Food was good. The wait staff were a bit curt.
Cool pkace of history with the Dillinger era. Can still see the bullet holes, and has a museum feel. Loved talking to other guests outside before dinner. Everyone so polite.

We got to sit on the porch for the first time. Beautiful, wonderful view. Had a salmon special that was yummy. HUGE grasshopper, good but way to much for 2 people. Really serves 4 but there was only 2 of us.

It started out great with Kurt the bar tender. Attentive, friendly, quick with good drinks. A 5 for him. The tour guide was also a very solid 5. From there it went down hill. Food wasn't very tasteful. The younger server was extremely unimpressive. Very unattentive and forgetful. Forget 3 items that we had requested. Never checked in on us for anything including the drinks we wanted that the hostess got for us
Had to get our own to go boxes even before we waited 25 minutes for our check. I get they say they were missing one waitress but...everyone is and others aren't this slow and you hear it so much I get tired of this excuse especially on a Tuesday night.

As always, Little Bohemia hit the spot. Our server, Lisa, was fantastic and very attentive. I had the ribs, which just fell off the bone- chefs kiss. My partner has the NY strip with shrimp, which was plenty of food.

We intended to go for thursday prime rib, however, it is not on the fall/off-season menu for Thursdays. Not a big deal, as there is something for everyone!!

Well, how about eating where John Dillinger was involved in a shoot out with Melvin Purvis and the FBI? If the history doesn't attract you, the supper club feel and delicious food will. But be sure to look for the bullet holes in the walls and the broken windows. We had schnitzel, duck and shrimp. All we wonderful. The service was attentive and we would come back for certain.

Excellent Wisconsin supper club! I had the pork schnitzel and my friend had the chicken piccata. Both were excellent! We split a spicy Cajun shrimp To start and it was also excellent. You can’t beat the atmosphere or the service! We made reservations and arrived early to enjoy a cocktail (brandy old fashion which was fine).

One of the best places in the Northwoods. Music in the bar most nights. Kyle the bartender is awesome and pours a great drink. Great German food. Prime rib is great. My wife and I go here often and have never been disappointed. Only problem is deciding what to get because the menu all looks good. Closed on Sunday an Monday

Place drips with historical atmosphere. John Dillinger, the gangster stayed here and had shootouts with the FBI in 1934.It looks just as it did back then. Bullet holes in the walls and windows! Food is very good and service to match.Bar is period perfect with machine guns behind the bar and displays of trinkets the gangsters used while there. We visit there every year while there.Highly recommend!

The John Dillinger shootout was done in this building.. they have five Windows still with bullet holes in them and some memorabilia inside.. they have a small museum but it's only open 1 hour a day and I didn't get to see it... I was hoping you would have more nostalgia built around the baby face Nelson and John Dillinger's shootout

Had an amazing time at Little Bohemia Lodge. Got there in time to do the museum tour upstairs (runs from 3:30-4:30 and is $5 bucks a person) that was cool. Walked in and was greeted by staff and showed around. Had time for some drinks at the bar before seated for dinner. Had called and made reservation earlier in the day. Dinner service was fast and food was great. Overall, really enjoyed our time there!

Don't rush your visit. Stop and take a look at the lake behind the lodge. Set aside the Dillinger saga and think about the memories that have been created here enjoying a meal or drink. Then grab an order of cheese curds and eat them before others realize they are gone. The best!

We had such a great time here! Not my first time and once again they did not disappoint. We hung out at the bar for a bit and the live music really set the mood. We were ordering songs and everyone was enjoying it. The band was really good and they were kind and always smiling. We got sat down for dinner and the appetizer was really tasty. We had cheese curds while we waited for dinner. We were in a group of 7 people so we ordered different foods: in between the steak, fish fry, chicken Marsala, bohemian pavos, chicken picatta, shrimp de Jonghe, and baby back ribs. They were all very well made. Nothing was left behind. Our server was incredibly kind and knew what we liked - she really took the time to get to know our group in previous visits which made this time around that much more special. Love this place, and we can’t wait to be back here!

Last night, my two friends and I were seated for our 5:30 reservation. No service was offered to us for a half an hour. We caught the attention of a waiter who said he would send our designated to our table. We would return No one appeared for 15 more minutes. So, we got up and left. One waitress with dark curly hair, tried to assure us that if returned to our table, she would get someone to wait on us. It was too late for that. We left. And we’ll never return. Plus, we’ll inform our friends and associates of this debacle. And it is not exactly the busy season

