We came for lunch. It was kid friendly which was nice. We ordered the Raspberry Habanero Chicken Sandwich. I was expecting a Fried Chicken but got grilled. That was my mistake for not confirming. The Chicken Strips my kids got were yummy though. We also ordered Bloody Mary’s. They were ok but could have been spicier. Service was ok. It was a little busy when we got there so I’m sure that impacted service. Bartender was friendly.

This place is a gem. The owner was working behind the bar. He was very welcoming and friendly. We got the Fish Fry Friday special. I got mine fried and my friend got baked. Both were super tasty and cooked spot on. Came with coleslaw and potatoes diced. The owner had us try his blackened fish as well. It was not spicy and was so delicious. And he made a special sauce that was to die for. Just such an amazing taste. Thanks, Steve your cook and bar staff are amazing, and you are too. Thanks for making our dining experience top-notch.

My wife and I, and my parents, enjoyed blackened mahi mahi this past Friday night at MACKZ's Hideaway. We arrived at 1900 and found most tables occupied - fortunately a table for four opened just as we arrived. It appeared only one person was working the tables - she did a great job keeping up with a dozen or so tables.
Being busy, it took approximately 40 minutes for our food to arrive - we enjoyed a few beers during the wait (Widow Maker Black Ale was particularly tasty). We were glad to hear that the bar/restaurant will continue business after the completion of its recent sale. The establishment had planned a farewell party for the weekend of 28 July 2023, which will now be a grand re-opening celebration. We look forward to future Friday fish fries!

Yo. These WINGS! They’re so good! They fry them and then dip them in sauce, then grill them to get that tasty grill taste, and then dip them in sauce again. They were incredible. Best wings around here for SURE (and I’ve been looking!!!). I got the garlic Parmesan, bbq, and Asian zing. All amazing. And the bartender was so nice!!!

Very good food, terrific owners and staff. The Cajun fish, is a must try. Oh, forgot to mention the cocktails, their good too. And, MACKZ is close to home. Just needs to be open when they are supposed to be open. Went there several times and they were closed. Need a sign on E to let you know if they are open or not, before driving down. a bit frustrating. Otherwise a great place.

It clearly stated you were open. This was many months ago before 2021. You must close early like 3 in the afternoon sometimes.
You have changed your sign since then to say Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

I ordered a sandwich at 6:00 pm with a group of people in my party who all ordered the fish fry. The owner refused to cook any more sandwiches after 7 even though our order was placed before 7 o'clock. I had to eat a child's meal. This is not good business practices. I will never go back and I intend to inform everyone I know that this is not a good place to eat.

Mackz hideaway was an excellent dinning experience. The inside is very clean, even the rustic wood window ledges were dust free.
