This was a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere does not scream bar and grill like most Hudson spots do. This felt like another version of Crave. Very clean and it does not smell like food but rather like a really nice Hotel lobby paired with great ambiance music. We got the cheese curds which were perfectly prepared and crispy. I got the chipotle steak handheld paired with parmesan fries and an Andys Old Fashioned. The wife got a
pesto chicken handheld and the level of flavor and freshness was superior! Everything about this meal had me wanting a round two of all of it. If you haven't eaten here yet, do yourself a favor and go!

Nothing but great things to say- Katie is a phenomenal bartender- always happy and upbeat! The drinks and food have always been great! She does a wonderful job managing the bar and dining customers. Espresso Martini ands spicy watermelon Mule- always the go to drinks! Chicken pot pie is so good. Chips and queso also good. Salmon dinner is delicious! Oh and the green chili soup is yummy. We arrived at 4:45 on a Saturday. We were one of three tables being served at the time.
The drinks were ok, not great. The food was decent, worth another visit except for one factor, the service. Even though the server passed our table numerous times, I had to request a refill for my Coke. My mashed potatoes were room temperature, would not melt the butter. We finished our cocktails and she did not check on us to ask if we wanted another one. We had to get her attention to get another. When she brought our second cocktail she left the empty glasses and other dishes on the table, leaving it cluttered. On top of all that, she was not very friendly. We felt like we were bothering her.
Our visit was on 9/23/25. We will not be returning.

Would love to give 5 stars, unfortunately I can't. Brought my 8 month old daughter there last night and when I took her to the bathroom there was no way of changing her safely. I had to pull a chair into the bathroom and balance her to change her. It wasn't safe and was extremely difficult. I understand if kids are not welcome but they had plenty of highchairs so that tells me you are child friendly. Would be a simple fix to add a changing table to both women's and men's bathroom or make it obvious that it is not a family friendly restaurant.

Louie’s is hands down my favorite restaurant in the st. Croix area! I just moved up here from Arizona and it brought me right back to the southwest! Tequila old fashioneds, the pepperoni flatbread, and the pot pie was to freaking die for! This is where I’m choosing to be a regular. Huge plus that the owners are so friendly and welcoming! We stopped in here after hearing from several people how good it is. Boy did it live up to the hype. Everything was spectacular. Probably one of the best old fashions that I’ve ever had! We had a wonderful dinner last Friday night. It was our first time eating at Louie’s and it didn’t disappoint. Our server, Tami, was very attentive and helpful, our table was in the corner, away from people even though it was pretty busy, our food was delicious! We had garlic hot honey cheese curds, clam chowder special, pork chops special in a truffle sauce, and my husband had beef tenderloin. Great food, even though it was unique and not generic bar food like my typical restaurant endeavors. Quick staff and always attentive, loved the aesthetic and color scheme of the restaurant. That being said it was almost dead for us and the only reason I can think of is the location is not ideally set like many of the downtowm classics of hudson. You could tell the food was assembled with care and intent for the customer. Highly reccomend when so many restaurants are serving such low quality food. Then again in wisconsin so many people dont want fancy since they are usually washing their buffalo wings and burgers down with 4 beers. Also their beer selection and tasting was awesome. They let me try 5 before ordering one as they had beers even I did not recognize, which is a pleasent surprise.

This was our second visit to Louie’s and the food was perfect both times. We’ve had steak, a chipotle burger, ahi tuna sandwich, and several different appetizers and desserts. The cheese curds with hot honey are a must! The quality of the beef and fish is fabulous. The sauces are very creative and make all of the entrees quite tempting. Our server this visit was Anna and she was extremely hospitable and very informative. She even laughed at our jokes.
I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere because the restroom wasn’t 100% clean, it could use a bit more color in the artwork on the walls, and I think the gaming machines don’t fit the demographic.

I visited on opening day. Both the drink and food menus were well thought out and interesting, reflecting the owner’s background. I ordered the burger which I enjoy medium rare. It arrived quickly and perfectly cooked notwithstanding a healthy crowd, busy kitchen, and bar area. Really impressive and my compliments to the kitchen. I can’t wait to work my way through the rest of the menu and specialty drinks. The lead bar manager is top notch and all of the staff seemed very responsive and attentive. Owners were on site and talking to patrons. Welcome to Hudson, Louie’s, this place is worth a visit!

