This was our 1st time to this restaurant. The restaurant itself is clean & nice. We sat outside on Friday for a fish fry which was great being able to see the water. Our waitress was pleasant & helpful. The cost was a pretty high for a fish fry but we figured we're here lets try it. We were told the soups available but not that they were at additional cost. This may have been included on the menu but again 1st time here. The baked french onion was $9.00! While the clam chowder was less (can't remember the exact cost of the chowder but around 4-5) We each had a single Coke. The bill with a 15% tip was just over $80.00! I couldn't believe it! We'll go elsewhere for future fish fry's

After being recommended by multiple friends, we decided to give this place a try since we were in the area...The appetizers here were actually really good, but unfortunately the bartender, Mark, ruined the entire experience. From the moment we sat down, he was rude, short, and completely unapologetic. We even tried to smooth things over, telling him I
We understood people have bad days and asking if we could just reset and start fresh. Instead, he walked away in the middle of our order—after we’d already spent over $100 on appetizers—and came back even more frustrated and sharp, saying, “What was it that you want now?”

At that point, the whole mood had shifted. I asked to cancel the dinner order since it hadn’t been started yet. My fiancé asked Mark to simply apologize for the way he was acting—something his own friend also pointed out would be the right thing to do. Mark’s response? “You think she deserves an apology? Well, you apologize to her then.” Honestly, I was stunned.

Later, I even tried to be the bigger person, walked back to him, and apologized in case there was any misunderstanding. His response was just, “You can leave now.” That was the final straw.

We spoke with Jon, the owner, on our way out, and instead of addressing the issue seriously, he excused the behavior by saying he and Mark were high school friends and that Mark “goes through periods like this.” He promised to make it right, but we never received a call or any follow-up.

It’s such a shame because the Ahi Tuna and Scallops were really good, but the way Mark treated us—and the way Jon stood by it—means we won’t be coming back. If you do want to support this place, maybe stick to takeout. Dining in just isn’t worth putting up with that kind of treatment. Or better yet, go elsewhere where your patronage is appreciated.

I had the Cuban Sandwich and my wife had a flat bread. Both were so very good, probably the best Cuban Sandwich I’ve ever had, pulled pork and smoked ham, delicious. The flat bread was loaded, crust was perfect and the toppings were fresh. Our first time, and will definitely be back.

My family and I have been coming to Dockside for 30+ years and have provided quite a a large amount of business to this establishment all year round (not just during the summer months). We came in at 6:55 pm tonight and had a party of 3. One table was open when we got there and we were told to sit at the bar until a table was ready. 5 minutes later, a party of 4 came in and was also told to sit at the bar until a table was ready. We ordered 3 drinks at the bar for a tab of $23 and patiently waited for a table. The party of 4 that came in after us, without a reservation was sat before us because they knew the owner, John. 35 minutes later, while we were still waiting for our table to open, a party of 4 came in and said they had a reservation for 4, at 7 pm. It was now 7:30 pm and that party of 4, who was 30 minutes late for their reservation time period, was sat before us, as well. We proceeded to ask for our bar tab, and the bartender immediately spoke to the owner, John, who then came up to us and said he would have a table for us in 2-3 minutes. Mind you, there would be no open tables within that time frame, as everyone was still eating or ordering their food. The owner said sorry guys, they had reservations and we told the owner the party was already 30 minutes late for their reservation, and he then asked if we had reservations. We said no, but had already been waiting 35 minutes patiently for our table, when he sat 2 parties ahead of us (one of which had no reservation and the other who was 35 minutes late for their reservation). If that's how you treat valued customers who you personally know have been supporting your business for 30+ years, we will not be back.

Went out for a steak dinner. Before I get to the food, the bartender and service was excellent. Now to the food. Both of our filets were tough like a cheap cut of meat. Very dry, no au gus or steak butter. Very disappointing. I only ate half of my steak. The bread looked and tasted like it had been frozen then microwaved. Again very disappointed. We had a celebratory dinner here for ten people and it was awesome. We sat in their outdoor dining located just across the street. Our dedicated server, Ellie, was just wonderful. All the food was on-point and the setting pleased our diverse group.

The owner made a point of stopping by to thank us and make sure we were doing okay. Bob was behind the bar and had handled our ever-changing reservation request like a champ.

