Food definitely way way way over rated and highly over priced! BEWARE ordering drinks as there are no prices on the drink menus. We were charged 25 dollars for a 1919 root beer and Crown vanilla drink!!!! Totally ridiculous ! Service was slow and took forever for us to get a simple hamburger! Avoid the French onion soup as it’s way salty and fresh out of can for 8 dollars! Disappointing is an understatement !

Called 5 mins ahead to see what the wait time was. Was told no wait currently. Showed up and was about to be seated when the GM showed up and told us they were completely full for the evening and we would have to leave with no explanation on why we were told no wait time. Will not be back especially after seeing the responses from the owner.

The 65 dollar porterhouse steak was flavorless and the mushrooms were walmart canned mushrooms and not sautaed like it said and I didn't see the truffle butter and the atmosphere of the place was like a dungy bar setting and not fancy at all...was a awful experience

We had our wedding reception at this venue and couldn’t be happier with the experience! The price was incredibly reasonable for everything we got, and the appetizers were absolutely amazing—our guests are still raving about them. Lori was phenomenal to work with; she went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly and that we felt taken care of every step of the way. The atmosphere was relaxed, stylish, and totally fit our vibe. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique and stressful free receptiom spot!

We’ve always gotten great service and this weekend no different- great food at this place and as others have mentioned, the rooftop is absolutely the best patio! We’ve never had an issue with the first come first serve no reservations up there. Everybody has been super friendly every time we’ve been there no issues whatsoever. Our family prefers the patio and the food at Mallory‘s over the patio and food at nearby establishments. It’s one of the few that has a quiet calm atmosphere even on the patio, and great choices of steaks at a slightly lower cost. They have always been clear to us when making reservations that the patio you can’t reserve but if there’s space you can choose to sit there instead of your reserved space when you get there. Each time we’ve asked for a reservation and highlighted that it’s for a special occasion they’ve come through and giving us a nice table. Son went on a first time dinner date here and said they were so amazing - he didn’t bring enough cash to cover it all (not by just a few $’s either) and they didn’t make a big deal and let it go quietly handling it so that he wasn’t embarrassed. He returned another time and tried to repay and they wouldn’t accept it!!! The backlash to negative reviews was shocking and disappointing to see from an establishment that has always been so great to us- I hope to see more positivity and the ability to ignore those comments. As mentioned we’ve never had a bad meal or bad experience here - just the opposite.

Celebrated my son’s 22 bday here and was very disappointed. Waitress was not friendly at all, didn’t honor a 25% off discount on my sons entree without driver’s liscense. Although could verify with his phone on Snapchat, Instagram etc. for almost a $200 bill never even said happy birthday or offer a dessert. Deal breaker for me and will never go back!!!!!

Decided to give this place a shot for a date night with my wife (rare with kids). That was my bad.
Sat on the rooftop. Service from the bartender was good.
Ordered the artichoke dip for appetizer- the dip was mostly a runny cream. Bread had freezer burn.
Entrees were scallops and a salad, and the ribeye with mashed potatoes and a salad.
The scallops were good! However, $78 for 6 of them. Salad was soggy.
Steak was similar to an Applebees experience, the potatoes were firm (they forgot to bring them, and server said the cooks were “sketchy” tonight) salad also soggy.
Very expensive for very subpar food. Do not recommend.

For our anniversary dinner, we decided to try Mallory’s Restaurant and Rooftop in Hudson, WI. While we were looking forward to a special evening, the experience ended up being a bit underwhelming overall.
We had a reservation for two and parked across the street, which was convenient with the app-based meter system. One thing to note: they don’t reserve rooftop seating, which we didn’t realize when booking. So even though we requested something special for our anniversary, we were seated inside toward the back—not quite the ambiance we had hoped for.
The atmosphere was still nice, and the space was clean, including the restrooms. We started with appetizers—the duck wontons were fantastic, crispy and flavorful, definitely the highlight of the meal. We also tried the sushi-grade scallops, which unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations. At $34 for three scallops, we were expecting something more impressive, but they lacked the richness and quality I’ve come to expect from similar dishes around the metro.
For mains, we ordered the pork chop and ribeye, along with French onion soup and asparagus. The soup came with a warning that it was on the saltier side—which I usually don’t mind—but this was next level. It tasted like someone accidentally emptied an entire salt shaker into the pot. The ribeye was also a letdown, with large chunks of fat that made it difficult to enjoy, and my order was mixed up initially, though our server was polite and corrected it quickly.
We came in expecting a bit more, especially for a special occasion, but left feeling a little disappointed. If we come back, we’ll definitely be more selective about what we order. Lesson learned: ask more questions, and maybe save the rooftop for a more casual visit.

