We have eaten at The Lost Key many times. The food is always good and they use fresh ingredients. The risotto and salmon are both fabulous. The bartender made a great old fashioned. The trout special with the creamed corn and smashed baby reds was a great combination. We were able to eat at the bar which we like to do. The bartender was friendly and attentive. A little dark for eating, but the inside is very beautiful and clean.

We received a gift card and tried it out. I perceived it as mostly a bar atmosphere. The food was exxtremely pricey for the amount your get. You do not get any other food items that come with your meal (e.g. bread, salad, or soup). I ordered Cheesy Rice Florentine (Risotto) and it tasted like it was cooked in wine, which I can not have and the waitress said, "Ya, it's probably cooked with wine." It did not state it was cooked in wine on the menu. I stopped eating it and gave it to my husband. According to the waitress, they didn't even have iced tea! Unfortuately, we will not return.

Lost Key Tap is an excellent spot. It’s Outside of the main parts of the valley, so it’s kind of a hidden gem. I enjoy it because so many places in Appleton that are good are always packed, the wait for a table is long, and they don’t take reservations ahead of time. LKT was the opposite. They took reservations, but they had seating available regardless, it wasn’t packed and loud, and the interior was very inviting. I had the NY Strip. Probably my favorite in the valley as of now. The way they made the smashed potatoes crispy and put them on a bed of garlic and herbs was top tier, so so good! The steak was cooked perfectly. My wife had the stuff gnocchi and the made in house pasta was top tier as well. Delicate, lump Asiago stuffed pillows of joy in a rich and flavorful sauce. Superb. If you are celebrating, doing date night, taking someone out for dinner, or even having a treat yourself day, LKT is the right call. They will take care of you WELL. They’re doing upscale casual dining right and are an excellent, much needed addition to the local food scene.

Went 5/3/25 the guy in the vest and dressed sharp was so helpful and energized and service with engagement....bartender nice but no energy least amnt of words possible and monotone no smile, same with woman at the hostess desk....food delicious and pregnant daughter had a delicious mocktail. Vibe was low energy and serious. Except for the gentleman with the vest...need more like him. Wasnt a welcome or any energy that was up upbeat from woman at desk when we arrived.

I don't know what it took so long for us to dine here! Our first dining experience on Friday was fantastic. The host was friendly and professional. Our server, Laurie was the star of the show! She was phenomenal! Bravo to the chef for preparing amazing dishes for us: Brussels sprouts for a starter, the NY strip, prepared a PERFECT medium rare and the Wagyu Beef Bolognese. The layers of flavors in the Bolognese were quite impressive. The tiramisu was a wonderful ending to our meal. The drinks we enjoyed from the beginning to the end of our experience were all excellent. We will definitely be back again to try more dishes and drinks.

My Girl friend have visited many times in the past. We called ahead on the Valentines day 02/14/25 and spoke with the owner/manager, we asked if they were serving grilled salmon he said yes, and we also asked if could be served the salmon at the bar and again he said yes. We got there around 3pm and sat at the bar for a couple drinks. when we asked the bartender if we could get the Salmon she stated they only serve that at the table. We told her the the owner manger stated on the phone we could have the salmon at the bar. She had the manager come over to spoke with us and he said that he never said that and they would not serve us the Salmon at the bar and that the tables are booked. We ended up goin over to Lucky's and they served us what ever we wanted right at the bar and really took care of us. Their food and servers were wonderful! Will not be going back to Lost Key, terrible management!!

Im really torn on this one. The bolognese and gnocci were perfect. The service at the bar wasn't as good. The before dinner drinks were fine. The bartender was a little slow, but it was pretty obvious she was new. After dinner, we got the first drink right away and all was well...until i had to stop the bartender from hurrying past to get a glass of water. Then, we agreed that we'd have another before going home. The glasses, both drink and water, sat empty for at least 10 minutes. The bartender walked back and forth, and then did a great job cleaning up the bottles getting ready to close. The guy who i assume was the manager (who was actually the one to get our first drinks) was busy talking to the only other people at the bar the whole time. He looked over enough to notice empty glasses, i assume, but still let them sit there. The food was excellent. If you go just to eat, then by all means, go. With places like Salt and Rye nearby, i think I'll skip and be going where the service is better though.

Went to Lost Key Tap the tonight. We did not have reservations but we're there right at 5 so they fit us in! I will make sure to make reservations going forward as it would be a shame to not be able to get in if my heart is set on eating there! My husband and I both shared the bone marrow appetizer. For mains we both had the featured duck dish as you don't always see duck. It was absolutely amazing!! Our server Josh was attentive and helpful! We finished with creme brulee that you could see the dots of vanilla bean in!!! Absolutely a great experience! It was our second visit but we plan on making it part of our regular rotation.