The entire feel we came away with is that these people CARE. They were genuinely glad we were there. They genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meals. They made great efforts to see that we did.

We will come back again in the near future and hope you give them a try as well.

Location was nice on the lake but the food was so-so. BLT bread was tasty, rest was no good. Bacon was one big chewy lump, not crispy or tender. Pulled pork sandwich was bland and dry. The place was extremely crowded. The tables are packed closely. Extremely noisy.
I had heard good things about this resturant but we won't be back anytime soon. The menu is quite large with a lot of variety but I doubt we will ever be coming back.

I have been here before, and the food is typically good. We stopped after getting off the boat for some drinks and dinner. There were a lot of seats inside available, but we were told that they were reserved and we needed to sit outside. Our server was extremely friendly so I don't want her to take any fault for this, but we asked if we could have some glasses of water to start and she told us they no longer offered water for free. They only sold water and it was 3.00 a bottle. It was a plastic Kirkland bottle of water from Costco. We all found this pretty ridiculous, what restaurants no longer serve tap water. Especially outside and a weekend that is 90 plus degrees all weekend? We asked to speak to the owner, and he told us that he could no longer afford to provide free water. He told us it costs too much, to provide ice and wash the cups and it was too much effort on his staff. Every beer or soft drink we ordered was served in a disposable plastic cup. It is the only restaurant open on the lake. His prices for food and drinks have risen dramatically since the two other restaurants have closed or burnt down. I'm pretty sure he is taking advantage of his Monopoly and his patrons by charging extremely high prices for food and drinks and can not even get a simple glass of water. We will not be back.

On our tour of restaurants on lakes in se wisconsin, we stopped here, the inside is a fun lake side restaurant with great views of the lake with great dock and boat access , pull up in your boat and have lunch! looking at the menu they have a huge selection of options for lunch and dinner! thats the good! now the bad ... wow they are crazy pricey , i know it costs money to run a business,but there's nothing under 20 dollars for a lunch sandwich, $18 dollars for a blt ? i had the pulled pork and it was just plain and no flavor. they included fries and coleslaw, which was dry and made from vinegar and it was not very good. they have an impressive dinner entrée menu with steaks and other items at very high-end prices not sure if I would come back based on lunch. our kids had pizza as they liked it ,but didnt have much else for kids tastes. Yes, this review was about price. restaurants should be able to offer this level of food for less.

Yesterday, Memorial Day, 2025, we ordered 3 sandwiches. We had the reuben, Philly Cheesesteak, and Gyro, all with fries. The food was HORRIBLE looking and tasting. The fries were limp and lukewarm, the bread on the Philly and Reuben were soggy, and the gyro pita was stale. We were in a hurry so just ate a little and left most of it on the plates. I should mention that those 3 sandwiches were $70. I had already decided that we will never go back there again but now today, May 27, 2025, the very next day, my son is violently ill. Diarrhea and vomiting all night long and into today as well. Now we have spent even more money on medicine to help him deal with this terrible food poisoning. My other son is also sick but not quite as bad. He has diarrhea and feels nauseous. I also have stomach pains and feel sick but no vomiting. What the heck? We will never return to this overpriced, low quality place again. That is unfortunate because it is in our own community and we like to support those places.

We loved the view, the appetizer of fried mushrooms was delicious! The fish fry was good, but not $25 good! A wedge salad was $18, in my opinion, that's a little steep for a piece of iceberg lettuce and a few toppings. Just for a diet coke it was $4.50 (no free refills) big cup, but there was so much ice in it, if I removed the ice there only would of been a quarter of that big cup filled with soda. I really don't have a problem with this place, except the prices, they're ridiculous! For 2 fish fry, mushrooms and a couple of drinks my bill came out to over $100! Lulabell’s is a great spot in East Troy. We sat on the patio because we had our dog with us - we were able to watch the sunset from their patio. Above all, the staff is absolutely awesome - Tara was just wonderful (5/5 service)!