The food was bland and overpriced. Our bread stick was clearly microwaved and turned tough, then into a brick by the time I was ready to eat it. The steak was overcooked. The daily soup tasted like flour. The seafood pasta was also bland. Bummer.

Calm and dark atmosphere, our food came out super late and it wasn't busy, cold hard fries, over marinated meat, soggy bread, server had an air pod in her ear, the pretzel was to hard and not big enough for how much it was, very underwhelming for overpriced menu, asparagus was good, Cajun steak bites are very over cooked and under seasoned, had to pour our own water, hard soggy stale bread sticks, the ketchup bottle they gave us was actually Marinara, the Cesar salad was meh very soggy and welted salad, the croutons were crisped too much, the refillable water didn't come with ice. Non eco friendly plastic straws, cups are not aesthetic, out server rushed us, no military discount, the environment was very depressing, I'm very upset the rooftop wasn't open bc of winter, very excited for that but it was very rude that we couldn't go up there, I felt watched the entire time with all the cameras. Just over all not a good place to go with your girlfriends unless you want to spend lots of money with low quality food. The only good part was the alcohol, but no prices on the alcohol menus. My meal was $13 and I gave a $20 expecting to get cash back, but I didn't get any. It's like she just kept it. Played horrid music like I wanna throw up. Soft rock gross. The owner is so rude and disrespectful. The dq ice cream we got after was so much better

This place doesn’t even deserve the one star that I am giving but it will have to do for now. While on a small road trip, some friends and myself decided to stop and try out this place. Although we were greeted upon entry, the waiter we had was Terrible. She was rushing us to order, was over talking as questions were being asked about food items on the menu and refused to check one of my friends ID for a alcoholic beverage because “he looked young”. She went as far as to claim his ID was fake because he had a baby face. To keep from causing a scene we just left… we will NEVER return BY FAR THE WORST PLACE WE’VE EVER VISTED! The charred steaks gave me explosive diarrhea. I had to take a dollar bill from work to wipe my face because there were no napkins. I think the bartender on the roof top was one of Elon’s Tesla bots. Went into this place for a drink and to see if we might want to try the rooftop for dinner. Manager at the door acted like the rooftop was packed we could try. We walked up like 6 people up top on a Saturday afternoon. We grabbed a table and waiter says to us I need to leave my chair on the rail as I moved it to get a better view. I said no problem we will just switch tables. So we move and I order a drink and he says if you’re not eating you cannot sit here. Well that was it for me walked out. Clownshow. I’d be embarrassed if I owned that place.

All apps where barely warm to cold and the specialty drinks where not good. the fact that we needed a 50 dollar minimum to sit on the roof top is ridiculous especially when it was after the dinner rush and half the restaurant was empty, front of house was rude and very unwelcoming. Worst restaurant in Hudson. And by the way there are very many restaurants with great patios, better food/staff and better views that don't charge a minimum. Actually no restaurants in hudson charge a minimum except this one. Total trash!

Left my coat and when I went back to get it the Manager (Owner?) acted very strangely then admitted she saw it hanging the next morning but was too busy to put it away and no longer had it. She didn’t offer to go look if anyone else put it away either which was odd. I hope whoever she gave it to enjoys it.
Living walking distance away, we used to enjoy it here despite average food but the manager really puts a damper on a nice night out as last 3 times complained how’s she’s alone with no staff vs just staffing appropriately to take care of your customers.

We used to love going to this restaurant, but now they only do HH downstairs inside. During the summer, why would you not have HH upstairs overlooking the river? Makes no sense. They lost a lot of business from us, and our boating friends, who used to go there a lot. Disappointing.
Additionally, I emailed the restaurant numerous times to get a copy of their menu with prices as we were planning a work event and wanted to see if it was within budget. I never heard back despite repeated attempts. I don't understand why they think they are so special that they don't need to include prices on the menu. Terrible customer service.
Don't waste your time going here. There are plenty of other awesome restaurants in Hudson that provide pricing and they don't limit which seat has a HH price.

My daughter and I stopped by this Saturday after a lovely 2 hour St. Croix cruise.
The rooftop bar was inviting and comfortable, as we were able to snag a part of the couch!
We enjoyed a couple of apps-cheese curds and pretzles with 2 different dipping sauces. They were both delightful!
They have a great Mule selection. I had the bourbon Mule, and taking the bartender's suggestion, my daughter chose the prickly pear Mule. Both were great, really refreshing and was a perfect end to a great afternoon.
We both agree we are coming back!

