Went online to order some dinner at 6:50PM, see they close at 7PM. Didn’t want to bug staff as they were closing. Why does a business who serves dinner items close at 7PM? Very good food. Have had it before. Seems like a poor business decision is all. Still 4 star review, but now I don’t get my yumyums and 6:50PM is a reasonable time to eat dinner. This was an absolute stunner of a surprise. After a long day in the sun with the kids we really just wanted dinner in the AC. But the food was soooo good, the Notorious PIG, the Frachos, the Mac and cheese! It all hit the spot after a hot day. The service was patient and attentive. The old timey newspaper wallpaper in the table tops kept the kids occupied while we waited for the food to arrive too.

I love love love this place for wraps and burgers. They have so many options to customize how you want your burger. They have all sorts of different drinks to choose from as well. Service: It's a casual place, and the service befit that - nothing uptight, but respectful. Still, they were diligent in keeping the place clean and doing prep like keeping condiment/side cups filled.

Atmosphere: It's got a nice urban theme going. I especially liked the art hanging about, doubly so that it looks like you're supporting local artists by having their stuff on display/for sale.

Food: The person with me had the Cubano Panini and I had the Don Juan, with Guinness onion rings and garlic curds. The Panini was perfect, they had no complaints.

I loved the seasoning and freshness of my burger and the toppings, but I feel like the bun just couldn't stand up to the generous meat, avocado, and pico - it got hard to eat after a fairly short time. That may have been my mistake getting the potato bun though.

The sides were excellent, a bit on the salty side but not offensively so. Those onions were like butter inside the breading, I'm convinced some extra prep goes into those. Several of the curds burst - the oil may have been a bit too hot for them - but the garlic and spices made us basically let us ignore that .

Local Press Eatery is always amazing. It can get incredibly busy - so make sure you call ahead your order if you are in a rush. Local Press focuses on the quality of the food - I assure you no matter the wait - the food is always excellent. I have never waited more than 20 minutes for my food - even in the busiest times. Being a small business in the food industry is difficult enough between staffing and competing with large cooperate entities - but local press never fails to impress when I am in town.

I'm not sure what failed today at this establishment whether it's management or employees. I will never waste my time going to this restaurant again. no communication that the order was going to take long throughout the 50 something minute experience. other customers were also having orders not made in a timely fashion. why even open up the restaurant for business that day if you cannot provide an order within 20-30 minutes. burgers do not take long to cook something failed today at local press and it lost a couple customers permanently and the chance to ever have a recommendation from me.

Very laid back atmosphere - almost like a deli feel. You order at the counter and take a beeper and wait till your food is up. The press classic burger is excellent but way too salty! The excess salt didn’t ruin the experience, but if they cut down on the salt it would be perfect. Server with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onion on the burger with their signature sauce. The Mac and cheese is gigantic! Way more than you’d expect for a side item! The beer battered onion rings were awesome and so were the cheese curds! We left feeling pleasantly stuffed. Update of my first review - the prices have skyrocketed and the amount of food you get has dwindled. Ordered a grilled chicken panini and it was pathetic. The chicken was about as thick as a piece of bologna. The overall size of the sandwich (both halves) was smaller than my hand. Absolutely not worth $10.50. I could have spent half that much at Arby's and got a sandwich three times the size. Probably won't go back.
