This is one of my wife's and my favorite Italian restaurants to go to. While it is on the expensive side, every single thing I have gotten here is incredible, including the salad. The salad pictured was the Maggianos salad but with parmesan cheese instead.

I almost always go with our favorite order, the chicken Alfredo(gluten free to share with my wife) but this time I switched it up to try the ravioli and I have to say it is one of the best raviolis I ever had.

Food is consistently good and service has generally been very good as well. Good value with the buy one take one home meals, but we have noticed that the portions on those are shrinking ever so slightly. Nice party room spaces. Restrooms are small for restaurant of this size and parking, due to it being in Mayfair Mall, can be a little dicey. But it always a go to place for friends and family alike.

Update--So now five years later and what a disappointment this restaurant has become. From hostesses who seem to have consistent struggles seating customers (last two times we have been there there were literally 6-8 tables filled where roughly 30-40 are available on the main floor and it has been exasperating getting seated for some reason), cold food and a reduced/recipe updated menu with all the family friendly offers gone and now clearly geared to higher end clientele (first two pages of the menu now feature wines versus meals, and while the service is generally good from the waitstaff, it can be more than a bit slow getting things rolling while staff VISIBLY literally leans against the walls doing absolutely nothing. Honestly, were it not for gift cards we have to use up, I don't know what the attraction to continue eating there is. Very sad as it was always a true favorite for us and for the extended family.

This use to be my family’s favorite Italian restaurant in Wauwatosa but unfortunately it has really gone down hill. The greeter was very nice and so was our server. But the menu drastically changed and not for the better. The prices have increased significantly (I understand inflation) but a $10 increase for less is nuts. You will spend a minimum of 25 a person now. They no longer have buy a meal and take one home. The appetizer prices are horrendous. The food did not taste as good as it used to either. If you’re not dressed up the staff watches your every move making an uncomfortable experience. We had just got our food and a staff member came and started grabbing our stuff asking if we were done. I ended up having to bellow at the guy for putting his hands on our food. We ended up getting boxes for our food and left. I want to note our server was nice and tried his best to take care of us but he was the only one. The rest should reconsider why there are in a food service and a customer service position. After coming there for years this was it for me.

We got seated with another couple, which was just ok, we would've like privacy and we asked for that but the girl that came to our table looked at us like we were crazy and said we would have to wait 10-15 mins for a table. There was PLENTY of tables available throughout our lunch btw. For the price we paid for a salad was such a rip off, for spring lettuce,4 pcs of bacon which equals 1 strip of bacon and less then half avocado and the lasagne which my bf got,hes a chef,he took a few bites and that was enough for us to say never again. I went to the bathroom and the floor was soaking wet. Slipped but did not fall,but for a senior citizen would be devastating. I am a SC..I tired to tell someone but they all seemed pretty preoccupied with conversations amongst themselves. Thanks but no thanks.

My second visit to Maggiano’s on 8/7, this time for a birthday and our server (Nia) recommended the Family Style menu. With choices including Zucchini Fritte, Wagyu Beef, Calamari just for the starters we were sold. The entrees are very solid as well and let’s just say, I hope you are hungry as they do not skimp on the serving sizes. From start (Opening Acts) with aged parmesan and marinated olives to finish (Desserts) with the Tiramisu, Cheesecake and Vera’s Lemon Cookies you will be leaving with plenty of leftovers (which is not a bad thing). We all enjoyed it so much and Nia was so friendly, helpful, and even brought my daughter-in-law a chocolate cake with candle and a happy birthday white chocolate topping. Service was so good that I would not hesitate in asking to sit in her section next time we go. Great time and all-around excellent service! Thanks Nia!

I ordered lasagna meatballs, and that truffle garlic bread. My truffle garlic bread was cold. My meatballs were nasty. I asked them not to put Italian sausage in the lasagna. They said they could do that for me and they still put the Italian sausage in lasagna, the three girls and carryout Are the ones who created my meal and they’re the ones who told them not to give me the Italian sausage. The food is nasty. It’s not real meat. I will never be back there again and I’m Sicillian That’s not Italian food.