Dinner was Del Frisco’s priced with Applebees quality food and Wendy’s service. Had the Filet and Ribeye. While the steaks were cooked well, they were over salted and poorly seasoned. Blue cheese butter turned out to be just butter. Au Poivre came out as a well peppered “McCormick Gravy”. Service was rushed and forgetful, all at the same time, and unable to substitute anything without an “up-charge”. Martini glass came out half full and wine pour seemed light despite seeing the bartender use a measuring cup. Crème Brûlée was close on consistency, short on flavor.

Really bummed as we heard Lost Key was good but expensive. Unfortunately just overly expensive.

You walk in to a beautiful, clean modern atmosphere and are welcomed with a smiling face. We were given a great cocktail menu. The old fashioned was amazing, the fall drink was delightful, and the sangria the best we had. The bartender Amber was accommodating and knowledgeable. We had one of every appetizer. They were all delicious, but the brussel sprouts were the most amazing we have ever had. They were crisp roasted brussel sprouts drizzled in a mildly spicy sauce and served with a creamy goat cheese. We cannot recommend these enough. Danny and his staff were absolutely wonderful. The food menu and cocktail menu are well thought out, tried and true. Pro tip: find the special cocktail menu and have the Tobacco bitters cocktail, absolutely incredible.

Beef bone marrow was interesting, we loved the bread very much. We had grilled salmon and macadamia nut crusted walleyes and both were just alright. The macadamia nut crust was mushy and we got few fish bones. Espresso martini was a huge disappointment, I couldn’t even finish it. We tried tiramisu for dessert and it’s just okay.

At my recent visit, I wanted to order the halibut. I asked the waitress to be sure there was no nut component as I have an allergy. She stated she didn’t think so, but would check which I appreciated. She came back and told me the potatoes the fish came with, had macadamia nuts in them. I said, well, can I get them without? Her reply was we don’t alter our plates- I’m sorry. I said so you can’t remove the nuts from the side dish? She said no- I said that’s ok, I just won’t need the potatoes then- to her reply we don’t alter our plates- I’m sorry. I said so I can’t even order this without the potatoes, and she said no. I said fine, can you put them in a separate plate or bowl and someone else will eat them and again her reply, we don’t alter our plates. I said, can we have a few minutes so I can look for something else? She said absolutely. The waitress walked away and the parties we were with said that is bulls***, we’re leaving. The waitress came back and asked if I had decided, and we said yes, we will take the check. She seemed surprised, but understanding, and I would say embarrassed.
On our way out, not one person apologized or thanked us for coming in. I have never been to a restaurant where they could not adjust a plate due to an allergy. I can confidently say I will not be back to this place. Very disappointing.

Incredible food! I had the cheesy rice (risotto) and it was wicked good. My partner had the macadamia nut crusted walleye, and we shared and I am so happy we did, Lost Key has a high quality menu. Our waitress and host were fantastic and our chef even came over to see if we had a good meal! Decided to try this place. We started off with wine asking for the driest red they had. We were offered the most expensive one one the list. We decided different. For our lunch I had the pastrami rueben and my wife had the beet salad. The salad was small and just OK. The rueben was described as in house made pastrami. It was just OK. Nothing to write home about. As we were leaving I peaked my head in the kitchen and to my surprise there was "in house made pastrami " in a container you would find on the shelves of Sam's club or Costco. Very disappointing. Pretty sure we will never be back. This place is very expensive for the food they are offering.

Nice bar & grill in Wrightstown. Just a short trek a couple of blocks downhill from the Turner Street Music Hall. It's a great place to go for dinner before the show. Server Macie was very nice, patient with us as a new group of customers. The manager also stopped by to ensure all was well. Food was tasty and reasonably portioned. Cost $$, higher than "bar food", but in line with similar meals at a nice eatery. We perform at TSMH on Apr 22, so we will be back to the Tap.

The wife and I checked this place out last night for the first time and really enjoyed it! I love the huge wrap around bar. The drinks were really good and the bar tender was friendly and very efficient! There was some really good live music while we were dining and it was at the perfect volume. You can still enjoy a conversation while listening. The food was excellent! Great flavors and cooked to perfection. The server was very attentive and made recommendations. We will absolutely be back again!

My medium rare steak ended up being rare. rare (cold in the middle with only the very most outer layer being slightly charred) server was excellent and sent it back for a slight touch up after I cut it open and found the inside to be so cold it was still stringy. It came back nicely re-plated and was very enjoyable once the inside was warm.

Drinks were fairly good, a little on the light side but excellent flavor.

