Call in to Ordered burrito Carney, asada, take out with beans and rice. Looked in bag no rice no beans asked for my missing food was told the rice and beans are on the burrito. That makes no sense when ordering a side of rice and beans they put your side order on the burrito.
Will not return first time and last time.

Lots of great hard to find items are located here including a meat counter with fresh meats and bakery items, and once you've done shopping head over to the restaurant to grab some really good food at a pretty decent price, I'll definitely be back again the next time I'm in the area!!

Funny how I went in and asked for something they keep behind the counter and the woman looked me in the face and told me that they don't SELL what I needed (notice how i said the word SELL instead of HAVE ANY IN STOCK) and then my boyfriend went in 2 hours later and asked for the same thing I needed and they sold him the item they supposedly don't sell. I should also include the fact that I'm white and he's Latino. That super super uncool.

We live in LA and come to Beaver Dam at least twice a year. We dared to try Mexican food out here after a cancelled flight. When you go inside there's a grocery store with a butcher counter in the back on the left and the restaurant on the right. They close at 9 pm and we got there at around 8:30 pm and their kitchen was still open. I ordered a lengua (beef tongue) and tripa (beef tripe) tostadas. I am a more adventurous eater and those specific flavors may not be for everyone. They charge $1.99 extra for those toppings. My husband got a barbacoa gordita and el pastor taco. We browsed in the grocery store while we waited for the food to get made. The grocery store has a wide selection and the butchers counter is full of marinated meats. We took our food to go. Our minds were completely blown. Their food was better than some of the Mexican restaurants in LA. The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. We had eaten at a Mexican restaurant the week before and been underwhelmed but this place is great. They forgot our chips with the guacamole, but I forgive them because their food is absolutely delicious. Their guacamole is made to order so everything was fresh. Their salsas were the perfect level of spiciness. I generally can't handle very spicy food. This is a place that we will go back to every time we come to visit.

Excellent authentic food! I've been here twice now, and each time, it is unique and traditional. Complementary salsa and chips at sitdown, very reasonably priced menu, and the food is mouth watering.

The patrons that frequent the connected store add to an authentic atmosphere that doesn't feel forced but appropriate.

The staff are always friendly and are attentive to your dining needs. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My son & I think this is THE best place for Mexican food to go. We usually get burritos bcs it's what we miss the most from home (SF, CA), and they nvr disappoint. The grilled steak (carne asada for the uninitiated) is delicious; the lengua (tongue, don't cringe, it's authentic!) I'd always tender & they know how to season it. I've not tried ALL their varieties but their usual sides like their rice & beans are spot on, their tomato salsa is ❤️‍🔥, their green guac salsa is tamer as it should be, & the burrito is just the right size to fill this Nana for dinner.
I only took off a star bcs you do have a bit of a wait even though it's never been the height of lunch or dinner when we've been through, so no, it's not fast food. Is it worth waiting for? For me it is. I can't abide by the usual suspects like the franchises on most days when I'm having a bad day & can't cook, but don't want ramen. Papa Murphy's is usually the other non-fast food option, but that's on the OTHER side of town, but that's for when the grands come over. I've given them a review already.
La Tapatía is the "other" Mexican place in town, but it's a toss up for me bcs they're a bit too American. They add things like sour cream to their dishes, including the burritos as a default; the rice is almost tasteless, as are their beans. I think their cook forgets to add the cumin. It's like an American housewife forgetting to add black pepper to anything. Just, no.
So there's my take on Lupita's Market & Restaurant. If you want more Mexican food in the remote WI countryside, that's where you go.

I ordered food when my woman went to get it they said we didn't order the fajitas, even though I clearly did, they also sent her home with out the chip I also ordered that they confirmed I ordered. Then when i call they tell me their tamales went up by 5 dollars from what there menu tells me so that the total charge would make sense. Never again!

Because sometimes you need more than just typical mexican food, this is that place. The only mexican restaurant in Beaver Dam that really gives you delicious home cooked food and flavors. Update : After many years of eating here and loving every bite . I ate there last week and found the food to be less than great , still good , but not as good . New cooks? Lupitas is amazing. No complaints love everything about this place. Grab some arrachera for the grill or order something from the resteraunt. I love the huaraches with barbacoa. The staff here are all very nice. They recently updated their menu and now have online ordering which is 👌 the best ! I love how they remodeled the eating area as well.
