This place is a hidden gem in an unsuspecting little strip mall. With updated management, they have upped their quality and service to great standards. Their food is amazing. We have had their fried chicken, fried fish and chicken and rice. Everything is of superb quality, but well seasoned and freshly made. I have never had fried fish of this caliber in Madison - crispy, tender, well seasoned and not at all greasy. Walking into the place, I did not expect to have such good food that’s well priced, with ample portions and the amazing customer service was on pointe. The place is clean and order was made quickly. I’m really impressed with them and highly recommend trying them out - we need to keep them in business.

I was starving today so I figured I’d give this a try since it’s right around the corner from where I live. I ordered one Gyro for the price of $9.99 plus an extra Taziki sauce which they charged me $.70 more for it.

I ordered this in person at the restaurant so I would think I would get it nice and hot but to my surprise, the gyro meat is frozen. The sauce is also frozen and the pita bread wasn’t even warm all in all $3.70 more than Arby’s just go to Arby’s if you’re looking for a traditional gyro. Gyro was significantly smaller as well.

The lady upfront is super nice, but when I told her what happened, she just gave me excuses. The worst gyro I have ever had in my life.

CHICKEN GIZZARDS!!! OMG--I ordered them the other day because I was craving them. There is a chain in IL that I grew up with eating them, had some while visiting for Thanksgiving and really wanted more. Theirs will always be #1 for me but yours are a close 2nd and I wasn't expecting that! They were hot and fresh and just really hit the spot. I don't live as close to you as I used to but you can expect to see me as often as possible!! Thank you for the delicious experience!!!

Chicken wings are good and reasonably priced. I wish they offered more sauces though rather than just hot sauce. I also like that they have a nice menu for items other than chicken like their sandwiches are good their hamburgers are good and they have some good sides. Their fries are good

Had heard from locals that the chicken was good. Went directly to store to order, was told 15 minutes for meal to be ready. When we returned to pick up food ended up taking 30-35 minutes and then order was not correct. I ordered the perch dinner and they gave me tilapia and tried to tell me they were the same. Then when we got home there were wings missing from our order. Many others there picking up food had to wait far more than quoted time and orders were wrong. Food was okay but not worth what they charged.

The people behind the counter didn't speak English very well, so I had a hard time understanding them. But the food and service were pretty good.

It might have been the language barrier, but make sure if you get the Italian beef you ask for your dip on the side only! I asked for dip on the side, and they gave me dip on the side... but they also dipped the entire sandwich anyway which is what I didn't want. Still tasty, just messy and hard to handle when it's soaked.

We've tried this place twice and been disappointed both times. In the second, my wife went in to the store with the door wide open, waited for like 10 minutes, and then they came out and said "we're closed." Lol. It's fine to put a closed sign on the door and lock it if you need, guys.

The gizzards are amazing, crispy outside and very chewy and fresh on the inside. You can add sauces or lemon pepper dry rub on your own which is nice.

The person at the front counter is always nice to me. The price is super reasonable, plus they don’t force you to tip with ridiculous % like many places nowadays.

Went in last week to pick up a order of perch. There was no one behind the cash register but a huge roach, no cashier. Once she came from around the corner she with what I ordered, I told her what im picking up and soon as she gave me the order she reached to hand me a stack of napkins which now had that roach on it. She noticed it shook the roach off the napkin then proceeded to have me the same stick of napkins that had the very well alive roach on it. The food was fire but they have roaches so it’s a win loose kinda thing lol….I’m disappointed, I also went in a couple days ago and figured it was just a fluke considering it’s cold out and yet again I seen another roach on its back soon as I entered the building….the cashier just stared at me wondering why I wasn’t ordering them finally came from around the counter with a broom to sweep the overturned roach into a trash pile. Ordered the 2pc chicken + 2pc fish with a side of onion rings. Apparently the 2pc chicken is in fact two wings which isn't advertised...at least give a breast or a drumstick as one of the two pieces! I wish I could give them 0 stars. I have ordered from here several times. I’ve always had to wait 20-40 minutes longer than they say it will be. This time they forgot part of our food after we waited 25 minutes longer than they said it would be. When I called them to ask about the food we PAID FOR and did not get, they said “It’s not my fault.” At no point were we offered an apology or a replacement. Their excuse was “we’re too busy. we can’t make it.” I thought I was doing a good thing by trying to support a local restaurant during the pandemic but apparently our business is unwanted. Do not order the cheesesteak. The sandwich was covered in warm, melted mayo, which seeped into the sandwich's crevices and completely overpowered the nearly-imperceptible amount of cheese provided. This, in itself, should be enough to turn you off, but to make matters worse, the peppers did not seem to have touched the grill at all, as they were still cold, and the whole sandwich sits on a bed of LETTUCE, which is simply a stupid idea. Obviously, the lettuce wilted and became lukewarm, because that's what happens when you put a pile of hot, fried meat on top of lettuce. Truly a terribly-designed sandwich. The meal was not worth the money I paid for it, and my guest felt the same about his meal, which was a gizzards and wings combo.

The cheesecake was good, though. I am not sure whether it was made by the restaurant.

Love the Philly cheese steak. I order it with out the tomato, lettuce, and mayo. And then I add some picked jalepenos. Perfect every time

Customer service was ok and the place was clean. However, I didn’t appreciate the hair in my gyro or the cardboard tasting fries. Nothing I have eaten from this place has justified another visit. If you want non seasoned chicken, chewy gizzards, and grease soaked everything else then this is the place for you!

FYI- THIS IS NOT COMFORT FOOD! Comfort food Is made with love - their food is made with a guy who doesn’t wear a hairnet or believe in seasoning. ✊🏿✊🏿