Went to celebrate an anniversary and it was a terrible experience. The cream sauce was so thin and runny it did not stick to pasta or silverware! Entrees also arrived cold. Drink service was terrible and did not arrive till our meals were nearly over. Concerns were brought up to both our server and two employees at at the host desk and nothing was done to correct the situation. The only response we were given is that they had recently made some " upgrades" and changes and that not everyone appreciated them! I reached out to the restaurant after the fact as well and was simply thanked for my feedback and told that they look forward to seeing me in the future! No apology, no ownership and no willingness to make this right while I was there on site or after. Absolutely terrible and I would never go back or recommend this to anybody. Our special night was totally ruined! UPDATE I did reach out after the response to my review, and they literally copied and pasted the same email thanking me and asking me to come back again! So three opportunities to resolve the situation and still nothing!

My son had the fettuccine Alfredo for his birthday and he said it was also bland. Hopefully something can be done about the quality of food being served. We came in to splurge for our anniversary tonight! Came in for Dinner about 7pm with a party of 5. We reserved ahead of time. When we arrived then was a few minute wait time. When we got to our table we only had 4 chairs. We had to steal a chair from the other tables. Order the mozzarella stick! Nice and crispy. 10/10 I ordered the ribeye medium rare with mash and asparagus. The steak was cooked nicely. Our party of 3 had lunch in the bar area. What a nice place! Linens and outstanding presentation.Cesar was our server and was very attentive. We had raspberry tea and peach tea. Both were very tasty. We all did the lunch combo. Salads are very good. Italian sausage flatbread, wagu meatball sandwich and an Italian chicken sandwich. All were generous and tasty. They provided a fun birthday dessert of lemony shortbread with a very pretty chocolate happy birthday message on the plate! I would recommend this very pleasant place. We'll be back!

My wife and I have visited Maggiano's many times over the last 20 years or so... and almost every experience 'exceeded expectations'. This one, 30-May-2025, did not. First, the menu was completely different. Sadly, no more 'Marcos Special', which suited our budget and tastes very well. It was the perfect combo of food... and even provided tasty leftovers. Gone. :( Second, and most importantly... the quality of our food we ordered was very poor. I could immediately tell that the Alfredo sauce was not at all close to the same as it usually is. It tasted like it was out of a can or jar... which I can always make and have at home. My Grand Chicken Parm was 'ok', but the piece of chicken seemed 'grisly'... and that's not common. Maggiano's Chicken Parm is/was my absolute favorite... and I've had plenty in my lifetime of almost 52 years. Even the bread and olive oil tasted different. The worst part is... the prices increased a TON!! I wouldn't mind that so much if the food quality remained and/or improved. The place was rather empty too... especially for 6pm on a Friday.

We commute 45min to dine there, and highly doubt we will return until things change back, if they ever do.

Had a banquet here the other day for a wedding.. but wow everything was great.. Sometimes you get the regular sides appetizers etc and they're just like ok.. nothing was just ok.. I ordered The Grand Chicken Parmesan and it was horrible. For starters whoever is eating from this place doesn’t know good quality in food if this is what they’re serving customers!! The chicken was so big I thought to myself is this real? Then to actually take a bite, for it to tastes like rubber and not actual chicken. Questioned myself again is this real!!? I made a reservation for 7:45pm for a table of 7. I arrived with 2 others first at 7:45pm on the dot. They told me they were not able to accommodate my note of wanting a booth and that my table also wasn’t ready. The blonde hostess made a “joke” that wasn’t funny to me as well. The remaining 4 of my party arrived not even 2 minutes later. I saw that they did have a booth big enough for us . I showed them the video proof and the blonde hostess lied to me saying “We don’t have that” while her male co worker looked confused asking “a table of 7 though right?” Meaning they did have it. Then the blonde hostess said “Well you guys wouldn’t fit “ when I knew damn well we would and then she tried saying that they can’t push the tables together. I told them I would have appreciated if they had at least called me and let me know they wouldn’t be able to accommodate us with a booth. After discussing with my family, we ended up walking out and going to PF Changs who graciously accommodated us right away!!!

