I had the #5 lunch special and it was amazing! Staff is great and friendly. As soon as my glass was empty I was asked if I want a refill before I set it down. Chips and salsa were the best I've ever had. The birria burrito is what I pictured below.

First time ordering take out from this place and I am so pleasantly surprised by their generous portion sizes. They do not skimp out on this whatsoever. My only criticism was that the flavors were more subtle and inconsistent than other Mexican places. The taco meat was a bit on the salty side and the birria soup was not salty at all. The flavors also seemed muted in contrast with others I've had. The rice tasted great. That said, the subtle flavor are balanced with the variety of delicious sauces they offered free of charge. I also received chips and salsa without even asking. This shows me their service is top notch and they are not stingy. My criticism may be based on personal palette but I wanted to leave an honest review. I would still recommend.

Visited this spot for the first time and we have found our new favorite! Service was amazing, very friendly staff and prompt service! The food was delicious, we got the empanadas and arroz con pollo and both were amazing. The portions big enough for left overs and the flavor was outstanding. The margaritas were very yummy and for the price well worth it! Overall, amazing flavor, amazing staff, and very reasonable prices. We will definitely be visiting again!

The ambiance was pleasant, and we enjoyed the location. The customer service was satisfactory, but the food fell short. The rice had an unusual flavor, and my fajitas contained mostly vegetables with hardly any meat. The salsa had a soapy taste, and my soda was flat. None of our large group was satisfied with their meal.

The service was good and attentive and the atmosphere was pretty, but the food not so good. We ordered house made guacamole and it looks like it came out of a package or container from the store. And the veggies that were sautéed for my fajitas jalisco were still raw and crunchy. It was still tasty but the texture was off. And then some veggies were absolutely blackened and charred. Also they dont have a blender for blended margaritas.

I make it my mission to try the queso at every Mexican restaurant I go to and this place has the best BY FAR. Generous portions, delicious food, and the staff are super friendly and attentive without being overly in your business. Very flavorful Mexican food in the heart of downtown. I had the Shrimp Chimichanga and it was made perfectly. Plenty of shrimp and the peppers and onions were cooked just right to leave a little texture. We noticed some interesting options on the menu featuring ingredients like pineapple. I would definitely like to come back to explore more of the menu.

I rarely write reviews but this place deserved it. WOW- mind blown by the quality and tastiness of this place! My husband and I would label ourselves "foodies" and we very rarely get wowed by places anymore. That changed today! Started with lime margaritas, salsa, and bean dip 10/10. Ended up getting another margarita as it was 2 for 1- great size and flavor. My husband had Tio's burrito- size of his forearm and freaking delicious. Every bite was great, he even commented he never normally notices the rice but this rice was something else so good. I had the Fajita VeraCruz and wow again. Portion was huge, every meat was tender and juicy and flavorful. Packed with shrimp, veggies were perfect and so fresh. Pico 10/10, guacamole so creamy and fresh, rice flavorful and addicting. Great service, clean building and bathrooms, and overall just blown away. Something else for sure- wish nothing but success!! Will be dreaming about birria eggrolls until I visit again.

The Tios Burrito is huge, enough for a large family, it comes with baked tortilla chips and salsa and refried beans. I also got the strawberry lemonade. This is from door dash delivery, I ate there and they are nice.

We had a large group and a couple specific requests. The staff were all very friendly. Everything came out how we ordered. The food was sooo good and flavorful and portions were huge. We all had leftovers. The salsa and queso is my favorite compared to all the other restaurants. We will definitely be back and highly recommend.

Definitely a gem. I had the Fajita Jalisco which was a 10/10. Great portions, shrimp was cooked good and juicy flavorful meat.

Only a note to improve the feel of the location, I'd check the residue from cleaning products on the floor and change the ratio, gave the feel of being sticky. But don't let that take away from how good the food is here.

I went with a large party and the service was great! The chips, salsa, and bean dip were so good and I typically don’t eat those at Mexican restaurants often. The portions were bigger than expected but I did not complain lol. Overall loved it and prices were very fair! Would recommend. ☺️

The food was amazing everything taste great the los compadres sampler was awesome a little bit of everything and the tacos are to die for. Plenty of parking in the parking garages less than a city block away and very cheap. The margaritas all taste amazing and they have a huge selection of flavors to choose from! Located in the basement of Washington Square in what used to be old El Jalapeños. I would highly recommend getting the bean dip for your chips and the queso. Both were absolutely delicious. The chimichanga was good too.
Unfortunately there isnt much parking. The restaurant is a bit dark and depressing. There were straw wrapper and napkins on the floor under "clean" tables.