Could be a cool place to eat. There were four of us who ordered steaks, 3 paid extra for the dry age strip and the other got a tenderloin. Tenderloin came out looking like hamburger, and the three strips had no flavor and were like chewing rubber, no tenderness. This was after waiting over an hour for food. Manager tried to make it right, still paid over $60 for food we wouldnt eat.

The food, well, stick to the apps and sandwiches. The menu says no re-dos on steaks. We spent several hundred $$$ on steaks and hi end meals and no one even asked how they were. I tried to eat about 1/3 of a $42 steak then pushed the plate away. No one even asked if there was an issue or IF I wanted to take it home for the dogs. Next time will be sandwiches and drinks for way less $$

Stop in this restaurant the day after valentine's day around 6pm. I check the restaurant website, it stated they weren't busy. Walked in and waited around 10 min, no one came to seat me and my friend. 5 more min passed a party of 2 walk in, the waitress came by and asked if we have reservations, both party said no. She went on and said they have no table open and we'll have to wait. I can sense her vibe, she didn't want to seat me and my friend but bc we came in first and neither party have reservations, she decided to seat us first. My friend and I was seated in the back where it was super cold. The waitress who took our order was the person who seated us. We ordered soup and got salads. There was male waitress there, he was great. I Didn't get his name. The steak was great, worth the $$! Whiskey salmon not the best, too sweet for my liking. This is a beautiful place to dine in, but like their next door neighbor Pier 500, the vibe just wasn't right for a person of color. I would love to try this place again and I'm hoping for a better vibe the next time I make it around.

Cool atmosphere. Like 1920's. Private booths. Upstairs is an enclosed outdoor bar with warm fire tables. Basement level has a speakeasy where we got the smokey oldfashioned, very good. They treated us well. Service was on point, warm, family run, and great music. Burgers were juicy, delicious, good price. Get the tots with them. Never had tatertots like this anywhere. Bathrooms are top-notch, clean, lovely decor. Loved the Mallorys experience.

Started coming here for the Sunday brunch on the rooftop patio. Probably went about 8 weekends in a row, both the food and atmosphere were that good. Farmhouse platter or the Cristo sandwich would be my recommendation. Would be remiss to not mention HOGAN the bartender up there, that man would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it, great guy! Also went there for a happy hour in the main restaurant as well and was astounded, a REAL happy hour with good deals rather than just a dollar or two off drinks. If you are ever in Hudson, you must go there (preferably call ahead to see if the rooftop is open, usually Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday brunch). The scallops make me feel like I'm back on the Atlantic coast again they are that good. Wonton appetizers are also a must. Ignore the 1 star reviews I have been there 15+ times in the past few months and have never seen someone who wasn't having a great time.

The service has always been slow, and the manager is straight up rude. All you have to do is look at their responses to bad reviews to see their nasty attitude... There are many lovely restaurants in Hudson, and their owners all don't seem to be whiney, stubborn babies on the internet. I'd rather go to one with good service. Oh, and I can't wait for my "this commenter has a political agenda" response.

We love Mallorys, fun, welcoming, good food. Jason, the owner, runs a great restaurant, the atmosphere is always super welcoming. All of the food is great, I especially love artichoke dip, steak tips, Blueberry Salad, and any pasta creation they have. The nachos are AMAZING as well, not to mention they make great drinks. There are 3 levels, main bar and restaurant, downstairs speak easy, upstairs rooftop bar complete with fire warmers so you can go there even in the winter. All around great place, our friends and we love it.

Been to Mallory 4 times, but the last 2 times we couldn't get seating. Came in on Wednesday and Friday and hostess acted like we didn't exist. Stood by bar for 30 minutes and wasn't even acknowledged. Friday, came in and was asked the number of parties. Later, 2 of the parties couldn't make it, but the hostess told us they couldn't accommodate us anymore. I had spent a lot of money in this establishment during the 4 visits, but this will be the last.

We recently went for our anniversary, though we have been a couple times before. We were seated even prior to our reservation, our waitress was sweet and friendly, and the food was worth every penny. I wanted something "fancier" then our local small town establishments and felt it was spot on.

Everything here was excellent- starting with the hostess and all staff. As a single female guest, I can tell you that’s not often the case. I had rotisserie chicken with a baked potato- really nicely cooked. The ranch dressing for my salad was amazing. Everything was high quality!