Awesome!! Very cool ambiance, like an old italian bar/ supper club, but brighter. Great menu. The pizza is fantastic, the salmon is outstanding. The eggplant was very good, and somehow the cheese curds are 'light and fluffy'. We will definitely be back to try the Cuban and a few other things. Staff was friendly, and a gentleman who I'm assuming is the owner, came and checked on us a couple of times to see how we liked everything. We went in January, but I'm anxious to go back in summer and check out the view.

Just stumbled upon this place, and glad we did. Definitely a little gem. Situated by Lake Beulah with great sunset views. Everyone that works here is super friendly, welcoming, great vibe here. Food is outstanding!! And plenty of it to take home for later.

Best Prime Rib sandwich I’ve ever had. Homemade mashed potatoes were delicious. We came back a week later for dinner, my husband had amazing King Prime Rib cooked to perfection and I had fried chicken absolutely delicious, love the breading.
You MUST try their Old Fashioned cocktail, I had it made with Brandy omg best drink I’ve ever had!

We asked for 4 waters as custom at restaurants and were given water bottles from Costco. That’s fine but then on the bill it said $10.00 which was a suprise charge. If they informed us that it was $2.50 a water we would not have gotten them.

Then one of us got a soda and it was $4.50.

Then someone got a baked potato and we were charged 2.00 for the bacon and cheese 1.50.

The food was fine but not worth all the extra charges we received that were hidden and not explained to us. Lacking transparency regarding price gouging. I highly recommend the resturant advertise all hidden charges as to not blindside the customer.

The best part of this restaurant is the view of the lake across the street. I don’t mind paying more for great food and service, but we received “meh” food and service. My son ordered street tacos where the guacamole was brown, and the meat flavorless. We also got chicken tenders and a wrap that were underwhelming for what we got. The fries were very oily and not good. Fountain soda is $4.50 with no refills. Everyone pays a 3% service charge no matter what you order. Our server left a lot to be desired. If you are looking for good food, good service or value for your money, this isn’t it. If you want to feel like you overpaid to eat somewhere that charges more than average for below average food and service- this is your place. You will leave feeling like you should have stayed home.

We went to dinner with friends on a Saturday night, it wasn't that crowded. Food took a bit to come but that gave us time to relax. Prices were extremely high, one of us received the incorrect meal and the waitress did not offer to replace the item as it took so long for our food to come to begin, all she gave us was a free soda for someone's mistake, be it her or the kitchen. Then after getting our bill, mind you there were four of us, 3 ordered burgers and one received a grilled cheese, there was an automatic 3% service fee on the bill so our final tab with only 2 alcohol beverages (Bloody Mary was $14.00 or $15.00) was over $125.00. We will not be going back. We could have ordered steak elsewhere and gotten a better meal for less money.

First time dining here. Restaurant was packed as it was a Friday night. Should levels were extremely high based on the hard surface areas of the ceiling, walls, and floors. It appears the proprietor has tried to mitigate this with sound tiles placed at various locations. Regardless, sound levels were very high which made conversation difficult. Two of our party were running behind schedule and the apparent owner was pretty rude in questioning why 2 of the seats remained empty 30 minutes into the reservation. This situation could have been handled better and as a first time customer, his attitude most likely turned me away from being a repeat cutomer. Our wait staff was very good and worked through the rudeness of the owner. She should never be handicapped in providing service by her boss.

My family and I went out to celebrate Mother's Day on Sunday and I ordered the Tuna wrap. Let 2 others try it and 6 hours later the symptoms started. Entire menu priced like a downtown Milwaukee restaurant. Insane. Even Lake Geneva restaurants are cheaper

Nothing was bad except I could have the same dining experience in Burlington, Muskego, or Waukesha for 35% to 40% less.

If price is not a factor then knock yourself out. If you are looking for VALUE Avoid. Nothing leaves a bad taste in your mouth like paying $18 bucks for 4 fountain sodas.

The food was delicious. We started with Fried Mushrooms (amazing!) and their tomato bisque soup of the day. Had a BLT sandwich and Cobb Salad - also fantastic. I regret I didn’t get pictures of those. I agree with a previous review that the fries weren’t crispy, which I expected because they looked brown when they came out. That was the only disappointing aspect of the food as my preference is for crispy fries. They tasted homemade though. As a previous reviewer said - I too have been in “sticker shock” lately eating out. Prices everywhere have shot up. $7 for a bottle of NA beer, $19 Cobb salad and $16 BLT. There was a service charge on our bill too. But this was a treat for us to dine outside looking at the water on an April day. The food was delicious, so we will likely be back when out that way again.