2 weeks ago we made reservations for a group of 10 at 6:30. When we got there we were seated right away. Not many people in the dining area. Waitress was polite and took are drink order. After she brought us are drinks she took are food order. When the food showed up 9 out of 10 meals were cold. My wife ordered the New York strip special medium well and told the Waitress she didn't want any pink in the steak. It came out absolutely rare and ice cold and the broccoli was cold. My daughter had chicken parm and that was ice cold. I had pork schnitzel and it was cold and the gravy came out in a metal gravy boat was ice cold like it just came out of the refrigerator and the noodles seemed like they just came out of the refrigerator. When we asked the Waitress to take our meals back and warm them up she rolled her eyes and made a big huff. For the three of us and our drinks our bill was over $150 dollars. I don't mind paying for good food and good service. I will never go there again and neither will anyone else that was in are group. Worst dining experience that I ever had. Now I know why alot of the locals say stay away from that place. 😒😒😒😒

Food and Atmosphere:
I've been coming to this restaurant for thirty five years and the food never disappoints. Great lounge to listen to live music and have some drinks at. The atmosphere is stoic and the history of John Dillinger pays tribute to the nature of the Northwoods "getaway" spirit.

Service: Highly suggest reservations as the staff is limited in the Northwoods.

Attire: Higher-end casual.

Went here for a company Christmas party. The food was fantastic. The service, for the most part, was excellent. However, towards the end of the evening, the staff asked us if we were leaving anytime soon because they wanted to go home. North woods classic! Best atmosphere in the North woods in a historic lodge where you can still see the bullet holes for the Dillinger shot out. History aside, the area is beautiful in summer (on the lake) and decked out for Christmas in the winter. Reservations are suggested at peak times and make sure to come early for a drink in the bar. Little Bohemia has been on my bucket list for several years and I was finally able to try it. FIRST: you must call and make a reservation. If you don't have a confirmed reservation you won't be able to diner here.

The vintage atmosphere is warm and inviting.

The history is very cool. Little Bohemia was in the movie Public Enemies because the FBI had a shoot out with the prohibitionist John Dillinger and his gang. There are still bullet holes in the walls and broken windows from the event. The escape car is on the property as well. There is a lot of history from various memorabilia on display.

Some of the food was excellent. We ordered duck and New York Strip. The steak and shrimp were very tough. The duck was very good. The chicken wild rice soup and cheddar broccoli soups were fantastic and The rosemany au gratin potatoes were outstanding!

The green olive spread and pea salad served on the relish tray were top notch. The rolls were not hot or homeade.

Next time I would order the Pork Schintzel as that is one of their signature dishes.

Although we arrived at 5 and it was fairly empty, the restaurant became pretty busy. They were not staffed to handle it which is typical these days.

I would go again and try a different main dish.

We visited to check out the whole John Dillinger thing, and I will say that unless you're very into history/old gangster stuff, this is pretty much your jam. It's literally an old hotel room with a hundred bullet holes in it, and some adjacent rooms with the whole collection of news clippings and articles about Dillinger.

I'm not a big history buff, so for me it wasn't a draw really. But the food was worth going back for, and honestly it's pretty wild seeing that many bullet holes in a building, and they still didn't get the guy.

Having visited the place, it got me interested in the story and it's a wild ride, very interesting guy.

If you're a history buff or just looking for a very good meal, I recommend it.

Heads up, they serve a very unusual supper club style dish. I won't describe it, so you'll be just as surprised!

Ok. A bucket list trip. This is where many of the Gangsters back in the day hid out. Dillinger, Public Enemy movie was shot there because there really was a shoot out with police! Very historic. Many artifacts, even a wall with the bullet holes! The setting is absolutely gorgeous! That's the Atmosphere... Unfortunately, we were unaware that reservations were required, after 200 miles to visit. We arrived at 420. Went inside. Bar open. I don't drink. At 450 the hostess showed up. Was rushed. Rude and informed more than a dozen couples... Sorry. No soup or supper for you! No reservation, we can get you in at 8 PM. 4 hour wait. So. We left. Watched a dozen cars leave and nobody came in... So. Those reservations were at 5? Well. We were looking around the grounds till well after 5. No other cars. At their prices, likely $600 to $800 turned away. Since the host was such a rude person, and did not offer any of us a table, I can't tell you anything about the food. This place has a LOT of seating. Open 3 hours in the evening. I am sure had we waited the 4 hours plus, the food would simply be what's left or ? Sketchy way to operate a business. Especially when only a few will want to enjoy the history. I am a SR. Gen X . I know the story but 10 more years, nobody will know or care about Little Bohemia!?? Why be rude? If your nice. I would recommend people come visit and enjoy historical events and fine food? Maybe? I will never know how the food is, but if it's like the host. It's sour.

First time there (September 2024), I love the rustic look & feel. Only reason I gave it 4 for food is because they were out of a couple items but we were there later in the evening. We went to Little Bohemia with a party of 5 adults. We had a great experience! The hostess was lovely! Our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu. There were several specials. We had cheese curds and spinach artichoke dip, both were fabulous! The history of the lodge is really interesting and we enjoyed seeing the original bullet holes in the walls from the John Dillinger gang. We had strip steak, shrimp, walleye and filet mignon all entrees we're excellent and cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend the little Bohemia lodge for a great family experience.