Had a great time! Great rooftop atmosphere and view. Wait staff (Katie) was very attentive and fun. Excellent variety of cocktails. Apps were good... Bruschetta and steak bites. Had steaks and chicken marsala. Steaks were underwhelming but the marsala was to die for. Good wine list if by the bottle. Restrooms, like the rest of the bar, were clean and elegant. Overall, had a wonderful time. Will be back soon.

So I placed an order through door dash for the 3rd time in 3 weeks from this restaurant. First order was for a tomahawk steak. Order went flawlessly. Last week the order got mixed up and canceled. 3rd order tonight door dash calls me, says my order left with another dasher and they couldn't get ahold of the driver so they were refunding my order. I called the restaurant because I can not fathom how an upscale restaurant like this can continue to make mistakes like this. I ask to speak to a manager. Some entitled women says well I'm the Manger. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. Was terribly aggressive from the start and then when I get upset she tells me she's staring at my dinner on her grill. I explained to her, pretty upset, about the call I received from door dash and she said well we are getting our money either way. I said I was never going to order from this restaurant again and her response was she hoped I didn't. Customer service at McDonald's is better. I see why Mallorys has a 3 star review on Google.
Just read some of the other bad reviews. There's a trend I see. The owner attacks people whom leave Nad reviews instead of trying to appease the upset customers and goes on to mention they get 1 in 20 bad reviews.... 1 in 20? I'm sorry but you (the owner) are satisfied with 5% of the people who dine at your establishment are unhappy. This restaurant even critiqued a women on Google because of how she looked in her profile picture because she took a photo of their low quality food and posted it!!!!!

I thought I was going to get tackled at the door by the bartender. We went in to see if the roof was not too sunny. I just had a bad vibe when I walked in. I'm Hispanic and I thought she was talking down to me.
I don't usually pull the race card but what else could it be? Good thing I found a much better option with friendly people.
After reading the review from a customer that they responded to (called them a one star customer) I wondering how they stay in business. walked out. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
EDIT- this person EMPLOYS Hispanics as most restaurants do. Doesn't mean that this person isnt racist.
The responses are horrible as I expected mine to be. I gave these guys a chance even after reading the reviews and responses. Guess this restaurant just doesn't know how to deal with criticism. Plenty of better restaurants with good staff. Now I know why they can't keep good employees.

Stopped in to have a drink on the rooftop ... Great view of other rooftops ... Drinks were ok ... Wife just got through with a few surgeries and needed a quiet place to eat ... The hostess (owner ?) went WAY out of her way to please us an even gave us a table in a private room ... The server was the most polite and attentive one we've ever had ... Would definitely come back when in town. ... Appreciate your service !!!

Went there once for the rooftop bar and now I just entertain myself with the reviews of customers and the narcissism of the owners. I got where I am because I treat customers with respect and courtesy and the more I apologize the more money I make. Whoever owns this place obviously didn't get their money through working with other people....
Edit: As for your response(plural now, wow, must be healthy for you to re-read all your negative reviews and keep replying 😅😅😅, anyway, male Karens are called Chads. Get with the lingo)... Lol. I've literally walked out of the bike shop, seen people looking at your menu on the sidewalk, showed them your Google reviews, and they quickly found someplace else(so no, nobody who is reading your responses thinks they should waste money there).

The steak salad was really good. It was the tenderest steak I’ve eaten and perfectly cooked.
The pork shank was amazing. Don’t let the 4oz description throw you off- it’s big. It was amazing. Tender with a crisp outside and fall apart inside. Perched on excellent garlic mashed potatoes and served with a mildly spicy habanero bbq sauce. Don’t miss this entree, best shank in town.

My wife and I come in a few times yearly and always enjoy everything we try. I had the Wagyu Ribeye on our last visit and it may be the best steak I've ever eaten. By far the best steaks in town in my opinion. Looking forward to coming back soon!

Had an early dinner after graduation today with a party of 11. Not sure why this place doesn't have 4 rating. Nice atmosphere, very attentive and nice server. Menu prices are a little higher than others in the area but after the first few bites it is completely justified. I had the seafood pasta. Normally when you order a seafood dish with shrimp the shrimp are tiny, but not at this place. Big shrimp and amazingly fresh diver scallops. Graduate daughter wanted steak so she had the waygu ribeye. At 54.00 it is a bargain for the quality of the waygu. Will definitely be back for the food and need to check out the roof top.

This place is consistently the worst service in town. I’ve had terrible steaks, the worst old fashioned in town. Management is awful. The fish rots from the head. Don’t expect anything but confrontation. The bartender on 5/19 was the most surly and dismissive service person I’ve ever encountered.
