Absolutely gorgeous spot along the Sugar River next to The Mills. Their Dairy tower is a must try along with the mango pineapple mule. The scallops were so tender, with a great pairing with the pomegranate sauce and chopped carrots. Love this place, and our server was wonderful. Their soft serve menu is also very unique and house made. The duck breast was tender but the whole dish was too much on the salty side. Definitely a new favorite.

Sort of disappointed in our brunch. Flavorless Caesar dressing and rubbery croutons, but the salmon was perfect. My husband got the seafood Benedict and the cakes were quite salty, the eggs were poached a little too far and the foccacia was stodgy. The hollandaise was good though. Perhaps a few tweaks to be made. Good service, nice atmosphere.

I was very excited to try this place out just a few miles from Madison. The food is seriously overpriced. I ordered the petite cheese they give you only two that are almost bite size pieces, sure it's really good but should be a larger portion considering the price. The servers seemed to be confused on what to do and alot of them where on the phone. When I arrived I wasnt greeted, due to a cellphone clearly more important than me. This set a bad taste from the beginning. We spent over 100 dollars for two of us the only good things where the drinks which also were steep in price. We read online and on social that Chef Ben was this amazing chef, understanding everyone may have an off night, but he looked exhausted and almost like he was on something. When we left we tried to thank him and his response wasn't a thank you just a head nod from behind the line. We wont be coming back for Little Cloud, maybe a different event but definitely not for the restaurant. If you want to have Milwaukee/Chicago pricing you need to do better with customer service from top to bottom. Beautiful location with great potential, we did enjoy our walk around the river.

They were a bit busy, but we were seated and served promptly. The food and suggested wine pairings were excellent, the cheese ball being one of the highlights of the meal. I would've liked a more in-depth break down of the aspects of our meal (source, ingredients) but they were pretty busy, so I understand why they seemed rushed.

This was our group’s first visit to Little Cloud and we were impressed. Our highlights included the little dairy experience, the monkfish, and the last word cocktail. Service was excellent and we look forward to visiting again.

We visited for a chef series dinner and it was worth the 90 min drive. Food was awesome, company was great but best of all the staff here are phenomenal. Sue(suay?) the bar manager is a star, makes a ton of his own syrups in house and comes up with a new cocktail menu sometimes multiple times a week. If you’ve never worked in a bar you will never understand the amount of work and care that goes into that and how impressive it is to keep up with. It’s rare nowadays to find people that care as much about the guest experience as he does and it shows in all aspects.

Fantastic experience for brunch. Wonderfully crafted menu, freshly made and very delicious. Beautiful settings and ambiance of the format cheese factory and later butter production. Now a very cute Inn.

Went in for dinner with my dad a few days ago and had the best dining night! We put in reservations (highly recommend) and had no trouble getting seated on time. Our server, shout out to Reese, was absolutely amazing, checking in on us frequently, making sure we had everything we needed and always had a smile on her face.
Moving onto food, which was delicious. We had got the cheese curds and Fried Green Tomatoes for a starter. As someone who normally despises anything tomato related, I loved the Fried tomatoes.
Highly recommend this for anyone as a general dining spot, but it's also a great place for date nights and celebrations!

Thank you to Little Cloud for making our date night special. The property is beautiful and all of our dishes were creative and delicious. When my husband and I revealed to our waitress that we didn't receive everything that we ordered during the meal, we were promptly approached by the manager who gave us apologies and a gift card to the restaurant. We will patronize Little Cloud again very soon.

Loved our first time here! Drinks were awesome (would recommend the old fashioned, Sneak red blend wine, and highly recommend the espresso martini). The apps were delicious (fried tomatoes, cheese curds, buns). The skate wing was only okay but the experience as a whole was worth a trip back. our servers and bartenders provided excellent service

I would leave 4.5 stars if I could. We have been to Little Cloud twice. Starting with the most recent, the food and service was great and matched expectations. We ate outside on the patio and enjoyed the pleasant weather. Service on the patio did not disappoint, with wait staff coming by regularly (but not a nuisance). We started with the fried green tomato appetizer and it was cooked well, with a crunchy but thin breading, firm, meaty green tomato, and some little tomatos, cheese and crispy bacon adding character to the dish. My wife had perfectly cooked salmon. I had the bacon wrapped pork loin and it was wonderful. Beyond the pork, the sugar snap peas were lightly charred but not overcooked, there were some roasted carrots that were just right and the crispy fried polenta also was excellent. The sweet mustard sauce paired well with everything; I don't think anything could have been improved on my dish.
Google won't let me leave two separate reviews, so knocking a star off to account a bit for our first visit. On that visit we had some disappointments with service and overcooked monkfish, but the owners and manager reached out and made it right. Given the recovery I'll skip the details, but it doesn't seem right to say 5 stars overall when the first visit wasn't.
In summary, I would recommend Little Cloud, especially the pork loin, and the patio if you're so inclined. Paoli is a neat little place to visit, check it out!