Service was great. Food, mediocre at best. Having celiac disease brought me to your restaurant for a celebration dinner with 6 others. The other 6 ate family style, I chose the gluten free Alfredo with chicken. The salad and appetizers were enjoyed. Then came my meal. Since all the others were between courses, I ate alone and was so extremely disappointed in the meal. Entirely bland, completely underwhelming. I didn’t eat 75% of my bowl. After I was done and so disappointed, their family style meal was served - again I watched them eat. Reviews were unanimous, Alfredo too bland, the stuffed shells and bolognese was good, lasagna fair. Another great lunch/dinner. This establishment is always clean and has a wonderful open feeling. There are actually two levels in the restaurant which gives the main dining area a great room feeling. Jack our waiter has been at the restaurant for 16 yeaand is excellent at his profession. We both had Salmon. The lemon herb and crispy shrimp and salmon were both excellent. We were sat in Randy’s section and from the moment we were greeted to the moment we left was absolutely phenomenal. Randy went out of his way explain all the menu items and answered any questions we had. He checked to make sure we didn’t have any allergy restrictions to relay to the chef. He was so kind and just a friendly genuine person. He took excellent care of us and the food was incredible.
The manager Gabby stopped over to see how our evening went and we shared how great our experience was with the food and with Randy and we are so so excited to come back and try another item off the menu.

Olive oil was light, delicate, a bit plain, not a lot of bite. Our Italian diners would have liked more flavor. We all liked the fried zucchini, very crunchy. Perfect crispiness. Thumbs up on Mama’s Lasagna. Mama may not have been back in the kitchen cooking it, but they got her recipe right! Sauce on the spaghetti was a bit too sweet for the Italian palettes among us, but otherwise good. Baked Ziti was not too cheesy, cooked to perfection. Pasta was the right amount of al dente in the Fettuccini Alfredo. Deserts were good. We liked the Tiramisu and creme brûlée. Chocolate cake was ok but we like Portillo’s better. Lemon fingers light and delicate.

It was okay. Tables were very close to each other. I kept bumping the people behind me. Food was mediocre and somewhat overpriced. Waitress was friendly and accommodating. Also the water they fill your glass with is awful tasting tap water. My home tap water doesn't even taste that awful! Might be the pipes or faucet but it tastes like crap. I love water and will deal with tap water if necessary but that was hard to drink without nasty after taste affecting the flavor of my food. I will give this place one more chance and get a steak next time and see if they have better tasting fountain drinks or a tap water alternative.

The manager made us feel incredibly unwelcome. I've never had a dining experience ruined by a manager before.\

Manager went table to table greeting everyone. He welcomed and thanked them for coming in, "I heard it's your first time, here's a free appetizer." He went to the table next to us twice, and they told him they already got one. Four tables in the room, ours was the only one he skipped. -- Nobody even asked/cared that it was our first time there.
The server also complained within earshot about us being sat in their section.

Yeah, you could say we felt special as in "different from what is ordinary or usual."

Manager walked by carrying breads, and saw a plate of oil on our table. "Oh, I guess this is for you, huh?" and hands us bread.
That's your manager committed to hospitality?

But I assume if you look like him, you can ignore this and he'll be happy to have you.

Fwiw, it's beautiful inside. Really really nice ambiance. It definitely doesn't feel like an Italian place in the mall. Not at all what I expected.
But the food is what'd you expect for an Italian place in the mall.

We had a family get-together in a reserved room. The food is served family style and was plentiful. It was hot and delicious. There was lasagna, chicken fettuccine, pork roast with mashed potatoes, and chicken parmesan. Appetizers included fried mozzarella, fried zucchini straps and spinach and artichoke dip with toast points. Dessert was strawberry cheesecake and tiramisu. Needless to say, no one went home hungry. Perry did a fabulous job of sering the room and making sure everyone was attended to. Thank you Perry.