Good food. Fish tacos delicious. Pleasant service and attentive. One order was wrong and instead of bringing out the correct order fresh they left the original fries on the plate so they were cold. Our biggest complaint ….prices are very high. Not comparable to similar settings/offerings in the area. With their prices being so inflated we will go elsewhere. It has a casual vibe but not casual vibe prices.

We came here for Friday night fish fry. The place was packed when we walked in and packed when we left. People sometimes had to wait a little bit for a seat, but rarely did anyone leave before eating. I ordered fish tacos, which were delicious. The bartender was friendly. The place was clean and nicely furnished. I would eat here again.

Was here Thursday for a business lunch. Enjoy being able to relax with a view of the lake. Had the chicken sandwich and fries. Such large portions I had enough for dinner too! Highly recommend!!

Even if it's not busy they tell you to wait at the bar. 4 drinks and $60 later we were seated. Talk about padding the profits with overpriced drinks! Waitress was awesome fish was okay but grossly overpriced drinks with a 3% fee for using a credit card. Too many other places to choose from so today was my last visit.

Our 1st experience was 5-star food and service. Unfortunately, our second experience was not as delightful. We sat at the bar and ordered the seared tuna appetizer and fried eggplant again since the first time was fantastic. This time, the tuna was overcooked, dry, and uneatable. I mentioned it to the bartender, who took it back to the chef, who said if he remade it, it would come out the same. We had him take that order away. We ordered the scallops and risotto, not the 5-star as before, but still OK. When it was time to pay, the tuna was on the bill, and I asked him to remove it since we didn't eat it. His response, with a stone-cold face, was, "It's not my policy." I paid the bill, but with that policy, I will not be back.

This place got crazy busy the night I went.
Not a huge seating cap, so might want to call ahead.
Don't be late...they had enough walk-ins that an empty table isn't staying empty long.

Reuben was good.. all the other plates I saw come out looked equally delicious.

This restaurant has NO free water! You have to buy a bottle. Next, they’ll charge for toilet paper! Ridiculous! Additionally, they charge a credit card fee on debit cards which is illegal in all 50 states. That’s a violation of their cardholder agreement. I will no longer go to establishments that charge outrageous illegal fees-and I’ll put it all on Google until it stops.

It was a quick lunch on a Monday. It was hard to find a place open on a Monday. We were greeted fast and seated. Fast service, good burgers. I do NOT like it when a restaurant charges diners their merchant processing fee's. So I was very disappointed when I received my check and saw a charge for an extra $1.53. I proceeded to pay with cash to avoid the additional charge. Which them confused the server who didn't know how to make change. 🤔

Our family has always loved this place but my son-in-law’s 1st Fathers Day there was terrible. First they forgot to make his pizza and he had to wait while everyone was eating. The owner came over and when we mentioned getting the pizza free he said no. He offered a free drink but my son-in-law said he doesn’t drink. Then the owner said how about a free dessert and he said ok. Forgot to remind them so never received the dessert. I think the waitress was embarrassed by the owner and kept apologizing. She was great. We all ordered water and got water bottles which we were charged for. What has happened to this place? Extremely disappointing for a place we all loved to go to.

As it's situated right on the lake the view during dinner was fantastic. Not really "kid friendly" but Boujee kid items like Vienna hot dogs, pizza, quesadilla. I'm going to sound like a complete Karen when I say I will NOT pay for a water to accompany my meal. $2 for a bottle of water is insane to me. So a nice cup of ice to crunch was fine. Fish fry was tasty. Patty melt was good. Kiddo loved the mozzarella sticks. The fries that came with our meals were good but not near crispy by any means. I get the feeling they didn't have the fryer to temp when frying up the fresh fries. They were busy so I can let that slide as obviously other people wanted their food ASAP too. Parking is a nightmare but like I said, busy place. Overall it was pleasant if not as perfect as expected.

This was my first time visiting the great state of Wisconsin. I liked the vibe here. Lakeside, great service despite being very busy. I appreciated the warm bread and the piping hot baked potato. Good food at a fair price.
