Michigan in Two Rivers, WI. I was surprised at how clean the rooms were. The shower sparkled and floors were shiny. Super super clean…and I’m picky about that!. The comforter and blanket and sheets smelled like laundry soap. The decor was quaint and fitted the setting. I opened the window and let the breeze off the lake in and listened to the waves all night long. The only negative comment was the pillows were hard as rocks. Oh well. Next time I’ll bring my own. Oh almost forgot…you just walk down the hall into the restaurant and bar which overlooks the lake. You can also walk on the beach.

I got the lakeside deluxe room this trip, beautiful views and so relaxing listening to the waves. The restaurant has great views as well, and good food.

This hotel and rooms need a major update! The lobby and our room smelled musty the whole time. The positive was that your stay includes a sit down breakfast. I would not stay here again.

EXCELLENT location right on the lake with friendly staff. Fantastic breakfast voucher meal options at the restaurant. The inn itself is a bit run-down and needs updating. It is damp and everything could use either a deep clean or a remodel. Comfortable beds.

This place is DISGUSTING!! The pool has mold everywhere, I thought it may improve in the 5 years since my last visit, but doesn’t seem to be a priority for them. There is an overwhelming musty/mold smell throughout the building. The food tastes like cafeteria food. The β€œbeach” had multiple dead birds and fish. The staff was more interested in eating bonbons than tending to our questions. Would have to pay me to stay here again.

Very beautiful location.. Great staff.. You need to keep in mind this is an older motel.. Clean.. Great Bed.. Good restaurant.. Beautiful view of lake Michigan... Very reasonably priced during the week I highly recommend the Place my only complaint would be the chairs.. We will be back in September.. Fab showed up asked for a room with a view of the lake...I got a room with a view of the shoreline... not that great ...

This place offers a unique experience of lakefront views and sounds. It is right on the beach! The waves outside the window are great to listen to day and night. The rooms could use a refresh though and there is a stale somewhat musty smell lingering around. The windows open though and we aired our room out and the air became fresh and inviting. It is on the lakefront so humidity tends to be high. We loved seeing sunrise, sunset, day, and night on the water without needing a cruise ship! So it is worth a lakeside visit, you just need to open the windows. Be sure to book lake view though. The 2nd floor offers privacy from the people walking around and of course, lets you keep the windows open.

1. Location, location, location. I don't know that I've ever stayed anywhere so close to Lake Michigan. Mae sure you get a room with a lakeside view and just open your window for both the breeze and the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep.
2. Staff was outstandingly friendly and knowledgeable. They were charming and friendly and it was clear they were invested in the hotel and making your staff there as meeting the needs of visitors.
3. Breakfast was great especially because one could either get a free breakfast OR get a discount on a larger one (I like to eat).
4. This is what I would describe as a quaint family stay, not an ultra-modern, sterile corporate run generic hotel. Everything was super clean but not cutting edge modern but that was exactly what I was looking for.

Rooms are dated, beds are very soft, had a perch dinner and very greasy. They gave a discount. Staff is great, the owner needs to invest in updated rooms, Direct TV worked well. View is fantastic. Recommend lake view, no traffic noise.

Gave the room 4 β˜† because the shower was built for a 4 ft. tall person and the bed was not a queen.
The view was amazing! Turned the AC off, opened the window and the waves lulled us to sleep.
Breakfast was right size, we each had the ham & cheese omelet. I recommend asking if you should make reservations. Luckily when we checked in it was suggested since there was a wedding Saturday night.
Walked along the beach.
Bar has 2 slot machines.
Great service all around, will definitely stay again.
Stopped at the wharf bar/restaurant on our way out of town. Band on a Sunday afternoon, nachos were good.
Submarine a 2 minute drive, farmers market Saturday.
Fridge and microwave in room.
Thank you.

We stopped here on Saturday morning around 930am to grab breakfast on the way to Algoma to visit my mom. When we walked up to the hostess and the two teens were complaining about how many people they had we should of known service was going to be awful. We were then seated at a great table by the windows. We proceeded to sit here for almost 15 minutes before I finally asked a server if anyone was able to help us. The server was rude and said well once I move these other people who have been here way before you, then I will get you help. The waitress who did come over was very apologetic and stated she never works weekends. She ended up being awesome and received the 25% tip we gave her. Once we got our food his biscuits and gravy were cold, his eggs were hardly warm and my omelette was the size of a piece of toast. The food and the staff was so subpar I would never set foot in that building again. The young male who was bussing the tables was very attentive and fast along with our server other then that, your staff needs attention badly along with the level of food we received.|I never write reviews but we are both in the service industry both Porsche and Mercedes and if our clients were treated how we were along with the subpar food and staff we would never have clients.