The portions are extremely small, other than that it was Beautiful. The waiter did spill my glass of water on me when I was sitting down. I was a wet mess in the cold.
It really was accident, though. He didn't offer to take anything off my bill, So I didn't tip him due to the fact he didn't try to correct the problem. He had great customer service.
The food portions were astonishingly small! The flavor was lacking.

Terrible experience at Mayfair location. PLEASE avoid the new Family Style Meal. You WILL get ripped off! They offer an option to pay $8 per person for an additional entree. For a party of 4, that would cost $32. For example - you would receive 4 1/2 slices of chicken (manager refers to a half slice {~2oz} an acceptable portion size). That same entree if ordered off the menu is around $20 WITH a side. It is a 4 person minimum so if you go with 4, you would assume you'd be given enough for 4 - and the remaining food can be taken home. They give 3 meatballs? The salad was enough for 2 and when the third person asked for more salad, we were told it would be billed ala-carte. In addition, the speed of the meal was as slow as could be. 20 minute wait between appetizer and 30 minute wait after that for entrees. What used to be one of our favorites is now a disgrace. Prices increased 25% and you get less choices, less food, poor service, and an overall poor experience. Speak with your dollars and AVOID Maggiano's until the corporate greed subsides and they return to common sense. It was never like the food was top-notch 5* Italian cuisine - but the family style experience is was what made this place special. No longer the case! Just for the record - we contacted several other Maggiano's locations and Mayfair is the only one with this 'EXTREME' policy. Bad management...

Maggiano’s, a restaurant I’ve been a loyal customer of for over a decade, has consistently delivered outstanding food. However, my recent visit fell short of expectations.

Upon arrival, we were informed that they were reducing their menu. This reduction was evident in the smaller portions of food we received. The spaghetti and meatballs, for instance, were significantly smaller than usual. My friend’s meatball was so small that I had to intervene and request another one. The spaghetti sauce was also scarce, leaving the dish with a paltry amount.

My mom’s lasagna, another dish we ordered, was equally disappointing. The cheese was more prominent than the layers of thick lasagna, and the overall taste was dominated by the cheese rather than the traditional combination of meat and cheese, etc.

On the positive side, my other friend’s chicken dish was well-prepared and served in a generous portion.

Considering the price of the meal, I expected a substantial serving of food, as I’ve experienced in the past. Unfortunately, the current offerings are not up to par.

As a result, we are less likely to return to Maggiano’s unless they restore the generous portions that have been a hallmark of their dining experience.

This was our first time here but definitely won't be our last. Randy was probably the best server we've ever had. Very friendly and tentative. We started with the zucchini frittes which were so delicious. Very crispy and lovely lemon cream sauce. The bread came next and was very good but the olive oil was a little lackluster. ( maybe a little vinegar and spices to elevate ) then my Grand margarita came next which was so good. Shaken to perfection. I ordered the chicken Francese which was very good. The potatoes and asparagus were a little flat though. The wife ordered chicken saltimbocca and everything was perfect on her dish. Overall this was quite the Experience. Big Shout to Randy. Me and my wife came in on 01-02 after getting married with 8 family members.

We dined family style and it was such a positive experience. The food was phenomenal! My favorite was the meatball and my wife's was the penne vodka. Our server was great and so kind. She congratulated us many times and was so attentive to our needs. The manager also came out to congratulate us, which was so kind of her.

The price for 10 people earing family style was much cheaper than expected, especially given the quality. We cannot wait to be back again, and thank you so much for making our wedding day so special!

Food wasn't very flavorful, and don't bother with the wine. I paid $16 per 9oz glass for 2 glasses of "hand selected by a sommelier" wine that I liked, or $42 a bottle, googled it after, and one 750ml bottle is only $8.97 at total wine, complete rip off. It was the Dr. Loosen "Dr. L" Riesling.