We went here on vacation last year and had a great time/experience we wanted to go again this year and make it a tradition however we were treated so poorly by our server…Patty…. That we will not be returning. We were looking forward to going here all year and to celebrate my husbands 40th bday.
Patty told us the specials , rudely brought us our drinks and then began to take our order abruptly acting annoyed if any questions were asked. I was actually scared to place my order and my children’s orders. When it got to me I asked her to please leave off the β€œparsley” sprinkled on top of the fettuccine as we knew our son last year did not like it as much on. She rolled her eyes and said β€œ I can’t , I won’t be able to get there in time and they’ll still put it on” and then said β€œ what and why is he allergic??” It was not ok to treat paying customers this way. When food arrived of course it was on there ( she almost did it purposely at that point) I told her and she began to grab my child’s plate away when another member of our party didn’t even get their food yet. I had to pull the plate back and say β€œ no that’s ok, he’ll just eat it”. She acted so angry about it I was scared she would take it back and remove herself with her fingers or spit in his food. She gave me the nastiest stare down when I said β€œ this is not ok to be treated like this”. We were nervous to ask anything else. Why is it such a big deal to not put the β€œ garnish” on top while it’s done? There should be a button or note button in the computer?
All of a sudden we had a new server come who was sooo great, friendly and nice. We were relieved! I’m sure the other server went to her and complained about us although we did not do anything wrong. It’s appalling that at such a nice, fun place that isn’t cheap by the way.. we could be treated like that. We definitely did not want to stay and celebrate with dessert. I really enjoyed my cod. It was delicious. Other family members enjoyed their food also but the food came cold and the perch had bones in it.
We told the new server the issue at the end and she apologized multiple times to us and was just so nice! It stinks that the whole experience had to be ruined for all of us. We were there special and we just didn’t get the good server at the beginning.
Beware to ask any questions and just get what you get and pay for it!
I really hope our new server got a bit of the 50 dollar tip we left!
Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place.😒

I started calling the restaurant phone number this morning at 8 o’clock. I received a message that reservations are required, please leave your name and phone number. Unfortunately their mailbox was full all day. I waited and called at 3:30 and I was told by Molly that the restaurant was completely booked For Friday and
Saturday night. Apparently, they had a large party Friday night no excuse was given to why they couldn’t seat us on Saturday night a full day in advance. In my humble opinion, it makes sense for people to check the mailbox. I also sent them a message via Facebook and heard nothing back.
I was really looking forward to viewing the museum and eating at the restaurant unfortunately that won’t be happening!

We had dinner..Filet was fairly warm. Shrimp was good and so were the red mashed potatoes. Service was fair. After we were seated, it took awhile for our server to actually come to our table. Relish tray (not pictured) was disappointing. It was a small dish of pasta salad and a scoop of dirty martini dip.

Nice place once for the history. Service was great and staff was great. We got seated, two of us, on a busy Thursday. I had the braised boneless short ribs. The meat was pretty tender but there wasn't much gravy to really make it pleasant. My wife had the filet which she said was pretty good. But, the filet was $42 and the ribs were $36. With one glass of wine and a soda our bill was $99. Filet isn't worth $42 when I can buy two of my own and cook them for about $20. The dinner salad was small. Nice place but over priced. And I was charged $2.97 for using a credit card which wasn't stated on the bill. Does this place really have to recoup $2.97 on a $99 charge?

Really disappointed in it. We both love the mob history and have seen multiple documentaries and movies on Dillinger. So naturally when in the general area we wanted to stop in and see the β€˜Museum’

It’s $5 and has a β€˜tour guide’ that just pointed at some pictures of Dillinger and Baby faced Nelson and some FBI agents . He didn’t even tell us all of the people until another tourist asked who it was as we were just standing there silently. We went into a room with a bunch of old newspapers assembled together and some old memorabilia. Again , the tour guide didn’t really tell much besides that the chair in there was from the movie theatre Dillinger was killed out in front of. The highlight of the whole thing was seeing the actual room that was shot up and the bathroom that was shot up.

We had a drink waiting for restaurant to open up as the bartender said we’d have to wait for hostess to get there at 4:40
She gets in and seems annoyed that people were there waiting and was very short with asking if we had a reservation and when there was an opening.

Glad we ended up going somewhere else for dinner.