What a great destination restaurant! We had several dishes, and they were all great. We especially loved the Lamb Nettle Ragu, but everything we tried was exceptional. The service and atmosphere were excellent too. Plus, plan to arrive early as the little village of Paoli is teaming with fun activity, especially on a summer Saturday afternoon. The was a band playing for picnicking groups and kids swimming in the neighboring riverside park a short walk from the restaurant. They were hosting a wedding when we visited, and it looks like a great event venue. Add in the scenic drive around the area and it makes for a perfect outting. We'll be back!

Overall was a wonderful dining experience! The staff was kind and attentive and the ambiance makes for a very relaxing meal. The food was very good, especially the appetizers. I highly recommend getting the dairy sampler and the eggs and bacon deviled eggs! However, my fiancé and I both ordered the chicken cordon bleu. While the flavor was good, the whole dish was drowning in sauce which made the chicken breading a bit soggy. There was also not nearly enough cheese stuffed in the chicken. Lastly, the whole dish was covered in mushrooms which overwhelmed and overshadowed the chicken. I will definitely return in the future to try more dishes!

Wonderful landscape showcasing the beauty of the Wisconsin’s Driftless region. Whether you’re in for dinner, ice cream, or a concert at their newest venue The Gathering Place, this spot never fails to impress! Great food and even better service every time I’m there! I also had the pleasure of staying at the Inn at Seven Acre not long ago, and there’s so much to say about the beauty and decor of the suites. Highly recommend the short drive from Madison to check this place out!

It’s never a good sign when you sit down at an empty restaurant and the first thing the waitress says is, “The kitchen closed 15 minutes ago—can you put your full order in right away?” I’m not sure why a restaurant would offer an 8:00 PM reservation if the staff doesn’t actually intend to be operating the kitchen at that time. In hindsight, it would have been better if they'd simply acknowledged the reservation was a mistake and told us they were closed. It would’ve saved everyone time—and saved me the $100 I feel I wasted.
We considered leaving, but I had just driven three hours from Chicago after a long day of business meetings. I was tired and hungry, so we stayed.
We started with the buns and butter appetizer. It came with six warm buns. Unfortunately, they were very dry. The butter was good, but not enough to mask the unpleasant texture. Thumbs down.
Next was the monkfish entrée, served with asparagus, a potato, and curry sauce. The fish was rubbery and had a burnt, charred flavor. A knife should not struggle to cut through fish. The curry sauce was overpowering, the potato was barely warm, and the asparagus was slightly overcooked, lacking that ideal crispness. Thumbs down.
The second entrée was the lamb ragù, which turned out to be rigatoni in a green herb sauce resembling pesto, with ground lamb. Sadly, the lamb flavor didn’t stand out. A bed of greens with a nice dressing was placed on top of the hot pasta—an odd choice. The heat wilted the greens, leaving us unsure whether they were meant to be mixed in or just a garnish. Either way, the presentation and the flavor of the ragu didn’t work. Thumbs down.
We had considered trying dessert but gave up at that point. The staff had already begun turning off the lights in the open kitchen, which only added to the rushed and unwelcoming atmosphere.
Our waitress was kind and professional, but overall, this was not a fine dining experience. Perhaps the issue was the 8:00 PM reservation—or perhaps the restaurant just hasn’t worked out its kinks yet. Either way, I’m unlikely to return, even for an earlier seating.

The atmosphere is bright, modern, and inviting. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. But most importantly, the food is absolutely phenomenal. The dishes were unique and full of flavor - the best meal we’ve had in a while. Ingredients were local and flavors were bold, and each dish had a story to tell. Little Cloud doesn’t just serve good food - it creates experiences, and we can’t wait to come back.

The best venue in Dane county and I'd argue the state for food, service, and atmosphere. The food is all farm to table source from local farms in Wisconsin. The service are some of the best friendliest staff I've ever ever encountered in a restaurant. Nestled on the banks of the sugar river, the hotel is a must to stay and play. The atmosphere is as Wisconsin as it gets. Absolutely beautiful venue inside and out.

Was always impressed here under the 7 Acre Dairy brand, food and service is stellar...and the new menu and brand similarly did not disappoint! What a phenomenal first Little Cloud meal here. Admittedly I went simple with the ribeye which was excellent, but I also got a taste of the stuffed flounder...definitely my next time pick! And the Old Fashioned....just try it!

We were a party of 7 and we enjoyed our time here! The Brandy Old fashioned was fantastic! For the appetizer, we had “the dairy experience” along with a sharing of the cheese curds and the Belgian endive salad. Our table had the stuffed flounder, chicken, Cordon Bleu, and the ribeye… All was fabulous! Attention to detail with food presentation and restaurant atmosphere was wonderful. To round out the meal we had pistachio and honey ice cream. Perfect ending to our meal!

Had a fantastic experience here! The food was outstanding—especially the walleye, which was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The drinks were just as impressive, with the Brandy Old Fashioned standing out as one of the best I’ve had. Great atmosphere and friendly service topped it all off. Highly recommend!

Beautiful outdoor dining with plenty of space for my 3 year old niece to run around and explore. Walleye with fries was excellent, and to top off the meal was a delicious banana cream pie ice cream sundae. Great experience!