Every dish I tasted was full with flavor!! Their blackened shrimp app was amazing and one of my favorites. Grabbed a Dirty tito’s martini and it was perfectly balanced made by Shaunie. My first time here and they did not disappoint!! We started with the Prime Rib bites for an appetizer and the meat was incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. I went with the Louie Burger and my wife got the Chipotle Burger. Both burgers were perfectly cooked at 2 different temperature preferences and the burgers just melted in your mouth and the buns weren't soggy at all with them being toasted with is a big deal! The Ranch dressing has to be made in house as well cause I can't stop thinking about it lol it was that amazing! Our server i Believe his name was Landon, was wonderful, very attentive and gave me some good recommendations for next time and hooked me up with some more ranch as well! We'll definitely be back to work our way through the menu!

Food prices were overpriced for the amount paid. Expected elevated flavor levels due to costs per plate, but it was disappointed. Slow to receive food, but there was a larger group of 10 before us, so that is understandable. Kitchen is a smaller kitchen space for preparing and cooking. Parmesan garlic fries were super garlicky with chunks of garlic. Server was attentive. Chicken as pictured was very small and potatoes was a small scoop for $23...not worth it. Same for the loin..small portion. The plating was beautiful as you can see.

Me & 5 of my girlfriends decided to try this place out for our monthly Clean Plate Club. Our young server seemed very mature & knowledgable. The menu is somewhat limited, but everything on it was executed perfectly & tasted delicious. I recommend the Baked Brie & Garlic Cheese Curds as a starter… The Grilled Fillet was amazing as well as the Salmon for entrees. Hopefully its location (tucked back behind the emporium - exit 4) will not deter the Hudson elite from making it a favorite spot. Given their food presentation & quality - this place should have a line out the door.

We celebrated a couple of birthdays on Saturday and were treated to an amazing culinary experience. The pork belly appetizer was unbelievable! I really liked the garlic cheese curds too. Everything ordered was cooked to perfection and so fresh. I loved the simplicity of the grilled romaine and don't get me started on the oven roasted tomatoes. Went there for the Valentine's Day menu. First time there, and the food was outstanding. Butternut squash soup was great. My filet was cooked to a perfect medium rare, which, you would be surprised how many times I've ordered that, and it comes out medium well nowadays. Bearnaise with the potatoes really complemented it well. The berry cheesecake was so good, too. I've told plenty of people about it and look forward to trying more of the menu. My only concern is that this place has the potential to be a "top 5" food place in Hudson, and I am afraid it will be limited with the location. I liked Paddy Ryan's as well, but we barely made it up there much. This place deserves a spot downtown, honestly. Food quality is EASILY some of the best in town. This place should be a destination restaurant, so hopefully, it keeps business strong and steady! Can't wait to be back!

We had a nice dinner at Louie’s! We all really enjoyed our meals (filet, ahi chimchurri, airline chicken) and will return. Waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. Happy hour menu was nice to know about. Drink menu doesn’t list cocktail prices, so I ended up paying $16 for an old fashioned…eek. That’s steep! It was good though and I’d get it again. Atmosphere is a bit “cold” aesthetically and temperature-wise (draft every time someone came in…). Might feel cozier with some fake plants or taller things to break-up the main dining area a bit - and to block that darn draft. Friend also mentioned that the neat “Louie’s” sign with the greenery background was too bright - she sat facing that direction- and used my husband to “block” it.

Terrible experience. to start with, they post all this about their happy hour but fail to post it anywhere that it is only at the bar top. It wouldn’t have been all that bad if we would have known that before going. But upon arriving we asked about the happy hour deal and we were told that we could not do happy hour because we couldn’t all fit at the bar as most of the seats were full. So we decided to sit down and order off the regular menu and that’s where things got worse. All of our food came out completely wrong. The waitress forgot to put some of our orders. When ordering drinks it took over a half hour for us to get them (this was a Thursday afternoon there was barely anyone there). And the food quality was very poor.

First, the name through me off. "Bar & Grill". I was expecting the atmosphere to be relaxed and informal. Like a bar and grill typically is. However, the décor and layout tries to be contemporary and upscale. It looks nice but doesn't fit with bar & grill. Second, the service was a bit slow. There were only 4 other tables with people and it took quite a while to get a menu and our drinks. Once the waiter did arrive he was a very pleasant you guy and did a good job. Third, the food is considerably more expensive than you would expect at a bar & grill. $19 for a burger? That's at least $4 more than most well established burger places in Hudson. Drinks....expensive too. I had the Old Fashioned it was $12. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the food itself. My wife had the Ahi Chimichurri and I had the Pesto Cavatapi. Both were fresh and delicious. The food is the one stand-out item of this place. Which is good.

Overall experience was good. However, we will not be bringing our kids for a casual meal here. It's too expensive and just not the right setting for most families. I hope this place can make it but it may be difficult for an expensive somewhat "high-end" restaurant off of Exit 4.

The drink menu is awesome. There are a lot if fun drinks to choose from that are not the typical.