When you walk in, all you smell is mildew. Every thing looks outdated with dirty floors. The room was just ok, the view of the Lake is probably the best part. Woke with puffy eyes, I don't want to know from what.

Booked this a last-minute cheap waterfront overnighter. The musty mold smell was very strong in the south hallway and room. We eventually got used to it, but if you have allergies, you should pass. The waterfront view restraunt was like a time capsule from 1985, and we actually enjoyed the old sea themed atmosphere and food was ok . Overall, this old hotel continues to hang on, offering a decent price for a waterfront location, but it is definitely time for a room remodel.

Poor HVAC system: Overwhelming mildew odor in room. First floor/lake view room. No room available to move unfortunately - staff very kind and professional. Dated/overly worn furniture in lounge. A nautical theme throughout. The rooms are a good size. The beds were comfortable with quaint comforters that matched the homey theme
Several delicious breakfast choices come with your reservation, or you can use your ticket like a coupon toward something else on the menu. The servings were generous. The hotel is located right on Lake Michigan with a super view from the dining room and rooms. Outside, there are lots of flower beds, boulders, and seating areas to use for photo back drops. A nice sandy beach area is a short stroll away.

The decor is old, even outdated, but this makes it quaint.
Free breakfast options are great but the silver dollar pancakes for the kids were straight up a stack of pancakes! We were also able to take breakfast to-go. Great because 3 yo wasn't into dining in. The views from the restaurant are stunning.
There was an offering of Cedar Crest Ice Cream all day by the restaurant.
Inn is well-located across from the woodprint museum and quite close to Washington House (1st sundae museum) and Roger's Street Fishing Village.
The Lake Michigan Beach right outside of the door was our favorite. Reasonably warm water. Shallow sand swimming srea for quite a distance out. Great views, waves, walking. Overall fantastic experience!

DO NOT GO HERE! This place is scam. Everything looks better online and all of these 5 star reviews are not at all accurate. The entire place reeks of mold and mildew plus some unidentified odor when you walk through the entryway. The rooms are extremely outdated, and don't make up for the "views" and location this place offers. For the amount of money you pay to stay you shouldn't have to question whether or not your clothes are going to smell like mold when you leave. Oh, and don't think you'll get a refund if you even step a foot into the room (with hopes that maybe the rooms make up for what the rest of the unmaintained place is lacking). They're so desperate for money it doesn't matter if you checked in for 5 or 10 minutes, you won't get your money back. Please go somewhere else if you have intentions of being by lake Michigan or even having a pleasant trip.

We had a double queen room and it was spacious. It had swivel stuffed chairs, a fairly large desk and a chest of drawers. The view would have been awesome except for some fog. Our room was very close to the lake which is what we asked for. The minuses were, a little musty smell in the hallway and pillows were a little hard. The furniture is a little worn.. It is a good place to stay though. The attached restaurant has good food and I do get a voucher you can use towards breakfast. The photos also include the restaurant

Lovely location; we had a Lakeside Queen room facing the water and could hear the waves which we loved. On a wonderfully quiet stretch of the Lake with serene view, great prices, friendly and low key service, and unpretentious but very safe-feeling. The decor is nautical / lighthouse this-and-that, with lots of fun, unexpected details, like saltwater fish tanks separating the restaurant and bar area, west-facing stained glass window over the entrance. Has a cozy B&B feel, despite being a hotel with an exercise room, a restaurant, and banquet hall that appears well-used by the community. Really lovely view from the restaurant. In our Lake facing room with the window open, the waves were quite audible. We popped in late April during the off season. We're told by the bartender that weekends May to September require reservations.

Service was delightful and the food was even better. I bet this place is popular with the older folks with half sandwiches and soup. The chicken bacon melt had the tender chicken diced with intermixed bacon and cheese. This made it easy to eat, brilliant! We stayed here for the convenience to Two Rivers and wanted the lake view for a beautiful sunrise each day. Everything was better than we even expected. The staff were all very friendly and greeted us, the room was super comfortable and clean. The free breakfast from the connected restaurant was delicious each morning. The French toast and the cranberry oatmeal brulee were great. The sunrise was amazing each day right from our window. We also got dessert from the restaurant at night which is really good too.
