I usually never do this, but I feel like this time it warrants it. To start off, I knew our server was new, and that’s not where my problem lies. Everything took forever- from us ordering drinks, to our food, to our check. The friend I went with ordered something with raspberry and instead she got the plain version. Ten minutes later, our waitress came back for food orders. I ordered the coconut shrimp and it comes with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies and ciabatta bread. When I brought it to the attention to our waitress, she said that she’ll go check on it, she came back 20 minutes later with sweet potato fries. A while later, when I got the attention of our waitress, I asked for the manager. When he came by he asked if I wanted to get what it was missing or if I wanted to comp it. I said to comp it and he said he would tell our waitress. She never came by again for us to pay, so after waiting some more I went to go find the waitress and pay for my drink and my friend’s food. The total was about $23 + tip. When I looked at my bank account this morning, I was charged the whole meal which was $53. My friend and I got there at around 6PM and we didn’t leave until 7:45. I had to asked the bartender to refill my water. I genuinely never do this and I am usually very understanding, but this was a bad restaurant experience.

We just moved to the area and have ate here 3 times in 4 months, each time we are impressed by the food. But today was extra great, James was bubbly, upbeat and overall just a gem! Log Jam has been my favorite place to stop in Menomonie for a long time. I love their cheese curds, their fish fry, their burgers, and of course -their cocktails are lovely. They have a great beer selection, and the food is always good, no matter what you order. Even the salads are stand out. Seriously.

Great place right outside UW Stout for a dinner and some beverages. Great value and fast service. We were having a hard time finding places that were open after 9pm on a holiday weekend and Log Jam was open. Delicious food, fast friendly service. And being it was happy hour, the $5 tall drafts were fantastic. I’d gladly eat here again. Thanks for being open!

I've been here several times for lunch and haven't been disappointed yet. The English Burger seems to live up to the hype as a local favorite, but the Lumberjack Burger, Reuben, and Club Sandwich are all good too. Based on my visit on 5/12/25: The casual dining/bar atmosphere was very calm and cool, with indoor and outdoor seating available. The service was great. I called for a pick up order on April 12th around 5:30pm. The person who answered the phone was very rude and said I couldn’t place a pick up order because they are busy and then proceeded to keep dismissing me as I was asking for other options. We just had our first visit here after a local's recommendation for lunch. We started with onion rings and a cup of wild rice soup-so tasty! We then had wings and the turkey club to share. The turkey club was by far the best I've ever had – absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, I dont know our server’s name, but she was excellent, providing 5-star service from start to finish. When in Menomonie it’s a must visit at the Log Jam. Our food was great except for the waffle fries. Totally lacked flavor and texture. The beer fries were excellent! Pulled pork sandwich was delicious. My favorite is the Mau Mau Tacos! Love them! Shrimp tacos were good too.
Our waiter was good and just needed a few reminders. But, very friendly. The young bartender behind the bar lacked friendliness and speed. I wanted a t-shirt for a gift for a former employee when she was in school. I thought he actually forgot about me after my order. Totally understand food orders first. Just check back with guests.

Nothing against the staff, the man taking my phone order and the girl on pick up were very friendly. The food was OK. The only issue I have is the price. My total was $28.66 for a sandwich, fries, and a can of Dr. Pepper. Steep in my opinion for very mediocre food. The fries were quite over cooked. Also they add a 15% take out gratuity which they don’t tell you about and then ask for a tipping option on check out. Unfair and money hungry in my opinion.

I’m from out of town and was looking for a bar/pub restaurant with good burgers and wings and i definitely found it!! The second we walked through the door the host got us seated almost instantly and was very polite. Our server was at our table not even 30 seconds after we sat down which is awesome!! We got sweet chili wings as an app and they were 10/10! Raspberry margarita i’d say 8/10. My burger was out of this world!! My dad got the salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries and he LOVED it. 😊 Overall amazing experience our server belle was AWESOME!! so polite, very attentive, and is very good at her job. Food, service, and atmosphere 10/10! Definitely check this place out!

Logjam has some of the best food in the area, if you receive what you order. There is no consistency to their method, they don't follow their menu.

On three separate occasions I've ordered a jerk burger. It's advertised as having pico de gallo. On three occasions, I never received the pico de gallo. The burger is not advertised to have beans and corn, yet on three occasions I've received beans and corn. One out of the three times I've not received the jalapenos, and twice I did not receive the additional chipotle sauce.

I'm not a confrontational person and I understand mistakes happen so I tend to let things slide but this is ridiculous. For a $20 burger, it needs to be more consistent than McDonalds.

I thought the food was really good. I had the Thai peanut bowl with grilled ahimsa tuna. For future I would ask for the sauce on the side. Our niece has the impossible burger which looked really good my husband hadthe fish fry which he said was only ok. He thought the fish was a bit over done and didn't like the kale slaw.
Our server was very attentive and made a really nice effort with everything.
I mark down the atmosphere only because the tables are very sticky. Allegedly because the lacquer was improperly dried? Applied?
That was kind of a turn off. Maybe get tablecloths on until you sand and refinish the tables.

Log Jam has a reputation with myself and my family as being a good, tasty place to eat. We ventured out to have a late lunch, and regrettably, were disappointed. We ordered the Coconut Shrimp appetizer ($15) and split it three ways. It was overcooked, and upon inspection, beneath the breading, the shrimp was green, which is not the color you want to see on shrimp or seafood. The waiter did not seem to be bothered by this at all. I should have taken pictures, but did not. We ordered 2 burgers and were not asked how we wanted them cooked. They came out very pink, almost bloody. We are a medium rare family, so did not complain, but I can see how someone would be upset by this. Again, the waiter did not ask how we wanted them cooked. The fries were good. The cheese curds that came with the Chicken Strip sandwich, were overdone to the point where the cheese inside was overcooked and tough. I felt the waiter had an attitude with us from the start. I, and my family, were overall disappointed with the experience, from service to the food. Very surprising. I don't know if we will be making a return visit anytime soon. Also, I was given a 15% discount on the green shrimp, which seemed a little too little, given that green shrimp could be dangerous. The store will be receiving a call as myself, and my 2 children, did share them. We are just hoping they were cooked thoroughly enough to not get a food-borne illness. Very disappointed.

The food here is delicious. HOWEVER, the service is sad. I've been here 3-4 times. The last time we ended up waiting 15+ minutes at our table without our server greeting us and asking what we'd like to drink. We ended up walking out. And the place wasn't even that busy.
The second time I had been here, our server took forever to greet us. She never brought silverware. I had to get up and go find some myself. Not once did she check in on us once we got our food.
Servers are not at all attentive. It's really unfortunate because I do enjoy the food.

Usually everything is amazing here but we had not a poor experience which was unusal. The avocado was really hard and not very tasty. The wild rice soup had no flavor. We didn't get our drinks until we got our appetizers, so we didn't have them for like 10-15min. There were bugs flying all over the place inside, so it felt like we were fighting them for the food.

We thought it was going to be a great place to have dinner, small business, quaint little establishment on Main Street in Menomonie, WI. Atmosphere was actually pretty cool, service or thought process of staff was very questionable.

Started off great, server took drink orders, got them out, took dinner orders, they sat on the cooks shelf for about 20-25 mins while our server stood right next to the window the whole time. When she stopped over to get drinks orders again, we asked about the food sitting in the window, hoping it wasn’t our order, only to find out it was our order. Delivered cold and not as expected. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone after this experience.

I would stay clear of this one, not again for us.