First time my husband and I were here. The history of the place drew us here and that part did not disappoint. We arrived 30 minutes before our reservation time to enjoy a drink at the bar. The bar staff was accommodating and friendly and the entertainer was great. We sat down right at our reservation time and that is where it went downhill. There was a fair amount of people there, but by far not full. We waited about 15 minutes before the waitress came. She did not introduce herself and we put our drink and food order right in. We understand that staffing is tight, but she never checked in with us, never asked how things were, never apologized for the wait, and never asked if she could get us anything else. We waited a very long time between courses. We did not get our entrΓ©e until two hours later. The waiter on the other tables checked on his patrons frequently and was accommodating to their needs in a timely fashion. The food I would say was fair, but if our waitress would have taken care of us as she should have it would have been a much better experience. For the price of the food I expect better service. I always tip over 20% when the staff is friendly, accommodating, and seen being busy. This waitress we could never find and she never checked in on us. I was embarrassed to leave her 10% on the bill, but it was just that bad.

Good food, nice atmosphere, worst service imaginable. Made reservation nearly a month in advance, arrived an hour early, took 2 hours to get seated. Another hour to get food. I asked waitress for the address so we could order pizza while we waited. There was no mention of reducing the bill. Been visiting annually for over a decade, that ended toninght... never again.

Really too bad because it's good food, but I can't tolerate such poor service.

Total of 3 1/2 hours from arrival until leaving, glad I made a reservation a month ahead or I might still be there waiting.

Completely and utterly rude. Debbie the β€œowner” was condescending and talked down to my wife while discussing a reservation. Literally said she would turn us away. Ten people. Even asked about breaking the party up. The kicker is, we can show up as 3 sets of families and she would have no clue. We always make a point of eating here every year we are up north. This will never happen again moving forward. The Pea-patch in Manitowish would never treat their patrons like this.

It’s clear by your response that you still don’t get the point! No oneβ€˜s upset that you couldn’t accommodate, the issue is your tone and demeanor on the phone and disseminating the information that you couldn’t accommodate. You flat out were rude and then you hung up on me. This is the issue. No oneβ€˜s asking for you to take away from other patrons and their experience. Like I said, we can show up as three separate sets of families and you’ll never know. But we won’t. I know, we will not ever come back. You clearly don’t understand the art of customer service and helping someone understand why they can’t set a reservation but try to help them figure out a way to make sure they can still come. They have LinkedIn training for that. You should look it up.

We drove an hour and a 1/2 to go to dinner there tonight. Had 8:15 reservation. Got there 20 minutes early and enjoyed the singer at the bar. Waited and watched large parties and other 2 tops come in and get seated. Finally at 8:40 we go to find out why we're still waiting to be seated. Host goes oh we can get you in. ( no apology) get seated and wait for the server who then jokingly tells us that there all out of the prime Rib. ( we reserved it when making the reservation). Said she was just joking. Fast forward... salad forgotten, all the drinks coffee, water (water carafe as well) and soda all not refilled until the dinners came. Baked potatoes not brought out until after we finished dinner. Left at ten. The last people in the dining room. Food was ok, but we will NEVER come back. This once was our favorite restaurant So disappointed. 150.00 dinner that would have been better at applebees.

What a neat place to stop in for a drink and take in all of the history this place has to offer. Beautiful decorated to match the historic aura of the time and staffed with friendly and attentive individuals who seem to really like their jobs. Everyone we spoke to raved about the food and I can say that my old fashion was fantastic. We only had drinks this visit.. but will definitely return to try the food that everyone seemed to be truly enjoying.

Had dinner at Little Bohemia last night (1/27/24) it was very good. She had a prime rib and I had the pork shank. The food was above average typical Wisconsin Supper Club. We were seated on time even though the place was very busy. My wife had the pork shank with butter noodles. Tastiest, flavorful noodles and delicious, tender meat. I had the salmon special over wild rice. Perfectly prepared and beyond delicious. Beautiful presentation for both dishes. Staff very attentive in spite of very busy time. This experience represents a major improvement from when we were there a few years ago. Both of us are good cooks and often leave a restaurant knowing we could have made better at home. NOT this time!

The vibe was typical small town supper club with the excellent addition of a folk guitarist playing in the bar/lounge. The history is impressive but underplayed. Would love to see that aspect played up more. We spent a couple hours in the bar/lounge first enjoying the atmosphere. Awesome setting overall by the lake and the food was very tasty. Prime rib had cooled before being served but otherwise it ranked high among places we want to return to eat again at. We had prime rib and glazed baked salmon which were both delicious.

Enjoy cozy bar...relive 1934 John Dillinger days and Johnny Depp making "Public
Enemies" the movie in 2008.

Get the coconut shrimp appetizer. All entries are delicious...ask if they have the warm raspberry & bacon bits salad dressing on spinach leaf salad.

Come early!

Kyle, the bartender will take good care of you. If it is daylight, walk around exterior of building and lakefront. Look for 1934 shootout bullets in exterior of dining room, windows and chimney.

Did I say...Come early!?!