Overall it was a good experience even with the sub rare filet mignon right up until our almost $400 bill was paid and the hosts asked us to leave (while we already had winter jackets on and we’re clearly preparing to exit) so she could seat the next guest.

To be fair, we did enjoy an appetizer, a main course, and desert, while slowly enjoying several cocktails over 2.5 hours. (5pm reservation, politely asked to leave at 7:30).

However, I have never, ever been asked to vacate a reserved table at a “high end restaurant”, ever. Especially at a facility that still had 9+ open tables when we left (see photos) when we specifically pick nicer restaurants to meet up with long time friends. We meet as close to monthly as possible to catch up and have always had excellent experiences with other restaurants when it comes to socializing. Especially a “tap” where we were already well over $200 in drinks.

Food was good and overall it was pleasant experience right up until the very end, when it ended on a sour note. There are several other excellent options nearby that are not only more affordable, but offer better quality food (without having to ask for corrections on a $45 plate) and will also allow you to continue to drink and socialize until you leave without asking you to vacate.

I will dreaming about the dill creme sauce for months. Can't wait to go back! Update: took my my mom here for her 65th birthday and it was perfect! She said it was the best salmom she had EVER had and the staff were great. She felt very special that the chef came to talk to us. If I could add more stars I would. Our annual office Holiday Party and we did a Chef's Table at Lost Key Tap with wine pairings. Exceeded every Chef's Table we've done in the past at a number of other places around the Valley and all of those were excellent as well, so the bar was high! Service was top-notch, the food selections were spot-on, drinks fabulous. It's my sincere hope that more people make the short trek to Wrightstown for this restaurant that impressed and has a bright, bright future ahead of it. A group of ladies and I decided to try lost key tap. We drove out to wrightstown from Appleton and we're late because the snowy winter weather was worse than we thought. We called ahead and they were happy to hold our table/reservation until we arrived which was about 10 minutes late. They immediately sat us we all got drinks and plenty of time to chat and ordered when we were ready. The atmosphere is so relaxed and the room is very light with mirrors and lighting and so nice. There's an area where there could be entertainment a band, etc. There's several large booths and a row of tables on each side of the bar centered in the middle. The food was delicious I personally had the macadamia encrusted walleye over some veggies and it was pretty amazing. Everyone at our table enjoyed their food and are waitress was very attentive and helpful even when she was rushed with other tables. Definitely give the lost key tab a try if you haven't been there chances are you'll definitely go back.

Started out Saturday off with Yoga and Mimosas at Lost Key Tap as part of a special event. The venue is beautiful and I did yoga on the floor and it was spotless! 😭. After yoga enjoyed a fabulous homemade Bloody Mary serviced with a mine Miller high life bottle, absolutely delicious. We the. Enjoyed the Burrata as an appetizer and had the Cuban and Pasteami Reuben. All of the favors were on point, the crispy thin fries with garlic and parsley were finger licking good. What an amazing place! From the atmosphere, to the service, to the food. Everything was absolutely incredible! Prices were great for the amount and the quality of food you get, seriously the best risotto I’ve ever had in my life. We made reservations online to ensure that we had a table, I’d highly suggest you do the same, as it got pretty busy around 7 on Saturday. Absolutely fantastic fine dining experience in a cute restaurant across from the Fox River! It is on a bit higher price point but you are paying for high quality food with superb flavors and excellent presentation. And they deliver it with very friendly service. I don't leave many reviews but this place deserves one. Service is excellent. Atmosphere is comfortable and classy but not uptight. The food is fantastic. I honestly could not have had a better dinner.
As a bonus feature, if you want to watch a sporting event, you will be suprised to see that there are few places you wouldn't have a great seat to watch.

We saw Lost Key's tent at Ledgestone Vineyard today for their concert, the food looked great but we needed to get home. We ended up heading down to Wrightstown to try it out and it was awesome! Super nice place, the inside looked great but we ate on the patio which was really nice for a date, cheese curds and brownie desert were really good and the burger was one of the best I've ever had. Food sounds heavy on the menu but they do a good job balancing it out, cheese curds and fries are surprisingly light. Will definitely be coming back soon!

The owners Danny and Lauren are superb hosts; they always make sure you have what you need and will make sure you love your drinks and food. We tried the Aquaduct crafted cocktail which was perfect. We also had to try the beer battered bacon which you must try, it's amazzzzing. We also tried the 1/2 lb cheeseburger which was perfectly cooked to medium. It had perfect texture and great flavor. It came with 3 large onion rings and beer battered bacon along with delicious fries. If you are near Wrightstown and are looking for a truly delicious and unique experience try The Lost Key.
